Supposed to call me when the part was ready. Never got a call. Called for an update. Had to leave a message. Never called me back. Called again and got the rude adshat.
They put tires on my son’s truck and damaged all 4 rims it looks like they didn’t even care for what they were doing because they did it to all of them! No valve caps put on I would stay away from this place.
Gave them a stock number and asked for the grill (Ram truck). Gave me a price but said they would not ship it. Not sure why they have their junk yard inventory listed online but not ship. Maybe it's the size of the item but disappointed. If they change their mind and are willing to ship without charging an arm and a leg, I'll remove this review.
Live out of state wanted to buy a truck from them called got availability and ask for a purchase agreement to be emailed and would be there the next day to pick up. For 2 days calling for purchase agreement and say yep sent it to you but never received. Finally 3 day called in morning salesman responds yep I will get that agreement sent right now. Never received agreement when called back few hours later salesman response sorry truck is sold
Ordered a ECM for a 2019 ram 2500 6.7 cummins, gave the part number i needed to nick and said he had one, i said perfect and paid $1050 or so to have it shipped to me. Got the ecm, was wrong part number, called nick thinking maybe someone grabbed the wrong one, sent him pics of it. Said no problem, gonna get me label and refunded to be sent back for the right one, acknowledged he messed up and said he's done it before but will make it right. Still no receipt or invoice for the original one. Just charged my card and sent the wrong one. Caused issues with my customer and I for a delay and i had to lose the money and customer. Texted many times, could see he read it and now ghosted for 2.5 months. Bought many parts from them before and had good luck. But 1 star since it caused issues with me and my business and customer. Appreciate it.
I drove 3 hours to pick up a rearend for a Toyota truck. When I got back , I found out that. They gave me the wrong one . I had to drive another 6 hours round trip because they would not ship the right one and pick up the wrong one. Paper work had the right information . parts were in great shape.. Just miscommunication on both sides.
worst services forever......Tried calling, emailing, nothing. The guy I was dealing with, Nick, just vanished after taking the money. Not even a courtesy follow-up. Feels like they’re running a shady setup. If you're thinking about buying from them, be careful. At the very least, respond to people and handle your business right.
Called on a Monday about getting a rear end for an f250. They said they would have it out in a day or two. Called Tuesday to see how far along it was because I live out of state and would need to plan for when to leave. They the said it would be Thursday before it was out. I called Thursday and the ended up hanging up on me. I Called right back and they said it would be Saturday. Called Saturday and asked what was going on and the dude on the phone had an attitude and said I'm surprised we are even here today because of an ice storm and then told me it would be out the next Monday and they would call when it was out. Waited till the next Wednesday to call back and then got put on hold and hung up on again.
Edit: nick the sales manager just gave me a call and definitely tried his best to make the situation right and explained the miscommunication on their part which is why I changed this review. I can appreciate taking accountability and trying to make it right. They did have the best price on the axle so ig they are a busy shop. Nick offered a discount on future parts.
Called there needing a driveshaft for my truck since mine just fell out of my truck. I explained my predicament to the person on the phone and they told me that it would be 1-2 days to pull one of the 25 listed in Car Part. I then reiterated I was sitting at a gas station and needed it now. He said no guarantees but he'd see what he could do "this late in the day". It was 2:30. A rear driveshaft on this truck is 4 bolts and takes less then 5 minutes to remove. I told him I'd come down and do it myself if it was a staffing issue and he then said well we have a lot of those 2 minutes jobs that add up. I asked if all those people were sitting in a gas station parking lot 100+ miles from home. Well, big surprise he never called me back to inform me one way or another. I ended up patching my destroyed driveshaft back together and limping it home. They also wanted $200 for a driveshaft when every other salvage yard in the state wants less then half that. This isn't the first time I've tried to patronize them only to be left frustrated and pissed off. 0/10 would not recommend. Too expensive and downright useless people to deal with.
I should of read the reviews first! Absolutely horrible customer service. Purchased fuel tank for a semi and when I sent a truck to pick it up they didn't have it ready...come to find out they didn't have the right one and tried to pull out a different one than I paid for which had dents in it. What an absolute waste of our time.
Contacted via Facebook messenger about and ad. 4 days later responded with instructions to call. Called next day and was told I would receive an email. Did not receive so I called the following day and had to email them to get a response. Each email took at least a day for a response and some needed another email to them to get a response. Finally agree on a price. Call to arrange purchase (15 days from original contact) and was told vehicle needed to be driven around and they would send more pics via email. Got pics via email and concerns over condition had me sleep on the decision to purchase. Next morning at 7:30am sent email with questions regarding condition and price. 4 hours later receive email saying vehicle was sold. At no point was any “handshake” made so i was never the owner of the vehicle but overall this was a negative experience which lasted for 2 weeks too long.
BUYER BEWARE! I bought a transmission from these guys with 51000 miles for $2000 + 3% transaction fee, nothing but junk. BUYER BEWARE!!!!
Update....after spending $2000 + 3% transaction fee and $900 for the install on basically a core transmission, finally got it rebuilt by a transmission shop. All clutches were bad and torque converter bad. But after I made that purchase, I also started getting funny charges on my bank account. So not only did I get screwed on the transmission, they must have a skimmer on their card machine. DONT EVER GO TO THIS PLACE WITHOUT CASH!!!! If I ever need parts, it won't be from these people!!!!
