You will spend more in gas money than they will give you for your items. It is not worth the visit and the items they have for sale on the floor is not like new at all. I brought in items that still had tags on, never worn and they only took my adidas for ($9) It was an absolute waste of time!

Wayyyyyy to picky for me. I'm never going there again, it was a total waste of my time. The items I had was good quality stuff, and in good condition. Two pairs of puma shoes, and some good quality shirts, and a puma backpack. Out of everything I took up there The only thing they took, was the puma backpack, and they gave me $4 bucks for that. I'll give my unwanted stuff away before I take another hour bus for nothing. I'm good....

Always a good find! Good quality items, clean, some almost like new or with tags still on. Highly recommend!

Bought a gift card for my granddaughter. I only recently learned Plato's Closet has stores in other states aside from Florida.

Very organized and easy to find what you need and usually have what you need and good prices on quality clothing and shoes along with excellent service from employees.

I took in gently used purses and dress shoes to sell to Plato’s Closet, but I didn’t actually shop. I did look around a bit, though, and they have quite a lot on offer. This was my first time going to this store, and I didn’t realize before going that they market primarily to teens and young adults. They only took a few of the purses I had and none of the shoes, and I was disappointed not to have sold more of my stuff. I asked the clerk if there was any problem with the shoes or if they don’t sell larger sizes (I apparently now wear a women’s size 13-1/2 or 14, and I was purging the size 13s that are now too tight), and they said there wasn’t any problem; they just seemed to be for a more mature woman, and that is definitely accurate. I’d only been to a Plato’s Closet one other time in a different city. I was with my sister, and she took in purses, wallets and shoes. They bought everything she had, and she made nearly $200! I was absolutely amazed, and maybe that’s why I clearly didn’t notice their market is teens and young adults! Duh. My bad! ?

If you make a large purchase here, they will hide your clothes behind the counter. After they ring you up, they will distract you with discounts. After that, they will then fail to give you the clothes you bought, and see if you realize they have kept your clothes. Don't make large purchases here, only buy whatever you can keep track of; because they refuse to give you access to your account, and just keep asking 'do you have the receipt', even though they track you through your phone number.

I would like to say SHOUT OUT to the manager here as of 9/29/2024 you make the environment here comfortable for everyone and I really appreciate that. This is a great place to shop followed you guys from the plaza to here(new plaza ) and I appreciate the great customer service and good vibes you bring here????.FOR EVERYONE much appreciated ????

This place is a literal joke - never going to any platos closet ever again. All of my clothing is current and very good condition or worn once. They told me the clothes are on current style and wouldn't take anything. Their racks were TERRIBLE and overpriced for awful items i honestly found NOTHING to buy there besides shoes. Thanks for nothing platos closet.

Always good finds but as far taking items to be sold is a joke you get bare minimum. I wished they offered more in store credit since I get great things from there. Staff is very quiet.

Hidden gem . Clean store, color coded selections, polite staff. In my opinion, their inventory had less holes and stains than some of the other Plato's in the area--which is a testament to the staff's attention to detail. Also, their Dollar clearance sales are a steal--If you can catch one. Sometimes ends up being a better deal than the 90% off clearance deals at some of the other locations, depending what you're looking for. Don't get me wrong--I still love and and am grateful for all the other Platos too!!!! Very thankful for this franchise!!

I helped my friend bring in 2 big box fulls of clothes. I don't feel like they really looked thru all the stuff we brought in. There were some brand new (still had tags in them), good quality, name brand items and they were like "nothing, things are too worn". Like for real, because these still have tags on them and were never worn so...not sure how that's possible. The store was clean and organized but they weren't much help to us.

I have been to a couple of Plato's Closets over the years after moving to Florida. It never disappoints. If my daughter (20 years ago) and my granddaughter (4 days ago) were and are excited to shop at a second hand store and delighted with their purchases back then and still to this day you know it's a great place to shop. Both have found items to fill out their wardrobes along with one of a kind pieces that are easy on my wallet. They are happy and so am I ❣️

Been to multiple stores in Florida and customer service is terrible. THEY'RE RUDE, UNFRIENDLY, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE, UNPROFESSIONAL. If they're not happy with their job or pick and choose who to be COURTEOUS to, QUIT. I'd rather have my daughter shop at PLATOS for me in IOWA and my niece shop in TENNESSEE and wait for it by mail.Their experiences is always PLEASANT ....

