I have been going to Boswells for the past 15+ years. They are honest mechanics and always do a great job. I trust them with any issue I have with my jeep.

This is the worst shop in town, I went there to do the emission and inspection of my pick up truck and the old guy at the front desk didn’t even tell me where to park then he got outside to check out my truck and said that my truck was going to failed inspection and emission because the exhaust pipe was too shot and the truck had aftermarket headlights , they don’t even pull in my truck to tell me all of that, that’s what they supposed to do and then if something is wrong they will tell you or fail you but no they didn’t even do any of that Also my truck has stock headlights. I felt discriminated clearly because the guy went back to the office laughing. I went to another shop and passed without any problems

Great service. I appreciate them knocking out my state inspection and emissions quickly. Highly recommend.

Boswell’s has taken care of my family and I’s vehicles for years now. We’ve found they’re the cheapest and most efficient in the area. Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. Even when they’re super busy, they still manage to get you in and out as quickly as possible. Thanks Boswell’s for always taking care of us!

Boswell’s tow truck driver was very professional, respectful, courteous, and assisted me in getting my family to the facility. They arrived within 30 minutes of receiving the call which made the process of recovering from a accident very smooth especially being from another state. I appreciate the sense of urgency and empathy they displayed.

Fast and sufficient. I came in with a problem. They quickly identified it and fixed it in less than 2hrs. Costomer service was professional. The pricing is also fair. I definitely recommend this place and will be returning if and or when I have future problem with vehicle.

So I actually worked with a different shop that utilizes boswells for their alignments. My alignment was done correctly however my steering wheel was off center and when I got my car back from the other shop I went directly to Boswell's to ask them to set my steering wheel center. After about a 2-hour run around of swapping tires and having to prove to the older gentleman who worked up front that it was not a radial tire pull he agreed to have a tech fix it if I returned the next day. I did return the next morning and I explained to him that I just wanted to Center my steering wheel. Apparently he was bothered by my car knowledge in front of the other customers by telling him what my vehicle needed so he decided to refund my money and send me on my way. I promptly went on base and turned my tie rods twice on each side and centered my steering wheel myself however I should not have had to do that in the first place. 4/5 for their work and 1/5 for customer service.

Had an unfortunate accident as we were driving from FL to CT. Troy came out with the flatbed and brought us to the shop where we tried to find a way to get back on the road in time to get to CT for Christmas Eve. The entire team at Boswell’s is great! They even stayed past closing time to make sure we were back on our way. We feel very lucky that this crazy circumstance happened close to such a great place.

Edit- 5/27/2021 - I've had to use Boswell's for various things over the last 5 years and have been pleased with the quality of their work and/or advice on multiple personal vehicles and multiple work vehicles. My previous comment suggested an overestimate of a repair on my car the first time I went there, but it was a sight unseen estimate based off of the issues I described to them. Had I brought my car to the shop, I now believe they would give me an honest quote. I have removed this comment as it does not reflect the quality of this auto place.

Goes to Boswell Everytime I need an inspection and emissions. They are quick and ready to serve. Everytime I'm not there no more than 40 mins. Good job guys

Quick, professional, competitive prices. What else is there. Dont give you time and cash to big national mechanics. Use this family owned repair shop for your auto needs. You will not be disapointed.

I have taken my vehicles to Boswell's for several years for everything from State Safety Inspection and Emission Tests, minor repairs (check engine light etc) and have even taken used cars I was thinking of buying for my kids... I always feel like I get an honest answer on what is wrong and how much it will cost. In one case they even told me it wasn't worth them working on one of my cars because the cost of the repair wouldn't be worth it for a car that old (I think most shops would have just taken made the repairs and taken the miney). Fair. Honest.

Well-established, family-owned business. Have taken my vehicle there various types of maintenance and repairs. I appreciate that they don't try to upsell you with unnecessary services; they just take care of the problem. I feel like their pricing is fair and they really strive to work with you and our honest about why the repair is needed.

Honest shop! Had to be towed there on a Sunday night. Then, Could’ve easily charged me $750, but found the problem to actually be a $20 part and got me back on the road the next day. Also stayed open past closing so I could get there after work. Very satisfied with this business.

They were making fun of my long hair. I been coming here for State Inspection for years. I will find another place for my car Inspections. I know they were joking and every on finding scissors.. But it isn't acceptable on joking on a paying customer. Especially if the customer isn't enjoying the joke.

