Really nice people, they took me last minute and were able to get me out the door for around $66 to replace a headlight and tag lights on my Honda. I will come back here

I should have known better than to go to a pep boys, but I'm from out of town, and they are open on weekends. The communication was terrible, I had to constantly call back for updates, they never called me, not even to tell me the work on my car was finished. After I left, I had the check engine light come on almost immediately, and then several more lights and issues. When I took it to my local mechanic, he looked at the work they did and told me I was scammed by Pep Boys.

If you're anything like me, you'll take your car to the most convenient shop for your oil change. This is your sign to use your due diligence and choose wisely moving forward. I took my 2017 Subaru Forester in for a routine oil change and ended up with a totaled engine. Manufacturer requires 0w-20 full synthetic engine oil only and this location used 5w30 engine oil. Yes-- Pepboys corporate ended up paying for a full engine replacement but the process was truly a nightmare. I was without a car for two months. They only reimbursed a fraction of accrued expenses. Their communication was horrible, and this may sound silly, but I never received a simple apology or acknowledgement for their wrongdoing.

brought my car here and was in for 2 months. mechanics were unprofessional towards customers. they couldn’t figure out was wrong and replaced and charged me with services i didn’t need. girls in the office were so sweet trying their best to help. took it to another shop after so long with no solution and they figured out what was wrong within an hour. they ended up also finding out that whatever work pep boys did made my car even worse. do not suggest, i hope corporate reinforces standards to assure future satisfaction of customers

Great service and price. All work was done on time and the front office lady was excellent. I had a great experience.

Stephanie was accomodating, knowledgeable about brakes (taught me some new info) and tires while being empathetic to a "Need to budget" situation. They offer Military discounts and look for coupons/deals online when booking! Thanks Pinellas Park Pep Boys, where I always return too!

Took my vehicle in for a balding tire. Was told the rim was bent and needed replacing, even though I never had a leak before. Was told repeatedly the new rim was “on the way” for several days, and it was finally ready only after I called for an update.

Overall service horrible ! Customer service , terrible ,waiting time was 3 hours extra, even with an appointment they had the wrong parts or missed to have the parts ready ,and the issue didn’t got fixed ! Never again going to this place.

My dealership couldn’t get me in for nearly 3 weeks. Pep Boys had me in and out the same day. Top notch service.

I went in yesterday for a tire rotation and an oil change. I was informed that my struts and sway bar was bad so they could not perform the tire rotation. They informed me that it was not safe to drive. They gave me a quote for over 1500 to get this repaired. I got my car looked at a couple months back from Noble Auto. They were the nicest and most honest people. Noble informed me that my struts were starting to go bad, but it was not an urgent issue. At the end of all of this, I was charged for the tire rotation that they DID NOT perform. I called pep boys to get a refund and they said I will have to go back in to get my refund. Courtney was very sweet and kind, but other than that I had a horrible experience with pep boys. DO NOT GO HERE. If you want your car looked at by PROFESSIONAL and HONEST people go to noble auto!!!!

Hands down the most predatory and untrustworthy mechanics I have ever dealt with. I had my car towed to their shop after it died while driving, power steering went out and then the battery died. The next morning they call me and tell me that my engine is seized up, they couldn’t tell me why or how or ANY information about my “seized” engine. They told me my only option was to purchase an entire new motor which would cost $3300 not including labor. So I decided to just have the car towed to my house. Upon the car arriving at my house, the front bumper was hanging off (was intact prior), the hood wasn’t even latched, and my window was down (it had been up when I left the car) and seeing as how my battery was dead I just had to live with the window being down. Upon opening the hood and inspecting for FIFTEEN SECONDS, I noticed that my serpentine belt had snapped. So I charged the battery and replaced the belt myself, and wouldn’t you know it, my car started right up, good as new. They essentially told me that my car was totaled over a $15 belt and a couple hours of labor. These people are criminals.

Quick, easy in and out, competent employees All went well. I asked for a particular PSI and torque and it was taken care of with no issues.

I was very satisfied with my service I came in for 100 point diagnostic test and I was promised that they would look over my car as if their grandmother was Was the one that purchased a vehicle they gave me a thorough summary and review of the whole 100 point diagnostic and accommodated me with Every question answered

Booking the appointment was easy there was plenty of availability, I arrived. 15 minutes early at 2:45 for a 3:00 appointment, estimated repair time was 3:45 my truck wasn’t moved until 4. All the technicians were friendly and professional and communicated well. Time wise I wasn’t in a rush but if I was I would had been frustrated naturally. I had my tires rotated and an alignment done. My truck was pulling pretty hard to the right and they did get it much better but not perfect.. the price was fair.

While driving back from St. Pete to Tampa, another driver flagged us down to let us know our tire was wobbling. We quickly searched for the nearest auto shop and found this Pep Boys, arriving just 30 minutes before closing. Despite the late time, Stephanie and Cody were both friendly and helpful. They quickly identified the problem, a misaligned wheel, and fixed it in less than 15 minutes. To make the day even more stressful, we accidentally left our apartment keys at the shop. Stephanie ensured that the keys were returned to us the very next day. Thank you, Stephanie and Cody!

