I’m so happy with my purchase from B&H Photo! I ordered the Canon G7X (which was a pre-order), and it arrived in less than a week, super fast! I went into B&H looking for a used Sony Cyber-shot camera something simple with a vintage look. I made it clear I didn’t need anything fancy, just an older camera that worked. The staff told me they had one left for about $60, which sounded perfect.
When they brought it out, though, the guy standing next to the one helping me looked at it and said, “They’re really selling that here?!” then looked right at me. I guess he didn’t get the vision.
After buying it, the cashier told me to head downstairs to ask the tech team what kind of charger it needed. When I got there, the person at the counter looked completely disinterested honestly like he didn’t want to be there. I asked about the charger, and he just said, “I have no idea,” before walking away.
Overall, I left feeling a little dismissed. I wasn’t expecting red carpet service, just some basic help and respect. Kind of disappointing, especially from a store known for its expertise.
This store used to be really great.
It was a great in person store with an online version with knowledgeable people when it came to video.
Now it's just devolved into this 2nd rate online store that's not really sure how to compete with amazon, they have a store credit card with terrible rates and inconvenient online payment system, and they just don't care. It's really sad to see. They will send you in loops in online chats, and show zero ownership, even if they've sold you something that never even worked. Really sad. They threw me away as a customer who had used them since I lived in NYC in like 2003, over a $200 hard drive that I never got to use.
EDIT: They have time to pick through messaging sessions, cherry pick and twist wording to argue. But apparently not the time to take care of long time 20+ year customers, negotiate better terms with vendors, raise awareness of terms of manufacturers so they don't send customers on a wild goose chase, or just generally run a business worthy of their old reputation, apparently.

My favorite hobby is capturing memories of family or friends. I have photographed Presidents and Indian chiefs. My new gear will help me document history. We don't have a variety of camera shops in ohio. I can shop fully on line in New York at B&H Photo. The service is great. They guarantee what they sell . From my film cannon to my digital cannons I have purchased over the years all at B&H. I trust them.With out good camera gear I am nothing. The prices are resonable. Even Used product history is very detailed. The sales reps are knowledgeable and kind. They are great spending time with a customer. My orders are mailed out and delivered at my home quickly. The variety of cameras and accessories is incredible. This place has been in business for many years and I understand why. It's a candy shop for photographers.
I absolutely loved the customer service! The person I spoke with was very kind and helpful — and they speak Spanish, which made everything even easier for me. The most important part is that I placed my order over the phone; I spent about 20 minutes talking to the representative and asked to be put on the waiting list for a camera that was temporarily out of stock. In less than three days, I received my camera! I trusted this person, and it was the best decision I made.

Good spot to pick up camera and computer accessories. Really wanted to check out the DJ and lighting section but it seemed like many of their DJ lights are not on display. Would definitely frequent this store if i lived in NYC. Again, so much to discover at this store with knowledgeable staff. Happy to see they also have an Omnia contract for govt purchasing.
As a long-time customer, I have to say that B&H Photo is truly the best and most reliable resource in the photography and video gear world.I recently purchased a camera and accessories from B&H and, as always, the customer service experience, respect for the buyer, and warranty support were absolutely superb. This store consistently stands by its commitments.Unfortunately, this week, B&H was closed and I realized I had forgotten to buy a battery charger. In my rush, I made a huge mistake.I went to another nearby store, 42nd Street Photo. The seller confidently handed me a charger, assuring me it was perfectly compatible with my battery. However, when I got home, the charger was completely incompatible and unusable.
When I asked for a refund, the seller refused to cooperate. Upon checking Google Maps reviews, I realized I was not alone. Within the past year, this specific store (42nd Street Photo) has been accused by over a hundred people of fraud, theft of customer property (cameras), deliberate damage to gear under the guise of repair, and illegal price gouging.
My Takeaway and Advice:I strongly advise everyone: Never rush when buying expensive equipment. Always take the time to buy from reputable and trusted retailers like B&H, even if it means waiting. Before buying from any new store, you must check user reviews on Google Maps to avoid falling victim to these types of scammers.Thank you, B&H Photo, for always being the trustworthy benchmark!

Really bad customer service. Returns are a hassle. I carrier option. So when your stuff arrives in poor condition you have to do these RMAs which take forever. You tend to shop when you need something and have a use. Working, getting paid and spending time and money so other people can rob you of joy is no longer cool in my book. So until you stop being cheap and give people the option of shooting UPS or USPS for free I'm out. Added I asked you to check with me 1st. No respect and a the sorry for the inconvenience. You can take your inconvenience and shove it you know where. Civil society is dead.
I was apprehensive about dealing with B&H but I called the Used Department and spoke with Daniel who was very capable and offered a quote for my Panasonic GH5M2 camera & accessories. I had spent approximately $1300 -and got $790 in store credit. I used that store credit to pay the difference to buy the Canon Powershot V1 which I got today (Friday, 9/26/25). I would do business with them again and I’m very satisfied with the outcome.

What I didn’t like is that though there is a lot of staff to help however their knowledge is at times limited by their online B&H search. It’s not necessary that the advisor at the location where you will be directed for your search may not be able to find your item even online, while you may yourself find it or someone at a different product location may advice you or find for you.
But overall it’s a Disneyland for Vloggers or eye candy for adults
I’m from New Jersey! Parking across the street, just need to purchase $100 + and time is limited. I’d recommend browsing the stores inventory online before heading there. Their inventory is massive and they have many items available for same day pickup but you need to check online store first. What they have stocked and out in public is limited, rest of their items are in the warehouse. For any tech savvy person this place is a wonderland.

