They damaged my rim and didn't own up to it .......will never go again.
Thanks for responding Raul you just proved you are a lair.......you showed the camera's position but no videos.....I have never had to remove my tires and have never touched a curb?? Also went to Reputable Mech to have the TPMS sensor activated and they even noticed the damage and stated it came from the tire mounting machine!!!!!
Raul’s is my go-to spot for anything car related. They’re super helpful, honest, and get things done fast. I’ve brought my car here a few times now for an oil change, brakes, and even some engine stuff and every time they’ve taken good care of me. Prices are fair and they don’t try to upsell you on random things. Definitely recommend if you want a mechanic you can trust in Newburgh.

edit: 2 years later, my tires are just now showing visible signs of wear. I will go back. I tell anyone who will listen to go there.
Don’t go to this shop they are crooked and unfair. I stop by and show them a picture of my muffle that is blown. They told me that the still have to check it out and there is a $30 dollar fee that will go towards the repair.
They check it out and told me they can not fix it because they do not have the parts, and I have to get from the dealer.
She said it was $30, I said to her, even though you can not fix it. Yes, that their policy. I handed her a card, she said they don’t take cards, cash only. She showed me an atm. I replied, I will go to my bank to avoid unnecessary fees. She ask for my license, I handed it to her. Thinking that she was going to copy the card, this lady told me I should drive to the bank with a license to get the money, or she have to hold the car hostage, which she did.
Think before you doing business with these people.
Highly recommend this shop,service tech was very helpful and girl at counter was very nice.been looking for a certain size tire which they had and mounted it right away.worth trying this shop
Worse place ever, they over charge you when they have the chance. I took my wife truck cause she had a nailed in one of her tires and when we arrived it was 10 to 7pm which they closed at 7pm, so they had enough time to patch the tire prior of closing. They were able too patch the tire right about 7pm, but because it was closing time they decided to over charge double for the patch work. The workers there were very un-professional and don’t even care about the consumer, it seems that they needed the extra cash to go out and drinking. Stay away from this place.
I have been going to this auto repair shop for years! However, recently, I had to stop going to them. Raul is reasonably priced, but you get what you pay for. You always have to buy your own parts for them to install. They only take cash, which is a huge inconvenience. I was willing to put up with it, but this last time was the final straw! There was a huge problem with my routers. I purchased two of them for all four tires and only had three placed on my car. What happened to the fourth one? No one knows? Took my car to another shop, and I had to pay 1,000 dollars for them to fix and get the parts for my car that went missing and had already purchased. Listen, you couldn't pay me to come back here! I got burned really bad by this place, which I wasn't expecting since I had been a loyal customer to them for years. Please be careful out there with these mechanics they just want to take your money for poor service.
I have been using them for years for tires and some mechanical work and was pretty satisfied until today. I need my son's control arm changed out. They told me to bring it in before 4pm. The tow truck got there at 12pm. They told the tow guy they are refusing the car because they had no room. When I got there they told me they can't do it because the subfram is bad and the control are is part of the subfram and i kneed to junk the car because no one has it. I'm not stupid now. The control arm is separate from the sub. When he saw i knew what I was talking about he said he do it for $380 to see if I just leave. I said I was told $160 to $190. I get that the bolt are rusted and it's gonna be a bit harder to get them off. If they would have said $250 I could do that. They was trying to brush me off saying that they're busy and dont have time to talk to me and said pay or leave. How do you treat a repeat customer like that. just telling anything because they didn't want to work on the car. They could have just been honest and said look it looks like it's gonna be a real difficult job we don't wanna touch it.
Have tried here twice. Years ago they screwed up my car and tried to charge me to fix their mess up. Today I thought I'd give them one more chance. The guy over the phone was rude (answered saying "what you want"), refused to help me, and hung up on me when I told him I'm looking to get a price on my car's repairs without asking what my car needed. Proceeded to ignore all my call backs. Unprofessional and they are out of chances with me. Sucks, I got my work proced elsewhere around $1,200. Guess that don't need it. A more professional and courteous shop is helping me now
The used tires are good but it would be nice if they let you know they don’t do alignment as your tires will show what happens when an alignment isn’t done. I had to pay another $120 out of my pocket so I could drive safely on the road. Then had to pay to get an alignment done the following day. They said that once you have an alignment done, this isn’t supposed to happen. However, the proof is right here. These tires alone was $180 for both. Though not bad for used tires, having to put up more afterwards was a hassle. Overall, the service provided was good.
I've been to the shop twice, one time they did a great job repairing my muffler another time they put the wrong size tire on my car and said they don't accept refunds for used tires. I asked them to install this tire size and I made a mistake as well, however they should have remedied the error and that tire never should have been installed by a mechanic in the first place. Honestly the first time would have been a 4 star rating if their customer service wasn't terrible.
