Hi better late than never….I just wanted to say that I had an amazing trip with Mr Tony that towed my vehicle from Oxford Ms to Jackson Ms. on 11/28/25. Mr Tony was very nice and respectful.

Logan was fantastic! He arrived quickly, was extremely professional, and made the whole process stress-free. He handled everything with care and efficiency, and his friendly attitude made a tough situation so much easier. Highly recommend Logan if you ever need tow service—fast, reliable, and professional!

This is an amazing company and they have even more amazing people that work there! I accidentally locked the keys to my Mercedes inside of the vehicle due to a malfunction of my keys. I am a nurse and work crazy shifts and was trying to get home to take my son to football practice. I use this company and they instantly came out because I was in the hot heat and unlocked my car. I want to thank Tony for being helpful and thoughtful, he is an amazing employee for this company. It’s people like this that helps the world move greatly! Great company would recommend.

Let’s talk about it… About the guy this afternoon that jumped a curb ran across about 400 feet of grass into a parking lot to fly in front of a vehicle and attempt to hook it up with somebody still in the car! What kind of low down diabolical money hungry dirtbag tries to tow a vehicle with somebody still in it?! In a private parking lot at an apartment complex no less! I’ll make sure you all never get any of my business one way or the other! Shameful!!

Made a reservation for a 10 ft UHaul. One day before planned pickup ,I receive a message stating truck not available and sending me a hour away to pickup a 15ft truck instead. No apology , didn’t care about the customer inconvenience, Poor customer service. Stay away from this company.

The Marquis driver dropped my Toyota off a 50-yard hill and totaled my vehicle being brought in for a small repair. *The driver didn't properly secure the car. Marquis does not carry working insurance. Their insurance is a bottom shelf company in Florida that won’t respond to calls. Owner Larry Marquis also won’t return my calls about damage his company caused. A low rent and unprofessional company to avoid if you value your car. I'm now out a $500 deductible to my personal insurance and more than a thousand dollars of recent upgrades. Update: response from owner means that if your car is nicked, dented, or totaled like mine, they won't take responsibility. My car was totaled in May and the "insurer in Florida" has yet to make good. DO NOT TRUST YOUR VEHICLE TO THESE PEOPLE!

Marquis Chervon has a contract with Walmart and who knows who where else in town. So be aware! If you are not parked in a parking space or YOUR parking space at these businesses or apartment complexes, you will be towed. My truck was running with keys, purse, cash on seat, when they towed it. Lesson learned. However, for them to lie and say that I locked my own truck (they told the police the truth after i went home to get the spare key), and I was cursing and acting up outside their establishment was simply lowdown. They locked me inside the gate, then opened it before the police arrived. I told them who I was, who my pastor was, and what I had going on. Lord forgive me if I did say a bad word to the little tow man with the missing teeth because he towed my truck while it was still running with the keys locked inside! God, I thank you for this lesson. They called the police on me. The police were very kind. When my husband called, while they had me and my truck locked in the gate, the manager told him he wasn't there and had no idea if they had towed my truck. My husband told him he could hear my voice so how was he not there? See it's one's character at the end of the day. I paid them their money with no fuss. Now I am going to let the court and Mitsubishi handle the rest because they said they never went inside my vehicle. Lord my husband gave me grace too because he knew I was merely taking care of business for our sick children, a client from my previous job, and our household on my small lunch period. Still no excuse for me to park outside of a parking space. He didn't fuss about those coins i just made and had to hand the straight over to the crooks or the fact that i had to call my boss to clock me out for the rest of the day because i had no way back to work. (I honestly believed it had been stolen because Walmart claimed they had no clue as to what was happening. Lord is MARQUIS CHERVON and WALMART that hard up for money? CLEARLY IT IS NOT GOING TO THE EMPLOYEES. THE TAKE AWAY? IT IS ALL ABOUT MONEY! PARK IN A PARKING SPACE AND MAINTAIN YOUR CHARACTER WHILE DEALING WITH CROOKS AND LIARS JUST LIKE JESUS. GOD WILL HANDLE THE REST. AND THAT'S THE LOVE. WALMART MANAGEMENT IN OXFORD SAID THEY HAD NO IDEA WHO TOWED MY VEHICLE WHILE THE WHOLE TIME THEY HAVE A CONTRACT WITH MARQUIS CHERVON ALLOWING THEM TO CIRCLE THE PARKING LOT TOWING VEHICLES THAT ARE ILLEGALLY PARKED. P. S. PARENTS IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A GREAT VEHICLE FOR YOUR STUDENT GOING OFF TO COLLEGE, MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER IS THE TRUCK FOR YOU. WHEN IT THINKS ITS BEING STOLEN, IT RECORDS EVERYTHING! ? AND THAT'S THE LOVE. P.S.S. AS FAR AS PARKING OUTSIDE OF PARKING SPACE AT WALMART, I WAS WRONG. AS FOR EVERYTHING THING ELSE...STAY TUNED. And for the folk who were watching, giggling and gossiping in Walmart who profess to love Jesus, i saw you. But most importantly, God saw you.

