I didn’t tell the guys at the shop this, but I had actually been to 4 different mechanics to get them to work out my air-conditioning issues, all four of which gave me four different answers and run arounds. I took my truck into Ben, he was able to diagnose the issue, have the part in the next day and do all of the work on my air-conditioning by 2 o’clock. Air-conditioning currently works flawless, I couldn’t recommend these guys enough, they do fantastic work, and they are super honest.

This is the 2nd time we've used them. Both were great experiences. They are always friendly and professional, the shop is clean. We will be back if other repairs are needed

I had called before going there to see if they had the part, which they said they would order. By the time I got there, they had the part. They took my car right in and were finished within 15 minutes. Everyone there was very helpful and pleasant. They are now starred in my favorites.

A little hiccup on the repairs but in the end I'm very happy. Me and my wife work full time jobs and we're in the middle of moving into a new home so I didn't have time to do the work myself and I use to be a diesel tech. They were nice about everything so I recommend them.

Took my brother’s car to have it diagnosed for a reasonable fee. Diagnosed as a leaking thermostat housing. They even took a video to show problem. We replaced the thermostat housing which improved the leak but did not stop it. Water pump was also leaking, which I assume they missed or overlooked in their evaluation. They were very fair and reimbursed the diagnostic fee since repair did not solve the issue. Very nice, understanding group. I would use them again. DP

My car was completely dead (including the key fob) and two of the men at Community Auto drove close to thirty minutes one way to help out and jump it off and give their opinions/advice on what to do next. This was my first time using them but definitely not my last!!! (They did this out of the kindness of their hearts btw I’m sure my insurance will get billed but they didn’t even mention or ask for payment up front.

Not the news I was expecting about my vehicle but, they were able to diagnose, with pictures before noon. Quick and thorough.

From the moment I walked in the door, the customer service was amazing. My car was fixed within a few hours and Tyler even took me home and came and picked me up so I didn’t have to wait there. Exceptional service from beginning to end.

After multiple phone calls and going back and forth with a third party powertrain provider I was stressed to the max about how I was going to get my vehicle fixed, but everyone at Community Automotive was understanding and put themselves in my position. They advocated for me during discussions with my provider and answered my 80 thousand questions without a moments hesitation. If they didn’t know the ask someone was working to find out the answer for me. All auto repair jobs our family has in the future will be going to Community Auto!

Greatly overcharged for the work that was done and only realized it after the fact. Total invoice of $2k+ for struts & tires on the front end (and I think control arms?) plus an oil change and alignment for an old minivan. One of the items I over payed for was $150 per tire (not cheap) only to find out they installed cheap off-brand tires that were 3 years old at the time, not even new. I trusted them thinking they were an honest Christian shop due to the cross imagery in their logo but I have since learned not to trust them with my vehicles going forward.

Professional. Proficient. Personable. Dropped off my pickup with concerns on a smell that was coming from under the hood. They took my concerns seriously and found and fixed the root of the problem, while keeping me informed the entirety of the service. They even assisted in a pickup when my truck was ready. They have definitely earned a new customer!

My gf was charged roughly 700 on her 3025 under warranty prius for a new water pump AND thermostat, which is not part of the cooling system from what I understand. Thermostat was $70 and labor was 210. They did however "worked" with me when I brought some things to their attention. Ladies be advised when servicing your car here.

Took my truck in for an oil change, tire rotation and a brake check. They found a leak in a hose that’s actually covered under warranty. They are always very thorough and professional! Great people and great service!

My wife and I brought our car in for coolant leak issues. While there I witnessed one of the techs take time out of his day to drive a customer home who had no way of getting back. That speaks volumes about their character and quality of their people. Within half an hour of our car being inspected we had our answers and a plan for repairs. They handled everything and we had our car back in two days time. Outstanding service and outstanding people. I cannot thank them enough for their time and kindness.

