First let me say the sevice I received was excellent the staff was professional and very friendly saved me thousands of dollars over a toyota quote I totally reccomend this facility

If I can give this place 0 stars I would. They have terrible customer service, and do not communicate whilst your car is with them about the progress. I had to call them multiple times to ask about my vehicle. They ask you to pay before providing a report for the work they “supposedly” did and try to ask you to do more expensive services without reason. AVOID this place at all costs.

We had a lot wrong from another shop and they took care of everything and called us with every detail. Joe was just awesome. I highly recommend Amoco

Can't recommend this shop enough. Came for an alignment and was met promptly on time and greeted by name for the appointment. When my car was on the lift they discovered it needed control arms, showed me the movement in the control arms, and told me they would need to be replaced before an alignment could occur. I was given an estimate and walked through the estimate for the replacement of the control arms and the alignment. Parts were obtained quickly and service was completed promptly and I was in and out within a a beyond reasonable amount of time and could not be more satisfied. Staff was very friendly while we waited. Will be back when I need further repairs or trouble shooting on my vehicles!

I would not recommend anyone to have their car service here. The prices are two high and hidden fees will be added to your bill. Also, as your car is being looked at additional charges will be added for further inspection. I never had service like this before prices are driver up so they can offer financing with a third-party company. Very Sad! not a good way of doing business.

I had some major engine repair work done on my SUV, they explained the process and the time it will take to repair the vehicle. I like how they helped me finance some of the repair cost, the vehicle rides good no complaints. I would recommend them to anyone.

Super professional shop. Great job repairing my truck. I took it to another shop who couldn’t diagnose the issue. AAMCO worked at it until they found the problem and ultimately made the repair. Knowledgeable guys and gave advice after. Definitely will be back!

Fully swapped out my transmission and it was done in under 4 day. Joe is a great guy. Definitely will be returning!

The absolute worse place to take to your car. Charged me multiple times to diagnose the same problem and kept coming up with different solutions everytime . Definitely a horrible experience. Im not a review writer generally but this place is just horrible . The best line I was given was unfortunately thats the best we can do. And thats to keep charging me . Please save yourself

AAMCO Earned My Trust—Here’s Why Joe and the team at AAMCO are outstanding. Not only are they skilled, but they’re also honest to the core—something that’s hard to come by these days. Here’s what happened: I took my car to a local shop to fix a misfire. They replaced the ignition coil and spark plugs, but then told me I had a transmission issue and needed to tow the car to a specialist. I was panicked. I called AAMCO and spoke with Joe. He immediately stepped in, arranged the towing, and reassured me throughout. Once they ran a full diagnostic on both the engine and transmission, they discovered the real issue: a simple P101 code that just needed to be cleared. That was it. They could’ve easily taken advantage of the situation—but they didn’t. Instead, they got me back on the road quickly, honestly, and professionally. Thank you, Joe and the AAMCO team. You’ve earned my respect and my business.

I end up taking my Buick from Paul Campanella to ammco for my warranty transmission work and Joe explained everything to me and took the time to explain to me everything that was wrong and needed done. They did great work!

This was my second time at AAMCO in Bear. Both times I received excellent service and quality work. I there was no up-selling to get me to spend more money. I appreciate the service I received.

I had an excellent experience with AAMCO. From start to finish, the team was professional, knowledgeable, and transparent about everything. They took the time to explain the issues with my vehicle clearly and walked me through the repair process so I understood exactly what was being done. What stood out most was their honesty and attention to detail. They didn’t try to upsell unnecessary services they just focused on getting the job done right. The staff communicated well throughout, kept me updated on the progress, and made sure I was comfortable with every step before moving forward.

DO NOT USE THE PULASKI HWY LOCATION THEY WILL SCAM YOU. ITS A THIEF WORKING THERE STEALING MONEY FROM CUSTOMERS AND JOHN IS AWARE. Horrible experience, I was scammed out of my money and my car was held hostage there. I was told by John my car was ready for pickup and everything was all paid for. I got there with my 2 small kids only for another guy to demand more money. I asked him why? He said he didn’t know but if I didn’t give him the extra money he wouldn’t give me my keys. He said he would hold my car until Monday when John got in. He wanted $80 with no explanation as to why. I paid because I felt helpless, I really needed my car. I posted a review about how I was scammed and John reached out, said sorry and asked me to remove my post. He said if I did he would send coupons for a discounted oil change. I thought the offer was offensive, I wanted my money back but I felt bad because John was nice and it was his worker who scammed me. I took it down in good faith only to find out John is a liar too. I never got the coupons and the thief who scammed my card still works there.I would highly discourage anyone from going here, it’s a thief working there scamming people out of money.

I called late in the afternoon last Friday frantically explaining how I inadvertently put transmission fluid in my engine instead of oil. Lane told me to bring my car in on Monday, and they will change the oil. On Monday, I sit in front of John who explained that what I did happens often. I explained how I always must add oil to my car - even just 2 months after an oil change. I’ve had my 2010 Honda Accord since 2016. For all the oil changes I’ve had from various places, no one – not even Honda, could locate a hole or figure out where the oil was leaking. I picked up my car late Tuesday morning. Not only did AAMCO fix my brakes (I also needed brake service), but they found not 1, but 2 places where the oil was leaking! It is good to get your car serviced and not feel like you’ve been ripped off. I am very pleased with the service I received, and I let John know I am a new customer. Overall, I had great service from my initial call to driving away.

