This place has become pathetic. The owner behave extremely rudely. Perhaps he doesn’t care about old customers anymore. I will stay away from this place & advise my friends the same.

I would not recommend this place. Horrible service and attitude and they do not back up the repairs they do. Not trustworthy!

Reasonable, competent and trustworthy. I stopped in at the end of a Saturday with an engine issue. He promised to do some immediate diagnostics and fix it if it could be done quickly. He stuck by his word!

I took both of my vehicles to them and they did an awesome job of fixing what needed to be fixed. One of my vehicles they had to replaced a emissions purge valve for my Toyota venza and it went bad after 6 weeks. I took it back to them and they took 3 days to look at it and said they don't see a problem with it, even though the check engine light was on when i brought it to them. I believe they did replace the part that was needed because the check engine light was off for 6 weeks but when that part failed and the light came back on with the same code as before, it seems like they did not want to make my car a priority to fix it again even though it was still under their Guarantee and warranty. They told me that the labor they do is guaranteed for 1year and the parts vary from 90 days to 1 year. I had to return it to them a 2nd time after 6 weeks and show them the code error that came up on my app that scans the car for errors. Three days later I went to pick up my car and they said there were no errors when they scan the vehicle. So I inserted my wireless OBD-11 device and scan for errors. There were no errors , which seemed suspicious because I had ABS codes that should have still been there. It seemed like they just reset the codes and erased them all. I was right because 2 days later my check engine light came back on and I scanned it and it showed the same problems and my ABS codes came back along with the purge valve that they fixed. So, Even though they did a great job on fixing my car problems. They don't seem to like to honor their Guarantee on their workmanship. If something goes wrong with anything that they have worked on with your car, good luck trying to get them to fix it again. Other than that, they are super busy during the summer months and their prices are cheaper than most garages. I called 14 other garages and found this place to be the cheapest and they were done in 1 day. Just cross your fingers and hope that the part that they installed doesn't go bad before the Warranty is over. They do not honor their Guarantee. So I haven't return to them ever since this incident but they did do 5 repairs to my vehicles and 2 of them were major jobs and nothing went wrong with them until this happened. Just wished they would honor their Guarantee. Well Good luck everyone you will need it.

Avoid this auto care. They are unprofessional. they are looking for how to take money from customers without any service. Incident: My car had the transmission fluid leaking problem. I went there to fix it. After waiting 2 hours, they told me, “Your car has a transmission leak; there hasn’t any room to fix it. We have to take it off, and it will be take 3days to fix it. Now you pay the $75 for the checking fee.” then I said, “why should I pay $75? did you identify where is the leakage?” they replied, yeah, the fluid is coming from the upper of the transmission.” then I said, “I know this fluid is coming from transmission, this is the reason i came here to fix it.” Then they said, “it will take 3days to fix it, do you want to fix it? if you don’t want, now you have to pay $75 for checking fee which I told you before giving the key.” Normally, this type of transmission problems are checked by computer. but they did not do it. Instead of that they did—they took up my car and showed me the transmission fluid where it is coming from, which I know. Then I was charged $75 for it without any service.

These mechanics were truly an answer to prayer. I was 8 hours from home with a van full of children on a Saturday afternoon when I realized I had a coolant leak and would not be able to make it home without getting it fixed. I called over a half dozen mechanics. These gentlemen were the ONLY ones who would even consider taking a look at my vehicle. They were able to fix it in an hour. Since I was an out of towner, it was an emergency visit, and it was a weekend, I sort of expected some price gouging, but they did not overcharge me. The price was incredibly fair. I hope I'm never stuck in NJ again, but if I am, I know who I will call. :)

I went there for brake pads and discs, but they charged me double the amount just for the rear tires. I checked online, and the parts cost half that price. Don’t buy any parts from here—purchase them online or from another auto care shop. They will rip you off. Just for the back discs they took $318 and in the online they cost around 110$ even if you include service charges they took almost $100 extra

I honestly can't say enough good about this place. They truly saved the day for me. I was in the area for a Dr's appointment (40 min from home) and my break light comes on for low fluid, I limped it to the autozone hoping i could just add some and get her home, only to find the pasanger side caliper had completely blown. (I new the breaks were bad and literally had the roters and pads in the back seet as we planned on doing it over the weekend ourselves) luckily, Action Auto was right there, so I walked over to see if they could help. They lovely women in the office was super kind and helpful. (I was quite shaken when i arrived) The timing must have beed good because they were able to take my truck right in. The mechanic was fantastic and replaced the caliper and did the whole break job for me in record time at a very reasonable price and in no tiime I was on my way home. I was able to do the basic "bedding in" on the way home & When I got home, my husband, (a farm equipment mechanic) looked over the job, check the lugs, took it for a spin... all the typical post break job check up and gave the 👍 on a job well done. Action Auto was totally the rainbow 🌈 in my otherwise stormy day! I'm grateful the universe put me in the hands of an honest knowledgeable and kind repair shop. I highly recommend 1000 times over. Execellent work done right at a reasonable price. They are always available when I arrive, and they always do the job fast. There is never a wait.