Almost every time I go in they take probably like 20%. And the pricing isn’t accurate. I brought an MK purse with no marks and they gave me $5. I bring clothes in good shape (jeans, Basic T’s, teenager clothing) and they never take anything. Some of the staff won’t take your clothing just because it’s not their style.

Good selection which differs each time you visit so if you can't find what you're looking for, come back in a few weeks to check again. Prices vary from reasonable to a bit high for low-end brands. In terms of selling your own gently used clothing to the store, they are strict on only accepting in-season current trends, which is completely understandable, just be prepared. Payouts are reasonable as well. I am excited to return soon.

If I'm being honest, Plato's Closet isn't really my cup of tea, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't come her eeihter. The times I've been there are very nice. There's a diverse amount of selections, so I'm sure I'll eventually find some clothes regardless. The employees are so nice and laid back too!

Plato’s Closet St. Pete is my favorite store in St. Pete by far, it doesn’t compare to any stores I go to. The clothes are trendy, cute and so affordable! They sell all kinds of sizes and they have such a variety of clothes and brands. I love to switch my style sometimes and I can find everything I need at Plato’s. I could go from girly to sporty or chic to casual with the variety of clothes they have. My boyfriend and I could also just go to the store together and find nice clothes for the both of us. I like that the store sells slightly used second hand clothes rather then me going to a department store that is involved in fast fashion. I’ve been shopping at Plato’s for several years now and I absolutely love it!

I love having a local place to be able to buy and sell. This location has the friendly staff and is very clean. I always feel welcomed into the store regardless if I am there to buy or sell. I recently had family in from out of town and they asked about our Plato’s so I took them. They loved it, they ended up getting 10 very nice name brand clothing for around 100$. This store is highly recommended and I will continue to refer my friends and family

I absolutely love everything about platos!! There is just the right amount of variety and it is the perfect option for second hand clothing. I’ve never had a problem with platos, ever! The atmosphere is great and the clothing is clean not to mention the prices are perfect. They not only have second hand clothing options but shoes, jewelry, purses and more:))

What a great Plato’s. There always clean and definitely not one that seems “dirty”. I enjoy going to this one even though there’s one right next to my house. This Plato’s is a lot more friendlier and helpful then the other Plato’s near my house. I enjoy going here as well to get a good price on clothes! Thank you Plato’s of st Pete!

This place is a joke! Yesterday was my second time going to this store and I will never be back! The staff is not very friendly and almost carry this snooty type attitude, which is comical because this place reminds me of a Thrift Shop! The store is very cluttered and items on the racks are not in the best of shape. However, I wasn't there to shop. I brought in a very large bag of new (with tags) and very gently used name brand clothes. They didn't keep a single item (second time this has happened). My husband had the same issue a few years back as well. They are EXTREMELY critical of the clothes they will take, which I can't understand judging by the items in the store! Anyway, if you have clothes to get rid of, I would strongly suggest trying to sell online or donate to Good Will...Anyone who would appreciate them because this store clearly does not!

I've been to several Plato's Closet stores in Florida and in Pennsylvania, and this store on Tyrone Blvd, St. Petersburg, is by far the best one! From the minute I walked in the staff,, Kim and James , made me feel welcome and comfortable.. They were helpful without being pushy , and were very knowledgeable about the merchandise. They had a lot of top brands at really AMAZING prices! Most of it looked brand new, and all of it was in excellent condition. For me, when in the mood for a fashion fix, this is the Plato's Closet I will definitely shop at!!!

This is the nicest Plato's Closet I've been to! The store is very clean and organized, and the clothes are not old or dingy looking. They went through my clothes extremely fast which I appreciated, and the two people working were also really nice. I'll definitely be back!

So I just flew in from Texas and I went to multiple Plato's Closets around the Tampa area and out of all the stores I visited this store was hands down the best store. It is extremely organized and the staff did a great job at making me feel welcome and helping me find what I was looking for. All of the clothes in the store were really cute and in style. Also, the prices weren't high at all compared to all of the surrounding stores. This store was actually the first store that took my appreciation/stamp card when all of the other stores didn't. I'm a manager at a Plato's Closet and I couldn't have got better service than I did at this store. Keep up the great work I will definitely be back! :)
