This is THE place for routine maintenance and inspections. With the membership, oil changes are reasonably priced. It does get more expensive for tires and other services. I can replace my hepa filter for much less than the quoted price, thank you. The line for inspections starts 30mins before they open. Like I said, this is THE place for inspections. You gotta beat the crowd.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the excellent service for Mr Kavoir at Leesburg Va location I received. The advisor was knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient in handling my request. It was a very positive experience, and and I’m grateful for the support provided.

Need to recognize Kavir... Imade an appt through him for last week but was unable to make it... Kavir called me back to make sure everything was okay and see if I wanted to reschedule... which I did... That's the kind of customer service I'm looking for... and the kind everybody's looking for! Great job! See you soon.

I originally came in for rear brakes service and the mechanic had issues removing the machine gun bullet nuts on the wheels... I keep the tool in truck . Never had anyone else tell the tool doesn't work so I was very confused and mechanic asked if it was ok to cut them off because tool was spinning and not working ..so I said ok cut them off but how much ...he said don't worry bout it . So I thought ok cool so I called back and asked if it was ok for them to cut the rest of them off so it doesn't look stupid .. mechanic called back I asked and he said ok and just hung up .. he did not tell me how much they where going to charge me ... Since he previously said no worries when I asked how much ....I was given an estimate of 500 for the Rear brake service. When I picked up my truck that evening my BILL WAS $858.OO ... No mention that it's was going to cost me that much .... Yes I just paid I was frustrated , AND COMPLETELY BROKE AFTER THAT .. NOW IM SAD BECAUSE IM JUST LOOKING FOR A HOME FOR MY TRUCK TO GET GOOD SERVICE AND NOT BE RIPPED OFF WITHOUT WARNING , ????????

** Editing my review to highlight a safety concern with the oil change and the lack of professionalism. They won't respond to any emails to the customer service address they reply to reviews with. Two weeks after the oil change I returned to the shop and I explained to the manager that the oil was overfilled significantly, and due to the dark color I was concerned they never drained the oil. He was immediately defensive, saying that the directors needed to watch the video for evidence and their computer system shows how much oil is needed and that’s what they put in. I took him out to the vehicle and showed him that the oil was clearly over the max fill line. His stance was that if my engine wasn’t literally smoking that it was fine. This infuriated me. If the oil is over the top line on the dipstick, it needs to be corrected no matter if my engine has yet to literally explode. I was sent home until the footage was reviewed around noon. He called me, again very defensive and insisting they did nothing wrong. He said the oil was drained and replaced with 5.3 quarts. That sounded high for a four cylinder engine so I checked her manual and explained her engine only requires 4.2 quarts as it is FWD not AWD. Their computer system is wrong and their techs do not check the oil level after changing it. This is unacceptable. I took the car in immediately to get this corrected and to show the evidence that it only needs 4.2 quarts and he finally admitted their mistake. They removed some oil and handed me my keys without showing me the oil level. I’m on crutches so it’s hard to get around so I had to pop the hood and check it myself and I found it was still overfilled. The manager sees me checking it myself and comes out furious at me for having the audacity to check their work. I demanded it to be corrected yet again, wasting even more of my time. When it was finally corrected, all they could offer me was a lousy $20 credit for a future service for all of my wasted time on a day I should have been working. Not even a discount on the original oil change that risked the safety of my wife and child and the health of my wife’s vehicle. I am so frustrated with how I was treated by this business. We will never return. Previous Review shortened: My wife went in to get an oil change that comes with their multipoint inspection and what is supposed to be a fluid top up. Instead she got this ridiculous list of recommendations. $60 for a cabin air filter replacement is a joke, it takes two seconds to do. It also wasn’t dirty and I’ve done it more than twice on her car already at just 78k miles, so I hope everyone knows they never look and just tell you it’s dirty to tack on the fee. We’ve never done a brake fluid exchange and her owner’s manual recommends every 5 years. I didn’t want to shop around so we agreed to it for $160 as her car is a little over 6 years old. Her owner’s manual does not mention anything about transmission fluid exchanges, so the notes are a lie. Is it a best practice to do a drain and fill somewhat regularly? Probably. But don’t say that it’s required every 45k miles and then try to charge $300 for it. Fuel induction service for $185 is a joke. Total scam. They noted the coolant was low so I was worried there may be a leak so we agreed to the $85 pressure test. Everything was fine. Did they top off her fluid like they say they do with oil changes? Nope. They wanted $170 for a coolant exchange. So I had to go buy coolant and do that too. Another scam. They said her battery failed their test and they wanted over $400 for a replacement. It’s an old battery and it’s been so cold so I figured we better be safe. We bought one at Costco for $179 and will have Walmart install it for $15. Spark plugs next. $157 for 4 of them when that brand is $48 for 4. Guess I need to learn how to change spark plugs now (I replaced them). I understand charging for labor which is a separate line item but a 3x up charge on the parts is insulting. This business will take advantage of you. Go somewhere else.

