I recently got my car fixed here. His team did a decent job handling what was wrong but he was hard to get in touch sometimes. There were also lingering issues that had to be fixed after my initial visit.
Service was fine and price was standard but communication with customers needs work.
Be aware he only takes cash and doesn't accept debit or credit.
So glad I found this place on the way back up to LA from SD. Don't let the junkyard vibe fool you, this place is gold. I stopped at a couple of other places before coming here when I realized that the car was not going to make it. Best decision! Carlos really knows a lot about cars as he pointed out a few things the other places didn't. I was having traction control problems with the engine losing power and he knew what the problem was right away and he checked out a few other things as a service and that was great because the other place wanted to charge me $185 just to find out what was wrong. So to sum it up, it's a small place and it's Carlos and a couple of helpers and no high tech inventory which keeps the costs down because he charged me a very fair price. Also, Carlos is very good with people and he talks to you like a friend and not just a customers. Really enjoyed our conversation in the office while I was waiting for the car.
While in the freeway truck stop working for brakes and got off the i5 freeway and could move car anymore and the guys at the shop helped me move it from denny to the shop and had my car fixed and ready less than 2 hrs very nice and professional people. Thank you

Our RV broke down.After calling “5” auto shops and all of them claiming they were too busy or couldn’t help us at all .Carlos Auto took us in with no appointment. They referred us to a local eatery while they fixed our vehicle. Their prices were very reasonable for the work they did. We were back on the road in no time. Thanks guys!!!
I have been using only Carlos to fix my cars for around 30 years now. Years before he started Carlos auto. He has never done me wrong. He is inexpensive and has been able to fix "any" problem I have ever had with my car's. I never plan to use a nother mechanic. I highly recommend Carlos auto to anybody with any problem you may have with your vehicles. 10+ for me
Honest people and they warranty all of the parts and labor. New owner is the son Ernesto Carlos. Since then, the repairs have been scheduled in a timely fashion and i was able to continue on with my week and plan accordingly. I was offered a personal car of theirs to borrow while work was being done. no need because the job was done quick and effectively.
Terrible people that do terrible work had them weld a egr cooler. Their welds failed and leaked poured coolant into my cylinders now fixing their mistake is costing me more. Called them to see if they would refund the more for a failed part on their half and refused to pay. Would not recommend them to install a license plate on a car and it not be messed up
I would recommend Carlos auto Repair to anyone who is looking for an experienced knowledgeable and honest mechanic that only changes what needs done. Don't go any where else.