I had a highly unpleasant encounter with Marquis Towing. Not only did I verbally provide them with the location of my car, but I also backed it up with a map drop pin for absolute clarity. Despite this, an hour later, I was confronted with an unfounded accusation of lying about my car’s location, followed by a demand for an extra $55 fee. The incident quickly escalated into an argument. Although I tried to clarify the situation, I was compelled to agree to the additional charge. However, the driver later amended the extra fee to $45 after realizing the car was indeed where I initially said it was. This whole experience, especially being wrongly accused of lying and the general unprofessionalism of Marquis Towing, was extremely frustrating. I cannot recommend their services based on my experience.

Nov.13 i was side of the road( Hwy 6, about 5 minutes from their office). I was told by their dispatch it would be 90 minutes. After waiting 80 minutes, on the side of road, dispatch called and said they can't come. Very unprofessional. I would call someone else, if you need to be towed. Horrible company.

So sad they wait for game day visitors , my son parked a car at Quarters for a night and the car was towed immediately, the tenant said it would be fine . This is a money maker for both, a complete racket. When questioned the owner blamed inflation….what a gouge, what a bunch of losers.

I got my car towed by them (my mistake), but the fee to get your car back is so expensive. I had to pay $360 which, as a college student, really hurt my wallet. I will say, when I went to get my car, the gentlemen there were really nice and I understand they’re just doing their job.

Never heard of a 24 hr towing company. If this is gonna be the case, they could at least notify the individual whose car is being towed. Walked out of my apartment to go workout at 7 am and my car was nowhere to be found. Assuming it was stolen, I dealt with the police all morning and had to miss class. When the police found it at the towing company, I went to get it and was told I’d have to pay $315 to get it back (it was locked inside of their gate). $315 for what? I’ve gotten my car towed before for less than $100. I know what it costs to tow. I could’ve at least been told what the insanely expensive charge was for. The people were also rude besides the guy with the beard who opened the gate for me. He seemed to not be as miserable as the rest of them. Shoutout to that guy for making me want to die a little less after paying $315 when I wanted to spend that money on a pretty dress I’ve been wanting. I’ve never written a review before but this felt necessary

I realize they were just doing their job by towing my car but $320?!?!? What a racket. The payment system was super sketchy. Guy in the office called his boss? And gave him my credit card info. When asked for a receipt he said he would text it. Never got one. Called back and got a super generic one when I pushed for it

I locked my keys in my car while cleaning and vacuuming it out and Marquis Towing had someone there in maybe 20-30 mins, had my door opened instantly. 2 other companies told me they were too busy to assist, so thank you! Really appreciate the quick response and good work.

when in Oxford from out of town watch out, these trolls will tow you while you sit inside and eat your food. If you are so unfortunate to park in a NOT SO CLEAR no parking zone and are picked up by Marquis then, plan to get a hotel because they will not answer the phone, the little dude from the convenience store can't get in touch with him. They say open 24 hours but this is a lie! The will not answer, you have no idea how much the tow will be, nor what time they open. You are at their mercy and they are merciless. I can't believe that AAA is remotely connected with them. Shame on you Marquis, it was my kids that were victim to your Shanghai. Shame on you.