Not to be trusted with state safety inspection. Before I drove the car to the shop for a state safety inspection, I confirmed all of the light bulbs were working properly. After I checked in and signed the required papers, I was told it would take about 2 hours or more before they got to it. I said, I will be waiting for it. While doing so, there were 2 incidents in which the inspector identified issues with cars, and their owners questioned them. After 3 hours, the concierge came to tell me that my car failed inspection due to a rear right bulb being out. I explained that it is impossible, but insisted they didn't do it. I agreed to let them replace it; it will cost an additional $50. I accepted it and told them I would never come back to this shop. The manager said he could call the state police if I wanted to review the security camera footage. Now, after waiting 3-4 hours, who would want to wait another hour for the police to respond to a non-emergency situation? Instead of paying $20 plus tax for a state inspection, I ended up paying $75.

I really don't see what all the one-star reviews have been for... This place charges a reasonable price for an oil change. they get it done in the time frame they tell you. All of the recommendations that I was given are standard in the industry. You can see directly into the shop which really shows they are actually performing the services unlike a lot of automotive repair places who charge you for them and then actually don't flush correctly or at all. Matt the service manager was incredibly polite and knowledgeable. Martin, who helped me was very nice. I would trust these guys to do any services on my car. I usually take my diagnostic work to a dealership since most of the manufacturers are making their codes proprietary knowledge... I would definitely have my vehicle serviced at this location again if I'm in town. I will be recommending this place to my friends and family that live locally.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. they did not properly provide services when installing my tires. I don't live super close but have them a try since they could get my tires quickly. Huge mistake. Will never use them again. I was told just do it yourself instead which is an unacceptable response when I spent $1000 today.

Update: After an exchange of more emails & phone calls, VA tire did pay for the damages to my vehicle. TL;DR: Terrible experience all around. Poor customer service. They didn’t put in enough oil. They broke the lock on my door. They broke the lock on my sister-in-laws door and left her stranded in the parking lot while they closed. Manager did nothing about either. They contacted me after this review. Took more emails & calls, but they did pay for the repair. I still advise staying far away. Context: My dad is a certified world-class GM master technician. I grew up in a garage. I know more than most in NoVa but less than I should. I got my oil changed at VA tire and auto because i didn’t have time to take my car to my dad’s garage to do it. Prices were cheap. Made an appt. Waited in line when for 15min. One customer service rep was new. They both seemed a little on edge upon my arrival and a little impatient while being mostly polite. I left the doors unlocked on my car. Gave them the key. I watched 2 of the mechanics go get my car from the window. They stuck the key in the drivers side door without checking to see that it was open. I watched one of them turn the key back and forth and pull somewhat aggressively on the door handle. The other did the same and pulled even harder. They came in to ask me for help. I told them it was open. They locked the driver’s side door with the key and then broke the lock cylinder on that door. I could tell because the key now just spun in the cylinder. I crawled in through the passenger side (which was open, since I left the car open) and opened by hand. When they finished I went to pay told the customer service rep it was broken. He confirmed it was and said he would tell his manager when he gets back and have him call me. I returned home irritated. They were supposed to do some sort of inspection. They did not as I had a headlight out. Changing a headlight bulb is no big deal. They likely would’ve charged me anyway. I opened the hood to fix it myself. I noticed that they didn’t top off the wiper fluid as they said they would. No big deal since it’s cheap. Decided I should check oil level. Checked it multiple times. The oil didn’t even go onto the dipstick. Now I was irritated. Fixed all that myself. Manager was supposed to call the next day. Never did. I called. Told him the story. Mentioned all the above I had to fix. He said they always check the dip stick gave me some BS line about they can only put a certain amount of oil per manufacturer recommendations. I told him it wasn’t even on the dipstick. I am no mechanic but it was abundantly clear this guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about. I showed up at the shop the next day. He said someone above him would review the footage. Said he would call the next day. He didn’t. Finally I went in a couple days later. Gave him the exact part number that they broke and the cheapest place to purchase ($50, door lock pawl). I also gave him schematics from my dad on how to fix it as well as an estimated cost with my dad’s labor rate ($50/hr, around half of rates here). Estimated at least $300 (bare minimum since the outer door needs to be removed on my Saturn ion). He said thanks. Went in the next day he said the footage doesn’t definitively prove the mechanics broke the door. Gave me a $50 gift card to cover the part. I said how do you expect me to accept this. I said at least change the oil in my truck for free. He said to call him and he’d take care of me. I left irritated. Called him the next 2 days in a row to schedule an appointment through him as he asked. He neither answered nor returned my calls. Fast forward to last week. My brother’s wife took her car and they broke the lock on it as well. She couldn’t get in the car. They tried to unlock it for her but they guy there didn’t know how to use the tool (air bag locksmith tool). They said sorry and then left her in the parking lot stranded as they closed and left. I highly advise never going here. Pay $10 more at another place that knows what they’re doing.

