The reviews are true!!! DO NOT USE THEM. They price gouge. My wife was stalled at a red light. OC Sheriff called S&K(yes the San Clemente location) and they towed her SUV less than 100 yard. Charged us $319.00!! The price was not given until after the 100 yard tow. Then refused to release the car from tow truck until they were paid. The owner of the company was rude and unapologetic. Demanding pay. He later told me that they have a contract with OC Sherriff. If this is so then there is most likely a kickback going on with the Sheriff and S&K. I do not necessarily believe this to be true because S&K did not come across as an honest business. If i get one or two people to look elsewhere for a tow then I have done a good service by posting this.

Jessie towed my car from my garage yesterday to the mechanic. Everything went smooth as could be with great communication and service. Thank you S & K.

I got wonderful service from the owner and staff. They went above and beyond what I expected and I appreciate all they did to make my towing experience as positive as it could possibly be.

Got stranded in the middle of the road completely lost, no other towing company could find me. Jesse was very nice and extremely helpful in finding me and even getting a part for my car! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!

I’m not going to lie my situation was definitely a series of unfortunate events. I got into a weather induced accident and the company was there within 30mins. Super helpful tow driver that dropped me off at the enterprise to rent a car. A few days later the new owner picked up the phone and understood my situation as my insurance wasn’t going to cover the tow. Jesse gave me a discount for being in the military but more so because he understood the crappy situation I was in. To be honest this has been the silver lining in my very uncertain situation. I’m so grateful for the service they provided today. He even was gracious enough to change the tire. Definitely a solid recommend for the customer service and business service if you’re in the area.

Avoid this circus at all costs here’s how they handled our situation… my son was pulled over for speeding I’m not happy about it but i also consider it an honest mistake during the interaction with the chp officer finds my sons license was expired yes I’m upset but still an honest mistake so the officer decides to impound the car. Here’s where s&k towing is involved they managed to get on the rotation for tows with the chp when the supposed tow truck driver mark arrives he lifts the Lexus is250 from the front, this is an automatic transmission rear wheel drive car can not be towed in this manner unless the car is put on dolly’s so the rear wheels are off the ground. This did not happen and my son was not aware. Mark the supposed tow truck operator told my son and his girlfriend that he was going to leave the car running so he knew that he was not towing the car properly. Now when we picked the car up I didn’t do a thorough walk around (my mistake) when we got home I saw that the right rear of the bumper had damage and the bumper light was broken you could also see where someone had wiped the scuff mark off because the car was dirty (see pictures). I immediately called the tow yard and was directed toward Jesse who immediately went on the defensive even going so far as blaming my son because his drivers license was expired. He knew the damage was there he explained how when something like this happens they look up the citation to see what the reason for impound was. Jesse went on to explain that this happens all the time so if the driver if pulled over for driving while intoxicated he probably won’t remember about a broken or damaged bumper and taillight so this tells me that this happens to others as well he was ready with his story and would not accept any responsibility for the damage. These clowns have no business dealing with other peoples property and can not act responsibly or do the job of towing and storing cars properly. Be aware do not give this circus any business steer clear. The only reason they have a 2 star rating is because you can’t leave less than a 1 star rating.

As a Level 7 Local Guide with Google, I have had great success with Jesse and his team at S&K Towing; we have a lot in Dana Point that people consistently park in, illegally, and the guys come immediately when someone parks in our parking lot. I appreciate them 100%!

My vehicle (black 2010 Ford F250) was removed illegally, refused to release it initially, held it for months, sold, and wound up buying it back and releasing it after involving law enforcement. When I finally got it back I realized that clothing tools and parts were missing from my truck. Ie: trailer hitch, cab brake light, license plate lights, battery, asking with my driver side running board being broken, and my front and rear bumper being unaligned. (Possibly from attempted removal) These people are thieves who prey on people who they think are least likely to be able to do anything. The fact that you haven't been run out of business yet is astonishing. Edited: Me again to late to sue but still haven't forgotten.

Shannon Kley was fantastic. He showed up and easily pulled out my daughter’s car from the snowy ditch. You guys have a good man.

If you’re looking for a place where the employees are in a constant state of poor me and annoyed to have a job this is the place for you! I’d put less stars if I could. Honestly we didn’t even have any questions and came prepared with everything and somehow this guy at the front desk was still bothered he had to do anything but breathe. Just try to come prepared and very zen they are going to be frustrating you within a few seconds.

