No one wants to get towed at 5 am on Saturday but I called and Beth was so kind. AJ came out and took care of my car. He was so polite. I hope I don’t have to call again but if I have to I’d call them. Thank you.
We were in an accident on rt 81 in Botetourt County, Va. Car is probably totaled. We are from Pennsylvania and closest family was 6 hours away. Victor Lewis picked up our car, took it to the lot, then took me to the er to pick up my girlfriend who was transported there by EMS. He then took us to a local hotel so we were not stranded since family could not be there for a few hours. He also recommended a great hotel that accepts dogs. He made a horrible experience must more bearable! Would highly recommend Robert Young’s Towing and especially Victor. Thanks, Victor!
Also, the gentleman who met us at the lot on Sunday, 5/17/26, was very polite and professional as we retrieved our belongings from the car. Unfortunately, don’t remember his name, but I do remember his son caught a rather large catfish the night before.

I typically don't write reviews, but I was strongly compelled to write this review about my experience with this towing company. My son was traveling out of town on I-81 when his vehicle suddenly shut down and caused him to be stranded on the shoulder of the highway. He called me to inform of what had happened. He told me that when the engine shut down he was forced to drift off the highway as best as he could but he was next to a guardrail and the car stopped very close to the road. So close, that he wasn't able to safely exit the vehicle from the drivers side door, but had enough room to exit via the passenger door. Out of concern for his safety, I instructed him to call 911 so that the State Police could come and hopefully provide some protection from the passing traffic. When the Trooper arrived, my son gave her his cell phone so that I could discuss the best option for getting his vehicle moved. I informed the Trooper that I had Roadside Assistance with my insurance and I could initiate that process to get the vehicle towed home. She told me that calling for Roadside Assistance via my insurance typically takes a while because they may come a far distance and that the car was not parked in a very good spot. She suggested that I call a local towing company for faster service to get it moved to a safer spot, but said the choice was mine. I informed her that we were from out of town therefore I wouldn't know any local towing companies to call. She stated that she would be happy to call one for me if I wanted, I agreed, and she did. Robert Young's Towing came to tow the car. They towed the car approximately 5 miles and charged me $325. After paying them and making arrangements to have another company to tow it home, I met with my State Farm insurance agent to discuss the towing bill. He determined from my receipt that Robert Young's Towing had charged me for an impound tow which is a much higher charge than a regular tow. He informed me that the circumstances surrounding this tow would in no way constitute an impound. He stated that since they charged it as an impound tow, my roadside assistance wouldn't cover it. He then called Robert Young's Towing while I was in his office to discuss why they charged me an impound tow rate when they shouldn't have. They couldn't and wouldn't give him an answer and hung the phone up on him. That was enough to confirm that they were taking advantage of me and my situation. Just for analogy sake, a towing company in my home area traveled 80 miles one way to Robert Young's Auto & Truck to pick up my car and towed it 80 miles back and the bill was $450 for that 160 miles!(vs. $325 for 5 miles) BAD BUSINESS AND SHAME ON YOU!!!! BEWARE!
On route to NC, I ran over something on 81 that sliced my tire. Stranded, waiting for AAA for over an hour, VDOT arrived, then contacted VSP and your Towing Co.
Immediately your Driver JASON arrived.
He immediately put us in the rollback and proceeded to take us to nearest Walmart for new tire. None in stock, from there to Firestone, none in stock, he graciously proceeded to Mr. Tire. Jason would not leave 2 senior ladies until he guaranteed a tire for us! We secured tire and install while he waited with us.
This young man was a Godsend to us. Being from Delaware, we had no idea what or where to get back on the road!
Kudos to your company for employing considerate people. Recommend Jason and your company 100%!

I was stranded in a gas station parking lot and Dick was just stopping by to get a snack on break and helped me get in contact with his co worker Aj who came and got the car and myself quickly. These guys gave awesome customer service and support!

I had a really good experience with Robert Young’s Auto & Truck, Inc. The company was quick to respond and very professional from start to finish. Their dispatcher gave clear information, and the service was reliable. The tow truck arrived on time, and the whole process was handled smoothly without any unnecessary delays. Our son needed immediate attention in moving his car as he was stranded with 2 blown tires. The towing service acted quickly to move the car to a different location. The peace of mind it gave us to know the car and our son would be ok is priceless. Thank you so much!
I got stuck with a blown tire on I 81 at about 11 pm. AAA left me on the road, my hazard lights stopped working and my cellphone was nearly dead. Rob from Robert Young cane to the rescue when AAA did not. I can't say enough good things about Rob. He managed the tough job of putting my very heavy EV onto his truck quickly, gave me a much needed bottle of water, and got me and my car to my hotel, perfectly positioned at the EV charging station. Mostly, Rob is clearly a good person who excels - not only at the technical aspects of his career, but at the human level instilling confidence and safety and the sense that you have a friend getting you out of a tough situation to where you need to be!
Rob gave me a card for Robert Young and if I had any additional trouble I would have skipped AAA, called his company directly, and paid out of pocket to get the high level of reliability and customer service I got from Rob. Thank you, Rob! And I wish you all good things in life and career!
I recently had to have one of my antique classic cars towed. It was a difficult scenario in that the car was in my garage, down a narrow driveway, and not easily accessible. Codi and A.J. from Robert Young's Towing promptly arrived at my home, studied the situation, and used their talent and equipment to successfully accomplish the task. They were terrific! I had a great interaction with Brian! He came to assist me when my farm tuck decided it was not going to shift anymore! This was probably the best experience I have had with a towing company. They are more than fair and considering the tough day I was having I dealt with great service and professionalism as well as a fair price. I am more than pleased with my experience with this company. I will definitely be using them again if I have another breakdown. 5 stars easy!!

I typically ere on the side of "if you can't say something nice", however, I also appreciate if someone forewarns of a business to stay away from. I would not ever use this tow truck company again. The only nice thing I can say is that they showed up quickly. We had a car that needed to be towed from 220 during morning traffic. When I said where I wanted it towed, the driver said he could tow it there, but I would have to pay him standing there right then. I wish I had taken the time to do that, but since we had already been standing on the side of the road for over an hour I wanted to get off the road. Since I did not pay him then and there, they towed it to their lot, and waited for State Farm to send another tow truck to pick it up and take it to the body shop. I don't even care that they charged $1500 for the tow and for it to sit there from Tuesday morning for Friday night. What I do care about is that they PLACED A LIEN with the DMV on my vehicle the day the towed it. I was there when it was picked up, it was not abandoned, and they knew they were getting paid. When I called to inquire as to why a lien was placed on a car THE DAY THEY PICKED IT UP, they said that was standard procedure. I have had many wrecked vehicles towed in the past and NEVER has one had a lien placed on it. I will let a car sit unattended on any road before I call them again.
I’ve known Robert R. Young for 25 years, but I never had the occasion to need his company’s services until recently. I was attending a local event and while parking my vehicle, it ran into a ditch. I was concerned about the undercarriage. A couple of Robert’s employees dropped everything to inspect my vehicle and determined that nothing underneath had been damaged. I was so relieved, and I highly recommend Robert’s company. Thanks for the great service!

Mr. Gibson was at my rescue in a blink of an eye. My world, my life, my families income is my dump truck. When one tire went over the edge of a hill and it just escalated from there Robert Young’s towing set me back on level ground.
