I have been using Auto Repair shop of San Clemente for about a year and every time I had some repairs done on my older Toyota, Haik took extra time to explain what was wrong and how he was going to fix it. He is very personable, has excellent communication skills, and is very diligent in doing research to look into the core of some unusual problems and solving them. It is obvious that Haik takes pride in his work, and I very much appreciate his professionalism and excellent service. I would definitely recommend his services to family and friends!

Auto Repair of San Clemente deserves 5 stars, easily. I was so impressed by the friendliness and the honesty of the employees there from the moment I called them on the phone to bring my car in. They were constantly providing me updates on the status of my vehicle as well as even prior to any work being done gave me quotes from similar jobs for previous customers to give me an idea of the cost and timeline of my repairs. Zach, Jeff, and the rest of the team were super helpful and I would recommend them to anyone looking for an auto repair shop in the OC area.

These guys are pros! If you have challenging auto problems, this is the shop for you. I had a 2017 Subaru Forester with a knocking noise when turning the wheel. Figured it would have been a tierod or control arm, but it was actually the steering gear assembly failing. Even though I didn’t perform the inspection, Jeff provided clearly annotated pictures of the problem area. Which gave me a ton of trust in their diagnosis. Can’t recommend these guys enough!

Jeff and his team are top notch. I had 2 mechanics tell us incorrectly we needed a $3,000 catalytic converter to pass the smog test. Jeff was able to diagnose the problem, fix it, and smog it for less than $550. He went the extra mile to truly understand the root cause of the problem before making the correct recommended fix. Great responsiveness as well, these guys will be my new mechanic for all our vehicles.

Got new tires at Firestone but weren’t able to align them. Called auto repair sc and they hooked it up to see if the can do it and they were able to. I called ahead and they didn’t charge me for the diagnostic. Really appreciate the help with very short notice.

These guys are awesome! I brought my truck in thinking it needed very expensive repairs and they were able to find a much less expensive solution to the problem. All parts they used for the repair were OEM and they were able to fix it in one day working around my schedule and not theirs. I will definitely be coming back for any other work I need.

I have tried several auto repair shops in town and Auto Repair of San Clemente is the best by far. The cost of repairs very reasonable for the outstanding quality of work they perform. The staff of mechanics are A+ without a doubt. Highly recommended.

I am so grateful I found this place! It’s hard to find a mechanic you can trust. I moved here from the east coast not knowing anyone and took a chance on this spot. Right from the start I could tell they are more about helping people and less about making a buck. Now I have been a customer here for about 7 months and have come back for various services including overall check up on multiple vehicles, oil changes, electronic issues, and dent repair/bodywork. Their prices are very fair and every time I have been taken care of with exceptional service. They are extremely knowledgable, so if you have questions they can educate you, which I love. Simply, they do what they say they will do, communicate clearly, and charge an honest price for the work they perform. On top of that, from speaking with the Manager throughout my many service visits it's clear they invest heavily in the right equipment, compensate and retain super professional Technicians, and training them to be experts in the changing technologies. On top of all that, they fixed a problem that multiple other shops couldn't diagnose. Love them.

I can say without a doubt, Haik is an Honest, fair, and knowledgable operator. He IS the only Mechanic Shop to go to. Period. A little background: I was referred to him by a competing shop who said they call Haik when they cant resolve complicated electrical or mechanical issues. Since then I've brough all my cars there. Most recently I thought I was going to have to replace the air suspension in my Lexus. HAIK, like a surgeon corectly diagnosed the cause and fixed it. Problem: a bent tie rod causing the computer to malfunction. It's rare, correction, a miracle one finds a briliant mechanic with a kind and generous heart. Hike and his team are all about honesty, integrity, competence, and great service! They are detail oriented and get the job done right. Some years ago, the first time I went there, I knew this was a special place. I went for just a smog check but they also found a nail in one of my tires and repaired it for free! They also have great prices. I've saved much by getting my routine maintenance done here instead of the dealer. Everyone there is very friendly and they even have complimentary pick-up service.

My experience at Auto Repair of San Clemente was 10 stars! I will NEVER return to the dealership I bought my car from EVER again- I will only come here now! The owner of this shop, Haik, goes above and beyond not to just do a top-notch job servicing/fixing your car but also to provide superior customer service. I am not too knowledgeable on cars Haik can explain what needs to be done to your car in a simple way, and does not overcharge at all. Best service for the most reasonable rate in Orange County! This was our first time there. We had three issues with our minivan. They found one to be a quick easy fix charging us hardly anything, the second was a little more involved but again an easy fix and the third being what we expected. Came a way very happy with the professionalism, service and cost. Will return as needed. Thanks Haik and guys.

Shop was highly recommended, and they did not disappoint. I have a 84 Jeep Wagoneer, which is a tough car to smog. I took it to three different shops, no one could find the issue. However these guys fixed the problem, and car is legally smog certified. Then when my wife dropped me off to get the car, I asked if they would check the air pressure in the rear tire of her car. They not only checked, but put her car in the air to see if there was a nail and sure enough there was one. They repaired it in 10 minutes, I am glad they checked. I asked what I owed and they said do not worry about it it was free. On top of this it was after 15 minutes after they closed, and they still went the extra mile. This was the icing on the cake, their follow up and follow through while ordering parts for my other car was on point. They updated me on the progress,, showed me the old parts, and the whole crew has an amazing attitude. Wish I found these guys years ago.

My first visit to Auto Repair of San Clemente was a couple years ago, and since then, I won't take my car anywhere else for repairs. Haik is awesome! I feel that he's honest and up front. I don't feel taken advantage of. He takes the time to explain everything to me, as well as what to expect down the line. He's very courteous, and always professional. Great job by the team at Auto Repair of San Clemente. I bought a lemon and they were able to diagnose and repair the problems, document the troubles and walked me through everything step by step. Their customer service and overall work were about 150% better than Toyota of San Juan.

If I could leave "no stars", I would. Been coming here (Shorecliffs Auto Repair), dealing with Bill forever...Bill was GREAT!! This new owner (Fahi) is a NIGHTMARE!! Car was running rough, took it to this new owner, HOPING (wrong!) that it would be the "same" great place with great (honest!) customer service... NOPE!! New owner diagnosed my car.. told me that it needed new sparkplugs and wires... $800!! He said there were no engine code errors, and the wires are "sparking all over the place". Told me that "down the road" we may need to look at the Mass Airflow sensor (under $300!)...but for now.. I MUST do the wires! I agreed. I called today (he never called me over the last 2 days for updates, nothing!). He said "Bro...we've GOTTA do the Airflow sensor... we can't wait!" What? Why such certainty now (after I spent $800)?? I told him to stop, I would pay for what he's completed, but no more. When I went to the shop to pay he starting screaming at me... THEN... (get this).. he comes around the counter, hands on his hips, in my face screaming "You're messing with the wrong guy!". ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? I told him to put my original parts in a bag, and I would pay for the car and be on my way. He started yelling again about my "piece of junk" car, etc, etc.. In a truly crazy twist of fate... he picks up the phone (probably as a defense for being aggressive), calls the police and says that I won't pay for the car!! I was there to pay, but wanted the old parts!! Needless to say, I will not be back! I've lived in SC for 40 years.. .and Bill was a "local jewel".. not this guy... you've been warned!!
