It's my wife's go-to. And I think it's cool too. There is a vast variety of creative ways to bring life to your space while working on becoming your best version of an organizing guru. The staff is full of life and smiles and is willing to help at every call. The customers are provided with a calm atmosphere with good lighting and background music. Most importantly, the place stays busy, which can be perceived as evidentce of a good reputation for great services. And it's well deserved.
I cannot recommend this store enough. The staff is extremely friendly and professional. I had my new apartments closets planned with them.
This has been one of the best shopping experiences I ever had. I worked with Paulette. She went above and beyond, she was extremely knowledgeable, fast and professional. She planned with my needs and my budget in mind. I am so happy with my new closets.

No more public restrooms, which may not be a big deal to some, but it was convenient when we see more stores being ableist and not having them. This place qas always clean and moms could change their kid's diapers.
The products are overpriced too. Probably due to the tariffs. Can get same online for way less.
I went into the Container Store for the first time, and I felt like a little child in a candy store. I wanted to buy everything. I didn't want to spend anything without my husband being present because I wanted his take on how we were going to store his little gadgets and other things. I was just looking around when Dave greeted me and welcomed me, he also told me about the advantages of becoming an insider. I couldn't resist, so without needing to purchase anything, he signed me up. I just received the welcome email, and it reminded me to leave a review of how pleasant the 6th Ave location is. I will bring my husband back because I have a few ideas, but I want his input on it before buying. Thanks again, Dave!

I had an amazing experience at The Container Store on Sixth Avenue, thanks to Alessandro, the general manager. I had accepted a large Instacart order from this location, and to make things even more challenging, I had my four-year-old son with me. I’ve shopped here before, but I knew this order was going to be overwhelming.
Despite the store being quite busy, with all the attendants assisting other customers — including Alessandro himself who had been checking someone out — he immediately stepped in to help me as soon as he was available. I was blown away by his willingness to go above and beyond.
Alessandro took the time to walk through the entire order with me, efficiently finding every item I needed while still managing his team and the store’s busyness. What could have easily taken me over two hours was completed in about 25 minutes thanks to his incredible support.
I can’t express my gratitude enough for Alessandro’s exceptional customer service. His dedication, patience, and efficiency truly made my day easier, and I left feeling incredibly thankful. Alessandro is a true asset to this store, and I’ll absolutely be returning to shop here again soon.

Elfa closets are easy to install, flexible in configuration, and easy to remove. They are functional and also maximize space utilization. They often have 30% off sales on their systems.
This is my 2nd time using the container store and Katherine was amazing. I have one more closet to do and guess who I'll be using?

