Best small engine and mechanic diagonistic shop ever. Family owned. They will never ever rip you off on prices or on work they cannot do. They will go above and beyond for you. Great people. If they cannot do the work themselves they will give a great list o people in the surrounding area who can do it. Fair prices. Was astounded when i first went there 2 years ago by the care and quality. Pretty rare to find one like this. Do not waste your time on any other shop.
Charged way to much money for generator parts and simple service, also charged for exaust gasket replacement and put the wrong ones on the car and now has a worse exaust leak than it did before
This auto place always helps me out when I don’t know what’s wrong with my car, which can be pretty often lol. I leave my car there during the day while I’m working and I come back and it’s all fixed up and ready to go. I trust them 100% to make my car safe for me to drive. Prices are decent as well. these guys/ ladies are good people, so if you need any auto maintenance, check them out.

I wanted to share my experience with Auto Clinic in Frankfort. They are so fair with their customers! We took our Hyundai there to have diagnostic testing. It was found that the car needed a very expensive part replaced. We were quoted a price for Auto Clinic to do the replacement. We asked if they could let us know if the car had enough life in it to make the new part worth installing. They looked at the car and they found that what was going on with our car should not have happened at the cars mileage. They suggested that we should take it to the dealer. They did not charge us anything for what they did for us. I am recommending their service to everyone.
One of best places to go get your car repaired or oil change. Been going here for about 5 years and always the best service. Worth the drive from Joliet to Frankfort. Been to other places but not as good as Auto Clinic.
My family, the Trotter family, have been loyal customers for many years not just because the Auto Clinic has the fairest, most honest mechanics but also because of the kindness they've shown us. My experience here was terrible.2008 mercury mariner I had got installed a used engine from this place and the daughter wrote on my receipt 3 year warranty. When I took it back to for a check engine light, the older lady, I believe is the owner said no, no warranty on use parts.
I have my receipt when the daughter with blonde hair at the time wrote that and told me that.
If something isn't working you would look for the problem that cause the issue. No they didn't. I was charged 3000 for an engine that still had problems.
A month goes by and the headers go out. If they replace the engine you would think they would switch Everything that goes to the engine.
No they didn't. Plus the engine still needed oil gaskets and oil pressure etc
Charge me 1000 for the gasket and 1700 for headers.
With ford vehicles you need yellow or gold coolant in the resvoir. They put red coolant.
Nothing but constant problems with this mechanic place.
It's a family friend shop that my father in-law knows of. They just take our money and don't do the correct work.
I took it recently to a mechanic in forest park and what ever frankfort auto clinic claim to do on my vehicle they didn't do it. I am getting the vehicle fix again because of what frankfort auto clinic claim to do but didnt.
They take advantage of people and jut takes your money.
Do not go here.
My family and I have been bringing our cars to Auto Clinic for over 30-years. They know what there doing and the prices are very fair. They go way out of there way to get the job done quickly.
I just had my front brakes replaced at Auto Clinic!! They did a great job and my car was finished in 1hour 20 minutes. Wow I’m impressed!! I took my car to the dealership for them to look at the brakes and they said I needed front and back brakes. Lo and behold Auto Clinic said I didn’t need back brakes as I still have 50% left before they need to be replaced!! That tells you that you cannot trust dealerships but you can trust Auto Clinic!! I’ll be back for my back brakes!!
Awesome place, nice people, fair prices. They're not going charge you an obscene price. For example, they drilled out a broken bolt for the clamp that holds the battery and put a new one in for 10 bucks. They also replaced my flex pipe for $180 when other places told me it was more than double the price.

I’ve tried several other shops or dealerships and they are always trying to upsell or give me things i don’t need because I am a female. I am so grateful to have found the auto clinic to take care of my family cars, and not feel bullied into things that my car doesn’t need! Five Star – here’s why. Auto Clinic is in my neighborhood. Early 2023 I dropped my car off for exhaust repair work. Auto Clinic mechanics directed me back to the dealer as this was likely a warranty issue. (Turns out it WAS, so this repair cost me nothing.) March 2024 during regular service my Kia dealer reported I needed new brakes all around IMMEDIATELY (and quoted a very high fee). Decided I should go back to Auto Clinic – again they declined the work telling me I wouldn’t need brake replacement for months. They were right. September 2024 I DID need brake work, Auto Clinic did the job at a way better price. It was a quick and easy, hassle-free experience, thanks to Kayla and the team at Auto Clinic. Highly recommend.
This place is a rip off!! They told me I needed a radiator hose, alternator , new battery so many others things that I didn’t add up so they said they wanted 1500$ for thoses minor work then they said customers can’t buy their own parts so I said “hell no” I took it to another mechanic and my car just needed a battery and a 5 minute radiator replacement and another shop charged me 300$ for everything while this place wanted to charge 1,500$ it’s weird lame and devious trying to finesse. BE AWARE GET SCAMMED IF YALL LIKE. ..The front desk lady Kayla is nice but y’all still rip off ..someone being nice is covering up the motive. They gonna charge y’all 1,500$ just for a battery like how did they me
The Auto Clinic has been so helpful and Kayla has been amazing! She is so friendly and knowledgeable and will always make time to help me out in a pinch. I’ve had a couple of issues with my Volkswagen recently and she has squeezed me in both times I needed an “emergency” check up! Highly recommend 😊
Went for second option on my jeep because I went for an oil change at bettenhausen and they said I had a $2400 leak. Went to auto clinic and they said my jeep is absolutely fine with no leak. Very honest people working here, will go to them from now on for anything I need.
Jean as well as the mechanics were extremely thorough on making sure my car was running great! Originally came in because my brakes were squeaking a little bit. Thought I needed new brake pads but after a close inspection Jean explained that I still had well over 60% of my brake pads still left and it would be a waste of money to replace so soon. My family and I have been going here for years! Highly recommended! Thanks Auto Clinic!
Seems like a good business. I had inquired about getting an oil change as I heard such great things about this shop. I was told I could come by in the afternoon the day before. Before heading over I called and was told that in fact they couldn’t do an oil change in the afternoon. I will try them out again in the future and update this review.

Always trustworthy. I have been here several times with several cars. Same for my children. I've arrived several times with issues and they told me the cost and provided options that would essentially cost them some business. They were more interested as advocating on my behalf instead of selling me services. Honesty and integrity - very satisfied with the quality of work and their turnaround. As a business owner, it is exactly the way I prefer to do business myself and I've always found that earning a customers trust and loyalty is always better for everyone than a getting a quick buck.
This place is simply the best around. From the counter workers to the mechanics Auto Clinic is filled with honest and respectful employees. They won’t try to upcharge you and their prices are amazing. Chances are you’ll have your vehicle back the next day and it will be riding smooth. I don’t know much about cars so I have to rely on what they tell me and they’re always correct and cheaper than probably any other certified car repair shop. I can pretty much guarantee you’ll be happy you got serviced their. I’m actually surprised they have a couple non 5 star reviews. Just proves to me that you really can’t please everybody.