Last time I went to them they didn't have my tire size but I have had great service here before though and will continue to come back for minor stuff. Excellent job on their part. Helped weld a part for my car that was dragging on the street.
I came here after driving around nyc and my tire pressure indicator coming on. The staff at Raul was able to attend me within 10 mins of arrival, and were able to find the small nail that was in my tire. They patched the tire and had me on my way in 15 min. They even checked my other tire pressure and filled those up to appropriate PSI levels.
As a heads up the place is cash only and does have an atm on site.
They where really nice and friendly! They also went above and beyond to find the tire size I needed. Also their price was reasonable and the workers where quick.
Lack professionalism, lack business sense. Each person that walks in is a potential life costumer. These guys could care less. I was both polite and respectful when I asked to show them my vehicle issue. I received silence, then arrogant. It was unwarranted. I would have of course pay for any service rendered.
They should be shut down, but that won't happen because of the community they serve have economic restraints , so that means very little options. So these unprofessionals will continue to profit. They are bad words that I cannot post.
I had an emergency with a flat tire and Maurice and the young lady at the desk/window was very nice and professional. Service was quick and price was reasonable. I would definitely be going back there for other services and I highly recommend this auto repair shop.
This shop is the worst place you can go if you need a real fix! He completely botched my exhaust. Poor welding job . I returned with confidence thinking they would help me out with the job and they assured me it was fine !! It was not . I then had to go somewhere else and pay 4x more to get the pipe changed and more . Poor work . Poor customer service and care. They did not offer a solution just attitude and frustration. DO NOT GO TO THEM
My husband came to this shop this morning trying to get an his car fixed being that we brought my BMW here before and had great service… BUT this time a certain guy came and asked what he’s doing there and also stated he wasn't a customer there, which sounded very racist being my husband is African American. I think this was very unprofessional and offensive to someone that spent money here before and has respect for all races and colors. Lost a great customer in the area.
This is the best place to go to if you need tire repair and suspension done, they fixed my tire last month which was about to blow. One of the big auto shops tried to charge me $2,000 to install struts assembly and other small parts, I bought the parts and had them installed for $300 for a total of $500 spent. While I support businesses, I don't support scammers. That's why I go to Raul's and I just moved here from the city. Now that's how you stay in business. Great customer service by Yancy, now that's what's up. ?
I actually visited this place months ago as a recommendation from my uncle, to fix my flat tire. Another place told me the tire couldn't be fixed, and I needed to purchase one for $170 since they didn't have another one in stock. I went to Raul's and with $20 they fixed the tire, and checked all tires. Not only they provided good service but it was also fast. Staff is very nice and knowledgeable. Strongly recommend them
This has been my first time using them, but I will likely be coming here again. The people who helped me were extremely friendly and easygoing. I got frequent calls to update me on the status of their work. The prices are incredibly reasonable compared to the other local shops and I am overall very content with the work and customer service I received.
The people here are definitely hard workers. I've never come here and they are standing around. The prices are also affordable for the work they do. I didn't give five stars because I will say the wait time can get very long depending on what you're getting done. I find that they stop working on your car if they get a quick tire job which can take up to 20mins. And they don't update you on how much time is left unless u keep asking.
Believe the bad reviews everybody. Zero stars. Manager or owner -don't know - is incredibly (incredibly!!!!!) rude and a liar. They do not stand behind their work. Accused ME of ruining a tire (i just bought it) so I could bring it back for a new one. (Uh, why would I want to waste time in a tire store? Like its fun?) This place shoud be shut down.
I traveled to New York recently to visit family. While I was there, my car broke down. I was really nervous because I have out of state tags and I've always heard that mechanics will "steal" your money if you are not from around. The staff at Raul's is amazing! Angel and Jennifer were great at providing me customer service and explaining to me the problems I have and the best way to fix them. I loved how they spoke English and Spanish fluently. I read a review that said none of them spoke English. Don't know where he went. My car was fixed with urgency and care. I looked up prices around the city, and they charged me a competitive rate that the other shops couldn't beat. I would do business with them again if I'm up there and have issues. Oh and while I waited for my car, there was no need to get a taxi. Their location is great because there are food places directly across the street ! Thanks Raul!
I took my truck into the shop to have it repaired,(heater core) When I got it back the air bags didn't work. So I took it back and told them, once again I left my truck. This time when I got it back, not only did the air bag not work! It made a dinging sound, the vent was broke, and the cup holder was busted. Once again I left it, they fixed the cup holder and the vent. The air bag once again didn't work and now the radio and windows don't work. So once again I took it back, this time the guy tells me he has to charge me again, to look at it. Of course I told him he was crazy, since his shop is the one that did all this stuff. He replied to bad... I took my truck home, after investigating the matter I found that they removed the fuse in order to make the dinging stop, my radio and windows now work however it still dings and the air bags don't work!!! This place is a joke, save your money and go somewhere else!!!
