Woke up to a dead battery 12/30/2025. After verifying that it was the battery I started looking online for a replacement. Went to O’Reilly website and found a replacement battery that I wanted to purchase. So I had gone to this location since it was only literally 2 blocks away from my house on the same side of the road instead of going to Autozone which is across a busy street that I didn’t want to cross since I was on my electric scooter.
I bring my battery in set it on the counter and was greeted by Gary as he spit his chew juice into a plastic bottle. I let him know that I was on the website and wanted a particular 24 series battery. Year make and model he says as he spits more chew juice out. I give him the specs on the vehicle hoping that it will make the transaction smoother. This is where things get interesting. He shows 3 batteries. Then he starts in on CCA or cold Cranking Amps. I listen to him and politely ask him to please sell me the battery I want that it fits the application for my vehicle. This upset Gary very much. But before I go any further let me say that Gary never asked me any qualifying questions like if I was going to travel outside of Florida, ect. So let me explain what CCA stands for. It’s basically how much power a battery can deliver at 0 degrees. At best he should explain CA which measures the same thing as CCA just at 32 degrees Fahrenheit.
Put a chew in and get educated Gary!
After listening to Gary’s diarrhea at the mouth about CCA in Florida because ya when’s the last time it got down to 0 degrees here in the TampaBay area I have to say 3 times just sell me the battery. Finally he says no warranty! Finally I can get outta here!
I have to say that I have been turning wrenches since the 1980’s and then professionally from the mid 90’s.
I’m almost willing to bet money that he would sell you something like a cam and crank sensor for a foreign vehicle then help you chase down gremlins that are tripping your check engine light because the values on those aftermarket sensors you just installed are not the same as OEM.

I love those guy's, they treat me like a good neighbor , also being kind and presant with part sometimes don't go as planed and there is a return price . But I give them an A and recommend them as well . Bring in all your needed part numbers helps alot,and pictures .
I made 5 trips to this location and each time they staff were helpful and patient with me. Very friendly staff and amazing service! Got a great deal on my battery as well. Thank you so much!!!!
I want to be sure Damon gets the recognition he deserves for helping me with swapping out my battery and staying until the very last minute until closing to be sure I was taken care of while I'm vacationing here in St. Pete.
Went in Friday to get my battery tested , Gary tested it showed me it popped up BAD! He told me battery options and installed the purchased battery too!! He was very helpful thank you Gary!
Horrible!!! Very young men that have no idea what they are talking about. I went there to find a product to refesh my faded anodized chrome moulding. The rep suggested I use blow torch I said, you mean a heat gun....like you might use on faded plastic? He had no answer. I got in my car and went across the street to Auto Zone. I got the answer I needed there. Never again!!
Dave was awesome. He came up to me, inquired about what I was looking for for my Cadillac and brought me to the counter looked up what we needed and because of my funds, I had to put back a couple things and he still ran around the store for me Like a champ, and still had a smile on his face. Shout out to Dave and his Excellent customer service. I felt this guy went above and beyond. Super friendly. Helpful. Knowledgeable. We needed a car battery and he promptly got it changed out and us back on the road. I hope his boss sees this to know he is doing an awesome job!
Needed a battery first thing this morning and O'Reilly took care of me. Jim and the crew got me in and out and back on the road.

Gary is awesome. My car broke down right up the road and he came up the road to jump my car and was able to make sure I could get back to take car of my car issues. He won my business over,.

Stopped at O'Reilly's to pick up a couple quarts of oil and a tag light for my truck, Alex greeted me as I entered as he was on the phone I got my items and went to check out Adam was friendly and fast and I was on my way thank you O'Reilly Auto Parts
This has become my go to parts store. The only thing I don't like is the new younger guy Richard. I really don't want to insult the guy but he is very slow. He is every parts guy meme all rolled into one. All the older dudes been great.
Emanuel put my new wipers on. It was the first time I ever had to buy three of them! It started to thunder and Emanuel didn't even flinch! But I did! But Emanuel put them on in record time and had me back on the road in record time. Thank You Emanuel.
I moved to Florida from NY, where Is as from in NY we didn't have an O'Reilly's but after a few visits I have been happy. Their staff is always helpful, and non push. very happy with their products and service
If you're going to offer free wiper installation, it might be a good idea to have more than 1 employee in the store (who can't leave the front counter unattended).
This place never has anything I need. Every time I call for a part they don't have it. Plus their price is much higher than other parts stores. They don't have a common alternator and found it online through Amazon $200 dollars cheaper and free shipping. Hard pass on O'Reilly!
"?Great Staff?" It was a Wednesday 6pm, I had to get my car washed, came in, front aisle, everything you need for it too. The two guys standing outside the doors, 1 bearded asked me, what do I need? I replied, what can I you suggest to help keep my headlights from yellowing, is there anything? He looked at me, slightly puzzled, and didn't reply. I waited, and then walked in, to glance around. Both guys walked back into the store, and went to handle their whatever duties. Showed no interest in helping or suggesting...
Very helpful staff. They don't just push you away like most other auto parts stores do. Auto hard store employees never take their time with you. As a business owner I know how important it is to serve your customers and through cut good customer service you have the ability to sell them more products if you serve them the way they need to be.

David was extremely thorough and helpful. I had called another place prior to visiting O'Reilly and did not receive accurate information. I'll definitely go back to O'Reilly. They also have a rewards program.
I called O’Reillys today and spoke with Dave and he was super helpful! When I got to the store, a couple hours later, he still remembered our conversation from earlier and was able to help me with my headlight problem and wiper blades!! He made my car problems go away. Thank you so much! I highly recommend DAVE at O’Reillys.

Aaron was helpful and informative 30 min to closing over phone and 10 min prior to closing more than 5 star Service.... We will use again in future, now the new proud owner of a older Lincoln Town car. Well worth the couple extra miles to receive great sevice and knowledge in a stressful situation.
