I’ve e been going to Eddie’s Auto Care for the last few years, and they’ve always taken great care of my vehicle. The whole team is friendly, helpful, and professional. They always make sure to keep me informed and are very clear explaining to me what my vehicle needs.
During my recent visit, I was there long enough to observe how busy they were, yet they consistently put customers first, they made sure everyone’s needs were taken care of (in person & over the phone). I also got to witness several satisfied customers leave the shop, which truly reflects the quality of service they provide.
I’m very thankful to have a reliable shop I can trust to take care of my vehicle. I highly recommend Eddies Auto Care for any vehicle work needed!
I have taken my car to this shop for major repairs and other services, and unfortunately, I cannot recommend them. In my experience, they try to get as much money out of you as possible. After having my transmission repaired here, two additional issues arose—issues they refused to take responsibility for. One of those problems had previously been fixed by another mechanic and I brought it to Eddies Auto Care attention right away, yet they dismissed it entirely even though I was under the warranty period.
The second issue became apparent months later when I noticed my engine oil level was unusually low which I didn’t have this issue before. After taking my car to another mechanic for maintenance and an inspection, they confirmed the oil leak was coming from the transmission side of the engine. Despite this, Eddie’s Auto Care showed no concern when I brought it to their attention and not manned up to take responsibility. Alfredo, the owner, was just talking over me and not giving me a chance to talk at all. I guess he views that as great customer service. I just hung up on him.
In addition, they recommend services your car doesn’t actually need, while overlooking things that genuinely require attention. For example, other mechanics and friends pointed out that my rear brake pads were worn out and needed immediate replacement. Eddie’s, however, told me the rear pads were fine and instead insisted that my front brake pads needed to be replaced—even though they didn’t at the time.
Based on my experience, I do not recommend this shop at all. They are not trustworthy, do not take responsibility for their mistakes, and will try to milk money from you.
I took my car in for a brake job. I ended having an additional issue of which the shop did not initially catch. Once I brought it to their attention, not only did the fix the issue but they went completely out of their way to rectify the situation and provide me with additional services and products that I was not expecting. Alfredo (shop owner) is a super honest guy and will help you understand the specifics of what is going on with your vehicle. I highly recommend bringing your vehicle here. You may pay a bit more than your average shop, but this is not an average shop.
I was disappointed on diagnostic work done on my engine, but after I talked to Alfredo, everything was explained to me more clearly, so I am content with everything now.
This shop is a complete rip-off and takes advantage of people in need. I was quoted $170 plus the cost of the bulbs just to replace an emergency brake bulb and two license plate bulbs, a job that took less than 10 minutes and only required pulling the bulbs and undoing clips. The mechanic claimed he had to “go into the trunk” and do all this extra work to justify the price.
Little did he know, I actually understand mechanical work, and it was clear he tried to take advantage of me especially because I’m a woman. Completely unacceptable. Don’t go here. Shop around and save your money.
Stay far away from Eddie’s Auto Care. Alfredo is the biggest liar and scammer I’ve ever dealt with. I brought my 2004 Silverado in for a starting issue and clearly told him everything I had already replaced. Instead of doing a real diagnostic, he immediately blamed the computer — no testing, no evidence, just a quick way to take my money.
He kept my truck for almost three weeks, fed me excuses nonstop, then charged me $724 for a “new computer” that didn’t fix anything. I didn’t even make it five minutes down the street before the truck went into limp mode, wouldn’t shift out of first gear, and still had the exact same issue.
I turned around and went back, and Alfredo got angry at ME, raising his voice and acting like I was the problem. The very next day he suddenly changed his diagnosis to the whole fuse box and wanted another $500. At that point I asked for the original computer he supposedly replaced so I could take it to another shop and verify if it was even broken. He refused to give it to me and got even more mad — which tells you everything you need to know. A legit mechanic has no reason to hide a part unless they’re lying.
He also threatened to charge me $95 a day just for my truck being on his property. Think about that: he didn’t fix anything, lied about the repairs, treated me with disrespect, and then tried to extort storage fees.
My truck came out WORSE than when I dropped it off. Alfredo refused to refund me and didn’t fix a single thing.
Do NOT trust this place. They will waste your time, take your money, and leave your vehicle in worse condition!

Alfredo, your reply proves you’re leaving out the real story and adding new excuses you never mentioned once during the three weeks you had my truck. I told you on day one exactly how I was temporarily getting the truck to start, so acting like this is “new information” now is insane. If that was truly the issue, you would’ve brought it up during your first diagnostic, your second diagnostic, or before charging me $724 — not after your repair failed. You never proved the computer was bad, and when I asked for the old one to take to another shop, you refused to hand it over. The truck wasn’t fixed at all — it failed within minutes, went into limp mode, wouldn’t shift out of first, and still had the exact same starting issue. That doesn’t happen when a mechanic actually knows what they’re doing. You never mentioned a “burned pin” during the first check, second check, or at ANY point until your repair failed, which makes it look like you made that up after the fact. You kept changing your story: first it was the computer, then the “new” computer was bad, then you needed another one, then suddenly it’s the fuse box and you want another $500. You raised your voice, got aggressive when I brought the truck back immediately, and then tried to charge daily storage fees even though YOU didn’t fix anything. Your response doesn’t line up with what actually happened — it just shows you’re trying to rewrite everything now that the truth is public. My truck left your shop in worse condition than when it arrived, and nothing in your comment explains that.
