Ayer Auto for the win! Searching for a used car can be a hassle, but Ashley at Ayer made the process smooth and even gave my daughter her 101 car buying intro! They accommodated my mechanic by putting the car on the lift for inspection. He said I should keep the car for myself! When I am in the market for an upgrade, I will be calling Ashley at Ayer Auto!

I had been looking for a vehicle for a few months when I found a beautiful 2015 CR-V for sale at Ayer’s. I talked on the phone with Ashley about wanting to see it, and when we showed up on test drive day it was all ready to drive! They put a lot of good work into it before selling, which made me feel a lot better about buying a used vehicle. The entire experience was amazing — I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. This is the second or third vehicle my family has purchased from Ayer’s, and we continue to be extremely happy! 10/10 would recommend buying from them!!

Ayer Auto Sales stands behind its warranty. I lost a starter in a truck that I purchased and since I lived about eighty miles from the dealership, I took it to my local garage. I sent a copy of my invoice to Ayer, and they happily refunded half even though I had it done at another location. That is the kind of service you get from a small locally owned dealership that cares about their reputation. I will do business with Ayer again when the time comes to replace my present vehicle!

We have used Ayer Auto Sales a few times and always had amazing luck with them and with the cars. They made it possible for me to get a car on my own and I absolutely love the car and still have it. We brought my son there and got him a car that was passed on to my daughter and then again to her friend. The staff there is very friendly Always ready to help, we have never been screwed over like other dealerships and they are definitely not pushy. They help find the car they think is right they will not push you into something you can’t afford or is not right for you. We will always continue to shop for cars with this dealership. In an online search I found Ayers. They have a great website listing many pictures and very detailed vehicle Descriptions. I showed up just as they were opening on a Monday morning. The friendly staff was busy with another customer, but quickly acknowledged me. I found the perfect used tacoma and was looking to do a trade in. They gave me a very fair trade in value and could not have made the process more painless. This was the easiest vehicle transaction I’ve ever had. The Ayer’s are a hands on local vermont family business that truly cares about their customers. I recommend them to everyone that asks about my new truck. I highly recommend Ayer Auto Sales. I purchased a 2006 Toyota Camry with only 28,000 original miles from them about 6 yrs. ago. In the 6 yrs. that I owned the vehicle, the only repair that I needed to make, other than regular maintenance, was an alternator, and that didn't need to be replaced until well into my 6th year of ownership. As a matter of fact, I recently traded the same vehicle in at Ayer Auto for a Toyota Highlander. I've always gotten a fair deal with them, they sell quality vehicles, and their customer service is outstanding. That's why I came back to them when I wanted a new vehicle!

Understaffed, but the ones that are there know how to multitask and not make you feel pressured or ignored. They do financing through local banks, but don't send your info all over. Super happy with them and highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for the not so common, common curtsy.

You can tell immediately from talking to Ashley and her dad that this is a three-generation business. They take pride in treating their customers with honesty and good salesmanship. I really trusted that Ashley had my best interest in mind. I purchased the best car for my needs. If I need another car, Ayer Auto is where I will get it.

Having purchased many cars over the years we must say the best service from both sales and the shop were commendable. We were reluctant at first to purchase an older car to replace one we sold but after looking over the 2009 Toyota Camry, test driving it and being able to inspect the vehicle myself in the shop we were overly impressed with the reconditioning of the vehicle. If we didn't know it could have easily passed as a new car other than a few minor scratches. We had previously looked at several other vehicles in many locations in Vermont. None, came even close to this car as to condition both cosmetically or mechanically in comparable price ranges. Being my wife and I had pressing schedules Ashley (Sales)not only took the time to schedule us in at our convenience, but had all the paperwork completed, so we could get back on the road. Impressed, to say the least we were overly impressed. They should get an auto sales award for producing outstanding used cars and exceptional staff. Thank you to all the staff at Ayer for providing us with our purchase.

I bought a GMC truck for the company I work for from this dealer. They were very honest and upfront from the very beginning. The car was still at the body shop and they had no problem showing it to me while a few issues were being taken care of. Nothing to hide. I like that! I needed the car for a very specific day and time and they were accommodating. The car has performed as expected. I put almost 2000 miles since I bought it and I'm absolutely pleased. Family owned business, very friendly folks, highly recommended.