I went in to Pep Boys (store #1649 Pinellas Park) for an oil change and to have my tires inspected. I had purchased the tires there in 2023 and they were a 65,000 mile tire. I only had 11,000 miles on them and two of them were bad. They agreed to replace the two tires if I agreed to getting an alignment for $125. I agreed to the alignment when I went to pay my bill it was $586.I asked them to explain it to me that I didn’t see where I got two free tires but they insisted that I did. I still don’t think that I did how can $125 alignment and an oil change come up to $586 I should’ve been told what the price would have been with everything before agreeing to anything. I’m looking at the bill now and still can’t figure it out very disappointed in this organization and what can you do when the work has already been done. Absolutely nothing! I did not have $586. Has anyone else had this situation with Pep Boys? I will say the people there were very nice but I feel like I got taken advantage of. Even with an add-on of tire mounting and balancing, I don’t know how it could be $586 when I was told 125 for the alignment and whatever the oil change was which looking at it was $90 and way overpriced. I didn’t want the platinum oil change. I just wanted a regular oil change! I hope someone reads this and doesn’t get taken advantage of like I did.

Extremely helpful and nice. They were busy and I was going to try the other Pep Boys for faster service but when my car wouldn't start to leave they walked me through some options including how I could get by for a while without dishing out ANY money. I decided to get a new starter since I was just in town for a visit and didn't want to run any extra risk getting home. Then, they managed to fix my car ASAP and I had in back within hours. Thanks for making a stressful time a little easier.

I came here to get a nail out of my tire and it was so quick! The price was more than reasonable I was immediately greeted with a smile and felt very comfortable. Everyone was nice and efficient and answered all of my questions even about a couple extra things I didn’t even have an appointment for. Stephanie the assistant manager was very professional and the mechanic Brandon was very thorough and checked all my tires. I’ll be back!

One of the best tire repair shops I have ever had dealings with. This place is truly professional and very customer friendly. The cost is very reasonable. I would highly recommend their services.

First of all no greeting as I walk in the door Brought some tires to have mounted and balanced after installation tire light sensor comes on not reading any tire pressure and also get a vibration in the car around 65 mph.i Bring it back (again no greeting as I walk in the door) manager tries to tell my tpms (tire pressure sensor) battery just so happened to die miraculously at the same time as the tire install had an attitude about it after being confronted and then gives the sensor for free and fixing the balancing on the tires they messed up still giving a attitude to me. Unprofessional and rude won't be coming back ever again.

Took my 2018 Volkswagon Passat in last week to get a coolant leak fixed, after having to top it off from being nearly empty in the reservior every day prior. They changed my freon instead due to a misunderstanding and told me that THERE WAS NO LEAK (even though there is evidence of spraying, leaking coming from the passenger side, and drips and puddles from my car just sitting overnight) charged for labor, and told me that I just overfilled my tank after arguing with my boyfriend about the freon misunderstanding. I've had to top it off, again, every day since, and have photos from everyday since of the leak occurring (I did NOT overfill it, theres photos of that too) so it appears that they just got mad about the freon, didnt check for the actual VERY VISIBLE leak, and gave a BS excuse. Unprofessional, take your car to a local shop instead. :) The photos attached were from May 19th, about a day after taking it in for the leak to be fixed. No, I will not be coming back for my time & money to be wasted again by lazy mechanics either.

I visited this location by appointment for flat tire repair. I checked in confirming what I was there for. A gentleman took my keys, I let him know the tire was in the back and that I'm already on the spare. Well I didn't wait long until another gentleman came to tell me I was ready and that I was good. I told him that I didn't pay yet and he said again I was good. I enthusiastically said thank you and went home. Well low and behold my tire was still flat. No wonder it didn't take long and I understand now why they didn't charge me. It would have been nice to have some communication about what was or wasn't done or what the situation was with my tire at all. I get they're mechanics but when you're customer facing you gotta have some customer service skills in communicating things and I didn't even get the bare minimum of that! It's been a very long time since I've experienced bad service like this and it's wholeheartedly disappointing. I'm angry because I had a rare day off on a weekday and if I knew my tire couldn't be fixed I would have liked to know that so I could have done something about it that day if not there, somewhere else! Do better!

I made an appointment to have headlight bulbs repaired after making the appointment online I called the actual shop and spoke to a woman rep. I explained that I had already made an appointment but wanted ask if there would be any issue with me bringing said light bulbs I purchased and was told by the rep no problem just let the mechanic know when arrive. So, I drive 25 minutes one way to this shop to be told immediately after arriving that they will not change out lights that are OEM. Which is fine, except that was the very question I asked over the phone before arriving and was met with just come in and explain to mechanic. After asking why I could not have been told that before driving the response was just a half hearted I'm sorry about that. That was the extent of the service I received for my trouble.

They were able to order the odd sized tires my wife’s car needs and had them ready for me within 1 business day. They called to let me know ow when they arrived at the shop and I was able to drop off the vehicle and within just a few hours they let me know it was ready to be picked up. Very easy to deal with and helpful every step of the way. Thanks as always, Andrew K.

Had an issue with my truck not running right all of a sudden. Upon suggestion of a friend, took it to Pep Boys Pinellas Park to be put on diagnostics. Easy enough to work with making the appointment and then drop off. The next day I get a call telling me they think it's a problem within the engine and that they don't do things like that. So I go to pick up my truck and could tell they never moved it. Good thing is they never charged me the $99 dollar fee even though their website states $89. So I get it home, and start working on it to find a piece of hose stuck in my throttle body holding it open. So I took that out, continued with my tune up and started it up to find my truck running better than ever! Good news is, they could have found it and charged me some ridiculous fee to do it, but the sheer matter of fact they seemed like they didnt want to bother really urked me!

This is the best, pep boys in St. Pete and possibly the world. Call a head to schedule an appointment and they'll take good care of you. The appointment is the most important thing and you'll have no trouble here. They are open and help you.
