I stayed here for two days in an emergency as my flight out had been cancelled (22/23 Feb 2026), using a double room with a friend who is a long standing customer here as his work lace is near by. The staff have been unfailingly lovely and efficient - especially as they were understaffed because many of their colleagues could not get in to work. The in house diner provides good quality reasonably priced food and the printers to get boarding cards sorted out are simple and easy to find/use. I gave the rooms 4 stars as the air con/heating is loud and the window needs reinsulating. otherwise all good. Would happily stay here again.

For a Westin, this hotel really leaves much to be desired. There are a few good things: the beds are very comfy (though they are doubles, not queens). The buffet breakfast was like a typical hotel buffet that you’d find most places (bacon, sausage, French toast, eggs, toast, oatmeal + toppings), but a bit elevated. The fresh fruit was really nice, and the staff were attentive and friendly. However, the rooms are cramped and pretty old. The bathroom has definite signs of many, many years of poor ventilation (rusty door hinges and sprinkler heads, mildew in the shower grout), and there is a water stain in the ceiling of the bedroom as well. Maintenance is lacking as well: when we first arrived in our room after a long day of travel, the deadbolt didn’t work. The front desk said that they’d have an engineer take a look, but neglected to tell me that it would be the next day. So after waiting a long time and having no one show up, I called again and they were able to find someone to come and fix it so that I could finally go to bed feeling secure. The next day, the toilet lever detached from the tank mechanism. I tried to just put it together again myself, but it kept detaching, so I asked the front desk to send someone to fix it while I was out. 6 hours later I was back and it still wasn’t fixed. Also, there’s no moisturizing cream, and the pumps for shampoo, etc in the shower are mounted way too high for this 5’1” person!

Party Time Events Group had the pleasure of working with The Westin Waltham-Boston last night in celebration of their annual Westin Associate Gala. What we observed was genuine care, strong leadership, and an inspiring sense of community from the top down. This special evening honored the hotel’s outstanding employees — recognizing those who lead in guest relations as well as the hardworking, behind-the-scenes team members who often go unnoticed by the public. From the heartfelt words of gratitude shared by the General Manager, EJ, to the impressive efforts of Laura and entire the Sales and Catering Team, it was evident that the Westin leadership truly values each and every associate. My team and I were honored to be part of this celebration of excellence and appreciation. It’s no wonder The Westin Waltham-Boston continues to deliver an exceptional guest experience that sets a standard across the hospitality industry.

The Westin is nice at least the breakfast is good. They very low tech the junior suite the only amenity has is a robe. The tv didn’t work with the Bluetooth and on desk the usb wasn’t working either. The gym is decent. Great location near to restaurants.

Great location for the event. The room was sufficient for our needs but is showing signs of wear. The staff was helpful. All in all this location worked fine.

Truly, outstanding stays every time we come here. It doesn’t seem like it would be as good as it is, but the service makes you feel like you’re a king or a queen. The rooms are immaculate, and the prices are usually shockingly low for this high-quality brand. Highly highly recommend

Very clean and service was efficient. Special shout-out to Sam in Relish who kept the bar open later than he expected when people returned from a wedding reception. He was very friendly, accommodating and went the extra mile to allow people to enjoy the wedding vibe a bit longer. Thank you, Sam!

The Westin hotel is a nice high quality hotel that looks great on first glance, but the more you dive in it doesn’t look at great. In this review I will talk about many different parts of the hotel, good and bad. First impressions: walking in the hotel is so beautiful with great rugs and flavored water and complimentary fruit. The windows and lookout on a hill is so beautiful. Checking in: checking in is relatively easy, with the service seeming quite nice to start. Getting to the room: the elevator is very nice, and the halls are very easy to navigate, unlike some other hotels. The room: the rooms are okay, with the bathrooms being the highlight. But the walls and overall mood is nice, but some closer issues remain that I will state later. Night and service: these are my main issues. At night, there were multiple people screaming and slamming doors; ranging from 9 pm-4 in the morning! I called telling them what happened, and they said they will take care of it. The same night it kept happening and I called been saying what happened and they said that there is “nothing they can do about it” and it retained for the rest of my weeks vacation I called in multiple times kept saying why there’s nothing that they can do about it and they said that“Nothing was actually happening “ Which rightfully made me very upset because it literally was. Overall: the Westin is a nice hotel with overall nice rooms and atmosphere and good room service not service for complaints and nice pool and great burgers. Some issues though hold this back from being a great hotel.