I was told to come in during a day where they were closed, after a very long wait on hold and them not telling me the store was closed. Very expensive and didn’t clean up after themselves when taking a look at my vehicle during inspection.

I have been a customer here for a very long time and every time I would make a call to either check in on something or make an appointment or whatever they always put me on hold for 10+ minutes, there was a day where I was on hold for over 20 minutes and I had to hung up and call again and was on hold for another 15 minutes again. This is very frustrating as I have other issues to deal with and it is like as if they are just taking their time.

I showed up for my appointment at 11:30 and I ended up leaving at 1. All I wanted was an oil change and I ended up paying nearly $100 for an oil change and an inspection when I clearly stated I just wanted an oil change, when I asked the worker why it was so much all he told me was its because my car took synthetic oil. One of the workers was nice the other guy had an attitude, it was a well done oil change and there is nothing wrong with my car I just didn’t appreciate how much I ended up paying when all I wanted was an oil change.

Get there early as spots begin to fill up and you may have a long wait or leave your vehicle and come back. If you go later be sure to have a ride back if you have to leave the vehicle. I went in 2pm the first time and the wait was 2 hours. I had no choice but to come back the next day as soon as they opened and was done in 30 minutes for an Emissions inspection.

MY CAR DOESN'T DRIVE STRAIGHT AFTER AN OIL CHANGE!!! Edit: my car now has service engine soon light on and broke down briefly after getting an oil change here. I fully believe the scam artists here will intentionally make damages to your car so that you'll be forced to come back. Save your money and dont go here Had a pretty bad experience. I scheduled an appointment about a week ago, only to be called less than an hour before my appointment and to be told that all of a sudden they cant get me in that day. I figured they were just super busy, not big problem. They suggested I scheduled another appointment for a week after. So I did that. I scheduled on the specific day they suggested. When I got there, I was immediately told they wouldn't be able to do half the things I needed to be done because "their guy wasnt their that day." So why have me scheduled my appointment that day in the first place?? I ended up only getting an oil change because thats all they could do. I waited literally 4 hours for them to finally call me back and say "hey sorry weve been a bit busy, your car has been done for quite a few hours now just waiting for you, but we havent been able to call you." I finally picked it up and was given a fat list of different things that were "needed" to be done to my car which added to over $250+, which included having my axels replaced after I had just had them fixed by the same guys in May of this year. So now, with this sudden "axel replacement" issue, my care literally doesn't drive straight. I need to have the wheel tilted to the left to have it drive straight. SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AND DON'T GO HERE!!!

You’re all better off going to another car shop for the VA safety inspection and Costco for tire services. This is yet another deceptive and disappointing car shop where they will charge you for emissions testing even if you don’t need it. They will also charge you $538.76 for tire replacement and installation - for **ONLY** two tires. Also, how unprofessional could you all possibly be, putting words in my mouth and saying that I insisted on getting emissions testing and telling that to my father when he called to check how things went with my visit? When I was on site, I specifically asked if I needed an emissions test which you could easily check for in the system, and I said if it needs to be done, then I’d like that too along with the safety inspection. The safety inspection was all I needed to pay for. There is no way me or anyone in their right mind would pay for an emissions test if it’s not needed. It is so lousy for this VA Tire and Auto to lie like that. It is as if they think younger customers would not complain. I’m not even basing this low rating on the fact that I waited 5 hours when bringing my car in close to 12PM on a Tuesday, but more so for the inadequate customer service. The employee I spoke to with “Johnson” honestly seemed like he was spaced out and it was as if I was being talked at rather than talked to. The manager is no better, by the way - they do not think it’s deceptive and a shady business practice to sneakily charge people emissions testing when all they need is a safety inspection. Other shops in say, Ashburn are far better - they treat you like a person and will not charge you for an emissions testing if not needed. They will actually double check all systems of record for you to ensure you get what you need and explicitly say whether emissions testing is needed.

