Was charged $98 for an electrical diagnostic and was told the alternator needed replacement for $600-$700. I declined and had the charging system tested at two separate auto parts stores, where it passed both times. Based on that, the diagnosis didn’t seem accurate to me whatsoever - especially considering the alternator had been replaced less than three weeks ago. Sharing my experience.
Karrs helped me find a quality tire with in my budget. While it was there they found an alignment issue that would have worn my tires prematurely and handled that as well. My car has never driven better and they will be handling my other repairs in the future.
Huge thanks to Karr’s Auto & Tire on getting me in/out in a very timely manner. Had front end aligned on my 2019 Ram. Very transparent throughout the whole process. Super clean facilities and very humble/respectful people. Give them a try.
DO NOT GO HERE.
Repeatedly asked for a price on brakes on rotors, was told they couldn’t give me a price without looking at it. That’s fine. Never said there was any fee, I knew what I needed, just wanted a quote.
After waitingAN HOUR AN A HALF they quoted over $600 for brakes and rotors when down the street quoted $350. I told them I wasn’t interested and the woman DEMANDED a $50 inspection payment and locked my car in their garage and called the police.

Alabama Attorney General Consumer Protection Division
&
Alabama Department of Revenue Motor Vehicle Division
This was completely illegal and I will be pursuing legal action against the shop.
Karr's Auto and Tire did an outstanding job getting me back on the road! Knew I needed tires soon and they were able to quickly get me in, take care of the issue and even allowed me to get other maintenance done all at once. Super friendly, courteous and personable, I will look there first for my future tire and maintenance needs. Highly recommend!
Completely unhospitableAfter everyone told me they could help me out, they couldn't even rotate a tire for me on my travel let alone let me borrow a breaker bar to do it myself
Very professional and friendly! They care about their customers. Very satisfied with the work that was done on my CRV. This is the place that I will use for now on.
Cons: Charged me 75 dollars just to tell me that it would be 1800 dollars for them to replace less than 500 dollars worth of parts 1300 dollar labor for some control arms and tie rod ends is wild especially when I just wanted my tie rods quoted because I can do most of the stuff myself but didn’t want to have it trailered somewhere to get an alignment. Said they did a in depth look over and told me only my tie rods and control arms are bad I guess sway bars don’t need bushings and good end links either, especially when I’m missing one of the bushings almost completely. 75 dollar estimate charge for them to only tell me what was partially wrong with my front end.
Pros: they were very nice people and offer warranty and from what I know good quality work (just expensive) and use good quality parts.
Ps: the parts I had quoted for around 500 dollars were the same brand from the same store they use

We had a trailer tire blow out so we needed to get a new one for the spare to continue our trip. Karr’s had the tire we needed and mounted it in less than 30 minutes. Great service!!!

Karrs Auto is the only place to take your vehicle - period. They’ve fixed every issue I had and then some on my 4 Runner twice now. Mr. Karr has unmatched expertise and goes the extra mile to make sure that your problems are fixed the right way, the first time. Scheduling is never an issue and his wife is the sweetest! I will never take my vehicle anywhere else.
I called six places or more. Very few answered the phone and if they did they did not have what I needed. I called Karr's Auto and even though they didn't answer I got a call back very soon after. They had exactly what I needed, made me appointment immediately, and got me in and out within 15 minutes. The owners are so nice and professional, I will definitely be back.
I will definitely use Karr's for ANY issues I have with tires or suspension. Super friendly and professional. I went in to have my tires balanced because of an awful wobble when I get to around 70mph. He tried to balance them bur noticed there was a problem. After taking my tires off the rims, he showed me what the last garage did and he fixed the problem. And they were so much less expensive than the last place. So happy I found these guys. My drive to work this morning was so smooth! Like a new truck.lol

Well we picked up a screw in tire on the way to hunting camp. Came here to get a plug . They were nice but to busy to help an out of town hunter! Thank you for turning us away while hearing air leave the tire.

We had a boat trailer tire blowout on the highway, and called these guys who were located nearby. So lucky to have found them! They were able to get us in immediately for repair, had the tires in stock, charged an exceptionally reasonable fee for their quick and courteous service, and were extremely friendly and professional. We were literally back on the road within 30 minutes from the time the tire blew. Cannot ask for anything more!! Great shop, wonderful people, highly recommended. Thank you so much for saving us!
Brian does a great job! He fixed an oil leak for me on my truck as well as performed a service on my daughters car. Very easy to schedule an appointment and quick service. Thankful to have this great business in Hamilton!