This hotel does the trick. Rooms are good. Downside is during the winter the temperature control in the room is not god. The breakfast has good food. But no room service for breakfast.

5 stars all around, everything from service, rooms, comfort, amenities, flexibility, price, ease of parking, food, tv options, etc. Truly I was blown away by this hotel.

My wife and I stayed after my company Holiday party. This is a fully serviceable business person's hotel. There is nothing to complain about, and nothing remarkable other than the super nice staff.

This hotel is completely incapable of hosting groups with buses. They have inadequate space and poorly trained staff that lack even a basic understanding of buses and how they operate. First you come into a circle by the main entrance and buses are not allowed to go around the circle, so you have to back up and do a 3 point turn in front of the parking garage as people walk behind you and cars come flying out without looking. The front desk employees said it was a liability to allow buses into the circle; So you think backing up a bus in a tight, busy parking lot with pedestrians is the safer option? Next you have to squeeze past the valet station, which was set up for a party along the whole curb along the building on the lane out and with a row of parked cars on the other side, the only lane out was extremely tight with inches to spare, this is particularly fun at night! One of the parked vehicles when I was there was an extended van and another was the Westin Shuttle, because why not make it a little more difficult? And then you have to turn sharply into the tiny employee lot, with cars randomly parked about the lot, islands that you have to drive over to get down the lanes (which is a serious concern for tires) so you can hopefully park yourself in a way so you don't get blocked in, because it's just a tight getting out as it was getting in. And the lot entrance has an automatic arm that you have to sit and wait for an employee to come out to open with a clicker. And when I was there there were 6 other buses besides mine that had to squeeze into the lot. I couldn't even tell you what the inside of the hotel was like. I got my group here at 1:30pm and never got a chance to go to my room because I had to deal with the bus parking the whole afternoon. I did talk to the 3 people at the front desk who were quite pompous and had no idea about buses. I will give credit to a couple of the valets from the party the 1st night who understood the situation and were very polite & made an effort to be helpful. But overall this was a truly terrible experience at this hotel. If this all wasn't enough, the driveways are lined with low hanging tree branches that damage the buses. It's very clear that the owners could not care less for buses or their drivers. If you don't want us here, fine, that's your prerogative. Then don't accept 7 teams and their buses from an NCAA Tournament. The last straw for me was when I pulled into the lot and had to back out through the gated lot entrance into the busy driveway because there was no room to maneuver in the lot. I ultimately refused to cater to this stupidity anymore and called my boss and got booked into another hotel that was FAR MORE accommodating. Unfortunately my group was stuck here and I still had to come back here to pick them up, but at least I don't have to deal with the parking anymore. Whoever thought it was a good idea to book all of these teams here at the same time should be fired. If you're a bus driver and you see this hotel on your trip sheet, I strongly suggest you save yourself the aggravation and go somewhere else. And if you're lucky enough to be able to, bring your group with you!

Stayed here for one night on Thanksgiving as it was not far from our family get together. Easy to both self park ($20) and check-in. Room was comfortable and clean. Slept great.no complaints. Did not check out restaurant there.

Unimpressive and mediocre stay, unfortunately, and I've stayed in a number of other better hotels in Waltham recently. Would not stay here again. * small room * no microwave (my wife has dietary restrictions and can't really eat in the hotel restaurant, but couldn't heat her food in the room) * found a number of pieces of trash next to bed (water bottle, electrolyte packet) * they charged $20 for parking! I found this a particular cheap move. No other hotel I've stayed in Waltham has charged for parking. * Swimming pool was closed when it was one the main reasons we booked this place. * Fitness center is nice, so that's a plus.

