Embarrassing business, would give 0 stars if I could. Needed a tow truck, they made me pay before they dispatched driver. Told me would be 30-60 min. Waited over 90 min without hearing anything, I call them and they tell me the tow truck broke down on the way. They said they can dispatch another driver if I pay $50 more. Absolutely ridiculous?!? I had already paid for the first tow, they didn’t show up so either I am supposed to be refunded or they cover the cost for another truck! That is not how you run a business. If I don’t receive a refund I’ll be filing a BBB complaint. Not to mention it took them 30 minutes from my first call to get my information and dispatch a truck. Avoid this business at all costs

I will give them two stars only because they came to my location that was only a four minute drive at four thirty in the morning but charge me 95 dollars cash to jump start my car. These people are rip offs. I was hoping I could find a place near were I live I could trust guess not.
They’re very nice and informative. Everything was digital so I was able to get updates on my car via text with pictures and full descriptions. I was also able to choose which service I wanted to get started on first and reschedule for the ones I wanted later. It was an absolute pleasure. They were pretty busy, but definitely was able to get my car looked at before they closed for the day! Definitely recommend this place 10/10!!

Beware!!! They almost trashed my car! I am a car enthusiast who went through BMW technician training. I DIY this car from A to Z in my own shop. I came on a tow truck with a dead starter motor 100 miles from home. The owner proudly told me that they were professionals and would do a repair to the specs. They charged double for labor and parts and unnecessary diagnostic. After several months the BMW E90 high-pressure fuel pump started to die, and I started a DIY to replace it. The disassembly is 90% like for the starter motor. Here is what I found. 1) The strut tower braces were installed wrongly, mixed up. 2) They lost a top engine wire cover. 3) Almost all wire harness holders, even the rubber ones, were broken. 4) The intake manifold was extremely overtightened. 5) They bolted the main (red) cable to the starter, severely damaging the insulation. The wire was exposed. And it could DESTROY all of the electronics or cause a FIRE. 6) I found a plastic clip holder IN THE INTAKE OF THE 6th CYLINDER. I am lucky that it was too big to enter the cylinder bore. Otherwise, my engine would be TRASHED. This part is from a different location of the engine. 7) They used old bolts for the starter motor, which were already loose. This is one time bolts that lock only once and must be replaced after each disassembly. 8) They overtightened the bolts on the air filter broking the threads. 9) They broke a plastic clip and destroyed a thread on the intake duct (this part cost $160).
I’ve taken my Range Rover here since I bought it new for oil changes, radiator repair, inspections, etc. They always take great care of me with friendly faces and reasonable prices. Can’t say enough great things about them.
I called and they were very accommodating with my schedule. I was very happy with their customer service, Shirley was very helpful and informative. I will be returning for additional regular maintenance.
I never write reviews but felt particularly compelled based on my experience this week at East Side Auto. My car wouldn't start and I got it towed there. They told me camshaft and crankshaft position sensors were not working. They quoted me costs of the sensors that were double the prices I found online. They quoted me labor times that were triple the times I found online. Total estimate was $1200 (which also included a $125 diagnostic fee even though they had promised not to bill me anything until they called me to say what was wrong with the car). I got the car towed to a new shop, who told me that the sensors were working fine and that the car needed new wiring due to rodent activity, which resulted in chewed up wires. Total cost - $200. Most importantly, the new shop said that the camshaft and crankshaft sensors were working totally fine. In addition to lying to me about what was wrong with the car and overcharging me for the fixes, they were also hard to reach and I had to make multiple calls to speak to someone despite them saying I'd get a call back. For these reasons, I recommend staying away from this business.
I asked a question to the lady on the phone , she just hung up with me when she couldn't help me middle of my sentence. I didn't like the customer service, won't go there
I stopped by East Side Auto today for the annual inspection on my car, and was greeted by their courteous/friendly staff. My car was inspected in less than 10 minutes and I was on my way. Best inspection experience in a very long time.
I came in with a rattling noise (brake bracket), returned 4 times in one week and still have the rattling noise. what I don't have is the 1300$ they took from me. oh and somehow magically I needed a part for a problem that I NEVER HAD WHEN I CAME IN. Oh! the last visit they said it's the bracket which was the problem to begin with. They were going to ask for MORE MONEY TO FIX THE PROBLEM I CAME IN WITH AFTER I ALREADY DROPPED 1300$. Two other mechanics (one who works for Ford, the manufacturer of my vehicle) recommend I go to court to recoup my money.

Result: Still terrible Brake
My car is now at Lexus being fixed. Who knows how much that's gonna cost?

I’ve been using East Side since they were originally located on 125th street. The staff is knowledgeable, prices are fair, and they do good work which they stand behind. They get the job done in a reasonable amount of time too!

Thats all i can say. I was stranded in NY with a broke down car and any auto place coulda taken advantage of that. These guy's gave me a quote over the phone and were right on with price and diagnoses before I even arrived. They were not sure of size of my gas tank so they ordered 2 different fuel pumps while I was getting towed.
Amazing once I arrived, even though they were very busy, they got me up on lift and started testing which they wanted me to watch......
Extremely fast replacement of the in tank pump and spot on with the price, not a dime over.
You guys are awesome and even kept me laughing while in Harlem, thank you!
