My wife broke down, in the middle of the night, on a cross country road trip outside of Hamilton AL. In the morning, an attendant at Love's Truck Stop recommended Watha's Towing. She called and was told they could look at her car at 9 am. By 12:30 the car was fixed and she was back on her way.
Julio at Watha's did an outstand job explaining the issue, providing a fair estimate, and quickly completing the repair.
The best part -- the bill was a 1/3 less than the original estimate and she arrived safely at her destination 7 hours later without another hiccup.
I called AAA when my tire blew on the side of the interstate. They arrived super quickly and I followed them back to their shop to get a replacement for my spare (I was 500 miles in on a 1200-mile round trip) and wound up getting the two they had in stock. They replaced the spare and used the two best tires of the remaining three for the back. From the time my tire blew to the time they had my two tires changed was an hour and a half! They definitely saved the day.
My husband, children, and I were on a very long roadtrip heading to visit family. Our vehicle started having issues and completely stopped working within seconds after we arrived at this auto shop. We were about 18 hours away from our destination. The shop was about to close but two of the mechanics stayed after hours to fix our vehicle. My family and I are forever grateful for this auto shop.
These folks are miracle workers!! I was stuck with a flat outside Hamilton AL - it was dark, I had my two children and I was traveling to Memphis from Raleigh by way of Atlanta. I was NOT in the position to be hanging out on the side of the highway. Wathas got me on the road quickly, with kindness and for a VERY reasonable price. They’re angels on earth 🖤 I only wish they were closer to where I live!
I would give it a zero but I can not. Worse experience very rudest people I have ever met in my life. Got cussed at and everything. Costed me $300 for an oil change and could not get a refund for the thing they did not do. I was told to take $40 and leave even though all they did was oil change.
Had ablow out on a trailer tire. Needed tire and rim. Also broke a slipper spring bolt. They got there quickly and had a tire and rim, and were able to fix it all. Everyone that I dealt with from the lady on the phone to the technician was friendly and professional! This is how roadside service should be done. A+++

We're traveling from Tennessee to Alabama and blew a tire on I22 (yikes). Luckily we had a donut to put on to make it into Hamilton to Walmart but they had a 2-3 hour wait and we need to get back home to Tennessee once we're done in Tuscaloosa. So we found Wathas on Google and they hooked us up quickly and for a good price too! I'm not from around Hamilton but these guys are life savers! Check them out!
Very helpful and they help me get a tire and get a tire put on very very reasonable price the guys were outstanding even though it was time to go home they was very very helpful did not rush through anything and was trying to explain any and every question that I could have had to me love this place will be going back and I hope for nothing for like Towing and stuff but maybe I can go back I would like to work there awesome atmosphere
We were stranded on the side of the highway with a blown out tire and two kids states away from home. Johnny didn’t take long to come pick us up and took us to the shop where he and the other associate put on two new tires for me. Johnny even took the time to show me what happened, explain why, and point out everything I will need to get checked out it when I get home. They were all so kind and courteous and made a bad situation better.
Car broke down on side of highway and I needed it towed all the way back to the dealership in birmingham. Shannon was great, he loaded up my car fast and was very professional. I was worried that since my ride still hadn’t gotten to me yet that i would have to wait on the side of the road with my belongings and dog. However, he drove me and my dog to a nearby gas station to wait in the truck for my ride to arrive and when they did he even helped me unload my car. Great people, Great experience. Highly recommend.
Fantastic experience. We're on a cross country road trip in a winnebago RV and started hearing the brakes grind. I called around to numerous places and they were able to get us in right away and within 2 hours we were on our way. My husband works on cars and watched the whole time and he was impressed! The charge was VERY reasonable. Super nice guys. I would not hesitate to come here again or refer a friend. Thank you so much!