We are a military new to the area. It is always tough to find a reliable mechanic for our vehicles that we can trust. We are so grateful we found this place. Kap, Pop, and Danny were very professional and honest mechanic's. We couldn't be more happy with the results. Very communicative. Kap sent me photos of the transmission fluid color and a video of the labor underneath the vehicle. I can't say enough nice things about this place. Thanks again for taking care of our vehicle. We will return.

Excellent work, Action Auto Center! Take my word for it. Action Auto is the place to go for all of your vehicle repairs. The staff performed impeccable work on my vehicle. Their actions definitely spoke louder than their words. I am truly impressed. I highly recommend that you take them seriously. Look no further than Action Auto Center. My car’s back brakes were grinding into the rotors. I mean - I was down to the bones… my calipers were screaming at me for nearly a week. I am grateful that I called up Action Auto. They quoted me an unbelievably fair price. When I arrived at the shop, Action Auto had a line of customers waiting ahead of me. Somehow, they serviced my vehicle in approximately one hour. I’m so thankful for Action Auto Center. I took my car to them saying that my alternator needed to replaced. They could have easily went ahead and replaced it because that’s the service I requested them to perform. But they checked my alternator and said that it was charging my vehicle fine and I only needed a new battery. Again sometimes the value in a company is in the services they don’t unnecessarily perform. They gained me as a customer because of their honest approach today. Thank you. If something goes wrong with my vehicle I will trust you to repair it.

We cannot think action auto enough for what they did. We were traveling with our almost 4-year-old and almost one year-old on a trip from Connecticut to North Carolina for vacation. We were on the turnpike and our water pump blew on a Friday evening. Not near anybody we knew, stranded right around the corner from action auto… Peter and his team saved the day. They stayed open late diagnosed our issue and ordered our new part for the morning putting our car priority first thing to get us on the road. They even brought us to our hotel for the night as we were stranded. Truly skilled technicians, we haven’t had a problem since and it’s been five weeks. They were very kind gentleman and we owe them many thanks!

Absolutely horrible experience, we got front breaks 3 minutes out leaving on Lenola Rd. The passenger tire comes completely if damaging the front and side of our Vehicle. Haphazardly, lazy unsafe establishment. That came with out the proper tools to even help us

Very disappointed this visit... I don’t understand why he would replace 1 hose and ignore the other one that was clearly damaged.. he had to see it…i would have not known if it wasn’t for the power steering going again in less than a month and taking it to a more thorough shop that takes photos and showed me that there was an actual hose clamp on the hose…It’s like he purposely ignored it so I had to come back and pay repay $300 in labor to replace a $40 hose that should of been replaced when he did the first one… I also got an oil change, and not even sure if it was actually done because the sticker was never changed—Yes he’s very reasonably price but that comes with the cost of other things expected when spending your hard earned $ and send multiple jobs his way—The customer service and scheduling needs improvement.. He will literally get snappy when questioned about how long the job will take and claim that he is busy as if you are not a paying customer….which doesn’t sit well with me especially when I contacted a day in advance to assure they had the availability…i truly like Pete so I’ll try again and return for further repairs as long as nothing else sketchy happens. 5-25-24 I am really done trusting in these people…i really tried…they are cheap for a reason… quality of work is horrible!!!! This is NOT the first time where I paid for a job to be done and it wasn’t done correctly. I had $800 worth of exhaust work done and even after going back to have them “fix or adjust “ it i apparently have to live with the same grinding metal to metal sound coming from the front exhaust near the brake area where I didn’t even have an issue or noise before…i didn’t ask for them to do anything on the front exhaust…I Knew I had a crack in the exhaust towards the end near the muffler but he called and claimed I had more than just That crack, which I was never made aware of at any other shop that I had the car taken to prior… I have photos of my exhaust and that was the only damage that I was aware of so I don’t know if he was honest about that or he just wanted to make extra cash off me by claiming more damage… I still don’t even know what they did, or didn’t do and I have yet to have the car inspected by another shop in which I will soon to make sure that they did what they said was done. They seem to be very dismissive of my concern with the noise that is still there after them doing this work they claimed to have done… they screwed me over the first time when they did a half a** job repairing my power steering .. So I truly believe they didnt do a thorough job and i didn’t pay all that money to still have issues and noises coming from the exhaust and I’m not going to settle for it if I have to take them to courtI will bc This is ridiculous!!!!!!

