Used Kansas Powertrain & Equipment for the last year and would like to say I am really satisfied with them, These guys know what they are doing from reefer repairs to truck repairs. Definitely recommending them if you need to find a shop in this area.
Great service from the experts at Kansas Powertrain! The entire staff treated me like a good friend. They pushed me to the front of the line even though they were extremely busy. I was able to complete the load to Arizona thanks to them.

Talked to Al here. Highly suggest going literally anywhere else if possible. Not pleasant to deal with at all. Not at all customer oriented. Do yourself a favor and spend less money elsewhere for better service.
Go to Tik tok and look this place up it’ll show you how unprofessional it is one of there guys backed a truck up into a dump truck and flipped out on the guy who’s truck it was
Terrible experience. Shop had truck for over a month. They seemed to find all sorts to nickel and dime a guy with, except the actual problem we took the truck in for. The service manager flat out lied to us in regards to what their mechanics had checked and work done. Shop finally threw in the towel and gaslighted. Telling us "truck was fine and we were wrong". Long story short and a trip to another shop, revealed a scared camshaft. Which was plain as day looking through the pulled injector and drop oil pan. (Both of which ks powertrain charged us to inspect). Had we followed the advice of Kansas power train? Without a doubt it would have cost us a engine. Stay clear. I did enjoy the TikTok of owner acting like a donkey though. So that's the one star.

Holy cow these guys (Ray and Chuck) saved our trip! We blew a boost boot on our 6.7 powerstroke, and these guys knew the issue and had it fixed in 2 HOURS! They were the one of the few shops that I was able to call that works on medium duty trucks (F250+) in the area. They remind me of a community shop that cares about their customers! I cannot recommend this shop any higher!
Company is borderline a scam... They sold me the wrong starter, one that won't catch the flexplate and just spins. Chuck argued with me about it and, after chuck himself bench tested the old starter and verified it does not work, he told me that it has to be a ground issue on the truck side and that he won't refund the starter. He has never seen the vehicle this starter is for. Now I am stuck being out $500 and I am stuck with starter that I can't use.
They’ve had my truck for a week. I can’t haul any loads bc they keep putting my equipment on the back burner while they rake in the emergency calls due to weather.
Traveling from Colorado to Indiana. Was in a pickle with my 2018 Denali 3500, these folks were more than accommodating given short notice. Large shop with quality hometown service!
Fantastic. Broke down on the way to Ozark, MO, fortunately it was within a 20 mile tow to this place. Chuck and Ben were very easy to work with and they went out of their way to get me there in the morning to pick up my truck, that was repaired before they opened.

This place and the worker there are fenomenal, I show up for an brake chamber leak right away they got me in the bay and replace it within 45 min or less , they got me in my way super fast . If anyone need of a truck repair definitely stop by Amd they will help u .. thanks team ??

My truck had air leak and they spent 30 mins only to get it fixed but they charged me for $598 labor 4 hours. I strongly recommend not go to this shop. They are charging too much money and threatening me if I don’t pay they will lock my truck in yard.mechanic was very rude.
Have been in the equipment & truck service business for 40 + years and I have NEVER seen anybody lie to and change the truth (bait & switch) around as much as these guys did! as I also own a trucking company and one of my owner operators had a truck there for transmission rebuild they told both of us that they had the transmission in stock and once they got it back in the shop (after they had it in and diagnosed it they took it out till he decided to have it done) that the truck would be ready in 3-4 day which was acceptable the facts are they had no transmission in stock took ours apart without us knowing it and on day 5 of it being in the shop we find this out and parts are ordered they had the truck over a month and put other parts on the truck without us knowing it and charged us items and services we were told were included in other line items for example diagnoses was to be part of the 1500.00 in labor we were quoted 6950.00 and the final bill today was 8156.29 tax exempt on parts more: they had drivers truck for over a month on day 1 talked directly to Ray told him I could send a trans to them from Columbus Oh same day he told me they had a reman trans in stock when in fact they had no trans in stock a classic bait and switch and quoted me a turnaround of 4 days they had the truck over 5 weeks NEVER NEVER AGAIN!!
Been taking my fleet there for several years after using all the other truck repair shops in Topeka area. They'll fix issues other shops "fixed". Seems they're always able to get my trucks in and out quicker than the other places would.
They had my truck 10 weeks charged over 9 grand and I still have the same problem dovyoursekf a favor take you vehicle anywhere else save yourself a lot of time and frustration
I took a drive shaft in to them they charged me a 107 for pars and labor that wasn't that bad but I needed one ujoint replaced I'm here for a couple of days helping someone and one of my ujoint went bad they will not replace the the one that is bad they want to replace all 3 of them and then balance it that around 300 dollars I had already told them that we were running low on money and that's with me pulling the driveline off and taking it to them all they had to do is put ujoint in because I dont have the press
While the people there were pleasant, our truck left there running only mildly better than before they had it for two weeks they had it. After spending $6500 there, we had to spend an additional $2500 4 hours down the road.
great service and more then proffesional mechanic!! they will help you to go back on the road they are doctors for semi trucks!!!!!!!! they doing job step by step but they do to the end and they finish..price is fine,not expensive....i was happy...and if i need mechanic in future in topeka i will come back here...thank you !!
