My experience with Riverside Towing & Recovery was extremely negative.
After my vehicle was towed from a private parking lot, I spent nearly five hours trying to recover it. I began contacting the company around 7:00 a.m. and was unable to retrieve my vehicle until nearly noon. During that time, I made multiple phone calls and was repeatedly given different times to return. First I was told one time, then another, and later a different time again, causing me to lose most of my morning and part of the day.
The customer service was extremely poor and unprofessional. During one phone call, a friend who was trying to help me obtain information was told by an employee that they were "not going to answer stupid questions from stupid people." I found this comment disrespectful and completely inappropriate for a business that serves the public.
When I finally arrived to recover my vehicle, I was met with a hostile attitude and unprofessional treatment. As I was leaving the property, an employee even made an obscene hand gesture toward me.
I was charged $350 to recover my vehicle. While I paid the required fees, my main concern is the lack of professionalism, the excessive delays, the contradictory information provided over the phone, and the disrespectful treatment I received throughout the process.
I urge the city and any agencies responsible for overseeing private towing companies to carefully review customer complaints regarding this company and determine whether it continues to meet the standards expected of a business providing services to the public.
Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this company.
Mi experiencia con Riverside Towing & Recovery fue extremadamente negativa.
Después de que mi vehículo fue remolcado de un estacionamiento privado, pasé casi cinco horas intentando recuperarlo. Comencé a comunicarme con la empresa alrededor de las 7:00 de la mañana y no pude recuperar mi vehículo hasta cerca de las 12:00 del mediodía. Realicé múltiples llamadas telefónicas durante ese tiempo y en repetidas ocasiones me dieron horarios diferentes para presentarme. Primero me indicaron una hora, luego otra y posteriormente una distinta, lo que me hizo perder prácticamente toda la mañana y parte del día.
El servicio al cliente fue extremadamente deficiente y poco profesional. Durante una llamada telefónica, una amiga que intentaba ayudarme a obtener información fue atendida por una empleada que le dijo que "no iba a responder preguntas estúpidas de personas estúpidas". Considero que ese comentario fue irrespetuoso y completamente inapropiado para una empresa que presta servicios al público.
Cuando finalmente llegué para recuperar mi vehículo, fui recibido con una actitud hostil y un trato poco profesional. Al retirarme de las instalaciones, una empleada incluso realizó un gesto obsceno hacia mí.
Se me cobraron $350 para recuperar mi vehículo. Aunque pagué los cargos requeridos, mi principal preocupación es la falta de profesionalismo, las demoras excesivas, la información contradictoria proporcionada por teléfono y el trato irrespetuoso que recibí durante todo el proceso.
Solicito que la ciudad y las agencias responsables de supervisar las compañías privadas de remolque revisen cuidadosamente las quejas presentadas por los clientes contra esta empresa y determinen si continúa cumpliendo con los estándares que se esperan de una compañía que presta servicios al público.
Basándome en mi experiencia personal, no puedo recomendar esta empresa.
Since Saturday at dawn we called and they never answered, Monday when they answered they had us waiting for 6 hours, then the lady who attended us treated us very badly and even gestures with rudeness, only cash I don’t understand?? The truth is that they do their job very badly and with zero professionalism. They should close this place They are not trained to do this job
Desde el sábado al amanecer llamamos y nunca contestaron, el lunes cuando respondieron nos tuvieron esperando durante 6 horas, luego la señora que nos atendió nos trató muy mal e incluso hizo gestos con rudeza, ¿solo dinero en efectivo que no entiendo? La verdad es que hacen su trabajo muy mal y sin profesionalismo. Deberían cerrar este lugar no están capacitados para hacer este trabajo
Angry fella in a riverside tow truck blew his horn and flipped me off on the Blvd. I’ve been driving truck for 20 years but I’m sure he knows traffic laws better than me. Thank you for respectfully letting me know I did something wrong back there chief.
These people come across as extremely desperate for cash. They seek out any car to tow. Wait, hiding, to tow any violator. Hold your car hostage and demand payment only in cash. When you can't meet their unreasonable demands, they increase the price again, only accepting cash. No venmo, no credit card, no check. I wonder how the iIRS feels about this?
They towed my husband’s car while he was walking to get in. They refused to let him get in unless he paid $250 cash upfront. When he received the call the next morning to pick up the car and pay, they had stolen $20 from my mother’s bag, which was in the car.
While my boyfriend was in an ambulance on the way to the hospital, riverside towing driver told me he could not let me go anywhere until he was paid to drop the car off at his house! I was expected to pay him $240, despite the wrecked car not being mine, or I could not leave to go check on my injured partner. Gotta love Baton Rouge! Forgot to add that, in dropping the car off at his house, he damaged it even further in the rear!
I came to my scheduled appointment a little late, but I let her know ahead of time that I wasn’t going to be on time when I got there she kept nagging at me saying how late I was and basically just picking at me until I spazzed I called the cops . She also called the cops on me as well cause I wasn’t getting out the car when she kept telling me too. she kept telling me to lock MY car after stating it wasn’t my car. definitely will be avoiding getting towed from this place. They need to get shut down immediately. Very unprofessional and rude and that lady need to retire !
Was going the speed limit. Got flipped the bird. My partner called office lady was so EXTREMELY RUDE said I shouldn’t be driving and talking. I want my passenger called never in my life been treated like that. -1 star review
Shady business goes on here do not let them tow anything not even a toy car . Very unprofessional and clueless to the work. Damaged vehicle should have read the reviews 0/5 for this place beware !!!!
EXTREMELY unprofessional, VERY rude, and take advantage of people. The worst i’ve ever seen in this business. Despicable. Terrible, heartless people who will get their karma.