I have stayed at cheaper hotel with better amenities. For the price you pay, no free breakfast or complimentary coffee. The vanity in my bathroom was cracked and there was pubic hair in the tub and toilet which were not mine because I hadn't used the bathroom. So much dust on the wall and mop boards I cleaned it myself. No microwave in the room so I dont know where they expect you to heat up left overs, oh wait, they dont, they want you to go down into their overpriced shoddy hotel restaurant. And the beautiful comfy robe they provide for you to relax in after a long day, I wouldn't put that robe in to line my animals cage its so terribly scratchy and uncomfortable. Staff was snotty and rude. I asked a question and they looked at me like I was beneath them. Much rather stay at a cheaper hotel with better amenities and service. Not worth the price!!!

Despite the headache I experienced with Booking.com during my cancellation process, the staff at the Westin Waltham were grounding, receptive, and genuinely supportive of my request. Their professionalism and kindness stood out during a stressful situation. I would absolutely recommend doing business with them!

Paying $400 for this hotel should be a damn crime! Booked because job placed me here. Hotel is old and in desperate need of updating. When I walked in the room, I was met with a smell of dirty water or was it mold?! I was so tired, I tried to shut bathroom door which is where the strongest of the smell was so I could get to sleep. I awoke at 6am and couldn’t take it. I was switched to another room and the shower drain was stopped up. Discussions with other coworkers, they had same issue so this smell is a hotel issue and they are known for it around town. I will absolutely not stay at this location again!!

We had a wonderful experience being part of the Gala at The Westin Waltham Boston! The venue was absolutely stunning—elegant, spacious, and perfectly suited for such a grand and memorable event. Everything from the atmosphere to the service reflected professionalism and class. A heartfelt thank you to Robin Dziedzic for having Hello Photo Booth Rental as part of this special evening. It was such a pleasure working with you and your team, and we truly appreciated your seamless coordination and warm hospitality. Our photo booth was a huge hit, and it was so much fun seeing guests capture joyful, candid moments throughout the night. Thank you again to The Westin Waltham Boston and Robin Dziedzic for including us in your incredible Gala. We were honored to be part of the celebration and look forward to many more events together in the future!

Had a recent stay there. Hotel was wonderful. I usually do not write reviews of hotels, but in this case I want to call out Emily at the front desk. Something got left behind by accident and she was absolutely wonderful in assisting me in getting my items back.

I can't say enough positive things about Westin Waltham! We stayed while on vacation for a week. The staff was always focused on providing an enjoyable experience. The folks staffing the front desk and the wait staff during breakfast were outstanding! Our room was very nice, the view was spectacular. For our purposes, the location was perfect, easy access to the freeway. We would stay here again!

Very friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms, excellent location. They even had a complimentary appetizer table with cheeses, crackers and homemade cookies for everyone! The Clemson Tigers football team stayed there for the game against Boston College.

I’ll start this review to let everyone know that I base this review with extensive experience with Marriotts around the world - over 1000 nights stayed and I don’t typically write reviews unless the experience was that bad and I want to warn fellow travelers. I’m a loyal Marriott customer but would never stay here again. Service at this hotel was really bad. I blame management because the hotel is under staffed and the minimal staff they have are poorly trained.||Front desk staff was rude and not at all accommodating. We missed the beginning of the service because of them even though I checked in 24 hours early and requested a check-in time of 1:30. ||We didn’t get to eat breakfast because the restaurant was under staffed and the line for the buffet seating was out the door. ||The room was not in great shape - bathroom drains clogged, bathroom vent fan inoperable, desk AC outlets inoperable, etc.||Overall, the hotel is poorly managed. The staff is not to blame - they are doing the best they can with the limited resources provided.

