I had my 65 Mustang fastback shipped to them (from the guy who started the job) with the sheet metal and floor replaced and had them finish it. Top quality work, excellent paint. I had them replace the stock rear and trans with a T5 and a posi. 1st try with a 3:55 locker wasn't what I needed so they swapped it for a 3:25 traction lock (no additional charge). Car runs down the highway at 70 @1900RPM. Had them get rid of my leaky PS steering for an EPS unit. I can turn a dial to zero PS, or up to one finger parking. I also had them add AC which is a must in Florida. You have to pay people if you’re not ready to do the work yourself. It’s not a cheap process but Tubby’s delivered on everything they told me they would. Good people who do good work.

After visiting numerous shops & countless mobile "mechanics ", I finally came across Tubbys. They went through my '72 Charger & found my no start problem instantly. They advised me on a few safety issues but never pressured me into any repairs. Price was fantastic matched only by their quality of work! The entire staff was friendly & extremely helpful, from Jessica to the knowledgeable & highly skilled crew. I am so grateful to have found this amazing place that I can now trust my classic cars to be maintained with honesty & integrity! I can only surmise that negative reviews here are from disgruntled ex-employees or just plain unhappy people. I highly recommend them if you want your classic car taken car of by the absolute best! Thank you Tubbys for letting me cruise again in my classic Mopar, you're the best!!!

Tubby's is awesome and we are fortunate to have them here in our area. They right fixed my '74 Scout II after another mechanic told me he couldn't figure it out and that he wasn't going to make any money on this! From start to finish, we were impressed with the work and reasonable as well. Take your classics to Tubby's, they are THE best!

So Tubby's has a New painter from Chicago that has been kicking ass on getting cars done there. He is amazing so if you need paint work done to your car or bike you need to go see Flowride at Tubby's customs.

I was disappointed with Tubbys. I took my 1973 Nova SS there for a stalling out issue. I agreed to 10 hrs. of labor @ $105/hr, and was to be contacted if the repairs exceeded that price. The receptionist did call me and tell me my car was running great, but my brakes and suspension needed some repairs. I agreed due to the fact there was no mention of extra cost of labor and assumed it was within the 10 hr time-frame. Then one of the mechanics called and said my car was running great, but my harmonic balancer was on it's way out, at that point he said my bill would be $2,34.00. I agreed because if my car really was running great it would be worth it. When I picked up my car I didn't even get out of the parking lot and it stalled out. I assumed it had not been driven much and needed to warm up, this wasn't the case. It broke down on the way home ~2 miles. I had it towed to my house. I let tubbys know the situation and they sent a tow truck to pick it up and "fix it right" . Again I pick it up, they charged me another $315.00 and it began backfiring I immediately parked it, and it wouldn't start back up. I had a friend look at it, he replaced the distributor coil and it's ran like a champ ever since. I went to tubbys to tell them about the situation. They were nice about it, and admitted to a lack of communication. And gave me $400 back, which I appreciate. I don't think they did anything harmful intentional, I think they have way too many different people working on the same car, also there was 2 other cars very similar to mine there. And I think there may have been some confusion because of that as well. So, unfortunately I will not be taking my car back there. If you take your car there, I suggest a written estimate to be signed to allow the work to be done. They are nice people, I wish I had a better experience.

Talented techs but bad owners. Worked really hard here for about two weeks and never got paid. Lots of graveyard cars not getting touched for years here too

Professionals through and through. Attention to detail and technical know how are in abundance here. Tubby's will take your ride in no matter what condition it's in, restore it to showroom quality glory. They restored my 1967 Bronco from the brink of disaster and turned it into a masterpiece.

I had several spots of rust repaired by Tubby's. Prior to the visit, I spoke with them regarding the scope of work, the budget, and the level of finish. Scheduled me for a couple weeks out, was no problem. The work was done about a week quicker than expected and more spots were fixed than I anticipated. Couldn't recommend them enough. I still have a few more areas that need to get taken care of and will be doing so at Tubby's.

Definitely be aware of false reviews. They have no professional techs, horrible paint work. Way way over charged. will lose your parts and claim you didn’t give them correct parts or anything at all. They will 💯 take your money and run. Full of excuses more then Joe Biden. please Please DO not go here.

