Super convenient for.our move. Saved money by taking everything ourselves. Staff was friendly. $40 is better than the quotes I was getting to have someone come and junk it!
It was good. I hate that they close at 4pm during the week, but I got there 7 minutes til' and was able to go in and unload my trash. The staff here is always very kind. Its crazy that the staff is nicer to you at the landfill than at McDonald's nowadays!
I occasionally use the dump to drop off household project materials, and most recently an old fridge. It's always easy in and out there, and the staff are super helpful. My car battery died last time I went, and Mike helped me out with a jump start using his personal battery pack. Thanks so much for the help!
I've been using the Eskimo Hill landfill for 23 years. I pay for the yearly pass, do weekly drops, and don't utilize any local trash pickup. The R-board has recycling provisions for most common trash (even plastic bags). I place less than 1/3 of a bag in the actual landfill dumpster. Follow the signs or ask the attendant if you're not sure what to dump where.
I had to dispose of a water heater, so I called and the man who answered the phone said that he would have someone waiting for me to help me get it off of the trailer. Excellent! I couldn't have been more pleased.
Very nice organized setup. I wish it was like that in my community. The only thing I had to overcome, I had to straddle the stops to get closer to the dumpster from the side of my trailer.
$5 per visit, even on the same day. You pay the same regardless if you have a trailer or just a small pickup truck. It doesn't matter if you are dumping trash or brush. Should be $5 for the day and dumping brush should be free.

I pay the five dollar per load rate with a eight foot trailer I tow behind my car.
This landfill changed about eight years ago to a pay as you use it deal.
You can buy a yearly sticker or pay as you go.
Any trailer over eight feet means you have to weigh at the commercial scales so best if you have a eight foot or less trailer for home stuff.
It has places for used oil,lawn mowers,refrigerators, recycling....you just gave to ask first time if you don't know where those places are but they are all in the same circle at the top of the drive in.
If you are paying as you go, you will need to drive up the drive and then go right to the little pay trailer.
As far as I know this dump is for county residents only unless you are paying commercial.

Much less odoriferous than other dumps. Driveway and drop off points kept free of debris and trash. Personnel are friendly and helpful as to where to dump certain items. Effective law enforcement of littering and securing loads ordnance’s promotions less litter along highway leading to landfill.
Coming from California where the dumps are just piles of stink and very nasty, and normally costs around $50-100 per pickup truck load, priced by weight ( my 16ft trailer could cost me 250 to dump). This place is clean, very nice, and the price is amazing. I will never complain about this place.
This place offers a one year membership of $100.00 to go anytime of the year as many times as you like. Although the taxes collected from Virginia citizens should pay for this it is indeed an independent dump. Therefore taxes need not pay for it. All expenses are paid by users therefore if you are going to be using this landfill frequently get the membership.
After using the landfill in Prince William County for years I'm pretty impressed with this one. It's much smaller, but has everything organized fantastic. yes the fee seems a little silly for those of us who are Stafford residences, but it's not outrageous for me considering I don't go there often enough. If all you are doing is dropping off scrap metal you can do it for free.

I think the folks at the landfill are doing a great job taking care of our environment. Generally speaking, there is more waste in this country than any other part of the world. we tend to buy more, eat more and dump more. People should be more responsible when it comes to maintaining our environment with more health conscious ideas and activities which limit the dumping of trash and waste from homes and businesses. I think the fees Stafford charges are reasonable and should not be criticized for raising fees, if the people are not doing their part to limit their landfill visits.
I think it’s a matter of how you look at life. I’m a new business in the area so I’ve only been using the landfill for a short while. Everyone on staff is very nice. I imagine if your hesitantly pay your fee with a long face perhaps they might now be so friendly. I always have a smile and a good morning for them. $20 is not expensive, I’m used to paying $30-$60 per dump in California. Ya I know, California is whack, but I’m from there so I have to love it. It’s a great dump, $4 for residential is cheap, $20 commercial is cheap
I've been coming here for 30 years. It has always been well operated and maintained. Over the years the operators have developed different ways to generate income to partially cover operating costs. For those who marvel at having to pay, way back everybody had to have a county resident's sticker that they paid a fee for whether they used the facility or not. Access to the landfill was included with the sticker. I am a little mystified why the lane painting is done in nonstandard colors. I don't think they are easily seen. Would like to see them in standard white paint in future redo's.
Pay for the once year pass your good to go and there whole lot cheaper than for Fairfax wear I work Fairfax chargers per bag here I buy pass good for a,year for 100 bucks stopped trash,service at house 100 dollops a,year beats,25 to 30 dollors a,mouth any day,
It might be misleading to some that the name says "Stafford County Landfill" as this is a private Landfill and isn't run by Stafford County Government. As such, there is a cost to disposal at this Landfill. Most counties have their own Landfill but Stafford lacks a Landfill that is run by the county. So WE the Stafford County residents end up eating additional cost which is generally paid by the county.
The Landfill owners do a pretty good job of keeping it clean. I have not had an issue so far. It does get a bit busy during the weekend as most people are taking their trash out. It's a better deal to pay the $100 for the yearly pass than to pay $4.00 per load of you are using it constantly.
Be warned if you have any graphics on your vehicle or have an enclosed trailer with "construction debris" you will be forced to pay $20 every time you go to the dump, and there is nothing you can do about it even if it is your only mode of transporting trash to the landfill to try and dispose of stuff responsibly. Bs don't know what our taxes pay for.
Stafford County is a joke. Worst County to live in in VA. Firat the dump charges you $4 each visit to take your trash here. I thought my County taxes covered me dumping my trash in the landfill? Speaking of county taxes, my real estate assessment just went up $20000 this year! I'm also remodelling my house and if the attendant at the gate sees you have construction debris, it's automatically $20. This county will rob you blind!
Wow you drive to one side just to pay to enter the other side worst dump I have ever been to. Making people pay is just crazy. It going to make more people just dump on the sides of the roads rather then going to the dump.. In the dumpster are just a mix of everything metal wood. I guess people don't care now about the assortment of how the trash goes in the dumpsters. Makes me think the dump doesn't care about whats going into the land fill..??????????????????????
Don't really care about business, I stood at the window waiting for 12m for the weight master to get off the phone. they screw you on scrap prices! Dont waste your time here, worst rates in the area!
