Zero stars Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Repossession Process and Vehicle I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding my recent experience with your company following the repossession of my vehicle on August 1, 2025, at approximately 7:30 PM. For nearly a week, I made multiple attempts to recover my vehicle, but I was repeatedly given conflicting information. I was told: The vehicle had not yet been coded in the system. First, I contacted the Stockbridge, GA Police Department to locate the truck. So, it was coded SOMEWHERE. Despite my persistence, the vehicle did not show up in your system until Wednesday, August 6, by which time I was unable to retrieve it the same day and had to wait even longer. I had the payment ready by Friday, and I made every effort to resolve the matter quickly. While I acknowledge that my account was past due, I expected to be treated with professionalism and respect throughout the process. Instead, I was met with delays, poor communication, and ultimately, damage to my vehicle. When I finally retrieved the truck from ABS Automotive in Douglasville, GA, ( your location),I discovered: 1)A cut line under the left side of the vehicle. 2)The rear window was open, allowing rainwater to enter, resulting in a moldy odor. The window does not stay closed, as the latch or holder has been damaged or removed. I have attached photos and video evidence of the damage for your review. I am extremely disappointed with how both I and my property were treated. Financial hardship is never easy. I do not believe repossession should result in physical damage to my vehicle or emotional stress caused by unclear processes and unhelpful guidance. I do not appreciate someone coming onto MY and breaking into my truck and taking it away as if it were their’s. You do not have that right and consider yourself very lucky that you were a sneaky snake. I respectfully request a formal investigation into this matter and a clear explanation of what actions your company will take to remedy the damage and address the service failures I experienced. Please respond at your earliest convenience.

Thank you so much for taking care of my son very late on a Sunday night! Obviously he needed the help and was far from home. I could not hope for more kindness in a typically unkind world.

ABS responded quickly and picked up our car on I-20 with no issues. Their rate was very reasonable. I highly recommend them.

I called ABS Towing Monday afternoon, December 30, 2024 and received an estimate to tow my niece's car. After confirming that the car could be put into neutral, I called later that same day around 4 PM and left a message that the car could be put into neutral and I would like to have it toowed the following day, if possible. No one returned my call. I then called on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, and left a message asking if I could get it towed on Thursday, January 2, 2025. I also called Thursday morning and left another message but no one returned my calls. I then called this morning, Friday, January 3 and left another message, but no one has called me back. My dad was a loyal ABS customer before he passed away. He would be very disappointed about what appears to be their decline. Scott M.

I had been going to this shop for 2 years and everything was fine until I had my car towed to the shop Aug. 21, 2024. I spoke with Scott the assistant the very next day and told him I have a warranty which I’m sure they already knew because of my previous work being done from the same shop. I also told him some issues that was going on with the car. He said okay we will check it out and get back to you. So on August 27, 2024 I called just to check on my car because I had not heard anything from anyone from the shop. Upon calling I was told Scott went on vacation and they were still trying to figure out what was wrong with my car. So August 30, 2024 I decided on my lunch break I would go up there and let them see my face and ask what is the update on my car it’s going on 2 weeks and I haven’t heard anything about it. When I went in the shop I was told by either a younger son or Nephew that they couldn’t figure out what it is that was wrong and I said well why haven’t anyone called me and said that? His response was “MAYBE HE FORGOT” I’m like forgot??? And it’s been almost 2 weeks and my car is just sitting here! So he goes on to say well your going to have to get it towed to the dealership! Not only that they took a part off my car and didn’t put it back after not being able to figure out what was wrong with my car!

I appreciate and thank ABS for taking care of my vehicle. Lamar was nothing but nice towards me & my family, even when he didn’t have to be. If I lived here locally he’d definitely have my business because he’s fair & honest when it comes to business; which is rare these days.

The guy that towed my car was great , very nice ! And my service with ABS automotive was quick ! HOWEVER the receptionist guy was VERY RUDE ! But the owner was nice overall ! But service so far was 8/10 ! Will update review if I have any problems with the service they provided which was replacing my starter .

I had a vehicle towed today and the driver David was amazing not only did he make me laugh the entire ride? He could sense that I was in distress at work about my vehicle it was very comforting too know that he was worried about me and my car the customer service guy was being very rude to me and when David saw this he actually step in and not even five minutes later I got an apology and my call was The service lane I don’t know what he said to the service guy, but it was handled very respectfully and I appreciate it

I would highly recommend this place, my F-150 was running rough and threw a check engine code, dropped it off and they called with a diagnosis within 24 hrs of it being there. They gave me an estimate and repaired it with OEM parts for exactly what they quoted me, and repaired it within 2 days (had to wait on parts). Picked up truck and its running great again, then the owner checked on me and the truck 2 weeks later to make sure i was satisfied. They also gave me a warranty on the work that was completed.

Incredibly grateful for the guys here at ABS. We had a bit of an emergency in the middle of a long road trip, and they managed to squeeze us in despite how busy they were. They were super friendly, kind, and considerate (and quick!). Lamar and the other gentleman at the desk who took care of us are great guys. Definitely come here!

Tavon was wonderful. He assured me that ABS would take great care of me and they did. Mr. Lamar and his staff were professional. They were able to quickly diagnose the issue and provide me feedback. I highly recommend this company.