What amazing people work at B&H! I needed support to register for reselling computer equipment, converting my personal account to a business account. The representative was so understanding, clear and responsive to my questions.
Then I placed an order with overnight shipment and soon realized I needed to add another item. They have an Add to Order feature. Even though it was too late to get the item into the overnight package, they sent the added item overnight for free. Amazing focus on the customer!
In addition, the pricing at B & H for computer and camera equipment is either lower or the same as competitors in most cases. I much prefer to buy from a company that truly is focused on us customers.
I find the process of selecting and ordering products clearer and faster that the biggest online seller. I like that the site keeps a history of items that I am interested in. I'd forgotten that I wanted to buy a camera filter but was waiting to place a larger order. So when I was placing my order, I happily added the filter and it is now protecting my camera lens.

I bought 4 tripods from them for some new ptz cameras that I was installing. In the craziness of the install the cleaners threw out some boxes. I tried returning 2 of the tripods, wrapped in bubble wrap inside some boxes. All nice and pretty like , with the original warranty cards n all, but they refused my return because the outside boxes were wrong?? With Amazon and most any other company, you dont even need a box to return the items. You can send it back wrapped toilet paper and they dont mind. B&H photo need to catch up. Im disappointed

During a recent trip to New York City, I stumbled upon B&H Photo and Electronics while walking back to our hotel after breakfast, and I couldn't be more thrilled! As a longtime fan of their online store, I was excited to explore their massive physical location. The scale of the store was astonishing; it truly felt like a playground for anyone interested in photography and electronics.
One of the coolest features was the overhead rail system that transports orders directly from the stockroom to the sales staff (check out one of the videos I made of the rail system). It was fascinating to watch in action!
My wife, who usually isn't as enthusiastic about these kinds of places, even found herself enjoying the visit, and our son couldn’t get enough of the driving video games set up throughout the store.
The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, making our surprise stop a delightful experience. Even though we hadn’t planned on such an impromptu visit, we ended up having a fantastic time exploring.
I highly recommend stopping by B&H Photo and Electronics if you’re in New York City—it’s an experience you won't want to miss!

We love this place but for us it was always an online experience but on a recent trip to NY we noticed we were only a block away so we had to go check it out.
just like the online this place is amazing! anything and everything wanted for photography and computers is here. we walked in and it was HUGE and they offered us a bottle of water. It was hot out. I know I offten say staff is amazing but this place takes it to another level and they are everywhere in the store. always willing to help and they know there stuff but at the same time not overwhelming. I took a photo of me pointing to the film sign and had a great exchange with a staff member who thought I was pointing at the bathroom sign.
of course I will continue to buy from them online and if in the area again will go back to the store.
Lots of kool tech and lots of staff to answer questions. They just ran an amazing free 2 day conference with seminars and product displays at the Javits center. 25K people showed up, I was one of them.

Have purchased multiple cameras from them over the years, originally over the phone and later online. Was really an experience to visit them in person. What an experience. Store is bustling with friendly staff, interesting displays and a lot of gear to try out.
I love this place! This was my first time visiting, and I was able to find everything I needed. I had searched all over for the video cable for my Canon Rebel R50 camera and ended up purchasing over $300 worth of cables on Amazon, none of which were compatible. I had to return all of them. However, when I came to B&H, I found exactly what I needed.
I was also looking for the Hiti 625L photo tray and was able to get one here as well. Additionally, I purchased ink and a 36" photo roll for my HP Designjet T630 at the best price. You can’t go wrong shopping at B&H! Their prices are cheaper than Walmart, Amazon, and any other third-party websites. I checked the prices of all the items I bought and saved a total of $93.26.
From now on, I won't have to wait for shipments or pay high fees. I can pick up items right there and then if they're available. They have it all!
I sold a camera here after checking about a dozen different places calling around and checking some pawn shops in person this was the most fair price, the sale was quick and easy taking less then ten minutes the only complaint I have is they only pay by check and it was a weekend so Wells Fargo wasn't open and the check cashing places gave me a hard time so I spent over a hour and 3 check cashing places before someone cashed it for me
A dangerous place if you like photo equipment or tech in general—you will want to buy everything! The staff are very helpful and friendly, and KNOWLEDGEABLE! I am a professional photographer with >$30k of gear and a decade of experience, and I was impressed with how much everyone knew about the latest tech. They also didn’t try to sell me anything and were very willing to let me hold cameras and try things out. This is a must-visit place just to look at things, but there are also some good deals on used and refurbished equipment, too!
Such a cool place! Incredible variety of literally anything electronic! All the workers there were also very helpful and knowledgeable and fast depending on what department you go to. My goal was just to pick up some film and I ended up learning a lot of interesting information about photo printing. I definitely reccomend visiting even if you're unsure what to get, you'll come out with new knowledge on something!

I've been purchasing from B & H Photo Video for many years yet have never left a review which I'm doing at the present. B & H is a very fine retailer providing outstanding service in accompaniment with the customer service. Their prices are compatible with all other retailers and sometimes are far better. The quality of merchandise is excellent. I've never had any issues with B & H over the years and their shipping rates are more than reasonable. * On my recent purchase for the Seahorse SE230, the quality is outstanding as there is ample room for a full size Beretta 92FS and ammo to boot. Some have stated there is not enough room for a full sized 9mm Beretta which is untrue as exhibited by the enclosed photo. In addition there is one padlock hole in the middle for a lock. There are two layers of foam padding on the bottom as the top layer can be cut to the dimensions of the item placed within.The 'plastic' locking mechanism is excellent. We would strongly recommend the Seahorse SE230 without any doubt, none.
