This is a great spot to have your car repaired. Honest, thorough , and total pros. Went above and beyond. They explained everything that was going on with my car. Would recommend this place to my family and friends.

Scheduled apt for 2 new tires at 11am. Paid someone to bring the car for me only to find out the tires wouldn’t be there until the next day and then told would need to bring car back the following week. After speaking with a manager and explaining my situation he told me to come after 3. At 3:15 I arrived stood in waiting area for 45 minutes before speaking with anyone. I was then told 2 hour minimum wait time. The guy was very very rude, never got an apology. I was so desperate for the tires I bought them and had to go elsewhere to have them put on. I have been going here for the last 15 years with the past 3 times being a disappointment. Unfortunately this was the last straw I will not be going back. I certainly hope you improve your services.

I always have an amazing experience when I come to this Mavis. The whole team seemed to communicate extremely well to fit me in at the end of the day. They got my car in and out in 30 minutes and gave me updates to reassure me everything was going smoothly. Cant recommend them enough! I’ll be back for my next oil change for sure.

I went yesterday for routine maintenance and I felt really comfortable with mike keeping me informed on what my vehicle needed and prices were upfront. I will go back for my vehicle needs.

Had ordered 4 toyo tires for instillation. Orderd 3 days prior , based on website " next day delivery" got mesg. below . Reservation No. #558897 A friendly reminder that your Tire Purchase, Balancing and Installation appointment is coming up soon. When you arrive, please provide our team members with your reservation number. DATE AND TIMEJanuary 9, 2026 9:00 AM UPON arrival no tires had shipped to store , was told they MAY be in @ 3 pm .@ 11 pm 3 tires were delivered. 4th tire could not be sourced or delivered until Monday 1/12/26. No explination was given . The 4th tire did arrive . on monday . & all 4 were installed & allignment performed . Work was well done & in timely manner . The issue was the the computer system failed to order & send 4 tires \ failed to note that only 3 had been sent & automatically sent notice that the appoinment for installation was ready ??? I had made the choosen date & time specifically based on travel from another state & had lodging for that time & date . the computer error ? & MAVIS TIRE failure delayed my travel for 4 days . No compensation Or price adjustment. for the screw up was offered Nor explination was given . NO customer survey showed up in my email so I had to locate this . in closing note the tire install & allignment were performed well by the staff & is not a reflection on them.

They charged me $30 more on an oil change than I have ever been charged anywhere else. What is a $16 service fee? They did have a cute dog tho, +1 star

Brought my Volvo in for a tire pressure concern and ended up having to replace the whole tire due to a gash. They showed me the damage and walked me through options, including conditions that would be safest for continued driving until replacement. I did order and install with them the next day. The cost was high because Volvos are particular and I needed my new tire to match the other 3. The team was courteous, transparent, and hard-working. Overall positive experience (as far as unexpected and relatively costly tire replacements go).

Beware: do not get brake work done at Mavis Discount Tire, Hudson (Fairview Ave). I brought my 2022 Silverado in on September 20, 2025 for front brakes; they replaced a caliper, pads, and rotors and failed to properly reset the sensor. Weeks later I heard a noise and got a low brake fluid warning; on November 5 their regional manager showed a torn caliper boot leaking fluid on the other side of the front brakes. After more work their replacement caliper was defective, they couldn’t clear the brake system error, and the truck was limited to 43 mph. A dealership diagnosed a failed master cylinder and related components requiring $3,579.24 in repairs that did not exist before Mavis worked on my truck. Mavis performed all the brake work that led to this damage but has refused to compensate me for the repair costs or lost time. Avoid this location and think twice before trusting them with your brakes

Got a flat tire while on a road trip and this place was great! Quick service and great prices, really able to help us when we were in a jam! Would definitely come back again

Was told this morning (Jan 2, 2026) they're not doing NY safety inspections "until further notice". It was considerate of the staff to call & tell me the appointment I had made online was invalid -- would be great if they removed the option from their website until they're able to do inspections again.

Really nice crew, honest guys. Bit on the slower side but they were also end of the year busy. The two managers were very kind to all the folks there.

They were very clear, consistent and consise on what the issue is and made sure I was well informed. The service provided by everyone very polite and respectful aswell. I felt like I was taken care of. Just sucks for me due to my circumstances to find this out but life goes on.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding service when it mattered most I can’t say enough good things about Mavis Tire — and especially Mike and Ryan. I came in right before closing after Jiffy Lube told me my tire only had 15 pounds of pressure. I honestly just asked if I needed an appointment, and without hesitation they said, “No — we’ll take it right in.” They immediately brought my car in, found a nail in the tire, removed it, and fixed the problem on the spot — all at the end of their day, when many places would have turned me away. There was no rushing, no attitude, just genuine professionalism and kindness. This is what real customer service looks like. Mike and Ryan went above and beyond, and because of them I’ll absolutely be coming back and recommending this location to everyone I know. Thank you for taking care of me when I needed it most. These guys took great care of me Ryan sold me what I needed and told me where my vehicle stood as far as road worthiness and William did a great job servicing the car.

