Very attentive and kind technical and sales staff trying to help me with a diagnostic noise issue. Was in and out pretty quickly. They couldnt find the issue but said I needed a $2k rear barring replacement. They said it was a safety issue and not to wait too long. I had sticker shock and was perplexed. Decided to go to my usual mechanic to have it looked at. He said they were fine and didn't need replacing. I guess rear barrings are the new brake pads....

Total rip-off. I had four spark plugs replaced, each costing $34.38 (total $137.52). Despite this being a simple job, I was charged $945 for labor alone. This pricing is outrageous and not transparent. I would not recommend this shop. Guys, I’ve been driving my Subaru for more than 10 years, and it’s been very reliable with no major issues. If your car starts knocking or jerking, it usually just means the spark plugs need to be changed. That’s it. You can buy the parts directly from Subaru parts, and it won’t cost much. Take the car to a regular mechanic shop — they can replace the spark plugs very cheaply. Don’t overpay for something so simple.

I don’t recommend this place. It is second time they failed completely in my opinion. Today I showed up with my car for a scheduled service appointment . Because I don’t live by I have scheduled that appointment a week in advance. After I dropped the car I had been told that because all senior technician are busy and it will take a moment before someone will look at my car. I was told to wait and someone will call me when the car will be diagnosed and that it should be in about 4 hours. And guess what, they called me after 4 hours to say that nobody even looked at my car so if I am willing to leave the car one more day they will definitely do it tomorrow . I said, no - thank you, I will come in ten minutes to pick up the car. I said I will come in ten minutes because I was hanging around for 4 hours and I was not far away from there. This was today. A year ago I had another bed experience with them. I brought the car and asked them to check if anything should be done , they said- no - everything is fine, only to find couple days later that my inspection is about to expire and that I have to do my front brakes in order to pass that inspection. So that was the first time and today was second, what you all think about that, do they deserve a third chance ? I don’t think so. The person who was representing Koeppel Subaru and was not helpful at all was a Julian - service advisor

I bought my 2010 Subaru at this dealership and their service department has kept it on the road in perfect condition. They are reliable and trustworthy! Their location is 57th Street and Northern Boulevard.

Oil Change was done fine but mechanic forgot to put my engine cover back on. Spoke to an employee about my missing engine cover. Employee told me that my car doesn’t have an engine cover and that they cant do much on that situation. Very unprofessional and lack on accountability.

It's been a year since we bought our first vehicle and has done 2 maintenance but so far the experience was just top tier. If I could recommend anyone to talk to for maintenance, talk to Chris. Cool guy, knows what's what, and very down-to-Earth.

This review is for the service department as I already reviewed the salesman and team (5stars as well) I recently went for our first oil change, and tire rotation my service advisor was Tanika, she did amazing getting me in and out quickly and even scheduled my next appointment. Highly recommend this service team huge shoutout to Tanika!!! Subaru never disappoints!!!

Quick service, was in and out for an oil change within an hour. George and Joey have excellent communication and are eager to help! They are assets to Koeppel Subaru and will return for future service for my Forester.

The manager of this place is horrible he's rude and doesn't know how to talk to customers. They will make up stuffs to make you change the parts there. Especial you are female don't get ripped off!!!!years ago he told me one of my fog light was out I needed to change it in order to pass my inspection. I know fog light is not a vehicle requirement and I told him he still refused to pass my inspection unless I change the light bulb. that's why I switched service center to star Subaru.

I had an incredible experience with Jeremy. He is a super nice and knowledgable Subaru rep who made me feel comfortable through the whole process. He treated my wife and I as equal partners in the car buying decision. Even though we decided not to purchase a car through the dealership (yet), he’s been nothing but cordial and helpful.

I was traveling and had a significant battery and fuse issue. After being towed to Koeppel, the floor manager George made sure I got on the lift that day and prioritized getting me back on the road. He even helped me save hundreds of dollars with thoughtful and clever solutions. He is an excellent mechanic and a credit to the business. Niko did all the work in the vehicle and was fast, clean professional and smiley. If I ever need work while in the city I know where to go!

The employees who work there were very responsible and offer excellent quality service. I went with my Crosstrek Premium car and was attended by Chris, an excellent person and his advice about the car helps a lot. Thank you for having efficient and responsible staff.

Had a 1:00 pm appointment and arrived a little bit early. They got me in right away. Originally, I was told it was going to be about one hour, but they were done in about 25 minutes. Staff was friendly and efficient. It was quick and painless. I would recommend and will return.