I rented a uhaul and went over what I was going to be charged for with the guy in the office several times... to the point that I was annoying myself. I was told that the extra charge would not go through if I brought the truck back with the same amount of gas I picked it up with. I filled the truck back up to where it was before dropping it off, and still got charged $60. I tried to call the office to clear it up, and the guy was extremely rude and defensive. Needless to say, I did not get refunded what I was charged, as discussed before leaving with the truck in the first place. This place doesn’t even deserve one star. Do not go here.

Awful experience! Contacted Marquis Towing through AAA and waited for two days with no call from Marquis. Called Marquis on day 3 and was told by their office personnel that AAA cancelled my ticket, but that they would be able to get the car at noon today. We contacted AAA who advised that the order was still valid and that she spoke with the owner, Larry, of Marquis and he would call me. After no response, we called another company. After the other company arrived, Larry finally called. This company needs to work on their communication efforts!

Extremely rude workers. Reserved a uhaul through uhaul.com and just called to confirm it with marquis towing. We were told they closed at 4pm and when calling they said that they closed at 3pm. Was transferred when one employee didn’t want to deal with it and the one I was transferred to was also rude. I asked if we could just cancel the order and he just said “okay” and hung up. We have done business here several times in the last 10 years and after this experience, we will be recommending hometownstorage as they were super friendly and accommodating.

I've used Marquis Towing several times for moving purposes, as well as roadside assistance. They have kept me from being stranded, alone on the side of a road several times. I have always had positive experiences with both their services AND their staff and have always been treated fairly, paid fair prices, and gotten excellent service.

Came to Oxford from Texas to visit our daughter at her new apartment, and our vehicle was towed by one of this establishment’s employees. Driver of tow truck admitted that the apartment’s parking pass was on the dash, but date on pass was not visible. The passes date was below the black of the windshield near our Texas state inspection sticker. Only through help of the local police department where we able to recover our vehicle. The owner of the company “graciously” didn’t charge us for the harassment of having our vehicle towed. Be aware of this company and their antics with towing vehicles from apartment complexes in the Oxford area.

I made a reservation for a Uhaul to be picked up at 9am on Saturday. We arrived early in hopes to get going because we had movers arriving at 9:30. No one was there at 8:45. So at 9:02 they opened the office and we were informed they didn’t have the 20’ truck that we had reserved but they had a 26’. At this point, it was 9:15 and we needed to leave in order to meet the movers. They asked if we were okay with the truck and to take it “as is”. Well buyer beware because as is can mean that the truck is disgusting on the inside. This never even crossed my mind. We had no choice but to take whatever truck we could get. The truck also had less than 1/4 tank of gas. Apparently it was my responsibility to remember during two days of moving that I needed to into whatever link she told me about during the last minute change of giving us a different vehicle. Needless to say that after two days of moving nonstop, I did not remember or even know what link she was referring to. So when I turned it in at the level of gas where I received it- I was charged $67 for pumping and for the gas. The point of making a reservation is to have a clean truck waiting at the time of pick up. Now I have a lot of dirty furniture and out an extra $67. And when I called to tell them about both of these points- I was told that it was my fault for accepting it as is and I should have updated the gas amount. Well, if we had had time to thoroughly ask questions and see the truck- I wouldn’t have accepted it. But at that point- no choice to but to say yes and leave. Lesson learned on my part for sure.

I don’t recommend Marquis Towing because of how rude the owner was to me. He overbooks U-Haul trucks. Instead of informing me that no U-Haul trucks were available, he gave me someone’s reservation. I called and told him that I wouldn’t be able to bring it back within a few hours as he requested, so he told me that I could bring it back tomorrow morning. When I brought it back, he charged me for two days! He then proceeded to inform me that he was going to charge me for gas, despite me filling the truck to three-eighths of a tank. This place was very unprofessional, so I will never come here again.