I recently brought my 2019 Chevy Colorado to Eddie’s Auto Care, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff was friendly, professional, and genuinely cared about getting my truck back on the road.
They diagnosed the issue quickly, explained everything clearly, and gave me a fair and honest estimate. The repair was done faster than expected, and my Colorado now runs smoother than ever! It’s rare to find a shop that combines skill, honesty, and excellent customer service, but Eddie’s Auto Care truly does.

What a blessing to find such a honest group of mechanics. I brought my car in for an oil separator replacement but the mechanics did a more thorough inspection and came to the conclusion that we should wait and see if the problem is major. How truly refreshing it was to meet such honest people. I would HIGHLY recommend this workshop for any repairs you need.
My engine check light lit on my dashboard. I took it immediately to Eddie's, they diagnosed the problem and got a replacement for a device that brings airflow to the motor. Eddie's Auto fixed it and got it back in 5.5 hours. I have a 21 yo car and needed this fix.
Eddies Auto care was great. The customer service was great they let me know the pricing and issues and even sent a picture of the problem. The price was reasonable for what I needed done and my cars been running great since.
Dropped my car off and was told It couldn't be serviced, went to pick up my car and it wasn't here. 2 minutes later an employee comes down the street speeding in my car that they couldn't service but could take for a joy ride. Very unprofessional. Be careful leaving your car here.
I pulled in. I got out, walked in spoke to the person who was sitting at the front desk. He had the best customer service. He was so welcoming sometimes women can be a little difficult not knowing what services they need, but I came for a smog he grabbed my keys took it back within 25 minutes or less he was done. The price was appropriate because I’ve gotten ridiculous amounts of prices for a smog check. I asked some questions on the services that they offer there. He broke it down to me. Talk to me about it while I was waiting on my car. I will from now on get whatever services they provide for my vehicle. There are from now on. It was a amazing.
Extremely friendly and professional over the phone and in person. Taking a look at my car even without an appointment from a tow. Got straight to the problem my car was having and repair time was quick to get me back on the road. Great communication in keeping me updated on the repairs.
They are what I call the lucky charm. Their work is real good their work and warranty is impressive, 24 months or 24000 miles. I went back for a warranty they were gonna honor it , 2yrs in Sept 2024. A slave cylinder replaced but this time was the clutch bearing.
They did a again impressive work , their warranty best I ever had. Price fair plus is on one the 10th best places in SB County. So they replaced the clutch, bearing, alignment on all wheels, I wish they would of flush all brake fluid since is connected to clutch, they bleed it good. When the guy call me and gave me the info of what was diagnosed, he said I know is alot when you gonna pick up ? So I mentioned to give me a discount since it was 2nd new job and he said yea, he'll try.
I was embarrassed to ask him after and the receptionist lady charge me regular. It was still a fair price and 1690 was good, warranty is very good. I wanna take it back for the brake fluid flush since they didn't do it and a oil change soon.
Eddies auto care is my new place and I find out they do those payment thing too. Anyone with clutch problems stop wasting time n money go to Eddie in San bernandino on baseline and sepulveda I think. 80s Auto Care is one of the best auto repair shops out there. Alfredo is always friendly and knowledgeable and their service is very quick and efficient. Most times that I do service. I’m able to get my vehicle back the same day. Would highly recommend to others.
Very satisfied with Eddie’s Auto Care! I called to schedule my maintenance on my Silverado and Alfredo got me an appointment the following week and my truck was back on the road in no time! Great customer service and will definitely be coming back for future auto repairs.
This is one of the best auto shops around! They give you upfront very much needing information about your vehicle. The pricing is very fair, and they complete the work when they say that they do. It is priceless to have an auto repair shop that does right by you, and is not Looking to gouge you . I’ve been to Eddie’s mechanics twice had my jeep fixed. Everything went well. I had my son’s card taken in there and they tried to take advantage of my younger son and me. They charge us for service we didn’t request and then left my car in operable and in their lot, I would stay far away from this place they are Scandalous And will take your money and take advantage of you SEE YOU IN COURT
I’ve been coming here for the past couple years and couldn’t be happier with the service and repairs I’ve received. It’s difficult to find a honest and competitively priced repair shop and Eddies auto care in my opinion is the best shop in the area by far. If your looking at reviews for your next Automotive repair shop like I did then know that there’s a reason why Eddies is so highly rated.
I have taken two cars there before for smaller repairs. Prices then were reasonable but now they try to retire on one repair. Called a few shops to get quotes and they were all well under 40% to 50% less expensive than what I was quoted through them. I would highly recommend getting a few quotes as you may save hundreds or like in my case thousands…
***I appreciate the response. I’m not questioning your certifications, all I’m doing is warning others to get a second quote. I know you didn’t compare your prices with other certified shops as most offer free check-up and Diagnosis. All the quotes I got were from approved AAA repair facilities and they all quoted with new OEM transmission from Nissan, which prompted me to want to write a review. I hardly write reviews but the estimate I got for the transmission replacement was crazy. I would highly suggest/ recommend you to comparing your quotes / prices with other shops as you will loose more customers…
These guys are awesome, the most professional and courteous group I've ever encountered at a shop. Brought it in for a busted valve which is a big job, they got right to work and had it back in a week. They kept me fully informed with phone calls and emails. I highly recommend Eddie's Auto Care. A year later I had them smog it. Passed without a problem, I was in and out in 15 minutes. I highly recommend Eddie's Auto Care.