We are writing a review for ayers auto. We normally do not leave reviews but we had an excellent buying experience . From the time we drove in to the dealership and the smooth transaction of the purchase of our toyota tundra . Noah was an awesome " salesman" . He was not pushy on selling. Like you get at most dealerships. He answered all of questions. He is very knowledgeable and has a great personality. Thank you Noah, !! And Ashley Ayers is fantastic . She goes up and beyond . My husband and I have purchased 3 cars from here and have loved every experience. We just upgraded in September of 2020 and love our new ride. It has been great through these winter months. If your thinking of upgrading or buying your first car I would highly recommend this great place. They will work with whatever budget you may have. We wouldn’t chose any other place for our cars.

Hands down the best experience I've ever had buying a car! It was easy from start to finish, and Ashley handled everything quickly and efficiently. As well as making sure I got the best deal possible! I've now not only had the please of working for this amazing family owned company for years 😃. What I liked most about my experience with Ayer on November 12th, 2020 is they never pressured me with, "what will it take for you to make this deal today?" Instead, they listened to my situation and presented me with a deal that I actually wanted to make that day. The transaction included a lease buyout, which added a degree of complexity. After pursuing quite a few options, I firmly believe Ayer was my best choice. The whole experience was relaxed and fun yet extremely professional. I drove two different, Gen 2 Tacomas (they sort of specialize in these pickups) and was given plenty of time to inspect and drive both vehicles. Written records of pre-sales service were also provided. Ashley has OCD of the very best kind and simply nailed the final transaction including getting financing from my bank. I left with a well-organized folder containing anything and everything I could possibly want concerning the transaction. I hesitate to include this, as some people might see it as negative - it's not. Being an honest used car dealer is not easy, and it's next to impossible to be intimately familiar with every vehicle on your lot. I discovered (and communicated) potential issues with the AC and 4x4 on my truck during the test drive and immediately post-sale. Ashley promptly arranged a visit with Ayer's service department during the busy holiday week. Long story short - they took care of me and never implied that I was wrong nor expected payment for the repairs. I'm quite sure these guys aren't in the business of fixing anything and everything you report weeks after purchase, otherwise they wouldn't still be around. But if you communicate openly and reasonably during and immediately after the sale, I am 100% confident they will do right by you. Bottom line, I feel like I purchased a very solid vehicle that met my needs from honest folks who know and love the automotive business. Also, it's worth a visit just to meet Bruno, the mascot dog. Respectable prices and great attitudes. Very personable and a good no B.S system. I came in expressed my interests and my situation and Ashley who was going solo that day and was very busy took the time to hear my situation talk about my options and get me what I wanted. Did not pressure me, even offered different cars that may have been more beneficial to my situation than the one I chose and gave me a more than fair amount for my trade. I felt respected and welcome. Ashley worked out all the details and did what she could to help me get what I wanted. I am super satisfied. Embarrassingly I locked myself out of my car after starting it a phew days in. I called Ashley and she sent Heath up who is very spunky and relaxed also had a great attitude. He came up and popped my car open within 20 minutes of my calling. I would definitely recommend Ayer Auto. I did not feel like I was dealing with salesmen but just dealing with good people.

We had a great experience with our twin daughters first car. Traveling just under 4 hours from Connecticut, we were unsure of the condition of the car, It is hard to look at pictures and decide. As described the car is clean and runs great! Ashley Ayer and Heath Davis were great to deal with, no pushy sales talk and made the purchase so easy. We would consider the trip again for another purchase and suggest them to friends. A real GEM in Vermont, and I thought is was just about ski mountains and maple treats! When they say no-hassle, no-pressure, they're definitely right! I went here with my boyfriend while he was looking for a new used car. I've been to many car dealerships and auto sales places, and this was by far the easiest and most down to earth service I've experienced. Heath and Ashley were friendly, honest, easy going, and super helpful and easy to work with, and there was zero pressure to buy. They both stayed late on a Saturday to submit financing and waited while my boyfriend got car insurance to finish the process. I would definitely recommend Ayer Auto Sales, and if I ever need another vehicle I would make the 1.5 hour drive to Barre.

I test-drove a car at Ayers Auto. I liked the car and was ready to purchase it (completed the financing paperwork, was approved, etc). However, they did not let me bring the car to be checked over by my mechanic (who is a well-known and reputable business person, operating locally). I walked away from the sale because of that, and purchased a car elsewhere the same day. I would not recommend purchasing a car from Ayers Auto unless they change their policy on this--any person who buys a used car should have their mechanic check it out first.

I just bought a truck from Ayer Auto. I was impressed that the people I met seemed very decent and honest. We had a straight forward discussion about the truck I was trading in and the truck I was buying. We came to a fair price and I left feeling like I had been treated fairly. You can't really ask for more than that. I liked them enough, that I am bothering to write a review :)