We broke down on 278/6 this morning. Called AAA and they dispatched Marquis Towing. John called to confirm we were safe and where we were, exactly, and arrived well before AAA said he would. He got our loaded down Excursion on the rollback with skill and delivered us - car, my husband and me, to the Ford Dealership. Thank you! We appreciate your professional and timely service!

TOO EXPENSIVE AND TOOK WAY TOO LONG. I just picked up my car from Marquis Towing & Uhaul. I waited 40 minutes after my initial call for them to arrive and was never given a warning about a delay or about anything he would be occupied with at the time. I even called 30 min after my second call and was immediately hung up with when he answered the phone. I was charged $214 which he insisted was the rate although my friend’s parents said they were only charged $100 when their car got towed at Thanksgiving which one would think would cost more. It’s not a game day weekend and I chose to park in Campus Creek because I had some heavy furniture to bring in and would only take 1-2 hours. Would not recommend.

If you voluntarily work at an establishment that deals with people on some of their worst days, you would think the employees here would treat their “customers”, more like victims, with a little more compassion. They talked down to me when I began asking questions about the fees. They also believe that customers cannot hear their snide remarks when they walk into the employee “break room”. There are better towing companies than this one. Avoid Marquis at all costs.

Long story short: the men working here are EXTREMELY rude, unprofessional, and money hungry. They screwed up my night, and doing that didn’t even have anything to do with the fact that they towed my car. I do NOT recommend for any voluntary needs. Here’s what happened: My car was towed from out side of my friends apartment. The lot was empty, so I was not blocking anyone who lives their a right to a space near their home; however, it is my understanding that my car can be towed despite the unnecessary circumstances at hand. The issue I had with Marquis’s towing company was how extremely RUDE these men were, and how terribly they treated my friends, myself, and a Chinese exchange student who could barely understand what was going on. When I called to find out if my vehicle was there, the man on the line was extremely rude to me and hung up the phone when I asked him how much it was it get my car back. When I arrived to the lot, I had to wait a long time to even pay the fee because my car was not even in the system yet, and when they finally got it in the system, they then told me it would be $225 to get my car back. My car was not in the lot for more than 10 minutes before I arrived at the building. They were extremely rude to us and I am not going to get into some of the vile things they said towards us and behind our backs when they thought we couldn’t hear them. They were also extremely rude to the exchange student, and we found problems with his car and his trunk was open when we received the car. The best part of his issue was that when we got there, the men working the tow shop told us they did not know where his car was. They added that they had multiple lots they leave cars in from time to time and could not tell us where it was at the moment. Needless to say that was the most unprofessional thing that happened, in my opinion, during the night. Of all things, the rude behavior and comments, I felt that losing someone’s car was the most unprofessional it could’ve gotten. For those of you looking to have your car VOLUNTARILY towed, please try to find a different business. This business will waste your time, be rude, and take as much money as they can.

Arrived 5 hours from out of town after 11pm only to lock my keys in my car. Paid $50 which hurt, but felt worth it. They arrived quickly in about 15-20 minutes to a location 20 minutes outside Oxford. Extremely professional, friendly, and helpful. Got me into my car in minutes. Very thankful for the service.

If I could rate 10 stars, I would! I just cannot say enough great things about Marquis Towing! I was blown away at how professional and nice they were. As i found myself in an unfortunate vehicle situation, they made it all okay. They were fast and thorough. I see why they are Oxford's #1 towing service!! I, as well as family and friends, have had bad experiences with other towing companies in town, so take my word for it, NO other company comes close to comparison!

One of the worst towing companies in Oxford. They are unprofessional and thieves. It work on their on schedule even thought is clear states on their website that they are open 24 hours. I called their number as the tow truck was leaving the parking lot and the owner stated they were closed and that I had to wait until the morning or pay $25 charge for them coming back out. Total bull crap! I stood out in the rain waiting on them to come when I was told they were open for someone to let me get my car. They are Horrible and I DON'T care how much on a bind I'm in I would NEVER USE THEM!
