Yeah, if I could write a zero stars, I would this by far has been the worst company or people I have ever in my life dealt with or spoke to. They are extremely extremely rude and when I say extremely, I mean, I do not understand how this business is still up and running Not only that I couldn’t even get them to answer when they had took my car. Oh, I’m sorry stole my car because even after I had to let them know that I was there with my car and I have an insurance tow which I have a note in my window as well as I’m sitting with my car saying I’m waiting for my insurance tow company he still hooked up and proceeded to then ask for a drivers license so he could quickly Drive away with my car and then proceeds to tell me that he was already hooked up so then not answer a phone for two days so he could charge me more not only. Did he hang up on my insurance company or not answer my insurance company’s phone calls so they could pay for what had happened. I finally get to pick up my car five days later of dealing with them and this to then get my car back with the whole left side being completely scratched and paint is chipped off and when I call him to ask him what had happened, he says that that was already there even though it definitely wasn’t there because I have had this car less than a month and I have pictures of my car as well and I asked him to provide me with the pictures that he had he has and he couldn’t provide me with those, but is claiming that those were there This place is honestly absolutely ridiculous and they need to be reported to the Better Business Bureau .

What a complete scam, you get your car towed and willing to pay but they ate close and they don't pick up the phones Because you get tow after hours but they don't open after 6:00 pm , of course of you leave you car overnight it will be an extra charge. The staff claim they are following an Estate Law cant release to you , your rental car even with the documents in hand. They wont talk the car rental company, because we can be scammers , who is scamming? my daughter graduation celebration ruin by a fishy business practice. $250 per car more that 30 cars in the parking lot. You do the math, i think they need investigation about this cash business ripping off customers .o hope they don't damage the rental car and we get charge towing charges and damaged.

Predatory is an understatement… I was attending Sat.night pop-up type event and parked next to another car on the side of the road in front of their business. It was dark and the no parking sign was in no way visible. I was 30 minutes max… came back and the car next to me was still there and mine was gone… towed! Behind the locked gates… ! When I called and asked why the car next to me wasn’t towed he said that belonged to the business… bold faced form of entrapment… so pissed!! 150 bucks later…. Never ever ever ever…this place is bad juju

Incident 01/10/25 Was not able to find parking went around area to look for a parking in 305 DR MLK JR ST ST PETERSBURG, while making a amazon delivery at this address and it took less then 3 minutes to make this delivery at this building , while making this delivery my girlfriend was in the car waiting for me with the emergency lights on and the car was on there was not a sign to indicate and that i was park in a fire line and this Company SKY WAY was very unprofessional and negligent tried towing the car WHILE MY GIRLFRIEND WAS IN THE CAR did not have the aducity to knock on the window nor check to see if SOMEONE WAS IN THE CAR AND THE CAR WAS ON my girlfriend came out the car and yelled what are you doing and the guy said you need to move the car in a rude way he did not expect that she was in the car my girlfriend called me right away but as soon as I came out he was already gone he knew what he did was unlawful and jump in his car and fleed he was GOING TO TOW THE CAR WITH MY GIRLFRIEND IN THE CAR , I want to let all the delivery drivers and the public know that they dont offer safe parking for simple amazon drivers that are working hard making there money to be alert about companies like this that are affiliated with this apartment buildings with the only intention is harm workers like us , that don't recieve the respect that we deserve like everyone else that works in this line of work . SO BE AWARE!

No option for a Zero star. Predatory towing. I was towed from a lot on Saturday the 14th and it cost me $162.00 CASH! $15.00 mileage charge and it was towed less than a mile. I walked to pick it up. The driver was so rude! I asked him if he hid and watched and he said “He drove by.” Literally 25 open parking spots, clearly not taking anyone’s place. The lot he towed it to was so sketchy. I even asked if the business was legit and he replied “common sense would tell you it is. I’d like to know, does the owner of the lot so was towed from get any portion of this obscene towing charge? Completely a predatory and cash-only scam!!

Bs towed my dad's car out of a handicap soot ( he has a valid handicap placker and it was visible) from a bank parking lot. His card would not work at the ATM, So while he was on the phone with the bank he started walking walked around the block which the bank was on, returned and his car was gone. Did I mention it was 9:30 at night and not another car was parked in this bank's parking lot at the time.. this is a scam. All they're doing is driving around downtown St Pete looking for any reason to tow someone. And no matter what you say or do you don't leave without paying $163.

Absolute predators. They towed my car in literally 4 minutes while I was inside a dispensary. Not only that but now my truck has a vibration while braking at 65-70mph. Small claims court suit incoming.

