I had a bad experience here. Usually, I have good to very good service here, but right after an employee finished helping me, the manager lit into him for being away from the register. In front of me. I had arranged to have a battery I bought there tested. The manager took it, gave me a yellow sticky to put my name and number to call when testing was done. He never called. I went in a day later and asked about the test he curtly said it was good. Can I have the battery back, please? Sheesh! I wouldn't want to work under him, and I won't shop there.
I recently had a great experience with Lauren at Advanced Auto. Initially, I went to the other auto shop near there, where the men ignored me for a few minutes before the least knowledgeable person helped me. But at Advanced Auto Parts, Lauren helped me immediately, replaced my battery, and cleaned the fluid for me. She was so kind and patient to help me, because the only thing I know about a car is me and my sisters. Ha. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area and need parts or other assistance with your vehicle.
Was told that they had something in stock, when i arrived 30 minutes later they were “out”. Lady with short hair at the counter told me i could take off my tire with only removing one lugnut??? How does that even make sense in her head.
Inventory at this store is always non existent. They didn't have Bosch wiper blades in stock a few days ago and today I went to get a K&N oil filter for a small block Chevy and they only had one in stock. It seems the Harrington and Georgetown stores have inventory. I had to go to AutoZone for both items. If you don't have oil filters in stock for a Chevy then just close the doors on the place.
i went in there yesterday to have my battery charged and as a young female with no HELP AT ALL i had to learn how to take it out myself. i walked in and i asked him if they could charge my car battery all he said was “yes” then i said will you guys charge me “no its free” we stand in silence and then i proceeded to say “so who do i get to do it?” he said “we cant take out the battery for you, you have to bring it in here” long story short i feel like you should’ve told me that instead of standing there looking stupid ???. it was the tall older man. then she shorter older man snatched my paper out my hand. yall are rude as hell never again??
Can’t say thank you enough to Advanced Auto parts and Lauren for going above and beyond! I purchased batteries in 2021 (my diesel truck takes 2 expensive batteries! :-( ) from Advanced Auto Parts in Leesburg VA because my truck stranded me while I was out of town!
Fast forward to now- my truck started to have similar issues to what happened in 2021. Spoke to Lauren and she advised me I had a 3 year warranty on the batteries. I brought my truck in- we tested the batteries and found that the cranking battery was bad. Easy fix! Lauren exchanged my battery, and installed it and also checked my starter and alternator function! She was thorough, kind, and very helpful!! What an excellent experience and spokesperson for Advanced Auto!
Very helpful, had to return brake pads, they helped me figure out my Explorer had a heavy duty brake package and then got me the correct rotors with 20% holiday discount. Thanks so much!!!
Had a great experience there getting my battery checked. I thought for sure the guy would tell me I need a new battery and he said it was still good. It means alot when someone is honest.
I manage an automotive repair & maintenance shop and regularly work with advance. They have knowledge staff and a wide range of parts. If they don't have it, they get it.
Milford DE Store. Ordered and picked up in a water pump for my only vehicle. Had great initial customer service. Get home and disassemble my water pump to find that the new pump in box doesn’t match the new gasket or my vehicle. Call store (4:45pm 9/24/22) female employee rudely answers the phone and tells me there is nothing she can do, DRIVE to another store…… I tell her I am stranded without a vehicle and can I speak to the manager. The then tells me she is the manager, get extremely agitated. At this point her tone is so rude it is apparent she is not the manager. I ask again to speak with manager. She then backpedals… tells me the manager won’t be back till Monday…. And then hangs up. Luckily a neighbor let me borrow a car to go to the Georgetown DE location….. will now be reassembling my vehicle in the dark……
Do not go to this store. I bought a battery for my truck here about a year ago. The guy working at the store told me I bought the right one but it didn’t work in my truck. Took it back and they insisted it was the right one and wouldn’t take it back. I ended up having to buy another battery to replace this and eat the charge. I went back today and wanted to get windshield wipers. I asked for help to make sure I got the right ones. The guy told me these are the right ones and got home and they are the wrong parts again.
Attitude is more important than anything....the young lady I spoke to had the worst attitude for a parts professional.....she could have at least let me ask my question but she knew what I needed before I spoke. I won't go back to this store.
Horrible customer service they never come out from behind the desk to help customers sold me the wrong light 2 times the lady behind the desk is very rude. Will never shop at that store ever again I'll go to napa from now on
I stop here for all of my automotive need. The staff is always helpful. There's never been a time when I needed something and it wasn't available. If I ever needed to place an order the guy's have always taken great care of me. Keep up the great work.
Fast, friendly service... Cashier was very helpful and knowledgeable. On another note, the parking lot is now VERY cramped... Be careful parking and be extra careful trying to cross the road in front of the store, it's on a 90 degree turn with a stop sign that nobody seems to stop at...just a little sketchy trying to play real life frogger while carrying car parts to my car
Workers aren't very experienced in suggestions, often the most they suggest is another worker, who doesn't care to help. A bit more expensive than walmart literally right around the corner! At least walmart employees do try to help, even if they have to grab a mechanic!