It was good. Chris greeted me for the appointment. He was very up front about the car service (car oil change) and the wait time. I was fine with waiting at the dealer. They had coffee and snacks. I used wifi to get some work done. Things went well.

Amazing service, clean waiting room with free drinks. All the employees were so amazingly friendly. Miguel helped me setup the appt and couldn’t be nicer when I arrived. The item (side mirrors) were at a great price and installation was professional and quick. I can not recommend this place enough, I will only use Koeppel going forward for all my Forester needs and give them a 100% endorsement as a great business with even greater staff. Updated : 3 years later went back for more work to be done on my car and again, amazing service....quick, friendly, clean atmosphere and they work with you. Can't suggest going here for your Subaru needs enough.

Unfortunately, this place is a scam, be careful! Context: I was in a full masters program, running a business, and barely had time to eat/sleep properly or see doctors for my own personal health. I had to leave school early just to drop off my car in the last 15 minutes before they closed. Granted Milena, who helped me was extremely kind and helpful, I was genuinely ripped off. I brought my car in because the rear was making a screeching noise and I agreed to the repairs as long as the screeching noise was fixed, which was $2K. After I got the car back I found out they did a ton of repairs that weren't needed and the noise was still there. I couldn't come back for months because of my schedule and when I tried to bring the car back to get the intial issue fixed, they said I needed a ton of other repairs as well. I'm a full time student and that' $2000 is half my trimester in tuition. It's on me for not taking time to fully go over everything but I was past burnout and it's my first time owning a car. I had so much hope that they'd be honest and not try and take advantage of my situation. I tried to get my money back or file something to complain with Subaru but I couldn't do anything until I finally had time/spaciousness almost a year later to take care of the issue and by then it was too late. I genuinely wish that there were more authentically honest people in the world...

George, the service manager, and his team were absolutely wonderful. He went out of his way to help us and they were able to replace our car battery in no time. George also gave very helpful tips on car maintenance and preserving the longevity of the vehicle, especially when driving in the city. We are overwhelmed by his kindness, empathy, and his willingness to help us when we were in a bind.

I was so freaked out because one evening while I was driving, my center screen started flickering. It was right before a major road trip, and I was thinking "this is going to cost me thousands" or "I am going to be in hell for my 18 hour drive." The service team saved me, and did so in an incredibly quick and inexpensive manner! They ran the whole car through a diagnostic, changed my (bad) battery, and made sure the car was otherwise up to the task of driving from NYC to Florida. It was an overall excellent experience, and I'd recommend the team so highly; the service team (especially Milena!) was incredibly communicative, incredibly fast, and incredibly SKILLED. Thank you ALL so much.

Terrible! They did some service on my car. Afterward, the car started to jerk during acceleration and the dashboard lights went off. I called them to see whether they could look at it. They won't give me an appointment for another two weeks. Told me that they were very busy. If I couldn't wait, I could go somewhere else. I finally took my car in. The guy in the office was upset and immediately started yelling at me. Telling me that they had nothing to do with the car's problem. I tried to calm him down. Told him that there was no reason to be upset. If they could fix the problem, it was not a big deal. Took them a couple of days to "fix" my car. Charged me another couple hundred dollars for fixing the problem. Guess what! The car still has the same problem. This is so frustrating. They have many good reviews on Google. I thought they were nice people. I have to share my experience because their service is not always good. In fact, it was a terrible experience for me. If people have other repair shop recommendations, please let me know. I would highly appreciate it. I added a photo of the lights on the dashboard. I picked up the car on 12/8. The jerking problem started again after 30 minutes picking up the car. The lights were on again this morning (12/9). PS. I emailed the owner per his request. I am still waiting for his reply.

Went in for a state inspection. The service advisor told me my rear brakes were low and that it was dangerous to drive. I said ill have to come back, Im pressed for time. Words were exchanged with his boss and they did my inspection. On my own spare time I removed my rear brake pads and asked multiple people to see what I was seeing. My brakes pads were barely worn. I don't want to go back if they are going to lie to make $400.