My fiancé and I reserved and pre-paid for a room one week in advance of our arrival. We called the day of the reservation to let them know that we would be arriving late, and they said it was no problem and that they would make a note of it on our reservation and looked forward to seeing us when we arrived. When we arrived at midnight, however, we were told that the hotel was over-booked and that no rooms were available. I have never been to a hotel that did not honor reservations. The lady at the front desk was rude and said that sometimes hotels overbook and that she could give us a letter so we could stay one night at a hotel 11 minutes away. We asked to just cancel the reservation, and she refused. She acted as though our being frustrated at being turned away was completely unreasonable, and she treated us with contempt and annoyance. We had to drive 11 minutes away with a letter saying that our hotel reservation had not been honored, and could we please stay at the Marriott Newton. We received nothing for the inconvenience, and it was a horrible start to our trip. I can’t speak to the rooms, but I will say that for us and the other couple who ended up in the same situation right before us, don’t expect that paying for and reserving a room will mean you have a room at the Westin Waltham. If they overbook, they will treat you like an annoyance and huddle you off somewhere 11 minutes away, as through their taking your room and giving it to someone else was your fault.

Can I start by recommending this hotel on all levels. The rooms are large and very comfortable The bed was the best bed I have ever slept in. Everyone of the staff I met were so professional and very kind. Big shout out to Rodney the Room manager on the front desk.........after 5 days of trying to retrieve my lost mobile he got it back to me at my next hotel. He should be made the general manager (no offence to the current one). The location would have been fine if I was on business but after 4/5 days I needed to be closer to Boston.

Many complements to Sheila Ramirez who works at the Relish Restaurant at the hotel. Besides her great knowledge of the menu in which helped me to make a great dinner choice, she is also very kind, helpful and generous. They’re lucky to have her working for them. She’s a great addition!

This hotel may work well if you’re here for a lively convention, but it’s not a good choice if you value rest or expect a quiet night before the early hours of the morning. Like several other reviewers have noted, the property is overdue for a full renovation. I also have a mild mold allergy, and once the AC kicked on in our room the musty smell immediately triggered my sinuses. That alone would have made for an uncomfortable stay, but the real issue was noise. Our visit overlapped with a salsa convention, and the music and gatherings continued until after 4:00 AM. A large group gathered in a room near ours, and despite multiple calls to the front desk- my wife at 12:45 AM and myself about 20 minutes later - the noise was not addressed. In fact, when I provided more details, the staff became short with me and hung up. This was especially frustrating because our own group had been required to sign quiet-hours agreements upon check-in. Several members of our party complained, but staff simply brushed it off, saying: “Well, the convention continues tonight, so it’s going to be loud again.” That lack of accountability and disregard for guest comfort was very disappointing.

My stay at the Westin Waltham Boston was incredible from start to finish. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the water view was absolutely worth the small upgrade—it made the room feel peaceful and special. The room was spotless, modern, and the bedding was exceptional—probably the best night’s sleep I’ve ever had in a hotel. I also appreciated the thoughtful touch of bathrobes in the room. Every staff member I interacted with was professional, kind, and helpful. While I didn’t get a chance to try the restaurant or bar, they both looked inviting. Parking was easy to access, though the garage spaces were a bit tight, they were very convenient to the hotel. The only area that could use a bit of extra attention was the main entrance—specifically the glass doors, which understandably get a lot of wear with constant traffic. That aside, I would absolutely recommend the Westin Waltham to anyone visiting the Boston area. I’m already looking forward to my next stay.

Impressed ?? I visit plenty of hotels for work travel and for pleasure family trips. This location was wonderful. Rodney at the front office/check in desk, should be promoted to General Manager, district representative or regional trainer ! Very professional, diplomatic and customer focused. It's rare to find this level of care in staff today at hotels At all. Megané was super accommodating as well. Thank you . Room was clean, check in was quick, parking was easy and rates were reasonable. Pool area looks a bit dated , water was not cold but not warm. but plenty of towels, gym was well equipped and clean. The elevators are fast, the building is close to highway very easy to reach and everything worked well. Westin has decided to not do feather pillows , no minibar, and no cordless phone, not a deal killer though

I was traveling with my three children, so I needed a room with two beds. I booked it that way, and it was confirmed as a lake view room. However, when we arrived, the room only had one bed and a sofa. The staff told me this room was an upgrade, but it didn’t suit our needs at all. I asked to switch back to the original type of room, but I had to wait over 20 minutes again. I felt that the staff was really inefficient.Eventually, we were given a room with two beds, but we had to give up the lake view. To make things worse, my son found a sharp piece of glass on the floor of the room. Thankfully, no one got hurt.