Got all 4 tires replaced with Mavis Traction control tires advertised as $166 each ($664 total), rubber valve replacements for $40, and wheel alignment for $120. After the tire recycling charges and taxes, it came out to $1005. I think the alignment is ~$20 overpriced, and valve replacements should be $20 not $40. Everything else seemed reasonably priced. Tires were on a Black Friday sale, so I got $12 off each tire. They had 3 cubicles for customers to use while they wait. Nice and comfortable with electrical outlets.

We had a flat tire driving back home on Thanksgiving weekend… Thank you so much Mike and Will for your kindness and quick turnaround on this busy Sunday afternoon. Great pricing and excellent service!

My family have been long time customers of Mavis tires in Hudson NY. We have given you a lot of business with our family vehicles. The customer experience has declined sharply since we started business with Mavis. This week I was in on two occasions on back to back days where the wait time has exceeded two hours.On the last day I was there when Mavis opened and watched numerous other people who came after me come and go. The latter time I was the first one in and only in for a oil change and tire rotation. I don't know why this occurred, but it was not how Mavis operated a few years ago. I thought it may have been a one time thing. But recently my last experiences have been very frustrating and unacceptable. We are looking into going elsewhere for our auto needs.Maybe this management doesn't care, but somewhere up the line to corporate will care. A complete reset of the customer service is needed at this time. I have always counted on Mavis for my auto needs, but I no longer see Mavis meeting our auto needs. Sitting in the waiting room, that sentiment was a subject going around the room. Hopefully you can change this before it really hits home and hurts business.

I’ve been a loyal Mavis Discount Tire customer for years. I’ve bought multiple sets of tires from them and trusted them with big jobs like brake replacements, as well as routine maintenance like oil changes. Unfortunately, they’ve gone downhill badly, and I won’t be going back. I had a 10:00 a.m. appointment this morning for an oil change. By 11:30, my car was still sitting where I left it. They hadn’t even started. When I asked what was going on, I was told, “We are overbooked.” I understand being busy, but why ask customers to make an appointment if you’re not going to honor it? This was the last straw. They were once good, but that’s no longer the case in my experience. I’ll be taking my business down the street to the Walmart Auto Service Center instead. They may be a mega-corporation (don’t particularly like), but at least they respect their customers’ time and honor their appointments. I will not be returning to Mavis Discount Tire for any future work.

Mike and his staff were able to help me out today and got me back on the road today when I wasn’t going to be on the road until Saturday, which would’ve been insane! So I’m really happy and thank you very much. I appreciate that. Thank you!

I would like to thank Mike for helping me out with my tire issue. My tire was losing air, and Mike diagnosed the problem. His team was able to immediately fix it! I left Mavis knowing my car was safe to drive! Thank you for the great service!

Had to change my rating after the last few times at this mavis. Used to be a 5 stars, but ever since the summer they have been extremely inconsistent. Every time I set up an appointment it becomes over 1.5 hour wait. It almost seems like there is no real point in making appointments anymore since they honor the walk ins before the appointments. Used to be great :(.

This is the first time this has happened. I made 2 appointments once at 1pm and once for 5pm both were just tire rotations. My 1pm appointment didn’t go well as they told me to come back at 5 since they stated they were backed up. I said sure no worries what’s one time. The 2nd time I got there at around 4:45 for my appointment last week and waited until 6 and did not get my car looked at. I thought an appointment was for that time, but unfortunately it is not. Personally I think they are overtaking people and not enough technicians. Expect to wait more than an hour from your specified appointment time. Extremely nice staff, just poorly ran at the moment unfortunately.

I was helped by Will who was able to get me in and out with my tire fixed in about 30 minutes. Very quick and friendly. Will definitely come here again

Went to Mavis in Hudson for a inspection and tire rotation. Ended up needing 2 tires. They were very professional and friendly. Got a great deal. Scott and Will were great to work with. Highly recommend with this staff.

Everyone who helped me out was incredibly kind, respectful, personable, knowledgeable and accommodating. I had to change my appointment time with short notice and no one gave a second thought to it. They assured me that they would get the job done and they did, in such quick time, too! I was at the store for an hour while they repaired a hole in one of my tires and even rotated them for me. When asked to give a Google review, I knew I’d be giving the best rating. It was obvious that they are busy and understaffed but they didn’t let that stop them from providing their customers with a good experience. I’ve worked in retail customer service for years so I know how hard it can be to put a smile on your face and make friendly conversation with strangers when you are having a hard day but these guys did it with no effort at all. On top of everything, it was so affordable which is so important to me. Thank you to the Hudson Mavis team for making my life a little easier today!

Josh the regional manager is beyond amazing!!! Polite, understanding and patient with the customer and his employees! Even though his store was packed he stayed calm and collected and made sure all customers were taking care of.Truly a great guy!!!

We took two travel trailer tires for repair. The guy behind the counter was to the point, but polite. He was helping a gentleman who didn't speak English well, and was really patient with him. Our tires were repaired in about 15 minutes. It was a little pricey. $63.00 for 15 minutes is pretty steep, but we were in a bind.