SCAMMERS!!! BEWARE OF PREDATORY TOWING. There’s one star just because is mandatory for leaving the review. This people just charged 100 dollars cash for not towing a car from a place where it was allowed to park. They watch you leaving the car and then try to tow it away even if the car is legally parked. This is also a form of scam and they are doing it everyday. This just happened in St Pete, FL

They illegally towed two cars that were parked legally and then charged over $200 to release the vehicle … let’s talk scammer. Plus the police AND the fire inspector were right there stating that the towed vehicles we not parked illegally. Im sure that the driver of the tow truck heard them. All of the neighbors heard it. Skyway just decided to tow these vehicles. How many other vehicles has this company taken illegally… basically a theft occurred here in Gulfport right under the noses of the police

Predatory practicing and rude. He towed my car from the Publix parking garage the night before hurricane Milton and moved it to a LOW-LYING street level area! When I called to discuss, the owner wouldn't even give his name after I repeatedly asked. I'm so disappointed that this is a functioning business person operating in St. Petersburg.

These guys are legit criminals. I was parked in my gyms parking lot and they towed me and charged. No one from my gym called to have me towed. They did it because and I quote “I know what cars park here” also “no one goes to work out in their work van” these guys are crooks and sadly there’s nothing you can do. You just feel sad for the individuals who work there and take money from innocent people with no recourse. They’re printing money.

Yesterday was one of those no name storms that comes in fast and a ton of rain. Flooding everywhere. My sons car stalled and we thought it was flooded. I was recommended to call Skyway towing and the gentleman that helped me (Hendrick) was courteous, professional and sympathetic. He came this morning to pick up the vehicle and he took the time to look over the car and from his experience and knowledge determined that the car was not flooded, it just probably stalled. That was the case and all is good. Thank you Hendrick. I appreciate your professionalism and kindness.

In the process of moving apartments they began towing the Jeep I was using. I begged the guy to take it off the truck and he still demanded I pay $167. All he had to do was lower the ramp. The Jeep was not even attached by cables. $167? It’s literally robbery. I handed him $180 cash and he attempted to leave with my change. Afterwards they circled back and attempted to tow MY car. From MY APARTMENT in the middle of my MOVE. I will not let this go. Evil company with evil representatives who take joy in ruining people’s day. I need to figure out how to get my money back. It’s simply inhumane to treat people like this

I’ve never had such a horrible tow experience, he insulted a veteran right in front of me and showed no humanity. Nobody likes getting towed and I was nice and payed my dues but he was not only rude to me but the veteran he illegally towed- insulted his car, told him to learn how to read, and said the only reason he got his car back is his service. I hope the man who runs this place gets something good in his life because his negativity is infectious and there is no reason to treat people the way he did.

Called at 9:15 pm told him that my son was stuck on 275 with his boat trailer bearings out. Dante gave me a price (1/2 of others) and said that he could be there in 20 minutes. My son was 13 miles away from the location. Dante made it and was professional and very kind and made sure my son made it home with his boat in tow safely. I would highly recommend Skyway!

Listen, no one likes it when their car gets towed. I sure did not. However, Kendrick here did help us a lot. There was a glitch in the park mobile app, so park mobile is looking into it. However, Kendrick was understanding and kind, and even helped us out with an issue with the car that was NOT their responsibility, at all. If I need a tow in the future, or god forbid we get towed again, hope we get Kendrick.

Predatory!!!! My car was taken out of MY space at my office today without even so much as a phone call. I am the one who is supposed to report someone in my spaces! WTH? Amazing. I paid for specific signage in my spaces, I am a tenant in good standing and have multiple vehicles. So incredibly upsetting, a huge inconvenience and all around just bad business by this business. All we got was empty excuses from this company.

When I think of the man at this tow shop one word comes to mind: miserable. He was extremely rude, sassy and horrible. He tried to make me give him my card through the fence for him to charge it for the tow in his “office”. I called the police over to help and he wouldn’t even cooperate with them. What do you have back there hostages?? I ended up getting cash for him and he was filming me this time. He was all the sudden sooo nice! Yes sir I’m sure you make a lot of money taking peoples cars away but I would never want your job because I can’t imagine making a living off of screwing people over and ruining their day. Congratulations you are the worst part of everyone you encounters day. Enjoy your dirty money.

Staying with our son at his apartment complex. Parked my car near the visitor parking in a parking garage.. came out in the morning and my car was gone! Thinking it was stolen, went to apartment leasing center and they had no idea that this company was in their complex towing vehicles. The towing company is supposed to let them know when cars and what cars are being towed. No warning as they are supposed to give. Called the guy and he was rude. Arrived at his company and the gate closed and locked. Had to ca him to come outside. Took our credit card and was bragging about how he had towed 2 other cars and was holding them for ransom..the rude guy told my husband that he would've towed his truck had it not had a handicapped sticker on it!! What a rotten way to scam people of their hard earned money!!!!!

They towed our company vehicle over the weekend. when it wasn't supposed to be enforce at the construction site for a few weeks but told us we had to pay in person but then took payment over the phone. He was incredibly rude for no reason. we were trying to get some more information and when he answered he told my employee I'm taking my kid to school and hung up. there are other company's that can enforce towing use them.