My car was picked up from a parking lot in Cullman by Pro-Tech wrecker because it wouldn't start. ALFA insurance said that I needed to use their suggested wrecker service in order for them to pay up front instead of a reimbursement that could take up to 3 weeks. Pro-tech picked up my car with some very MINOR damage to the passenger side fender. It was dropped at Comnunity Auto Repair on Wednesday of last week. After waiting 2 days, almost 3 for me to find out my motor was shot and it would cost me roughly 3x what the car was worth to repair it, I asked for it to be towed back to my home. Once again, my insurance company sent the same towing company. The pictures below represent how my car was returned to me after showing up in one piece. Of course, Pro tech blames Community, Community is blaming Pro-Tech towing and ALFA said that I was more than welcome to file a claim HOWEVER, thst would result in a payment of my deductible accompanied by probably my rates being increased. So once again, good people who follow the rules and do the right thing get SCREWED. Also, all 3 companies are pretty much taking on the attitude, "Why do you care? The motor is shot!" I care because my car had some very MINOR BODY DAMAGE when it was picked up and it was returned to me IN PIECES HELD ON BY ZIP TIES. The body of the car was fine and it was being towed FOR AN INITIAL DIAGNOSTIC INSPECTION. That had NOTHING TO DO WITH THE BODY & my car, regardless of the diagnostic findings. I care because my car back to me In pieces with no sort of restitution FROM ANYONE. The diagnostics check still had to be paid and the tow truck still had to be paid and my car is still in pieces. In response to "the owner's " answer, No, it was not dropped off after hours. It was dropped off at 4pm. I did not stay to physically see it taken off the tow truck because my ride home had other obligations and needed to get home. While it was late in the day, YOU WERE STILL OPEN and would be for another hour according to the posted hours. Second, while the blown engine is upsetting and frustrating, it is in no way the reason for my negative review. Your company asked me for my opinion of the service that I received, so I gave it. In addition, I do recall mentioning the other 2 companies (ALFA & Pro Tech Towing) in my review so I didn't lay the blame squarely on your shoulders. I wasn't there so I don't know who damaged my vehicle. What I do is my car had very MINOR DAMAGE to the passenger side front bumper and my car was returned to me with the bumper held on by zip ties. In your response you mention offering to fix the bumper even though it "wasn't your fault." I don't recall that offer from your company but if it happened, I'm sorry that I missed it initially. The offer certainly wasn't reiterated at any point and my bumper is still zip tied to my car. I do remember Ryan, the tow truck driver, calling me to make that offer on his own time and of his own accord, however, I didn't feel that was his responsibility given THREE CORPORATIONS had it in their power to rectify this situation or offer some sort of restitution and DID NOT. Finally, you indicated that you called me but I "refused to answer. " No, I didn't "refuse to answer, " I was at work just like you were trying to handle this and rectify the situation. THIS WAS NOT MY JOB. HOWEVER, IT WAS THE JOB OF THE THREE CORPORATIONS THAT I PAID MONEY TO (ALFA MONTHLY) TO TAKE CARE OF MY CAR AND RETURN IT TO ME THE WAY IT LEFT ME, IN ONE PIECE. Thanks for your time.

Was having an emergency issue as I was preparing to leave for a time sensitive elk hunting trip to Montana. James stopped what he was doing listened to my issue, evaluated the electric codes and offered a significant cost saving solution in less than 30 minutes. Montana here I came …thanks to James and Community Auto Repair.

On vacation and alternator goes. Dealership didn’t have time. But they did, and got us up and on our way in no time. Very accommodating. Can’t say enough good about this place!

I don't like to leave negative reviews but this left such a bad taste in my mouth. Confirmed with another mechanic that they were in fact being dishonest and shady with me. So, long review ahead: I had my vehicle brought in for what I suspected was an alternator problem. I explained the classic alternator failure signs: electrical systems shutting down while driving, then the car refusing to start. The next day, they told me they had “tested the alternator” and ruled it out, saying the problem was the battery instead. This didn’t line up with the symptoms and is usually something we do ourselves (battery replacements are insanely easy to do), but since they were already charging a $130 diagnostic fee (that they never communicated to me beforehand) and we were in a hurry, we agreed to the battery replacement ($379 total, which is high for a simple battery replacement) just to get the car fixed and back on the road. After replacing the battery, the car still had the exact same issues. Then they told us it was in fact the alternator — the very issue I’d told them from the start. They were going to charge ~$800 extra for that replacement on top of the $379. When I pushed back on being expected to pay in full for the battery job, they doubled down and claimed that "the battery was what caused the alternator to go bad" (lol) and that I did need both replaced. They also backtracked and admitted they had not actually tested the alternator because “you can’t test an alternator with a bad battery" (not true), despite earlier claiming that they had tested it. Then they later claimed again that they did test it and it had been fine at the time of testing. Confusing? Yes. After a LOT of back-and-forth, they put my old battery back in and removed that charge and replaced the alternator (for a price). Also their diagnostic fee ($130) does NOT go towards the repair, and it's funny that I even had to pay the fee considering I told them the diagnosis before I even had my car towed there and they STILL managed to misdiagnose it at the start. Instead of acknowledging any mistakes on their part, they doubled down and deflected blame. P.S. My car ran just fine on the old battery. It started immediately and several times after that until I replaced the battery myself as a precautionary measure (for $239 cheaper than what they were charging). So... not really sure how my battery could have failed to such a degree that it ruined the alternator as they claimed, yet the car was able to start right up and run with no issues on that same battery. Do with this information what you will.

Very Kind Young Man they have working in the office an answering the phone. It was easy to set up my appointment and my car was in the shop the next morning and fixed before I got off work. The young Man seemed very professional and I'm happy with the work I got done an the price. I already planned My next visit to get My oil change with them. I only met Him so I can't speak of anyone else, but the environment seemed positive with My first visit. I highly recommend Community Auto with the Cross in Community.

I just had one of the Owners call me directly; James. He was Man enough to own up to a Communication error. For this action I will be using their professional Shop to have my 2004 Chevy Tahoe inspected and worked on from this point forward! It made them above reproach to call me and it made me respect them more. I would highly recommend them for their loyalty and unwavering commitment to the Customers.Thank you so much Sir for reaching out.Alex Binkley

We left the car on Thursday at about noon, got an estimate by 2:00 that was fair for the work to be done. We were told it would be ready late Friday afternoon, got a call before noon on Friday that the car was ready. Picked it up around lunchtime. The price was what was quoted and the work was satisfactory. We are pleased with the whole process.

Asked to have my car Diagnosed to find out what was wrong with it. It had MSD ignition coil packs and one or several wasn’t working. When the owner asked for my original coil packs to diagnose if that was the problem, I asked how much extra would that be? He told me it was apart of diagnostic fee of $135. When I picked up my car it was $360, I had to argue with them and they only brought the cost down to $210. I never asked them to fix it, just diagnose it. I would not recommend them.