I’ve been a loyal customer of Virginia Tire & Auto for over a decade and have always been satisfied with their service. Unfortunately, it only takes a piled up negative experience with a service adviser to change that perception. Every time I’ve interacted with Jackson (3x already) at the Leesburg location, I’ve left regretting my decision to bring my car there. It might be time to consider taking my business elsewhere, perhaps to Midas. If you want a positive and welcoming experience, I’d recommend staying away from this particular place.

10.13.25: Updating to 4 stars for the GM talking through the issue with me. The next opportunity they got to help me with a repair was stellar. You get what you pay for. Friendly and helpful staff however subpar experience with the quality of services. If you notice something say something. If your brakes make even the slightest noise take it back in there. Less than 10k miles later and over the 2 years threshold and I am finding out my brakes were most likely not installed correctly. I have been remote since COVID and barely drive my truck. Now because of a poor install and or poor quality brakes I need them and the calipers replaced. When I mentioned the issue to them earlier this year instead of a good faith look over they offered to charge me for a brake inspection and could not even fit me in on a day I was getting a state inspection. This was with days ahead notice. I have been going to this place for years and I am highly disappointed with how franchise like it has become. This 2k+ dollar mistake could have been avoided.

We have tried this place twice about a year apart and both times felt it was overpriced and some unnecessary repairs were recommended. After taking it to another shop for a second opinion our suspicions were confirmed.

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service I received at your facility Leesburg VA. I waited for two hours for a routine emissions test, only to be denied the service because an employee claimed one of my tires was not in good condition. I specifically requested an emissions test, not Inspection, not a full vehicle inspection. It is my understanding that an emissions test does not require an assessment of tire condition. This felt like an attempt to leverage a routine test into discovering additional "problems" to generate more profit, which I find to be a disgraceful business practice. I believe this is an unscrupulous approach to customer service, and I am highly disappointed with the way your company operates.

Deceptive, no integrity, and dangerously incompetent. After repeated attempts over several weeks to get them to diagnose what felt to me like a bent rim, I asked them to pull the car in and put it on a lift so I can inspect the wheels and tires myself. I immediately found a very clearly bent rim, and unfortunately a fracture in the sidewall rubber from the impact that bent the rim that went down to the cords, so it was not safe to drive on. They Road Force balanced the tires the previous week to diagnose this exact issue, and said everything looked fine. When I picked up the car from that balance appointment and the issue was worse (because the bent rim got rotated to the front), they pulled it back in again and had a technician and a service advisor look over it. They also missed it and allowed me to continue driving on it for several weeks in total. Even worse, they refused to honor the tire protection policy I bought from them when I got the tires from them. They said the replacement coverage includes pothole and road hazard damage, but not if it's in the sidewall, which makes literally no sense. If road hazard/pothole damage is covered, why would the location of the damage matter if it's being replaced, not patched? They pointed to a line in a pamphlet that says the policy doesn't cover "sidewall abrasions or cosmetic damage," which would make sense, if this was a sidewall abrasion or cosmetic damage. There is no abrasion on the sidewall, and the split from the impact is on the inside of the wheel. It's not damage from a curb or scrape. The manager stood his ground on it, so I left and they said someone above them would be reaching out to discuss further. That didn't happen. I put in a complaint ticket on their website and quickly got an email back saying someone from the management team would be reaching out "shortly." That never happened. So I bought a new wheel and paid someone else to install a new tire on it for me, and it has corrected the issue. VTA owed me a bit over a hundred dollars for the tire, but refused to honor the policy I paid for. On top of all of this, before I found the bent rim, they were saying the problem must be the tires, literally because they had no other explanation, even though they just got done Road Force balancing them and saying everything was good. So they were trying to sell me another set of tires. This is not the first time that they have tried to take advantage of me to the tune of $1k+. I had them do brakes and rotors all around, and now I have awful, noisy brakes on my car that are infinitely worse than the originals that had almost 100k on them when they took them off. When I brought the car back in because of the noise, they tried to say it was my calipers and recommended I replace all four calipers, and pay full price for another full brakes and rotors job on top of it. I knew the issue was that the brakes either sucked or had some play in them and was causing some creaking at stopping and moving from a stop. Their "explanation" made no sense. After I pushed back, they said that was an "internal miscommunication" and that they would swap the brakes and rotors because after test driving the car again, I was correct. The noise was present with the second set of brakes as well. They said there's nothing they can do about it, and I'm stuck with these awful creaky brakes that perform worse than my originals at their worst. There's been other similar instances, but I've been taking my car there exclusively for repairs and maintenance for several years now, and spent several thousand dollars in that time. I also used to work for one of the other VTA locations before the pandemic, and even after I left, continued to recommend them to people in NOVA, because I knew the company I worked for was honest and competent at the very least. So I gave them the benefit of the doubt, and I guess that's on me. Save yourself a nightmare, some time, and a lot of money and steer clear of Virginia Tire and Auto. It's a shame this is what the company has come to.

