Two separate occasions years apart tried to get my car wrapped here. Walked in, talked about a bunch of stuff very nice people etc but never sent the price. When I followed up they played dumb said they sent it. They never did. They missed out on over $15K of wraps and wasted my time. Just say you’re not interested, that way you save my time and you don’t get a 1 star review.
These guys are seriously the best in the business. So accommodating and made it so easy for me. I’ve been going to these guys since high school in the early 90s and I’ll keep coming until I can’t drive anymore.
Okay people of Pasadena, tonight I experienced something that has left me to be really, really concerned about receiving services again. I took my car into VIP Auto Customs in Pasadena, CA on Altadena Drive on Valentine's day for my two front passenger & Driver side windows to be tinted.
While they were being tinted, I walked to Vons on Sierra Madre & Colorado to do some light grocery shopping. I purchased plates, cups & a Lime Margarita. When I got back to VIP Auto Customs I placed my bag of groceries on a counter & set up a Zelle payment to VIP Auto.
I left there & got home & realized my groceries were left. It was after hours & I left numerous messages about my forgotten groceries.
The next day was Sunday, left numerous messages. Monday no response from VIP Auto - I then text an mad email to owner letting him know I left my groceries & have not received a return call. Tuesday, today, I receive a call while in a meeting, I answer because I see who the caller is - VIP Auto. I tell the man I'm in a meeting & will return call. In between, I get an nasty unprofessional text from the owner Robert senior. His message was that they called me today & I was in a mtg but my groceries were there & to pick them up before 5:00 pm.
I call Robert Sr back He tells me he didn't appreciate my message about his staff being unethical about my groceries. He further stated they did not answer their messages on Monday even though they were in the office. How much sense does that make?
I tell Robert that I would have at least expected a return call from them considering my groceries were left there (plates, cups & Margarita).
He tells me to come get my groceries. I get there & he is meeting with someone. I say hello, as I look around for my groceries. I say I'm here to pick up my groceries. He then said "oh by the way I used a cup because I thought it was ours" I look & I say "ok" because what's one cup right? They shouldn't have used any! He says, "we're okay?" He shakes my hand. I put the groceries in my car, get home & find he didn't use one cup, he used several! He also opened my plates & used some of them!
I call him & say that I would like to let him have the groceries since he used them & he could reimburse me the cost since they were already used my groceries. Robert had the audacity to tell me if I looked at my receipt, I would see that they are not responsible for any thing a customer leaves in their store. I asked does that include the owner & staff using my groceries?
I say I can bring the groceries back to him & his staff since they opened & used them & he could pay me the difference of the groceries. He said no because I left them. Wow! people!!! So there is no integrity in using clients groceries!? Robert Sr rambled on about how he would not reimburse me for using my grocery items
He stated it was in the fine print of my receipt.
People beware of this business. I strongly feel If I was another color, or a man he wouldn't have said this. I don't care how long he has been in his spot, I picked up racist vibes that were so strong, they would have broken you!
I will never, ever do business with this business again. People DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT DO BUSINESS AT THIS PLACE. This placed is flagged as a non- Inclusive business with no integrity, morals or values whatsoever!@ Tell all of your friends to not solicit.
Now watch the owner try to say something about this post. This is first hand experience. No Intergity, morals or values! Mayor of Pasadena, there is a shady, unethical business in Pasadena! - VIP Auto! Shameful! Low down dirty low class!
Yoooooo shoutout VIP Auto Customs especially to Robert and Brandon ,these gents really know their stuff. Super professional, transparent about pricing, and clearly experienced when it comes to tint. They even squeezed me in and got my new truck done before the weekend, which I really appreciated.
I’m starting to realize service like this is rare nowadays. I called another shop down the street first and the person on the phone couldn’t have cared less if I showed up lol. Brandon, on the other hand, actually listened, asked the right questions, and made sure I was set up. Then Robert walked me through the whole process and gave solid recommendations for my truck.

It has been a min since I have had one of my cars done by Them . I always bring my cars here and I came all the way from Reno to do it. Loyal customer and had a fantastic Black Friday deal that I couldn’t pass up and was gonna be in town so it worked out. Robert (Owner) made sure I could take advantage of the deal since I came a week later from the deal . He always takes care of me . Brandon (Son) Handled my transaction and was fantastic. Walter & Paul (Installers) did such an amazing job on the tint. It came out exactly how I wanted it to look. I’m so happy with everything . Great value always with all my cars I have had over the yrs . Thanks to the whole team !

I needed to remove and replace the film on my two front windows. I previously used VIP about 9 years ago, and went back. Robert (Jr. & Sr.) were very professional, knowledgeable and focused on my needs, and explained the changes in the film products since I was last there.

I recently purchased my vehicle and thought that I would get quotes from different businesses that tinted windows. One place quoted me an astronomical price that I was seriously considering.
However, my gut told me to once again keep my patronage local and what do you know…VIP Auto Customs offered the same service at the fraction of the cost that was quoted by the other business.
From the moment that I entered until the moment that I retrieved my car after its completion, Brandon was a gem! He is BEYOND helpful and more importantly knowledgeable of the product. I went in there to get a quote for tint on my BMW. They were very professional worked with me, explained and showed all the tint options. What I liked is that they’ve been in business for 30 years and they guarantee their work and they delivered. I love how my car looks. Thank you so much. I will be going back. Maybe for my rims too. It’s good to know you have a place you can go and trust the work they do.
Great place to do tinting and ceramic coating. I had my brand new 2024 Acura MDX tinted, color-corrected and lifetime ceramic coating. The work was so good that I had my son’s 2023 Acura Integra tinted. Easy to do business and whenever possible Accommodate emergent requests. The best!
Great job on my front clear bra! I had some damage done but only to the front corner, I didn't want to remove the entire front bra and they were the only ones who would take on the task of doing a partial replacement and nailed it!. I called around and nobody was willing to take the job since it takes precision to do it cleanly.
Brandon from VIP said it's no problem and they were able to fix it in less than 30 mins and the correction is unnoticeable. I will post photos of the before and after.

Great service here, they took care of me instantly when I walk in to get my 2 windows tinted with out appointment. Price is fair I thought I got a good deal!
Fantastic service from Robert senior and his son Robert! They did excellent work! I would highly recommend them for window tinting. I love my ceramic window tints. They block virtually all UV and IR rays so they protect the car and keep it cool. Nano-ceramic particle technology in their films are amazing. Very knowledgable and they have been around a long time. Great reputation. I would take my car here again. Great Work VIP Auto Customs!
Vip customs in pasadena has been he’s been here for over 25 years and is top notch for window tint, vehicle wraps, PPF, paint protection ,custom wheels and Auto Detailing
I had done Paint Protection coating with them. WOW!!! Just look at BMW’s paint . Since coating my car I only wash it about every 3-5 weeks now . It just doesn’t get dirty anymore. Thanks to all the staff at VIP
