I scheduled an appointment at this bank with Ariel Rivera to open a new checking account for my mother. She arrived with all her documents in order, including proof of address. However, her proof of address was not accepted because her second last name was supposedly not fully listed.
Anyone knows that on utility bills or proof of address documents from companies like Optimum, PSE&G, or Viola, there is often limited space and the second last name is not always fully shown. For that reason, only the first last name usually appears, which is standard practice and accepted by those companies. Despite this, the document was rejected even though her name and first last name were correct, and the second last name was partially visible.
In addition, she had other forms of proof of address, which were also not accepted. I honestly cannot understand how this could be a valid reason to refuse opening a bank account. The situation gave the impression of a lack of willingness to help or poor staff preparation.
This experience was unacceptable, a complete waste of time, and inconceivable for a prestigious bank like Chase to provide such poor service.
I’ve been a Chase customer for over 6+ years and there seems to be an understaffing issue at this location. Each time you call over the phone you’re re-directed to another line, then hung up on. No appointments are available online. Lastly, the ATMs always break.
Made an appointment to open a business account with Ariel Rivera. They called to reschedule it a few days out, which I accepted. Then, when I arrived for the 2nd appointment, Ariel claimed it was for 12:30, not 10:30 as the staff had told me. The only solution offered was that I could wait around if I wanted. Recommend you skip this place, they aren’t serious.
Fair skinned young lady at the teller stand, with long curly blonde hair and glasses was extremely rude when I inquired if they had a notary in branch or not. I expect best service as a private client.
I was about to open a saving account for my regular one. Plenty of workers, and they said “we do not have available agent all day. Lol… how can you operate a business with agents who can not do the job. Super annoying .. I was about to set up an appointment for later, they told me come back two weeks later. Ridicolus
I had a problem with the bank's customer service. They were not professional and didn't know enough knowledge. When I was waiting for my appointment, one of the staff members wanted to check my papers to open an account. Even though I showed all the right papers, she said I couldn't open an account for a reason that didn't make sense. When I said I had two other bank accounts and a credit card, she referred to a policy difference. She still didn't accept my passport, driver's license, address proof, and social security number. I went to another Chase Bank and told them what happened. They said I could make an appointment to open an account with the papers I had. When I asked why I couldn't open an account at the first branch, the worker there said it was my choice to leave. I also saw in the reviews that I wasn't the only one with this problem.
Terrible customer service terrible attitude.
I have 6 accounts business and personal and I can’t even solve my simple issue with them. This branch workers are useless and they shouldn’t be doing this job.
Nine times out of ten, I use the ATMs. Once in a great long while, I need to go inside and meet with a teller to process my transaction. The lobby is always clean, and the garbage container is tall and conveniently located next to the recycling container. All the staff members with whom I have interacted are professional, helpful and friendly. I enjoy having options being a Chase Bank customer.
Worst bank in Newjersey , The ATM’s are always out of service or glitching , I deposit my rent money in one of there ATMs and the money didn’t go through , they couldn’t help me inside the branch , I called costumer service and until now my money didn’t show on my account , because of them and their stupid Atm machines I have to pay 10% late fees which $270 dollars on top of my house rent because I couldn’t pay on time , they told me the claim could take up to 10 days and until now they didn’t even credit me my money ,,, this bank is the worst bank to deal with when it comes to claiming your own money , they transfer the call to someone located in India ?? who would just manipulate and give you misleading information,,, they won’t compensate you for any financial loss they simply don’t care , I do not recommend anyone to open an account in this corrupted bank !! Stay away
Great efficient service. I needed a number of tedious transactions completed for my business account as well as a foreign currency exchange/deposit and Jhetsy got everything done for me with ease! I waited in line 3-5 mins max
Do not use Chase ATM here for deposit! It stop working and I complained to cachier. They just responded that they can not do anything and I should call Chase. The note was made to my account after presser from my side.