This is my go to Subaru Service center for my 2018 WRX. Although I purchased my WRX in Staten Island, this service center stands above all the others that I've experienced, in terms of quality of service, personable advisors, and most importantly, honesty. The service advisors themselves are car enthusiasts, which you would think should/would be commonplace in the industry - but it is not. They recognize the value and culture behind cars - and act accordingly. I have gone to Miguel, Michael, Teresa, and Erika - all have been A1 experiences. The service manager, George is also top-notch, giving great advice on what mods will and won't void warranty. The service techs are also incredible at what they do - most of them also have their own subarus that they customize to their taste - a good sign for someone like me, who cares a lot about my car. They are knowledgeable, and treat your car like their own. The service is always honest and punctual here, I never felt overcharged or shortchanged both monetarily and time wise. I always come here for oil changes, but the advisors, techs, and even the service manager, make sure that anything and everything is in shape and running optimally. My most recent interaction with Koeppel service solidified my A+ rating; I shredded the rear differential in my WRX shortly after I finished a custom wrap on the car. I explained the situation to George and Miguel - to which they assured me the car would be fixed and ready for show season, as soon as possible. I dropped my car off at 8AM on Monday, March 16th. I was expecting at least a 3 day turn around. At around 9:30AM Tuesday, March 17th, I got a call that the car was done. The team at Koeppel diagnosed the issue, ordered a whole new rear differential, and rebuilt it within 24 hours. I was astounded, impressed, and incredibly grateful. On top of this, my wrap was kept in pristine condition, with not so much as a scratch on the new vinyl - something a lot of service centers may overlook. This is a lengthy review, but I want to give credit where credit is due. Koeppel Subaru Service has my trust and loyalty - something not easily earned when it comes to my car.

Been coming here since, I got my car from the dealership in 2015 . The guys at service are friendly and very helpful. I mostly deal with Miguel he and the manager are very helpful with my concerns. The wait time here about 30 minutes to and hour. The have fresh coffee. This place is pet friendly. Update 2-7-2020. Came in for a concern and a recall. My service adviser Mr Pena, checked the system and saw that I had 3 open recalls available for my 16xt. Within few minutes he had me setup with a brand new loaner Forester 2020 premium. He has told me that my car should be available by the end of the day. By 5 I came and picked up my car. He has his staff members are great.

George the service manager is a very good guy easy to talk to polite and hands on with any issues my car had he would take care of it. The service staff as well are polite and welcoming. The only reason why i did not give 5 stars its because of the higher ups in SOA, I was extremely disappointed with with my last RECALL done on my car (SPRINGS) i had a perfectly working car before bringing it in for RECALL! the subaru recall springs damaged both of my rear shocks and i was frustrated and angry to the maximum, because i brought my car in for safety and for better recall parts replacement. I never expected that i would be coming and going 5 times for the same issue to service the same issue. Every time i brought my car back Tana and the staff where quick and helpful getting me a loaner car within minutes i really appreciated that because i work during the day and i could not waste my time to sit and wait for my car being repaired. after 3rd or 4th time in the dealer service George and Melania opened a case with SOA in regards to this RECALL part issue i was very pleased that they took their time to open up a case in regards to my car recall issue. The big disappointment was when i received a call from SOA service care specialist asking me if the service technicians or manager did their job properly! I responded back by telling them that your recall parts damaged my perfectly original working parts in my car after install and because of that i had to waste my time and everyone's time going in and out of the dealer shop. Since i still have those recall springs in my car i asked SOA specialist if the same issue happens again what are you prepared to do! His answer was nothing sir take your car back and will keep replacing the parts! I Lost it! i had a perfectly working car without worries, now i have to think and keep thinking when will this issue come back again while i drive my car! Big DISAPPOINTMENT ON SUBARU OF AMERICA specialist care After all SUBARU stands for safety care and love! i am loosing faith on this BRAND!

They tried to rip me off! I brought my car in to address recalls and was told to leave the car with them. They called me a couple of hours later saying that my rear brakes were gone and they can replace them for $460. The only reason why I hesitated (other than the price) was because I had them changed not too long ago and a lot more recently than the front brakes. And it's a common knowledge that the front brakes wear out much faster than the rear. So I told them to not do it and I brought the car today to a local repair shop for a noise in the back. Turns out the hub bearing was making a knocking noise that needed to be replaced, which the Subaru service dept didn't even notice. The local mechanic confirmed that the brakes were totally fine and still had about half of the pads left that should last for a while. I asked them if they were sure so they even let me see them since they had them off to replace a hub bearing. The picture is attached. The mechanic said that the pads looks like they still have about 60% of their life left in them and should last for thousands of miles. Now I'm hesitant of using Koeppel service department and definitely wouldn't be able to trust them.