I was recently traveling alone from PA to SC and was in a car accident in Stafford, VA which is almost exactly half way in the middle. Boswell's towed my car back to their shop and had my car ready to be back out on the road by the next morning. Their staff were all extremely understanding and supportive and went out of their way to ensure I was safe and got on my way to SC as soon as possible. Gave me a price estimate for how much it should have been to fix my car and ended up charging me less and then followed up a few days later to make sure I ended up in SC safe. Hands down the best service I have ever received both from an auto shop and in general, would highly recommend.

Fast, courteous, and reasonable service. My prior mechanic told me I needed a new engine mount when I had them replace a strut. That's code for price gouging. I took my car here for an inspection and they did identify an issue which was reasonable, although obviously not the reported bad engine mount. But they didn't try to gouge me on all sorts of other unnecessary repairs.

Condescending, Unprofessional, Liars. While I appreciate the prompt service, and attempts to get my car unstuck, the condescending nature with which the driver spoke to me, and his attempts to make me feel stupid in an already embarrassing situation did not bode well. His last minute unveiling that the price was increasing despite his failed attempts to unstick my car was not appreciated. Finally, his pouty attitude when I pushed back about the price, and revelation that he'd rather leave than help me out, was the last straw. Do not use this company, unless your'e a fan of dramatics and childish, whiny, unhelpful service.

After our truck started to fail us on the highway, we took the next exit and broke down in front of Boswell’s garage after business hours on our way home to the Pocono’s from NC. We called the garage number, expecting to get an answering machine, and Leonard answered the phone (which surprised us). He assured us he’d be able to get us in first thing in the morning. We left all of our belongings from vacation in the truck and Ubered to a close-by hotel and stayed the night, while we waited. Leonard actually went that night and was able to pull the truck into the garage so we weren’t broken into, which thoroughly eased my mind. He kept us informed throughout the morning and by 10:45 am, our truck was done. We are so thankful to Leonard and Boswell’s, who couldn’t have been more accommodating and helpful to us when we needed it the most. We highly recommend this garage. Thank you so much for everything.

Absolute con artists! My car broke down a couple miles from them I came back to get it within a few hours with a tow trailer it was off the road with a shirt in the window. They took it upon themselves to take it. Then said it would be 310to get the car back. Was rude and hung up on me. THIEVES WHO ARE ONLY OUT TO EXPLOIT PEOPLE AND GET YOUR MONEY. even if it means stealing your car.

My father and I were brought to here by our insurance company after a car accident. They went above and beyond for us. We had to wait for a ride, and we were offered to stay in the restaurant next door. We decided to brave some of the cold outside the store, and owner went all the way back from his ride home to open up the shop and let us in in the warmth. He has great conversation, and he waited until he got a call. The owner was really throughtful, and I would recommend his customer service! He did not know us, but he opened his shop for us. Thank you!

Broke down less than 3 miles from them with 3 small kids with me and first they said they COULDN'T tow, then said they WOULD but because of traffic it would be $250 just for the tow!!! Great business ethics! No WONDER they only have 2 stars!

Watch out will try to rip you off... claimed car emergency brake did not work and that car needed rear brakes and that the rear brake pads were $475 because it was a jaguar...Brake pads at autozone for that car are under $30 But yet when i checked the rear pads they are not even half worn and the emergency brake worked fine so after calling boswells back and letting him know I could have the state police inspector inspect the car with him he decided to put a sticker on it but had a attitude whole time and claimed I had a trick to make the brake work.. Guess i have magic in my hands!!!!

There terrible!! I was driving from Florida to Connecticut and got car trouble. Called Boswell's for a tow . They said I had water in my fuel so they changed my fuel filter (which they over changed me ) while waiting I told them my travel plan , I should stayed quiet because now they knew they wouldn't see me again so if it wasn't fixed they didn't care . They said problem was solved. I drove 10 miles and broke down again. Took it to another auto shop which they diagnosed it correctly ( it was the distributor ) . Boswell's seemed honorable but they're not. They should have there license revoked.

Just had my car towed to Boswell automotive and was quoted 1,000.00 for a fuel pump and I got a fuel pump for 340.00 plus they charged me 215.00 to tow it to there shop and I live less than a mile away I am changing the pump myself I looked it up online and it is very simple but they wanted to charge me $1,000.00 dollars wow can you say scam. I guess they thought because I was a woman I was stupid. Nope not this woman be careful going here. Mind you my family referred me to this place and now we are ALL taking our business elsewhere

completely unethical business practices. My car was towed there due to an auto accident on the 18th of August a sunday. That following tuesday they had placed a lien on my vehicle without even calling me to notify ahead of time nor to tell me what the amount owed for anything was. I received notice of the lien on a saturday, four days after they placed it on the car and not even the tow truck driver there on the weekend had enough in him to look in the lot to tell me if my car was there. They completely stole my car from me in the matter of one business day without even a word to me about it.