Honestly, I don't know how this company is still open with so many negative reviews. I was one of the customers who was harmed by this company. They have overpriced contracts with the city and charged me an exorbitant amount for only a mile and a half of transportation. They charged me around $600. They did everything they could to prevent me from picking up the car at their yard. They wanted to charge me more, doing a lot of bureaucracy, always claiming that I was missing documents to pick up the car, all so they could get more days at the yard. And so when the price gets too high, they end up taking possession of the car. After a lot of sacrifice, I manage to get all the paperwork together and get my car back at their yard. But be careful with this company because they just want your car to be impounded so they can pick up the car for themselves. I managed to pick up my car an hour or two after it was impounded and it came with things missing. They stole my charger and a coat. Be very careful with this company. And before you have any doubts, YES, it was the SK Towing from San Clemente and not the one from Anaheim.

On June 17, 2024, I unfortunately drove our rented camper van into a V-ditch at the entrance to the Nichols Institute in San Juan Capistrano. It's a pretty isolated area but luckily the guards were able to help us get S&K Towing to come out. Their contracted towing company had initially come out, but the driver had given up after some attempts at lifting the van out of the ditch: He was fearful that the van would end up tipping onto its down-slope side. In addition, other towing companies in the area declined the job once they heard about the situation. S&K Towing agreed to send a driver to check out the situation. Although we had to wait until 9 p.m. before S&K's driver, Frank, was able to come out, it was well worth the wait. Frank clearly had the expertise, perseverance, AND patience to work with a very difficult , not to mention dangerous, situation. Both my husband and I were really in awe of his skill in maneuvering, using all the flatbed tow truck's various options, the camper van out of the V-ditch. He finally got the camper van onto solid level ground a little over two hours later. S&K Towing is fortunate, as were we, to have someone as skilled and conscientious as Frank!

Guy who was driving the tow truck helpped me so much. I saved hundreds of dollars and was able to fix my van. He knew what was wrong with it, and told me how I could fix it myself for cheap. Set me down in a really good spot. Felt like a relative had picked me up.

Honestly, these guys are lying, irrational hotheads! I will never do business with them again. Seriously, worst unprofessional behavior I experienced from any business in 2023! I hired them to help my daughter unlock her door since she locked keys in car. She made payment after service. Unbeknownst to us, she had fraud issues on her card around the same time as their service took place so her card was frozen. Brian from S and K called my daughter later with threats in order to collect and he also claimed to be the Department of Justice. She told me immediately, so I thought this was fraud or a scammer especially since it was a personal phone number. I called the number back to find out what was going on and this angry dude Brian starts barking and yelling at me as I’m questioning him being the DOJ as he demanding the money and then hangs up. So I called the S and K towing number on Google to resolve payment if it wasn’t collected. I confirmed that payment had not been received so I paid the amount right away even though the clerk Kevin was almost as bad as Brian.

After I picked up my car I noticed multiple gashes in my back left tire and rims. These gashes were not there before my car was towed. The driver must have slammed the car into something very hard in order for that to happen. I would not trust this service if you value the integrity of your vehicle. I have never experienced this with a tow truck company. If you do use this service, make sure that you check your car thoroughly before leaving

5 stars for all your help and working with us. Our car was totaled on the freeway. I didn't know of them. The 911 people just sent them to us. Very fair rate for towing and storage. Bryant worked with me under our special circumstances and talked with me about our options. He gave me some direction when I was just trying to deal with medical problems. thank you, thank you.l

If I could put zero stars I would. I have waited from 11 to 2:30 pm for the wrong truck that was dispatched 5 minutes before he arrived. DO NOT believe dispatch when he says "My driver is only 5 minutes away." OH but don't call him a lier! LIER!!!! This was the worst company. They kept saying 5 minutes multiple times and still nothing. This was horrible service and dispatch.

UPDATE: The review below applies to SK Towing and Recovery, which is a different company. I see many leave bad reviews to S & K Towing company by mistake..... I will delete my review and bad rating soon. ORIGINAL REVIEW (left for now so that others won't make the same mistake): Our insurance company (State Farm) road assistance service should stop using this useless company. SK Towing and Recovery company is totally unprofessional. They claim "45 minutes" waiting time all the time (in our case they never showed up). Their call center first claimed that the tow truck didn't find us and left..... if they had our phone number how come the driver didn't call to ask for additional directions???? Please avoid this company if you value your time....

Words can not express how awful their customer service is. The 24 hour receptionist is rude and doesn't want anything to do with you or your questions. The owner is so unprofessional it's appalling. Don't give them your service, and pray to God no one ever tows your car here. No, I did not get a referral. Nor, did I call the company in Anahiem, like all your responses suggest to throw heat off of your company. Don't want bad reviews, don't insult your customers. I've had interactions with both the owner and the 24 hour call center, both were awful. I mean the owner degraded my husband to his face just because he looks young.