I call Chase and gave them all info from ticket I received from ATM and was insured that accident will be investigated in 2 hours. Guess what? It is already 30 hours since, no money and division responsible for that is closed!

I've been a chase bank customer for years and this is one of the worst branches I have been in. The tellers are nice and proficient. I understand when there's only 2 of you working a d many people in the bank it can be a wait.
The loans manager or financial planner in this branch was extremely rude and definitely thought he was better than the people he was giving service to. I almost took all my money out of my accounts that day, but ended up getting things done at another branch with better service.
Also the security guard was also extremely rude. Some middle aged woman with a serious attitude. It was like she was frustrated that there were a lot of people waiting so she started bossing people around telling them to spread out, even though we were clearly spread out already and then had a pile of people all on top of each other by the door because people didn't want to wait outside in the cold. Just an absolute clown show.
Go to another chase bank. This one is clearly poorly managed.
These people were fast and efficient in getting my deposit taken care off. Because of thier excellent customer service I switched my entire banking over from TD Bank to Chase. The customer service they provide, the way they follow up with thier customers is outstanding. I've never seen a bank like this. If you have any other banking - do it at Chase. You get more perks and treated with respect unlike banks like TD and BOA.
Looking at my checking account today, it seems like someone withdrew 50 bucks at the ATM in West New York. Seeing that I was in Landing and my husband (who's card was compromised) was in Clifton, this was obviously done by somebody up to NO GOOD. Chase was terrific in their response. Cancel the card and reverse the charge. They have all transactions on Camera. Next step go to WNY PD and file a report so that can investigate this bum!
Nice Chase Bank Even Though I Never Been There But The Bank First Opened On August 23rd 1980 As Washington Mutual Bank But The Name Was Changed To Chase Bank On September 25th 2008
I couldn't be more pleased with my experience today at this branch. I was lucky enough to be helped by Mrs. Paola Nunez. She took her time to explain all my options regarding a business account and successfully opened an account! Thank you Paola!
Waited on long line 20 minz only to be told they didn't have any more 25 cent coin wrappers... its a bank... how do they NOT have coin wrappers... unacceptable....
This is one of the worst branches of Chase, Bergenline and 50th Street. On many visits here, the lines are almost out the door and they have only 3 teller windows open. I try to avoid coming here. The service is incredible slow. If you can ever get to the window though, the tellers are always friendly and provide great service.
SUCKS JUST LEFT the bank because CARLOS was so busy for 45 minutes and there was no customer there because the lady before me left because they made her wait for more that 30 minutes. How can you walk around customer know that they are waiting for you n you on your phone n not giving a F about them. First and last time in that chase.
The worst chase branch ive ever seen in my life, workers keep walking by customers slowly without asking you if you need help, service very slow i kept waiting for more than an hour and no one asked me if i need help.. probably because i dont speak spanish, the workers in that bank are racists
Never has enough staff. There is always one or two who are never busy while the line keeps growing. To me this is poor customer service. Blame the management. Especially on a Friday come on! ? Most people get paid that day of course you should have the extra help.
This is not my first or second time more like every time I have come on Fridays. I been to a few branches around town but this by far the worst w service.
Nice people. Crap service. 10 booths, only 2 open with people behind the glass cracking jokes and relaxing. Huge lines. If you wanna deposit your check on Saturday morning, you're gonna have a bad time. Lines go out the door
A very long line wouldn't be so bad, but there were 4 tellers and only 2 were helping people. The other two wandered around behind the counter and didn't appear to actually be doing anything. And why does it take so long to compete one simple transaction?! Then again, this seems to be par for the course at Chase branches.
This is by far the worst bank ever they only have one or two tellers if we at lucky line is outrages and arm machine old slow and for most part one is broken or out of service! Horrible

You will leave frustrated and surely find a parking ticket on your vehicle because of the waiting line that starts in the entrance.
Why have 10 separate computer and only 2 tellers in the booth. Only one thing that is for sure in this location is that damn line. It is always always long!