Wow. Excellent service. Well kept store. I love this store. Everyone was super friendly and courteous. The store was so clean and organized, I felt like I was in another world. It was great.
It's great to have a store like this, I just wish the prices were more reasonable. When I compare their products to comprable ones at other stores, I always wonder why the Container Store products are so expensive. That being said, I have picked up some nice things here every so often. I particularly like their plastic hangers - they come in all sorts of fun colors, are well-made and durable, and very reasonably priced. I also find the store good for laundry supplies. However for some items like plastic boxes and totes, I would wait for a sale. They're just too costly for what you actually get.
Everything for you home. Even things you never thought about. I love this location the store is big and week organized.
The area is good a lot of good stores around good food and near the subway.
You have also delivery so it super comfortable of you buy a lot of stuff.
This review is for delivery from the store. Purchased $400+ worth of items. For an extra delivery fee (which would’ve been free had i ordered online), I’m disappointed the delivery person didn’t bother text/call or deliver to my door. I explicitly checked with the store clerk multiple times and they let me know the delivery person would text upon arrival and bring items to my apt door. I was home all day and no one attempted to deliver items to my apt and I also didn’t get a text. I ended up having to lug all boxes myself.
I’m a frail person and there’s a reason why I paid for the door to door service but there was no value in the additional fees I paid.
This place always seems to have just that one thing you needed for the house. That little shelf or container that's just the right size. I've gotten 2 sets of elfa systems here and both work great. They also have a nice selection of travel things as well.
I love this monitor stand. I used it as a printer stand instead. The drawer is big enough to hold my pens and other supplies. My laptop fits neatly underneath the drawer. Everything looks clean and organized.
My sister and I went to this store on last saturday and that there were people in the store because there were sales for july 4th weekend and that the people there were looking at things or buying things and that my sister and I bought a dish from the store.
I love how The Container Store has products that you don't even realize you need, and in every aisle, you want just about everything...
This store is also very well organized.
The only negatives are that quite a few items seem over priced, the sales aren't great, and there was no one on the floor to ask for help about anything. It could have just been the time of day, but there were hardly any customers either, so it felt a little strange going through a deserted store.
The store itself deserves 4 stars, yet being that I circled the entire store twice looking for someone to ask a question about an item, and couldn't find someone, I had to minus a star.
I would go back if I can't find that organizational item I need, but I most likely will find it elsewhere, and it will be less expensive.
The Container Store helped us revamp our old closets with their Elfa system. We re-did 3 reach in closets that each used to have 2 shelves and and a rod and transformed it into a much more functional system.
Christian C helped us design an amazing layout. Dimas was a consummate professional when he was installing the system, offering guidance on how to optimize and best lay things out based on his years of experience. When we needed to go back and add more pieces, Danielle helped us tremendously by finding the right parts and making sure we had the best discount applied. Lastly, Alessandro was so helpful in getting us checked out and packed properly so we could take everything home in the pouring rain.
Love the Container Store, especially the team at this location. Can't recommend working with them enough.
I love this store. They have so many organizational solutions. You name it, they have it. The container store has helped me organize my spaces and customer service is great. I had to return an item and they took it no questions asked. If you’re looking for a high quality organizer, this is the place to go. You can also check store availability on the website if you want to look at online items in-store.
I've been a customer of TCS since I was a high school senior, so I'm a little biased. Of course, they've always had what I needed so I can't deny them that fact.
This past trip I was shopping for The Jet Bag. The hostess attempted to help me, but it was clear she didn't know the product. I was able to find a young man to assist me and he tried every avenue to find the item. Unfortunately, the counts were off. Ugh.
Overall, I tend to find what I need and the folks do know their stuff.
I recently used The Container Store's online design service (Paulette) as well as their installation services (Walter) and I'm extremely happy with the results! Paulette was super helpful and accomodating and Walter was quick and eficient in his installation. I'd highly recommend both their closet design sevices and installation team to anyone looking.
While the manager of the closet section was very helpful, the other employees were straight up clueless and rude. We had made an online order, paid for shipping, and when they got delivered, we realized we were sent the wrong shelf brackets, which were incompatible with our shelves. They weren’t the brackets on our order or receipt. We called, and were told to come in and exchange the brackets. I asked specifically whether they had them in stock, and was told “yes we have more than 100 of them”.
When we dragged a ton of the wrong brackets down there, the manager at the closet section told us the employee on the phone gave us the wrong information, and they only had 9 brackets available. He gave us the 9, and an order to get the remaining ones shipped to us, and sent us to returns and exchanges to process it.
As soon as we showed up, the woman working the register there refused to do anything, saying, “I can’t help you, I can’t process a return for an item that’s not on your receipt”. We had to call the manager over there to explain to her, and eventually she started processing them. It was processed as a “refund” for the brackets, and then a new order for the ones we were getting shipped. However, we luckily checked the receipt for the refund, and saw the amount we were credited back was LESS than the amount they were now charging us (there was a discount for the original refunded order, while we were being charged full price during the exchange).
We said this made no sense, and the employee started acting very agitated, acting like she was already doing us a huge favor by waiving the shipping fee. The shipping fee for items we *already* paid shipping for and never received. We tried explaining that we shouldn’t be charged extra for items we were supposed to get in the first place, after already being inconvenienced by having to come in and exchange them. She literally just walked off, saying “I’m not dealing with this”.
The closet manager then came over to the register and processed the exchange himself, at the proper price, and was nice enough to take 10% off for all the trouble. But even so, it was a huge hassle and massive waste of time, and we now still have to wait for the rest of the proper brackets to finally ship to us.
It used to be decent not so much anymore. They hire anybody these days to do these jobs. It shows. The store is sloppy nasty unorganized and the employees are about the same. I avoid this place altogether.
Paulette is simply the best. She has it all— the smile, the patience, the expertise, the humor. She makes your space challenge her problem to solve. And she truly loves her job. By the time I connected with Paulette, I was exhausted with trying to DIY my laundry room shelving. She just made everything simple and understood all of my logic for why certain things would or wouldn’t work for my life. Within two days, I had ordered a new laundry area AND a pantry system, too. On my own, I assure you this would have taken months to figure out. I highly recommend using a Container Store’s design consultant to make your life easier and consider yourself lucky if you get Paulette!!
Love the products. AMANDA was awesome today and totally should get a raise. Additionally some of their inflation pricing is just INSANE. Genuinely thought some were typos. $40 for chalk markers for writing on labels?!!?

I highly recommend him.
I had a great experience shopping here yesterday. John gave me 10/10 service and took the time to wrap up my Elfa storage box, gave me tips on how to build, attach a handle so it was easier for me to carry, and walked it out to my Uber. Will definitely be coming back here again to shop!