Firstly I will admit my fault, I parked in a tow away zone, the most egregious of crimes. For a grand total of two minutes (no exaggeration, if anything an over estimation) I was parked in a parking lot that was a tow away zone. In the time it took me to walk into the restaurant and pick up my to go order which was waiting for me on the counter and walk back to my vehicle it was gone. Where did I park? That was my first thought. I know I parked here but how could it be gone in under two minutes? Stolen? By who I wondered. Indeed it was stolen, but in the eyes of today’s sad societal constructs it was stolen legally. Taken for ransom by Skyway Towing and Recovery, I suppose my gripe is more so with the modern age and it’s greasy gears turning for the soul purpose of squeezing any little bit of hope for humanity out of its victims. I’m disappointed in the way of the world. Leave your car unattended for two minutes on the wrong spot of earth and it can often lead to a ruined end to a relatively bleak day. I’m disappointed that there are people in this world that are quite content with making a living off of other peoples misfortunes. No, the people employed at Skyway Towing and Recovery are not the only people on earth that have no issue with this, there are unfortunately many, many more. These are the people that I avoid at all costs. Unfortunately they wiggle their way into my life from time to time despite my wary ways. They were no doubt lying in wait for their next $140 on that evening that they took my vehicle. I will give credit where credit is due, they are masters of hooking up a vehicle and driving away with it, springing into action the moment you turn your back. There’s no way to prove it but I can just about guarantee that they were surveilling the lot, which I’m not sure is legal, but I am very sure that it is morally unsound. The sad fact is that humans in general will stop at nothing and give no second thought when there is money to be grabbed with their fat, greedy fingers. I only wish that I had been towed by a more reputable towing company that didn’t operate out of some sketchy back ally that wreaks of the rotten dystopia that is today’s American society. If the employees of Skyway Towing and Recovery do in fact read these reviews (a far stretch to assume this I’m sure) I do hope they consider this review a wake up call, and perhaps gain a desire to do something of purpose and meaning with their lives.

My boyfriend had his truck towed this afternoon. We forgot to pay the parking pass for a lot in downtown St. Pete so we were disappointed but not entirely surprised by the incident. When my boyfriend simply called to ask when someone would be at the tow lot to let him in, the person over the phone immediately had an attitude and was condescending on top of that. Overall the experience was more painful than necessary due to the lack of any semblance of customer service skills these workers may possess. Also the fact that they need to take your card inside to “document it” only to process your payment at your car is just plain sketchy.

Our car was towed from the Bandit Coffee parking lot at ~8pm on the night of 8/10/2022. When we arrived at Skyway Towing ~9pm the gate was locked. When the operator (who told me his name was Kendrick, listed on the receipt as driver #D) arrived he was visibly agitated. He tried to take our credit card and license through the gate and wouldn’t let us in to inspect our vehicle (a violation of Florida’s state statute 715.07(9)). After asking to be let onto the property, the employee started yelling and cussing at us and attempting to leave the property telling us to “call the PD.” He closed his truck door on me multiple times. Eventually, we allowed him to take the card and license inside the property. We paid the fee, signed for our vehicle without being allowed to inspect it, and left the property. ~30 minutes later the employee called us from his personal phone, accusing me of stealing property (the lock from the gate) threatening to call the police, trying to extort the money for the lock, and telling me to “enjoy the night in jail.” It was a scary experience. I called the SPPD, filed a complaint with the BBB, filed a complaint with the Pinellas County Consumer Protection agency, and contacted Bandit Coffee to let them know of my experience with their contracted towing vendor. I urge anyone else reading these reviews who had a similar experience to do the same. Overall, getting towed is never pleasant. However the Skyway Towing company is not following Florida state law and being physically and verbally aggressive with customers.

this was a traumatizing experience to say the least... parked in a designated pay to park space, payed for 1hour and was only gone 30 minutes. came back and the car was gone. tried making me pay 140 to get the car back when i already payed to park. to make matters worse; we arrived to demand the car back no one was there. after calling multiple times and waiting 20 minutes, some sketchy guy arrived and asked for proof of payment and bank statements. he acted as if i wasted his time because i didn't pay him a dime. this place seems to only make money off of fraud. do not pay money to these people.

After the starter went out in my car, I needed it towed to the shop. The repair shop recommended Skyway, but after reading the reviews, I was nervous to use them! Turns out, I shouldn't have been. (Then again, most of the negative reviews start with "so I was parked where I shouldn't have been..." so it seems like a lot of people are upset about having to pay for doing something they knew they weren't supposed to.) Sure the guy answering the phone wasn't making any friends with his phone manners, but they arrived within 30 mins and the driver was exceptionally polite and efficient. All in all, I wasn't calling them to be treated like the Queen, I just wanted my car towed quickly by a driver who knew what they were doing. Mission accomplished, would recommend.

Definitely sharks, didn't realize I parked in a private lot (100% my fault) but $140 CASH only once arriving to the lot is extreme for a 3 mile tow. After reading the other reviews it is very evident that this company is absolutely bottom feeders and sharks is putting it nicely. No notification of tow, had to rely on satellite tracking of vehicle to find it, and no paper trail whatsoever. Be aware if you park in St Pete and get told they took the car, I'd have PD and legal council involved immediately as these practices are shady at best
