I have come here a few times before for routine maintenance at the recommendation of a friend. I work in Annandale and live in Manassas so I wanted to find a reliable shop closer to work. They have always been efficient and honest. And the cost for their services is incredibly reasonable. This evening, I left work and not even a mile down the road, my tire went completely flat. Fortunately, this shop was not far from where I was. I arrived around 5:30 and their service hours end at 5, but they were amazingly kind and took a look at the tire and found a HUGE nail in there. They got it patched up and I was back on the road within about 30 min. Thank you to the staff here for going above and beyond to help me during a stressful moment. I appreciate it so so much!
The BEST mechanic in town. We’ve gone there multiple times with issues, and they are always honest. Thought the tires needed to be rotated cuz they were making a noise, and they found a stone stuck in the car and didn’t charge us for the tire rotation because our car didn’t need it! All the employees are legends and very nice people.
Very trustworthy people....They diagnose problems and are able to fix them as promised...for reasonable prices...I have never had any problems...Also they helped me out today by putting on new wipers (when it was raining)--and adding some brake fluid so my brake light would go off...I didn't have to wait...that was very nice...
I recently had a great experience having new brake rotors, pads, and serpentine belt replaced on my SUV. I purchases specific rotor / pads for vehicles that tow or are very heavy on my own. I also had an OEM serpentine belt. Other shops refused to do the work since I sourced my own parts. Backlick Road Services Station didn't blink an eye, they just said we can't warranty the parts (which is fair enough), only the labor and we were good to go. It was easy to schedule, got my car back no problem and am really excited to identify a solid local mechanic for future work. Highly recommended!
My elderly neighbor's 2008 Prius broke down on the weekend, and after driving it to a Fairfax Toyota dealership because their service dept was one of the only places open on a Saturday, he decided to have it towed to BRSS for service the following week bc the dealer's service dept seemed a bit shady, and VERY expensive!
My friend has been coming to Backlick Road Service Station since the 80s (after being referred here by his friend), and he trusts them to provide competent, reasonably priced work.
FWIW, I asked our tow truck driver if he knew anything about BRSS, and he said he frequently brings cars there - many are decades-old clients - but that he has never had to PICK UP a vehicle from BRSS and take it elsewhere, because the problem is always found & fixed. That's a pretty good endorsement, I'd say!!!
Owner Bill Kim took over the business several years ago from his father, and I prefer to support small, local businesses that are honest & reliable. You won't stay in business since 1979 if your work isn't performed & priced well!!

Handicap van friendly. Owners and Robbie have been my angels for filling my handicap van with gas as it is too dangerous for me to get out to pump gas myself.

High quality work with honest pricing. I have been taking my car for routine maintenance to Backlick Rd service for years. Recently they performed the 100K mile service on my 2017 Acura MDX. They keep my vehicle running and driving like new. I highly recommend them.
I left my grand 2004 cherokee to fix a simple brake fluid leak.they charged $412 and they also damaged the cable that performs the gear changes in transmission the jeep worked perfectly and now it doesn't do speed marches. the mechanic said it arrived at the workshop damaged and i told him he's wrong I brought it in perfect condition and now reverse doesn't work conclusion take my jeep to another workshop I really do not recommend this workshop.???

Backlick Road Service Station has highly qualified experienced mechanics and the least inexpensive gas anywhere I know (if you pay by cash).
My Toyota Corola was rejected during a safety inspection based on gasoline fumes indicating a fuel leak. Wondering about the expense of a gasoline tank replacement, etc, I asked Harry at the No 1 BEST Advance Auto located on 7448 Little River Turnpike for his advice (see my review of them). Harry referred me to Backlick Serice Station.
Backlick Service did a smoke test indicating that I do not have a fuel leak. The diagnostic was less than $100 yet getting things correct with Auto Repair is "PRICELESS".
I offered Backlick Service the option of getting back to me before the end of the month since this is my "spare" backup vehicle. In a matter of hours, I was called and now have a document showing no fuel leak.
I will be taking my Toyota to another Station who offers Safety Inspection Service after I have new tires installed.
My 2008 Corolla and Honda mini van had some issue last year. I saved money and time with quality service here. The charges are fairly affordable with third party brand if possible. Plus one year guarantee. Some mechanics rip off asking unnecessary recommendations. I personally I trust this place.
I have a 2006 Toyota Highlander that has been a solid car and I’d like to get another year or so out of it…Had a differential fluid leak that another shop messed up. A perfect situation to be ripped off and quite the contrary… They corrected the other shops mistake… Kept me in the loop… Showed me the part that was installed wrong that caused the leak and I left a very happy camper! Polite professional well priced… I’ve got me a new mechanic!
This place seems to be doing a decent job when it comes to Japanese cars. I've had my Toyota Avalon and Acura TL serviced there. I would recommend them for medium to complex problems. I tend to prefer to spend little more money upfront and get the job done right. In comparison to my other mechanic shop, pure gas station, the quality of repairs seems to be much better, and more professionally managed. Ask for Robbie.
Will never understand why, after years of acquaintance, my overall condition overview resulted in a whopping estimate for brake and drive belt replacement , when neither was needed. The rotors had some rust, as the car is hardly driven, and nothing was wrong with the drive belt; I had it inspected at another station later that week, and took pictures ; Unnecessary brake jobs are the most popular venue for a quick and easy $300, and this is not the first time Ive had this happen. If this happens to you at any station, it might be a good idea to take it to another one for a second opinion, and make them show you, dont just take their word for it.
This service station is top notch! I heard about this family run operation from a guy I met while running a weekend errand. This is what I call a no nonsense, high quality, and totally honest service station. Even though I told them I was not planning to wait around for the job to be completed they completed the maintenance in about two hours. I decided to walk to the Giant Plaza since I said I was not waiting. I ended up getting my own oil at advanced auto and walked back to the station. The roundtrip took about 35-40 minutes. I did not expect my car to be in the bay already, but it was. I walked into the office and asked if they already changed the oil. The pleasant attendant quickly went to find the auto mechanic to see. He came back and let me know that the oil was not added yet, so they could use the oil I bought. They were all so cool about it. I was not trying to save money, just trying to put specific stuff in my car (I also provided the gasket and spark plug). The price to complete everything (more than just oil change) was extremely reasonable! I hope they are around for a long, long time. I will go back for all my auto service needs that I cannot to do myself. Thank you Mr. Kim and Team! Kamsahamnida!

I have been taking my cars here for several years after BRSS was recommended by a friend. Always good service at a fair price. Was lazy and took my car to a shop closer to my house for repair estimate and was shocked, took to BRSS for second opinion and had car repaired for $500 less, a 50% savings. If you need car service/repair I highly recommend Backlick Road Service Sation.
Great prices for gas as long as you have cash for this a cash only location on gas. Great people go every time I have cash. Be aware of there hours for they close on weekends and at nights, not just the service but gas as well.
Great service and customer support. I trust them to let me know what's wrong with my car without trying to swindle me. My entire family gets their vehicles serviced here instead of the dealerships!
This place offeres the cheapest gas for cash only. If you need repairs on your car, you will get an honest appraisal and lowest prices to fix your car. I can't praise them enough! Very professional and warm place, where you feel like a valued customer!
On the way to dropping my kids off at camp and going to the train, a driver pointed out that I had a really low tire (there are still good people in the world). I dropped my girls off and pulled in 20 mins before my train. I just asked for air but they found a screw. They patched it up in 5 mins and I caught my train! Best auto care experience I have ever had
Me. Kim is wonderful. He never over charges and is truthful about time cost etc. I came in last minute and got in and out in less than 2 hours. They are great!