We were on the church bus, having a good ol time and then boom. Blowout. Right rear outside dual. It’s raining we’re hundreds of miles from home. We’re frantically calling places trying to find a tire. Did I mention its 9 o clock pm on new years. Finally a glimpse of hope. Someone tells us to call watha tire. So we do. Thank goodness they answered. Told us someone would meet us there if we could limp it in. So thats what we did. A nice man met us there and immediately got to work. It was pouring down rain and it was like he didn’t notice had us in and out in 30 minutes. Great people doing great work at a great speed. 5 stars would recommend if your ever in need.
A little over a month ago they were called to tow my car, waited on the side of the road for two hours. Tow truck driver called me to say he was going home to eat dinner and would tow me after. Luckily I was able to get the car going and managed to get home one
After the above experience, I should have known better but I hired them to move 2 buildings to my property, In a small town there are few options, I was quoted $400 each to move the buildings, after bringing out the first one, Watha informed us that he would not move the 2nd one for the quoted price, he wanted $1,000 to move it. He is very rude and unprofessional, apparently he feels he can rip off his customers because he is the only game in town, I’ll happily pay someone else more to move it. A deal is a deal and I refuse to pay this crook a penny more than agreed upon. Take my advice DO NOT hire them.
Stopped in needing a tire fixed. They were busy, but jumped right on fixing my tire, so I could get going. Fast, friendly, professional service. Will definitely be back in the future. Thank you!
I was very happy with the service received on the night my daughter had her car accident. At 3 o'clock in the morning they responded very quickly and everybody involved were very nice and made a horrible situation a lot easier. I would highly recommend this towing company. Thank you
I went there today which is Wednesday February 10th got there at 8:00 a.m. got my spark plugs changed and the spark plug wires plus the head gaskets which they changed within 30 minutes it was done another 30 45 minutes on the spark plugs in the wires and they charged me $300.... $200 worth of it for labor.. to me that's outrageous I feel like they just took total advantage of me if I'm wrong correct me but $200 for labor for three hours work ..come on
We were 3 miles from the shop and needed a rear tire. I was told the tire would be about $200 but when they brought it it was $239 + tax plus $35 to put it on and by the time he added tax a tire I could have bought for $169 cost $300. It hurt my pocket book! The man that changed it was great but I didn’t expect to pay $300
I have nothing to complain about I called because me and my family was on the side of the road and they came rightbon did not have to wait and hour at all. Very Great Service thank you guys some much.
Nice and decent service but holy hell the price for labor is through the roof. 150 bucks in labor just to replace spark plug wires. That is absurd. I mean honestly how long did it take you to diagnose that problem and then replace the wires? Seems like you're just taking advantage of people from out of town.
Holy $&@#...bring your lube, folks! As someone who's mechanically savvy and used to work at an auto parts shop I can say these people will take you for all you're worth. I was passing through town and needed work done short notice. They did a good job, but paid absurd markup and really got bent over for labor that took less than 1 hour. Such a simple job, sure did pay for it though.
My car broke on a Sunday and I was referred to Watha's. I am grateful for their services. Their prices were reasonable and they went out of their way to get me back to Arkansas that night. Good people!
On our way to Florida for family vacation, we broke down on the Highway 78 a few miles from Hamilton, AL around 5:00 pm on a Friday. I looked up Watha's Towing on my phone and Mr. Watha himself showed up within minutes. He towed us to a local garage and within 2 hours from our initial breakdown, we were back on the road! I am so appreciative of this man and his towing service. He is very kind and professional. I hope you don't need a tow truck in Hamilton, AL but if you do, this is guy.
My mother was traveling on her way to Atlanta, she ran out of gas, and was stranded on the highway in the dark. She made 2 attempts to her roadside assistance, and was placed on hold for long periods of time. She sent me a text and asked that I find her some help. I found Watha's Towing using google. The man answered the phone on the 2nd ring, got some information from me. and Within 20 minutes he delivered fuel to my mother and she was on her way. The service was fast, friendly and reasonably priced. Thank you Watha's Towing for making an unpleasant experience as painless as possible.