Poor customer service. The owner is rude. They value their personal time above all else. They will close sharply at 6/7pm and be rude if you show up anywhere close to those times. I brought my car to drop it off overnight at 6:30 and the owner snapped at me for dropping it off so late as if I was expecting an answer right then and there. I was not. I went back to go pick up my car, again at 6:30 pm. The locks are broken and I did not inform them, so I was locked out of my car. I told them this and because of his urgency close up shop at 7pm sharp, he refused to help me unlock my car. 30 minutes before closing. He told me to come back the next day. It takes maybe 10 minutes max to get into a locked vehicle. 30 minutes after I get home I get a call from him telling me that he’s unlocked my car. I will not be returning to this place in the future. ***The owner’s reply below my review in no way changes my opinion about the poor customer service I received. Note how they made zero effort to ask me to potentially wait until closing, which would have been a reasonable request. Instead they just dismissed me to come back another day, only to unlock my vehicle soon after I had already left.*** If you do not care about customer service and the quality of face to face interactions with the businesses you patronize, then this auto center will probably work for you.

Have been taking my car here for years even though I live in NYC. They usually get my car done the same day and their pricing can't be beat. Would highly recommend!!!

I was referred to Action Auto by a former co-worker over 10 years ago after having a bad experience with a horrible mechanic shop. I've been a customer at Action Auto ever since, great reliable, and honest. I've referred family and friends and they've never complained.

I am impressed with the quality of work. I have had nothing but a good experience every time I have my vehicle serviced. Prices are reasonable, service is quick and hours are accommodating. I believe they have the best interest of the customer in mind, which is a rare quality. I truly hope their integrity continues.

Don't expect any fancy pants treatment like the big dealerships and the like. But never judge a book by its cover because it seems like they run an honest shop and provide fair pricing, unlike dealerships. If you know what needs to be done, let them know and they'll do it without adding a bunch of other items for markup. And turnaround times aren't bad either. There are very few of these places left in the world.

HONEST, RELIABLE, FAIR, VERY KNOWLEDGE MECHANIC! Action Auto is the #1 place I take my car, my mom's car, my aunt's car, and even our church van! Any auto concerns I ever have I call Pete and he says when is best to bring the vehicle in to check out. he let's me know what is the diagnosis same day and gives the time frame 4o complete the work at A REASONABLE price! From brakes, to air conditioning, to transmission, to engine work...whatever the vehicle needs Pete will let you know. If he is unable to do the work, he will recommended someone who he knows will not rip you off! I appreciate this business!

Our car was overheating an hour away from home with our 7 month old baby in the car and we don’t know much about cars- temperature gauge was as high as it goes. We were tired and stressed out. We pulled into an AutoZone to see if they could help us figure out the problem. They said they couldn’t pinpoint the issue but that there was an auto place around the corner that would be closing in 15 minutes but they said that as our best shot to see if the man would check out our car and if he couldn’t help us, at least maybe we could leave it there and get a hotel for the weekend. This was 6:45 on a Friday night. Not only did the man (Peter) kindly check out the problem (he found the issue right away- the fan was broken that cools the radiator), he said he wanted to help us but didn’t know if they had the part in stock. A few minutes later he returned with news that they didn’t have the part, but that he was sending someone to go buy the part from somewhere else so he could install it for us. THIS IS NOW AFTER CLOSING ON HIS FRIDAY NIGHT. He said it would take a couple hours so we waited and he was finished in an hour and 15 minutes. Seriously an incredibly considerate, kind, caring person. It meant so much to us. I’m not telling you to go bother him after hours, but we were blown away that he would not only help us but also go buy the part from somewhere else, install it, and he didn’t overcharge at all. An honest mechanic which is hard to find! It made an otherwise hard and stressful situation for us turn into us feeling so grateful and have some belief in the kindness of humanity. Thank you.

The place isn't pretty. The waiting room is not luxurious. The work is good quality and the prices low. If you want a fancy waiting room with flat panel TV, this is not the place. Of course, you won't get high quality and low prices if the waiting room is fancy. They pay attention to their work, not what the place looks like. I came in and got my exhaust pipe welded back together really cheap. The work that was performed was top notch.

This automotive center is the best. Owner is very courteous, honest and humble. They replaced my Brocken windshield a year ago, I had a small concern year later and these guy told me “ Sir, just bring it back, we will take care of it”. Truly an awesome gesture.

My car had a light that kept coming on the dashboard. I took the car there and they suggested to buy a part and that should fix it. I paid for the part and labor and a day later the light came back on. I take the car back and I was told that this was not their problem and would not fix the issue. I had to argue to get this taken care of, but after a big argument with the owner. I will never recommend this place to anyone I know.

I've taken my BMW and Honda to this place. Even though i had to drive an hour of my way it was well worth it. I saved a ton of money vs dealer pricing and the work was on point. I didn't haven't had to go back after any repairs have been made. I had to write something this time because everything the dealer told me was wrong with my BMW was fixed and the car feels great.
