The crew got me in and out quickly. They are efficient, friendly and I will definitely return to this location for service, instead of going to the Chevy dealership.

Horrible people working here. They just want to get the money from you and that is it. Came to change 4 tires, they sold me the tires, installed two of them and after I paid they said they can’t install the other two wheels because of a lock on it… They told me that they will take it somewhere to get them removed for the inconvenience but the next day they said that they don’t do that anymore. Avoid this place.
THE WORST!!!! This place is horrible beyond words. The front desk attendant was SO rude to two pregnant women (myself being one) and gave me the wrong information about when my car will be ready. NEVER GOING BACK. DO NOT GO!

Worst Pep Boys in Queens!!! Tell you a price on the phone and when you get there it changes. The Assistant Manager needs training in de-escalation. He gets flustered easily - no matter the team is like that - poor management! Get it together bro - you are offering a service. Dana left without informing her customer she is clocking out - who does that!!! Poor customer service! My first and last visit! I would suggest driving a few more miles for better service.
techs straight up lost my car keys during a regular oil change. told me my next oil change would be on the house -- when i came by three months later for it, they said absolutely not and charged me for it.
unprofessional. techs need to learn basic protocol and keep the keys with the charts for each car. management needs to learn better customer service for when their techs mess up. mistakes happen -- but make it right.

Great staff, great quality service and parts but price is high for labor. You have to get a really great deal to get a comparable price to shops around this one. Tires are great but brakes and labor is very very expensive for the price. $730 for brakes after a discount of $150. That’s way too high for this service.
I paid $1700 for a problem that three weeks later is still happening. I have been to the location 4 times only to be told a different story each time. I originally went to Pep Boys on Friday November 7. I explained the problem and that perhaps it was the battery. Rather than offering to do a diagnostic check the mechanic changed the battery. Did not solve the problem. Then and only then did the customer representative suggest a diagnostic which I was charged for. Then I was told the problem is the fuel pump. 4 hours later they told me the problem was solved and charged me approximately $1700. The next morning when I went to start my car the same exact problem occurred. I went back to Pep Boys on Monday Nov 10. I left my car for the day starting at 9AM. When I returned at 2PM I was told by a mechanic the problem was a a faulty fuel pump relay that was on recall. I was told to go to the dealership. I went to the dealership and was told there was no recall. The next day was Veterans Day so I waited until Wed Nov 12 to go back to Pep Boys. I arrived at 9AM. The mechanic told me to give him my email and he would email me the recall information that I would then take to the dealership. Wednesday passed. No email. Thursday passed. No email. I called Pep Boys on Friday Nov 14th at 9am and was told that mechanic comes in at 10am. I called back at 11am and was told the mechanic was not coming in but the customer representative on the phone said she would email me the recall information. By midday Friday Nov 14 I went back to Pep Boys b/c no one emailed or called me. When I arrived I spoke with the same customer rep. I asked why she didn't email me the information. She said it was the wrong information. I asked why she didn't call me. She didn't have a reason. She said she was going to have a specialist conduct a special diagnostic on my car on Monday. She said she couldn't give me a set time because there is only one specialist and he bounces around from location to location. He may even say he was coming and not show up. I stated I can be here within 15 minutes if you call me on Monday when he is about to arrive. She said she would call me. Today is Tuesday Nov 18th not a single call. Ridiculous.
This is one of the worst Pep Boys in the entire United States to do Inspection, they made me wait more than 3 hours to do just an inspection and this is what they do, they’ll force customers to buy in to their complimentary services and fail them if they dont pass the pep boys complimentary services. Making the customer pay $37 for failing pep boys complimentary services rather than actually failing NY state inspection. Man named Alfred at the front desk sounded like he doesn’t care about any of the customers issues and you’ve mechanics in the back on their phones watching TikTok making the customers wait for hours and hours
I made a 5:30 appointment for 4 new tires and an oil change. They called and were able to get me in earlier so I went in, dropped the car and picked it up ~2 hours later. The lot was really full, but there was no one inside so it wasn't too bad to drop off.
I had an appointment for NYS inspection at 2:30 and got the car before 3:30. They didn't try to get me to do any other services. Small waiting area but not uncomfortable. And a very full parking lot, but the people were polite. I can't comment on their repair or maintenance services but I would go back
I placed an appointment for 12pm for an oil change, arrived 15 minutes early but they finally got to my car after 2:45pm. I sat there waiting for about 3 hours while the workers just stood there and talked among themselves. I don't get the purpose of having an appointment if they're not going to respect it. I would've understood if they were busy, but they were not. I will never go back to this place even for the good price. Please avoid wasting your time here.

I was told by Pepboys I needed $1500 worth of shocks, struts, and tires (car is only worth $6,000) . Took it to 2 other shops, neither recommended the same repairs. Paid $300 for 2 new tires only and my car runs fine.
I had a great experience at this Pep Boys location today. The service advisor was very helpful. I believe his name was Teddy. The mechanic Vinesh was very thorough and professional. Glad I had my tires, breaks, and state inspection done here. Awesome team!
I am sharing my experience in the hope it helps others who may be considering having work done at this Pep Boys location. I initially brought my vehicle here because it was the closest mechanic available after experiencing starting issues. Unfortunately, this decision proved to be a significant regret.
I received a phone quote of $1,500 to replace the shift selector cable and the neutral safety switch. However, when I received the printed service report, the total was listed as $1,374. In addition, I paid $119.74 for an tow/electrical inspection, which was charged separately.
When I later decided to take my vehicle to another mechanic, I opened the hood and noticed that the air filter housing and all its screws had been left out. While the shop did reinstall these parts when I brought it to their attention, this should not have been overlooked in the first place.
For comparison, Spirit Service Center — located nearby — performed the same repair for $430.
Based on my experience and after reviewing similar feedback from other customers, I would advise anyone experiencing car issues to consider alternative repair shops.
Always courteous and respectful. Yes they are very busy but that’s expected. I have been going to this store for a number of years and I have never had a problem. Mostly service work, tires , inspection, brakes etc I receive all updates via text and call me when the car is ready. They never try to push any work on me that’s not necessary. Highly recommend.
I was in a tough spot and this Pep Boys really came through. They got me the tire I needed quickly and installed it without any hassle. Compared to other car service shops in the area that gave me questionable advice or tried to upsell me, this place was the complete opposite. The staff was honest, efficient, and made sure I was taken care of. I really appreciated their straightforward approach and fast service. I’d definitely come back here again.
Extremely disappointed with Pep Boys! What was supposed to be a quick repair took 5 days, far exceeding the initially agreed-upon costs. The car was returned dirty, with broken parts and the same unresolved issue. Despite repeated calls for updates, communication was poor. To make matters worse, after the engine light popped up again on my way home—less than 5 miles away—I had to return the car. They then claimed a new issue had arisen, necessitating additional repairs and further increasing the final bill. To top it all off, the staff falsely accused me of causing damage when I checked their work. Absolutely unacceptable service; I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
It was super convenient to buy and set up an appointment to install my new tires online. You can also come in and schedule. Raj called me a day earlier than my appointment to ask if I wanted to get my tires installed.
I came in and got my car back; the time it will take to get installed.
The team is super professional and punctual, and I highly recommend them to anyone who needs their tires installed.