My daughter took her car for an oil change on Thursday, September 4 and the person who did the service did not put back the oil cap. This cause oil sprayed everywhere under the hood and left a huge round stain spot under the ceiling of the hood. We have been coming here for many years and we will have to rethink about coming back for future services. I suggest you have other options if you are planning to come here for services, thank me later.

Had an emergency tire repair today - fixed in less than four hours time in to time out. Wow! TJ was a fabulous customer service agent! He took the time to ask what kind of driving I do, distance, and seasons I drive in before he made a recommendation on replacement tires. I’ve replaced tires before and never been asked the question TJ asked to understand my needs. Funny, I had already been researching tires before my emergency need so knew that he wasn’t upselling me nor (based on my responses) underselling me. His recommendation was spot on what I was looking into. From time of arrival to completion less than 4 hours on a Saturday afternoon. Wow! Impressed I am. Communication from TJ along the process was fabulous. And the team does a 24-point inspection and made minor recommendations which I took their advice on. Thank you TJ and team!

The GM Brian T. Was absolutely amazing. Friendly demeanor - and most importantly - HONEST. So many car maintence places try to rip you off. These guys not only replaced my brakes, rotars and fluid, but pivoted to get me a new tire, all in the same day. With the open and honest communication, we changed the scope of work and ultimately shaved about 350 from my total bill. I am beyond pleased with the staff and this location. I will be using the guys for my general maintence from now on.

I've come here since it first opened. I can't believe that I haven't done a review yet. For major fluids, I'll go to a dealer but for everything else I go here. I've experimented with local shops but found pricing and quality inconsistent. As my cars crest over 100k, I'll continue to do meticulous maintenance. Always a great experience with Travis. I will say they get very busy so make an appt.

I have been going to VA Tire and Auto for over 15 years and have always felt like they took care of their customer until today. I had to get an inspection and they denied it because of a "fraying" seat belt. I could not find it until I pulled the entire seat belt out and saw minimal evidence. I took the car for a second opinion and to the dealership. Four technicians looked and were flabbergasted. The cost will be $900. I am 100% about safety and was about to get four new tires from them next month. But after this experience and the condescension by the store manger, Travis, I will no longer be utilizing their services. Sad to go truly, but know that the Leesburg location is not sincere and honest when it comes to actual safety concerns.

The integrity, professionalism, and knowledgeability at this location is unmatched. I appreciate the time they take to explain the details of my service, the honesty they provide and the seamless process each time I visit. There have been multiple instances where it was made apparent that their first priority is the customer and not making a profit. I have been a customer for a couple of years now and have been happy with my choice to continue to bring my business to this shop. I specifically have worked with Travis multiple times and he is personable and knowledgeable which is greatly appreciated. Thank VA Tire and auto!!

I almost didn’t go here because of the surprising amount of negative reviews I saw, but I am glad I decided to go anyways. I had a punctured tire, and needed to get it fixed asap. Well I stopped in a little late in the day so unfortunately, they were not able to promise to get it done the same day, but they said they would try to get it done tomorrow but since I didn’t have an appointment it wasn’t guaranteed. Well I get a call the next day saying that the puncture was at an angle and it wasn’t for certain that a patch would fix it, and if a patch wouldn’t fix it a new tire would have to the next option. Thankfully, they called me back pretty soon later to tell me the good news that the patch fixed it and I can pick it up. Moral of the story. Get an appointment if you can. This place was a great help and they for sure have a returning customer. Thank you.

This business is unpredictable—you never know what kind of service you’ll get. It’s a coin toss. Some staff are friendly, engaging, and genuinely care about your needs. Others are cold, indifferent, and seem to disregard your time or concerns. For example, I took my car in for an AC check, suspecting it just needed Freon. Hours later, they confirmed the Freon was low and refilled it, but then pushed a list of additional “necessary” repairs totaling over $3,000. I declined and sought a second opinion. The other mechanic reviewed the itemized list and found nothing wrong with the car. This raises serious concerns about their honesty and reliability.

Service is great. They have the equipment and tools to help you with any vehicle. Staff is friendly and very attentive. One very important observation the place is so clean compared to other auto shops.
