initially I went to one of the "big name" chains to get a battery for my vehicle. After making the purchase and waiting for the tech to bring my battery I was advised that they no longer made that specific battery for my vehicle. They offered me a similar one for the same price, and told me the difference was primarily in the size. I asked if I could return it if it did not fit. They told me I could as long as it was not installed. I decided to wait. Next day I called California Batteries and spoke with Alex. He informed me that they did have my size and quoted me both new and used prices. I came and purchased a new battery from Ca.Batteries for literally half the price of the "big name" chain. Battery has been installed and is working great! Customer service was excellent and there was zero wait time! Ca.Batteries will be handling all my future vehicle battery needs!
So, if someone buys a battery from here then sells car they DO NOT honor the battery warranty. They engrave a number on the battery to identify it, but will not honor the batteries warranty if it isn't the purchaser of the battery.

Always best price and service. Had 1 for out after 4 months thay replaced it no charge. Been buying their batteries for years now never had a complaint.
DONT COME HERE THEY ROB YOU!!! I took 2 car batteries and about 15 or 20 motorcycle batteries right at 6pm closing time they gave me 45$ cuz they knew no one else was open. And no receipt. Go to the place in fontana on Slover and cherry i took 2 car batteries and got 27$
Absolutely thrilled. Doing a lot of repairs on my '05 Accord after a little accident. And my battery dies. Last thing I need is to drop $150-$200+ on a battery. California Batteries sold me a refurbished battery that meets my specs for a little under $45! Thank you! Life saver. Yup that was a huge find! Comes with a 5 month warranty. Worst case scenario I can buy a new one in 5 -6 months. But for today I could not be happier.

I recommend this place to anyone. These guys are honest, they will tell if the battery is good or bad, or if you need an alternator. Don’t go to auto zone or oreilys auto parts store they will rip you off.
Really great service. Knowledgeable and Professional. Auto Zone claimed my type of battery is not found rebuilt and was charging me $250. I cross checked the info found these folks and got the battery I needed for $50. Has worked perfect ever since.

The service there is "HORRIBLE", the two workers seem like they are blind, no personality, no greeting when you arrive, seems like you could be standing there for hours and hours and they would not ask if you need any help! The old man has a horrible attitude, no manners, his tone of voice is rude and cold, no customer service skills at all, the fat young guy the same, no personality, no customer service skills whatso ever, this place is horrible, I get chills just thinking about going back there! What a wonderful experience!! My battery was pretty bad, corrosion all over the place, and the young man who swapped my battery took the time to switch out my cables and connectors. He even tested the battery to make sure I even needed a new one. The 3 gentlemen working were all very professional and helpful.