Tavon the tow man was so awesome, he came very quickly to pick up me and my car to get me out of the heat! Lamar worked on my car right away! First time here, recommend this place to everyone.

Had a wonderful experience. Dropped my car off and it was ready the next day. They kept me updated on the status of my repair all the way through. The best part was the price. I didn’t have to take out a loan to get my car repaired. Will be bringing my vehicle back for all service work from here on out.

Ok so I took my car here to have some electrical work done on my car when I came to pick it up and made it to the house my radio and lights didn't work so I call to tell them something was not right took it back to them and when I came back to get it they charged me $125 and said I need a alternator so I had to have my car towed from they shop because it wouldnt start and I was not about to pay them another dime because I really believe they messed some up on my car. I didn't drive it because I had another car and was waiting until I could get it fix. I got the alternator fix and my car still would stay crank with a boost off. When I drove it after getting the alternator fix the car drive like it wanted to cut off so I was heading back home but before I made it the car cut off and caught fire. I just know they fukd up on my car even my mechanic said it's looks like a wiring issue that cause the problem(fire) now I'm out of a car I hate I ever went to this place. What it's going to cost to fix might as well buy another one smdh. Be Aware!

Was having issues with my cars brakes ( master cylinder went out) had it towed by ABS to ABS to be diagnosed. Lamar was quick to get on top of things and let us know what the problem was! Had it fixed with excellency by the shop and now my cars brake system is better than before! Definitely will use them for any other car issues going forward & my husband and I highly recommend them.

When my radiator blew, Lamar and team did a great job getting my Honda Element repaired and on the road. She has been running great ever since! Thank you for quality work at a reasonable price.

My vehicle was towed to this mechanic after breaking down 3 hours from home and 2 hours from my destination. I was alone with my young son in an unsafe area, stranded. Too many mechanics would have taken advantage of this situation and gouged me, but not ABS. Their tow truck driver was amazing. When he found out where we were, he called me to let me know he was on the way (not in the 90-120 minutes I was quoted by my roadside assistance), and when he showed up, he was so kind and helpful, and made my son feel like we were just having a fun adventure. At the shop, they put our repair ahead of the others they were working on, and ended up replacing the radiator in about two hours, and charged about half of what Google said the going rate should be. They turned a terrible situation completely around, and I am so grateful. A couple of days later, they even texted me to make sure we made it home and everything was good. These are truly good people, and I can't recommend them highly enough.

I have trusted ABS for a few years and got great service for years. I am uncertain what change in management but I drop my car off at 3:30pm. I was told they would get to it the next day. I called the next day to see what was the results, only to be told that they would not be able to get to it until two weeks without even looking at the car. I was so disappointed as I could have dropped off somewhere else. Honesty is everything with me and customer service.

My vehicle was towed to another repair shop to diagnose the engine. Unfortunately, the garage had no space to host my vehicle. The tow driver was communicative with me and checked with his host shop (ABS) to verify there was space to hold the vehicle for repair. Mind you, I live in San Diego. Fast forward, come to find out the engine was not cracked and the shop called me to inform me that they will refund me $3200. A place that lacked ethics could have walked away and I would not have known anything different. This was a major score and speaks highly of the ethics of the ABS staff. I highly recommend ABS Automotive & Towing.

My son's Chrysler PT Cruiser started stalling out and intermittently shutting off while he was driving. I was afraid the car would stop while he was driving in heavy traffic. I took the car to another shop which I won't name and they had the car for weeks, when I got the car back it was still shutting off and the problem even got worse. I must say I'm reluctant about trusting a auto repair shop I hadn't done previous business with or at least having a friend or relative that's done business with them. I reluctantly took my car to ABS. I explained the problem and I explained there had been a lot of new parts thrown at the problem in an attempt to repair it. I dropped the car off and a day and half later I got a call saying the car was repaired and ready for me to pick up. After I picked up the car and drove it, I was expecting the fantom problem to rear it's ugly head again. I was pleasantly surprised the car ran great. A day or so later to my surprise I received a text message from the shop owner wanting to know if I had any issues with any of the repairs that were made. He said if I have any issues to let him know. It's rare to find a qualified repair shop and even rarer to find one that has excellent customer service. Most companies today don't understand the concept "without great service there won't be any customers". Thanks ABS for a job well done

I appreciate the employees for what they do by providing me with excellent and timely service. I appreciate seeing the smile on their faces. My vehicle shut down on me, it was raining and their location was convenient. My vehicle was ready within the hour as the technician stated. The owner texted me to inquire about the service I received. I appreciate the owner's concern of my vehicle and myself. I always take my vehicles to ABS, I trust them to provide me with quality service. Thank you ABS.

This shop has consistently diagnosed and repaired my vehicles correctly the first time. I am a long time customer of over 20 years and feel it is my duty to recommend ABS and save others from being ripped off by misdiagnosis of other local shops. Friends talk and I have sent many people to ABS automotive once they have been taken elsewhere. I had to use their towing service this most recent time and they were fast friendly and efficient. Very fast, quality work at a fair price. Had a main brake line replaced on a my car. I had it towed in on a Tuesday after closing time, and they had it up and ready to go midday on Thursday. Lamar even messaged me a few days later to make sure everything with the car was working well. I’ll definitely use them again and send friends and family to them.
