What clients say about Waltham Bottle & Can Return in Waltham (MA)

Bottle & can drink recycling at its finest. There's always an attendant milling near the office and the carts are huge. Park and unload your recycling items and provide a count (honor based), and get paid. Recommended highly for convenience

Very kind and understanding people, easy experience. I do recommend though if you bring in trash bags of cans... Pre-count 50 cans per bag to make it quicker and easier in your experience!! Honestly well worth the out of the way drive versus standing in front of the stupid crush machines... And waiting for the can to be processed or kicked back at you because for some reason Schweppes ginger ale is not accepted at the stop & shop one, the Shaw's one, or the Wegmans one... So at this point I am definitely going to be coming here once a month!!!

I had large amount of aluminium cans, didn't face any issue redeeming them (5 cents/can). You need to count the cans beforehand to speed up things and they will ask how many you have and just pay you the total amount.

Went for the first time today. As described it’s a bit of an obstacle course to reach the bottle and can return as you maneuver through the auto lot, but there are plenty of guiding signs and room to park when you get there. Count out the cans in a shopping cart, push the cart to an employee, they’ll ask how many, and you leave with cash. Simple, easy, and no stress about which cans are or are not accepted.

Love returning my cans here. The staff are super friendly and they accept any kind of cans. They go by the honor system and customers are to count their cans to then be exchanged for payment.

A local redemption center for metal cans and glass bottles. This location is behind the automotive shops and requires some patience to reach. Once you've turned in, be sure to go slow and be aware of people walking and where cars are left. Once you reach the redemption center, there are numerous empty carts to count out your items before turning them in. Some people prefer to count the cans and bottles ahead of time and bag them in clear bags for quicker service. Either way, you provide the total number and receive cash for your cans and bottles. They accept more than just the local supermarket, making this a more cost-effective option. I highly recommend using this drop-off center to get your money's worth on your redemption.

They don't give you any direction, so if it's your first time, just know that you have to tell them how many cans you are handing over. They give you no receipt either. They just took the carts and handed me cash. Also, one of the dudes with glasses is just straight up rude for no reason. I will be trying out another center next time. I don't recommend this place.

Busy place, just drop in your cans they will take care of the rest. Very nice people, they are fast with calculting your total and sending you out the door happy. They are open very convenient times and 6 days a week!

Nice people. Be efficient, clean the cans & bottles before you go, and things are quick and simple.

Don't suggest this place if you come in and have a huge number of cans and bottles as they can be very difficult and almost seems like they don't believe how many you have have brought several thousand cans and bottles the last few times going here and each time its like they don't believe the number brought in. They eventually take your count of what you have but make it difficult I recommend only bringing in maybe a hundred or two at a time as they tend to believe smaller quantities

In 1982 I worked for MassPirg and the bottle bill went thru. To see how many people are employed due to this is nice.

State law stated they were to reopen so drove there. No one in sight. Called the phone number. Busy signal or no one picked up. Then had to go to Cambridge which took extra 45 minutes to and from plus time there. Very inconvenient.

5 stars because the people who work there are always great! I swung by this place yesterday, 6/4/20, and there was a big sign before driving in the back that said "NO BOTTLES" and the door had a big "CLOSED" sign on it, but there were a lot of people working there, way more than usual. So they're either closing for good, or they're just catching up from the past 3 months before reopening.

Whenever I call they don’t answer but I get a busy signal for them. I’m trying to reach out to them if they are open so I can do my bottle deposits. They are usually nice and sometimes answer the calls but they aren’t today for some reason. Totally makes me feel upset!

I’ve been dropping off cans/bottles for years at this place. They’re super nice too

Hard to find behind the car repair shops. No one really directs you but after you find out who it works, it's easy. You place the bottles and cans in boxes of 24. When done you wave someone down to count. It can get busy but they have taken every can I have brought with MA on it.

An absolute dump with no person in charge or able to direct me as to their procedures. Left after being ignored for 10 minutes.