I had an absolute nightmare of an IROC-Z with a handful of issues. Before I called Tubby's she wasn't in a drivable state, sitting in the garage and not screaming down the streets. I am the third owner of this drop top IROC, but I am the first owner to maintain it. I spoke to Dany on the phone a few times before I brought it in and he was a very knowledgeable and kind gentleman. Almost everything in the engine bay was replaced or fixed. The wiring in the dash had to be redone as well. On top of that my door panel was off and weather stripping missing. They handled all of it. They went absolutely above and beyond to make my Z healthy. Always courteous was the staff when I called. No matter who picked up the call. Although the build and restoration went over budget more than I was expecting I can happily say it was worth it. I've had it back for well over a month, almost two, and she's been my daily driver ever since. No issues, no lights, no squeaks, no rattles, and NO STALLING. Not a single time has the car stalled. I am ecstatic to have my dream car back in driving condition and even happier to know when my next project car runs into some big hiccups, I have a garage I can trust to do high quality and well priced work. All things considered they could have charged me double what I paid - but they didn't. Everyone was just as happy as me that the car was driving. (I know how temperamental the car could be so I'm sure it was a relief for them it was finally GTFO from the shop) Tubbys will always be my first call for major work to my old cars. They treated my car as it was their own and were always transparent with what was going on. Can't recommend this business enough to enthusiasts in over their head or short on time. I'll be back, but hopefully not too often! Thank you guys for your amazing work! Here's to driving like it's 1988 🤙🏼🤘🏼

Great place and the staff is great and the painter name Brett is amazing at what he does. The man can lay paint like no one else. He is very knowledgeable on paint and body work and what has to be done I highly recommend this place if you have custom paint or antique cars that you want done

They have had my husband's Carmen Ghi for over 5 years and its still not done, yet an invoice always comes home when he goes down to check to see if work has been done. They have more excuses that anyone can believe. I would not recommend them to anyone. I have reached the end of my patience and plan to report them to better business bureau.

I took my 1968 mercury cougar to them for routine stuff. Trans leak. Valve covers leaking. And some rust issues all around the car. The paint had dings and some rust showing through. I am kind of mad. Lol. They made my car too nice looking to drive anymore. Great place.

During the past year, I've taken two cars for restoration work. Both are antique Japanese cars, a 1977 Toyota Celica and a 1979 Datsun 280ZX. On both occasions, Tubbys handled both cars in an extremely professional and knowledgeable way. The Datsun was in for cosmetic work, the Toyota for mechanical. While Japanese classic cars aren't overly common, Tubbys knew what to do and were awesome!! My only regret is a higher ranking of five stars is not available!!! I'll be a returning customer......

I took my car to Tubby's for a transmission swap (auto 3 speed out, new 5 speed manual in) and some interior upgrades (new carpet, refurbish console) and a repair of the parking brake. When I picked the car up the carpet wasn't installed properly and the console (after being painted the wrong color) was missing a piece of the new trim that they lost (they put the old piece on, thinking I wouldn't notice- a blind guy at night would have seen it). The car wouldn't idle properly and there was an exhaust rattle when driving (the exhaust came off with the tranny swap) and the parking brake wouldn't work. Not a lot of pride in workmanship here and to make it worse, nobody is checking anything. Zero quality control. I brought it back and left it there for 2 more weeks. When I picked it up again it still wouldn't idle properly, the parking brake still doesn't work......and they tried to charge me an additional $500 (original bill was $3780.00 for labor). I thought "at least the transmission is o.k.". Less than a month (& 100 miles) later the transmission won't go into any gear. I had it towed back to Tubby's and they said it was the clutch master cylinder. The vendor (Modern Driveline) sent them troubleshooting instructions (the new master cylinder rarely fails, usually an improper installation) and Tubby's wanted to charge me 4 hours labor ($300) TO TROUBLESHOOT THEIR OWN INSTALLATION 1 month & 100 miles after they installed it! Another shop did it in less than an hour! This is the kind of place you hear all the nightmare stories about. DON'T TAKE YOUR CAR TO TUBBY'S.....YOU'LL REGRET IT. LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE!

I have been looking for a shop to install a body kit on my car. I decided the best way to do this was drive around with a piece of the kit to show shops and provide pictures of the needed process. It involves taking the nose piece, rear piece, the 2 side skirts off the car. Reinstalling the new pieces that fit directly to the car and adding 2 pieces on the doors. After visiting at least a half a dozen shops I decided to get a quote from this on as I was driving by. I was told they would talk to their vette guy and get back to me. They did. They wanted $8000.00 to do the work. That was an estimate and did not include paint. My opinion would be to shop around.