Called at 10:00a.m too arrange pickup Scheduled for 11-11:30am Called at 11:45 to ask for an update RESPONSE:“Sorry he will be there within 45 minutes” An HOUR passes by so I call again RESPONSE: “Sorry there were some delays he will be there in 45 minutes” another HOUR passes by. I call again RESPONSE: “Sorry I see he’s on route to you now! He will be there in 20-25minutes”……. 45 minutes later the driver calls me “ hi is this mr_____ yea I’m around the corner. I’ll be there in 5 minutes!” It’s been 45 minutes since his “I’m around the corner” Called dispatch again RESPONSE: “he’s getting gas across the city so he’ll be there in 20 minutes” another hour passes. “”He’s still getting gas””” must be filling a fkn airplane At 5:05pm tow truck arrived, scheduled at 11:30am show up. Took time and money away from my pockets. Wish they would have been honest and said they were really busy and gave me a better honest time frame. Horrible experience. Choose another tow company. Terrible customer service. Worst.

Suppose to get their roadside assistance via Jeep warranty. First ETA is 90 mins. No show. Call SK, they never pick up the phone. Call Jeep roadside assistance and they get a hold of them and said new ETA 35 mins. At 40 mins, Call Jeep to get a hold of them again, they said they would be here within 30 mins. No show. Call again at 40. Even Jeep cannot get a hold of them. Have to cancel and find a new provider. How can this type of business survive? Wish they can out of business soon and replace with more reasonable business.

I called them because a car was in my driveway blocking me in. I was told the driver was on the way as soon as I placed the call. 40 minutes later I called back and was told they had not left yet it would be an additional 20 minutes (they were literally 2 miles down the road)…when the driver got there he smelled like he took a bath in a 50 gallon tub of liquor. He looks at the “work” involved and said let me turn around….AND HE LEFT! 5 minutes later the depot called and said he said the turn was to narrow for him to make….hmmm I wonder if the booze had anything to do with it…Anyway use at your own risk!!!!

Like you can see in the rest of the reviews. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE. Phone operator MICHAEL was unprofessional and lied multiple times. DRIVER BRIAN, estimated arrival time was 5 pm At 5pm I called and they said the driver was going to contact me; he never did I call back the number listed and talk to a now irritated sounding MICHAEL who told me that my driver would arrive shortly he was down the street I RECEIVE A TEXT FROM DRIVER BRIAN SAYING HE IS GOING TO BE HERE IN 1 HOUR (total wait time 3 hours and some change) After letting them know I have a toddler and that we had been waiting 3 hours they continued to be useless and uninformed. I am currently still waiting for a tow truck. I have had more than enough time to think out this review and think it is highly needed. I hope you guys run slowly out of business Sincerely A paying customer who got FD over ***** UPDATE!! They say they have no record of a tow in my area.. 4 hours later… here’s screen shots proving they are liars and dead beats

They were dispatched through my insurance roadside assistance. After an hour of waiting, I called the insurance company to check on status and apparently they said they will be here in 10 minutes. I called insurance back 15 minutes later and they canceled the service! How unprofessional! And this whole time, I couldn't get in touch with them directly. Insurance called again 5 minutes later and they said they are getting gas and will be here "in no time". Never showed up. Unreliable, do not use them by any means!

Ordered a tow for a fleet vehicle . Got notification that the tow was complete. One of our other drivers rode by and noticed it was still sitting at the pickup location later this morning so I called the tow truck company and they said it was cancelled. He was very rude on the phone, I could barely hear him because of the equipment use behind him and all he kept saying was "it's cancelled". I ended up using someone else since he obviously didn't care about helping or making a tow. Super rude and poor professionalism.

Where to begin??? STAY AWAY! My car ran out of gas (YEP, ON ME!) My insurance company apparently referred the job out to this place S and K Towing. DID NOT EVER RECEIVE A CALL FROM THEM like the text from insurance said I would be receiving.....1.5 hours sitting on the side of the road with my bulldog I decided to reach out to them. NO ANSWER......Second call....NO ANSWER....I contact insurance and they tell me they had issues contacting them..."what do you mean issues?" "THEY AREN'T ANSWERING OUR CALLS EITHER." 3.5 hours into the ordeal I finally reach someone at S and K who has me in speaker while he's throwing metal tools on the concrete....S AND K TOWING DUDE: SIR, WE RECEIVED YOUR REQUEST AND IT WILL BE A MINIMUM OF AN HOUR WAIT." I explained to this foo I'd been sitting on the highway for almost 4 hours and my insurance company put the request in hours ago. S AND K FOO: "SIR. YOU'RE BREAKING UP. I CAN'T HEAR YOU (CLICK)" I call back and the phone just rings and rings.......

Worse towing company ever nothing but lies. Sat in my car last night for 3 hours. And every time I would call they would say he’s in route he’s 15 minutes away that is the longest 15 minutes I had ever seen. 3 hours later called and cancel my tow I’ll rather go rent a tow dolly and pick up my own truck. I would never put a penny in there pockets.
