I called to ask a question about if I can bring the car oil there to safely get rid of it or they have options for it but as soon as I said hello I have a question I got instantly hanged up Horrible customer service 1 star. They need to have better patience next time..

I placed a, “pickup in store,” order. I had a young man, 15 years old, pick up the order since he was doing the repair. He asked an employee, Marco, if it was the correct part. Marco told him no and printed out the correct one. Instead of simply giving him the correct one through an exchange, he told the young man there was nothing he could do and he would have to purchase the correct one. I went to the store, on Braddock in Annandale, and Marco was rude and condescending from the beginning. There was a miscommunication between me and the young man. I thought I ordered the correct part but the store gave him the wrong part. The issue really arose when I asked him why he let a young man walk out with the wrong part when he asked if it was the correct one. He continued to speak very loudly saying, “There is nothing I can do. You made the mistake and ordered the wrong part,” which I wasn’t questioning. I did in fact order the wrong part. I was questioning his lack of moral code and knowledge of company policy when he allowed a customer to walk out of the store with the incorrect part despite his job being to advise customers. He went against company policy because the return policy is unopened items within 45 days. The part in question was a headlight bulb, which is not included on their list of items that are not returnable. He could have easily swapped the incorrect part for the right one. The employee claimed to be a manger, but he displayed zero leadership skills or qualities of a an effective manager. I hope the company considers sending him back to a leadership training before allowing him to remain in his current role.

Oil recycling tank is not being empty. I am no longer buying my oil from you if you cant recycle the oil.

Hands down the BEST Advance Auto Parts store! The General Manager, James K., took wonderful care of me and my car’s issue in a professional and thoughtful manner. It’s such a breath of fresh air in the DMV area to have trustworthy and helpful advice and service. I cannot recommend them enough if you need parts or assistance this is the place to come!

I was told by the mechanic at my oil change my truck’s battery needed to be replaced. It was over 4 years old. The quote was $399 battery and labor, and I respectfully declined. I checked on the Advanced Auto Parts website: 6960 Braddock Road in Annandale, VA, and they had my exact vehicle battery replacement in stock. A call was made to the store, Mary answered and confirmed the battery was in stock. She told me to come right over and she would remove and replace the battery, free of charge. We went to the store, Mary had the battery ready to go at the counter, (she had already reviewed the YouTube video on my vehicle). The purchase was made, and I opened the hood. My wife and I walked to the McDonalds in the same parking lot, ate breakfast and returned 15-20 minutes later. The total cost was $235 out the door. Mary and the staff at this Advanced Auto Parts store deserve 5 full stars, and my confident endorsement!

Associates did not know how to find online orders and wasted a lot of time, I confirmed that online orders can be found in any store because I asked 2 other stores.

I usually get great service when I visit this store for my car care needs. Especially during the day when I get help from Marco, then I get 5-star service, he is very knowledgeable about car are, I appreciate his honest and kind advice every time I visit.

I got a faulty battery, and when I came to return it, the manager James insisted they keep it overnight for a charge. It worked one time and then would not work again. I came back to the store a third time and they would not refund me or exchange for a new battery. I won’t come back for some time.

Great service and expertise from Marco. Tuesday morning, I came out of Gold's Gym and my key came apart when I tried to open my door with it(battery has been dead for a while so I always have to insert it into keyhole and turn). I tried to start my car with just the metal part, and the car didn't start completely and just went off, and my alarm came on. I got it to stop after a couple of minutes. When I came in, I showed my key to Marco, right at the front. He knew what to do, right away, and went ahead and brought a battery(I bought it), and he went ahead and installed it in my key right at the register. He even went to look for a small nail(mine had come out, which I hadn't even noticed) to put in the key. He unfortunately did not have one in the store, but directed me to Dollar Tree. He had a smile on his face, as he finished helping me, as I left. Great service.

Their selection is small Employees are rude And they rip you off I went in there looking for some wheel locks, they had only one option that costed above what I wanted to buy. I stood at a counter for a while, nothing Went over to the other counter and asked if this was where I can make a purchase and I got hit with a "that's a stupid question" I asked for a headlight and they wanted to sell me one that's $100. A headlight should be around $20. This place screams rip off and bad service

10/10 - fairly priced for ultra convenient solutions and transparency doing business in an industry most know little about. If you require a battery to be replaced for example, or similar…look no further. Mike was exceptional, try to clone him. I pass the Little River turnpike location close to my home to come to this one because of folks like Mike.