Drove 2 hours to look at a T350 van. Asked prior to leaving if there were any known issues. Was told there wasn't. When I arrived the battery was basically dead so needed to be charged. Then the engine light was on and before the test drive began. Engine rattled pretty bad like there was no oil in it. Also the radio and none of the electronics worked. When I got back to the shop was basically told "yeah it is what it is, that's why it's priced at what it's priced." It's like ok thanks. Could have let me know that when asked prior to driving 2 hours each way. Do not recommend.

I stopped in the middle of October to purchase a part. They said it might be a couple days as they were behind. Never heard back. Called 2 weeks later and the same thing. Stopped in a 2nd time. Said they call when ready. Never heard again. Called and they had no record of me even though they confirmed me in the system the 2nd stop. So I placed an online inquiry of that same part. Never heard anything. It's now the end of December and not a word. Contacted them 5 times and not 1 return call. I even offered to pay for the part upfront. Not sure why they don't want my money?
Communication is key when it comes to business.. I have spent several weeks going back and forth with them via email. They hardly communicate. I emailed I would be coming to look at a vehicle and expressed wanting to trade in... I showed up the vehicle I was interested in wasnt on site and was out for repairs which should have been communicated when I expressed interest. So we started looking at other vehicle brooks went out and said he would be back with a trade in value.. instead went and helped other customers... assuming it's because they had cash out... never again will I waste timewith this place... we were being helped first and he could have communicated if he wasn't interested. Don't call them to order a part if you value your time. I ordered a part and I never got a call back. I checked in three times over the course of as many months and couldn't get a clear answer on what was going on. I do have to give them points though - Sam's has found creative new ways to avoid taking my money.
I never write reviews but this experience has frustrated me to the point of doing so. If anyone from Sam's is reading this, just know there is basically nothing you could do at this point to convince me that working with you is worth my time or money.
The business with the representative was made with an engine and transmission of a Chrysler Pacifica 2020 car that had 10k miles.
But I got an engine and transmission with a vin number that the car was 2017 and until April 2022 it indicated 67k miles.
Prior to this purchase I had better offers on the engine and transmission but Steve the representative charged me in two parts $3250 $550 and the total was $3800. For an engine and transmission that was changed year and mileage and in the receipt I received $3250 for the 2017 parts.
They are not professional at all because they changed the parts and charged me for something that was not agreed at first.
I sent Steve some messages because you charged me for something that we never agreed to and you charged me $550 more and he never responded, Everything is wrong with this purchase They changed engine and transmission in the shipment that is not professional.
I do not refuse to pay but it is not professional to play with the client in this way.
Called about an engine for sale, they told me 4 days to pull it and I could come get it. They told me ahead of time that card payments are 3% extra, so I could plan ahead and bring cash. They had my engine strapped on a palet and ready to go when I got there and loaded it for me. Installed the engine that night and it runs very well. Best price around.
I would not recommend. I placed offer on vehicle and a return call was never given. It’s like the don’t really want my business. When I called back the other individual who answered sarcastically told me he was to busy to return calls. We then agreed on a price and he sarcastically told me he needed 2k to hold the vehicle one week non-refundable. I was going to pay cash for vehicle but the customer service is down right atrocious. Run the other way as fast as you can. I’ll take my cash to another place and even pay more to do so. Bad business and customer service should not be rewarded!
Have called the parts department many, many times to no success. They like to really let the phone ring out as long as possible probably hoping you just end the call before even reaching anybody. Have waited 2 weeks for easy parts to be pulled and they’ve pushed back dates on me multiple times. Unfriendly, unwelcoming, and unfortunate to have staff that act in this manner when people are literally just trying to give you money for something they need. Try shopping local to support out marketplace but then places like these make that unnecessarily difficult.
Sam's Riverside is great if you're looking to save money on car parts.
Their online parts inventory is up to date and they have a substantial amount of parts.
It was easy to place a phone order, and they had the part ready when they said they would. The office staff was helpful too.
Pricing is very fair. I found it to be cheaper than used parts on Ebay.
We were interested in a vehicle that we had test driven. The Vehicle was able to be financed so we told them that if we did not finance the entire amount, we would be able to make a down payment on it with no doubt. My husband provided his income information over the phone, the next day Billy took down my information and I was told I would get a call that same day. Two days went by so I called and I was told that they would still needed to talk to the finance department and he promised a call back by early Friday morning. I have yet to hear back from them. I never received anything in writing regarding my loan request. Who knows what they did with all the personal information they took "to provide to the finance department".
Wonderful people. Held an engine for us for 2 weeks. Awesome customer service! Joking around with us. Also two lovely furry assistants that are attention seekers are such good pups! Thanks guys! Your doing awesome job
Great place to buy used parts and rebuildable cars. We have been doing business with them for over 40 years. All of our cars and trucks have been purchased from them and we have never had a problem. Friendly, knowledgeable counter help. If they don't have the part you need they will locate it for you. The hard-working owner Gary and his sons are almost always there and are very involved in the business.
Bought a car from these guys about 3 months ago and wanted to wait to leave a review until I had a chance to put some miles on it.
It has turned out to be a really good car! I had an issue with a light on the second day but these guys took care of it without blinking an eye and did it quickly. I will definitely be back. The price was pretty freaking awesome too :)