Our car broke down going home from New York to Florida and this shop completely saved us. We were in and out within the same day and able to continue our drive home instead of getting stranded. The workers were extremely helpful, respectful, and honest and even worked through their lunch break to get the job done as fast as possible. Truly recommend this place for any car needs.

Aamco Bear, De always deliver! On two occasions I've called on short notice. And in both instances, they scheduled me in a short period of time and fixed the problem in a timely manner. My vehicle now rides like a new car. I will definitely be using them again. John also kept me updated with all the repairs.

Stopped into AAMCO with a transmission issue. Atleast I thought it was a transmission issue. Turns out it was an engine misfire. Their great diagnostics saved me thousands of dollars. I am so thankful for their honesty and professionalism. See John he is a great manager and a good man.

My experience with Aamco has been less than satisfactory. I recently made an appointment to bring my vehicle in to be serviced for air conditioning repairs. I bring the vehicle the day of my appointment and I’m immediately turned away by John. I ask why, when this is the appointment that was agreed upon. He said that he had too many vehicles being serviced with only 2 techs in shop. I tried to be patient and make another appointment for the following Monday. I show up Monday morning to drop off my vehicle to be serviced. I wasn’t greeted or anything when I arrived. I waited for almost 20 minutes before 1 of 3 people who walked by me finally spoke to me. I spoke with John about how long the service should probably take, and was told I’d have the car back the same business day. That didn’t happen. I didn’t get my car back until FRIDAY after they made several errors and inconvenienced me for the entire week. Now, here we are 2 weeks later and I’m having to call back to make another appointment for my car to be looked at again! Air conditioning wasn’t functioning properly while idling or in drive. I decided to call and ask were any fluids (coolant) topped off after being serviced. The man I spoke to over the phone, Dominic was extremely rude and kept cutting me off while trying to speak with him. Before I could answer a question he asked, he hung up on me. I called back and John answered. I asked to speak to the owner of the establishment and was told “it wouldn’t make a difference” I asked again for the owner’s name to contact them and was denied the information and was told “you won’t speak to them, it’s my job to screen the calls”. The treatment that I received from the less than competent employees of this company was DEPLORABLE AND LESS THAN PROFESSIONAL. I highly recommend you find a different full service repair shop to use other than AAMCO. I will never recommend anyone to get services done here as long as these employees still work there.

The guys at this location were very efficient, informative, communicative, and thorough. I had a very particular issue with a previous garage , and their lack of cooperation. That required a lot of patience and understanding and I got nothing short of that from John and Lane at the Bear Delaware AAMCO. I highly recommend their service. They will be my first choice if I ever need that kind of work again, but seriously, let’s hope not! lol Great job guys and thank you again.

I brought my vehicle, 2004 Dodge Durango, in (Monday 06/23/25, 0800am) for service becuase my 4-wheel drive was stuck. It was going in and out and stayed on more than it was off. Unable to turn it off myself. The check in was great advised of the preliminary cost to check out but if they did the work it would be credited. Later I get a call back stating it was going to take longer to diagnose and the amount was going to increase another $100. (A friend also brought their car in at the same time and same thing happened...not sure if that is the normal practice for them). I let them do it since I needed this done. Apparently there were a couple things that could possibly be wrong, transfer case motor or transfer case. After a day or so, I was told it was the transfer case moter but it was going to have to be ordered since they didn't have the part, and it was going to be a couple days. I was told it would be in Wednesday or Thursday and they would let me know once it got to them. I was told the part was the only thing left since most of the other work was already done. Draining fluids, replacing other odds and ends. I never did get a call, a little disappointing. I finally got a call on Friday, 06/27/2025 that my car was ready. All in all the exeperience was good. Longer than I expected. My vehicle seems to be doing fine no issues I can see. It was a bit expensive ($1800+)but in-line with what research said it should cost. I can say I have more of any issue with the financing that the shop but that is not the shop's fault. Anyway, I think they did a good job, albeit a bit slower than I wanted but it was done. I would definitely use them again. As for only giving them 4-stars I very rarely give 5 becuase I just think there is always room for improvement.

Aamco has been amazing. My car sat for about 9 months. There were some major issues that others told me was beyond the scope of their services because the car sat for so long. Mr. John has been gracious and kind every time that I spoke with him. The professionalism of this company has been amazing. The prices have been reasonable and the work has been reliable. I not only write the review but Aamco, but they have a new client. My car is purring like a putty cat.

John and the team of employees over at Aamco bear were some of the best I’ve dealt with they were very thorough with diagnosing my car and figuring out what was wrong with it they communicated very well by giving me updates once every couple of days and making sure I was kept in the loop everyone was super friendly 10/10 experience

Took my Honda accord to aamco trans for some suspension work. John was my service advisor and it was great to work with him. Great experience. He took really good care of me and my car. Definitely recommend working with him.

Ok so I have been hoping Jon and AAMCO would live up to basic mechanical requirements good customer service but that was not the case with my daughter 2012 Mazda 3 that they changed the transmission on for over $5k! First they forgot to install the subframe bolts and engine splash shield and did not change out the rusted transmission cooler clamps. I noticed this when I changed the engine oil a week after my daughter picked up the car and told Jon about it . Brough it back in and they changed the rusted clamps and installed the missing bolts but did not install the engine splash shield because they lost it. For three months Jon gave us the run around about he would get a new or used engine splash shield but never did, all talk and no service! Poor maintenance! Update, January 27th. So Jon finally came Through and installed a new splash shield on the Mazda 3. See attached a new photo of it installed. Raised to a 3.