Near my house so I've been going there for mangy years...lately, the employees seem bored, unattentive and like they wish they were somewhere else. They used to go out of their way to help, Agnes would even recommend a competitor if they didn't have something in stock or didn't carry it. Not so much anymore.

Fully stocked but undermanned. It takes forever to check out. I had one item and it took about 20 mins to check out. I like the place. They offer 10% military discount but you have to plan to wait in a short line for a long time.

Thank you Fred (662284) employee of the day in my book. Late day at work, greated by a dead battery. Got hooked up with a jump start and rolled in at 812 pm tonight desperately needing assistance. Greated by Fred who researched the battery details, in stock, and then the notes....installation minimum 45 minutes, thank you Cadillac ?. Store closing at 9 without hesitation Fred took on the challenge with a smile till we parted ways. Fred you went above and beyond. By store guidelines you were not obligated. Your extra mile and that constant smile made a very long day with a stressful ending just vanish. You represent yourself and Advance Auto Parts in an exemplary fashion for which you should be proud.

When I inquired about my concern the associate assisted me quickly and efficiently. The product that I needed was available, but I did not have sufficient funds at that time. However, upon my return, the associate remembered me and quickly help me. I found that to be quite pleasing. The store was clean and well organized. If I need something else for my convertible, I will return.

Customer service is what brings me back to this store. Had a check engine light and the employee was very helpful and nice about helping me with a free service like that. I always get my parts and car stuff from them even when it's not cheaper than other places.

Absolutely 100% satisfied with my experience; walked in needed help with replacing my wiper blades, the gentlemen behind the counter whom I regretfully did not get his name (African American male) was incredibly pleasant and very helpful. Got me my wipers helped me with picking out options and then installed them for me in no time flat. Absolutely recommend this advanced auto parts location.

I went in for a set of rear turn signals. The gent offered me LED or regular bulbs. I thought why not I'll go with the LEDs and save the hassle of replacing them again. They didn't work in my car and when I went to exchange them for regular bulbs he didn't even turn his head to look at me. He just stared at his computer and said "I cant do anything, its opened. Only if it was unopened". This is ridiculous because the part said it is was fully compatible with my car. This idea that you can sell a product to a customer, take their money and not give it back to them because the product you sold them is not the correct one, it's absolutely ridiculous. The attitude that this guy showed me as well as the rules of bis company make it a terrible experience to shop there. Go to Amazon!

This Advance has a terrible wait just to check out. Customer service was nonexistent. The employees here seem unable to work with any efficiency. In the 20 minutes that I waited in line to check out, only 4 individuals were able to purchase 3 parts and 2 gallons of antifreeze total. I wish I would have driven down the road to another auto parts store. It would have taken less total time.

I ordered two headlight enclosures online which showed was in stock at this location. I arrived right after work and it seemed as if nobody there knew what was going on. I was passed around from employee to employee spending 5-10 minutes with each and someone finally said "oh we don't know what happened..." I asked if I could just take the one enclosure that they DID have, and pick up the 2nd one at another location. (This was after 45 minutes or so of waiting around). I finally got into my vehicle to realize that the enclosure was cracked in multiple locations. There were also broken parts inside the headlight enclosure that I could hear rattling around. I went back into the store and the employee tried to tell me it was still ok. After that he started naming off all these other locations to check. I was not about to drive all over northern va because of their mistake! Needless to say, I won't be returning to this location anymore.

I'd rate them a zero if it was an option. I was blatantly ignored when I asked a bored employee about windshield wiper blades. I should have left then but I needed wiper fluid and when I returned to the counter there were ZERO EMPLOYEES around. I waited for 3 minutes. The guy behind me walked out with what he planned on purchasing... I don't know how they stay in business or even have passable reviews.

Excellent visit. Harry K was terrific. He tested my car battery, gave me sound advice on a new one, and even worked with me in an aisle advising on other mechandise. Friendly, helpful, and professional. thanks.
