Bill and the guys at the Hudson NY location are top notch! Friendly and fast! Myself and my family have been using this location for years and have never had issues with getting an appointment. Make an appointment they can be a little on the busy side but that just reiterates there popularity!
Hats off to Monro mechanic Ian Price who detected a loose ball joint during a routine tire change on our 20-year old Volvo and replaced it. Car steers and tracks like a new car.
I started bringing my car to Monro in Hudson after a friend couldn’t stop raving about how well they take care of her car. Now I get it. After seeing their work firsthand, I trust them completely. Bill and Ian are fantastic. They are respectful and easy to work with. Recently, after an oil change, coolant flush and an engine mount replacement, I drove for about three hours and could feel the difference. That kind of result says a lot. I live about two and a half hours away, but I now make the trip to Hudson for oil changes and any other work without hesitation. Their prices are right in line with other shops in the area, but what you get in return is peace of mind, excellent service and honest time estimates. For me, that combination is absolutely worth the drive. I also posted this review on Yelp! I can't say it enough--these guys are great.
I recently had an experience at Hudson Monro that highlighted opportunities for improvement in their customer service, and I hope that sharing it will contribute to their development. Initially, I was quoted $49 starting for the oil( Syntactic) change with an estimated total cost of approximately $60-$70; however, upon arrival, the comprehensive total cost amounted to $98, including labor and materials. Despite having a scheduled 8:30 am appointment, I was informed that servicing my vehicle would require a one-hour wait just to commence work, which prompted me to reconsider proceeding. What is the purpose of an appointment if not to ensure timely service? I had to leave before the service could be completed. Regrettably, the representative did not offer an apology. Will never go back to monro in Hudson.
I’ve been taking all my vehicles, including company vehicles, to Monro in Hudson, NY for around thirty years. Bill Greene and his crew are always helpful and have never let me down. I highly recommend them.
The folks at this shop are great. They are accommodating, friendly and do great work. I just had an inspection done on this visit but they have performed other work on my and my husband’s cars over the years. I highly recommend them.
He charged me $35 to mount and balance each tire, but then would not put them on the car because he said he only had two workers and they were booked up. He wouldn’t even give me a time any other day that he could do it he just couldn’t do it!
Thank you for the response. After this message, I did call the number provided and followed the instructions given, including selecting the option I was directed to. Unfortunately, this did not result in the issue being resolved. Instead, I spent most of the morning on the phone without meaningful assistance. I’m sharing this so others understand that while outreach was made, the problem was not actually addressed.
To clarify, after this response I called the number provided four times. Three calls were disconnected. On the fourth call, the representative contacted the shop and ultimately told me that I “did not pay to have the tires put on the car.” I was also told that I could obtain an estimate from another shop for a lower price and mail it in. This did not resolve the issue and required a significant amount of time on the phone. I’m posting this update so others understand that while outreach was made, the matter was not actually addressed.
We have been using Monro to change our all season tire/wheels to already mounted snow tires for years. They always ask when it would be convenient for us and accommodate.
I brought my 2014 Toyota Corolla in because I had a front wheel bearing going bad. I also needed an oil change and tire rotation. I was very satisfied with the work, and the quality of it. But unfortunately, their prices are very high. A local reputable mechanic quoted me over $200 less to do the wheel bearing. Unfortunately he was booked out over one week and I could not have him do it. So I brought it to Monroe to have it done. I have used Monroe on and off for several years. I have always been happy with the quality of their work, but their prices seem to be out of line with the rest of the industry.
After 2 weeks of driving and getting the truck looked over after my recent visit to Monro. Came to find out when I had them do an alignment and install a tie rod end. My clamp was loose and caused all sorts of knocking when I first left there as well that holds the tie rod from clunking. Luckily we caught this before an accident could have occurred! Will not go there again since I can’t get a refund or a redone alignment that I paid way to much for
Everyone was so helpful. They let me know what needed to be done immediately and what could wait a little longer, which I appreciated. The mechanics were done before I thought they would be. I really appreciated my experience there and would highly recommend them. Thanks!
Our vehicle detected low pressure, and Ian kindly checked everything for us before we headed back on the road to NYC. He was extremely hospitable and gave us A+ customer service. Thanks for giving us peace of mind.
Lifesavers. Plain and simple. Had an exhaust pipe crack in the flex pipe of my 2019 Jeep Cherokee.
Went to the local Hudson Jeep Dealership, they wanted to charge me $1.6K+ to replace the entire flex pipe. They refused to just patch up the crack real quick.
Came in here on a Saturday to ask for a quote, not only did they quote me instantly, but they also saw me right away, no appointments required, on a Saturday, of all days.
They saw me and were done patching up the crack in an hour and a half, give or take. Went home afterwards and car was driving as good as new.
And they only charged me $290 for the service! Literally over $1,300 in savings!!! I'm VERY glad that I went here instead of giving into the Jeep Dealership's demands.
What an immense waste of money that would've been! And, as an FYI, it is now the following Monday, and the car is STILL driving without ANY issues whatsoever!
Can't recommend them enough! If I EVER have ANY other muffler or tire issue, they're the FIRST ones I'm going to, no questions asked!
I only wish I would've picked up a brochure or something that told me ALL the services they provided! 10/10 would go again, if EVER necessary again in the future!

We had an Engine Oil Pressue Warning Light and had to be towed to Monro Auto Service. Bill and his crew went above and beyond to promptly help us get back on the road. We really appreciate it.
I normally have small routine rotations & inspection work done at jiffy lube but they were pretty rude this past time and unwilling to schedule me for a slot. On my way back to town I swung into this Monro location and the guy at the counter was incredibly kind. Got me scheduled the next day and answered all my questions. Once the appointment came he was just as nice, super fast, on time and replaced my inspection sticker perfectly straight and inline with my registration sticker! That little detail makes me feel like these guys care about what they’re doing. I’ll be scheduling all future work here and recommend to anyone.
*they have pucks for electric vehicles and took extra care when lifting for tire rotation.

Had a problem with brakes sticking and they were able to help me out with a new front set. Works great at good cost and professional service. I would highly recommend scheduling with them if you have mechanical problems they can help with.
BEWARE- do not go here. As read in other reviews after my experience, unfortunately —this shop is run by scammers. I went for a $21 state inspection and they told me I needed $1400 in work, with no evidence or photos provided. Never had been to this shop before and certainly wouldn’t agree to that with a shop I’ve never been to. If you need a renewed inspection sticker, this shop believes they can scam you out of $1000+ in order to get it. I went to a local body shop for the inspection and passed easily — my car doesn’t need any repairs.

I took my car here for a new tire installation. When I got home and went to open the passenger side door on my car, it didn’t open properly. And upon further inspection (visual of coarse), I saw that the right hand side of where my door opens was bent inwards. I own a near mint condition 2003 Subaru Forester, and now the door is destroyed because of the carelessness of this shop. Mistakes happen and are understandable;however, damaging a person’s car and neglecting to tell them about it is not understandable. I didn’t notice it until I went home and tried to open my passenger door. If you get work done here make sure you inspect your vehicle before driving it off of the lot - very important important :). In fact, I’d recommend taking before and after pictures. A simple tire installation should not result in damage done to my vehicle, which leads me to suspect the damage might have been intentional. Do not come here. If they can’t be trusted to do a basic tire installation, imagine the type of damage they could do dealing with your brakes, suspension parts engine fluids, etc. it’s sad when a simple job can’t be done properly. stay away for your own good. Don’t make my mistake.
