I stopped in to when my check engine light came on and Shawn was so helpful every step of the way! From diagnostics, helping me find the best parts, helping me navigate issues that arose during high heat and problematic moments with the repair, and just supplying great banter- I truly wish I could bring his customer service with me as I return to my stores back home. As a female, I rarely feel respect in auto stores. That was so far from true here! Shawn made every guest that came in during my visit seem at ease and many of us laughed at least once.
Shawn spent almost a half hour going through boxes looking for a wiring connector for me. My connector doesn’t technically exist so he went hunting. Thank you Shawn!
Went into Autozone needing a product, which Shawn went and got for me. I explained what was going on with my truck. He offered to come take a look. He found an Air Hose disconnected. Got some tools and fixed it for me I appreciated it so much, I thought it was something serious and he did a simple fix and I was on my way. Thanks a ton Shawn
Went to Auto Zone in Berlin VT. The manager sold me a new battery and put it in himself. Now my car wouldn't run. Tried it several times, same thing, it kept stalling. I had the guy put the old battery back, and the problem persisted, my car still wouldn't run. I asked the guy, "What can we do about this?" I explained to him I've never had this problem before until now. He just looked at me and kept saying, "There's nothing I can do, friend". He wouldn't take any any responsibility, and made no effort to make it right, outside of offering to put me in touch with his boss (like that would solve anything). I don't think he did anything on purpose, he was just clueless. What really pissed me off was he just kept telling me "there's nothing I can do". Such wonderful customer service! I will never go back to Auto Zone again. You shouldn't either. UPDATE: I had AAA diagnose the problem. The computer needed reset. If the Auto Zone guy had put a power supply on the car before removing the old battery (like he should have!), this problem would never have happened. Still not going back to Auto Zone.
The staff is always very kind and knowledgeable. Management is present in the store, and the place is clean. Good amount of parts in stock, fairly priced. Ordered parts come when they say(AND THEY ACTUALLY CALL WHEN THEY ARE IN.)

I love this store (Store 03470 Berlin)The guys ALWAYS go out of their way to help right down to carrying stuff out to my car. Today I got hit with a 1300 dollar estimate for brakes from my local dealer...Scott Taylor took a big chunk of time and helped me shop and get the right parts and for a price I could live with. He took the time to explain the differences in quality of manufacturers, what he's heard/experienced in regard to performance, etc. I'm a single lady who doesn't know a whole lot about these auto issues...but I feel like I can always come here and not only that they have my back but get treated with respect and patience.

Yeah, these guys, what a bunch of "tools" they are. I buy a battery for my friends xc70 Volvo and specifically tell the "store manager" that the car didn't have a battery to return that would be the exact battery.
He tells me "just bring back any 12volt battery and I will give you the core money credit. I was like "ok". So I bring back a old generator battery that was no good and they looked at me like I have three heads.
A core return is a core return especially when the store manager says that it's ok.
You can't tell me AutoZone charges less for a 300cca battery vs a 600-700cca battery on a core. They are still charging you $24 or whatever ridiculous charge it is because they are hoping you won't come back with the core.
I was treated so poorly I had to call the regional manager for our area and tell her my story. She sounded like she "half cared", offered me nothing, and said she'd talk to the two employees on duty that day.
They were trying to insult my intelligence level not knowing I'm a graduate of VTC in the automotive technology program and have been an auto technician and service manager(30+years in the service business)of many businesses in my career including running shearer Acura for over 6yrs and put that service department in the top 50 Acura dealership service departments in the country in 2021, when I got there they were in the bottom 50 Acura dealers in there CSI rating etc.
Those two shiny, happy, special AutoZone employees have no businesses being in the service business.
If I treated my clients like that up at shearer Acura I would've been fired on the spot, no questions asked.
Let me know AutoZone corporate if you'd like me to start teaching you employees how to be kind, honest, and non-insulting to there customers and I will happily help you out with that.
I usually don't write reviews kinda insulting the people on the other end but this was just too much and if I could give less than one star I totally would.
I just want to say how thankful I was with the girl that helped me replace my license plate light today. She went above and beyond her job to get the information needed to remove a lightbulb that had corroded and to put a new one in. She deserves recognition for a job well done.
staff are useless went in to get glow plugs for my Duramax and has to argue with the kid that I wasn't looking for spark plug that I need glow plugs ended up going to oreillys
The staff went above and beyond to help me figure out what kind of headlight bulb I needed, and then how to install it! They spent a lot of time helping me and I really appreciate it!
Rick and his crew have always done their best to take care of me and my grandfather whenever we need parts or have questions about parts or tools. I daily drive a 96 jeep and most of the parts I have replaced have been bought from Berlin autozone. I appreciate them being good people and trying to help. Personally I think they do more than what they're payed to do. Great store. Great people
Had to get new wiper blades today after getting my snow tires on in Berlin.
Rick and another associate assisted me. When the blades sold to me did not do the job Rick stepped in and tried other blades that were more of a fit for my windshield. I am a nurse and driving with faulty blades would be hazardous.
Rick took care of this and I am so much more confident having to drive in the rain.
I have been here before for blades and will be back when needed.

AutoZone is wonderful with customers. Having a spine injury and power steering fluid issues, I was worried what to do. I was told to call another place and ask for help, asking for them to come out and help me since I'm barely walking. The recommended place, they actually have a sign saying they will do in fact what I needed denied helping. So I called here and found nothing but friendly, supportive help. I've returned several times recieving exactly the same wonderful service.
The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and super service oriented. They checked my battery (dead and dying), replaced it and installed the new one!! I was in the area visiting from Aizona. Thank you guys!
Absolutely A+ staff not only do they give amazing customer service but after my car broke down in their driveway the store manager came out and helped me repair it as well as called his own competition to find a part that he wasn't able to order to complete the repair so I could drive my car home...couldn't have picked a better place for my car to break down...
I love this store. Every dilemma I have run into they resolved as if there were no issues. The staff have been so accommodating that even if they didn't match prices I'd still go to them. Great all the way around.
I was very disappointed that employees were not wearing masks. They do have plexi -glass near the cash registers, however they staff are not always right behind the barrier. One employee went outside to install wiper blades ,with the customer wearing a mask, employee not wearing a mask. I won't be going back anytime soon.
I always get personalized service from this store, I just love it. I don't come often, but when I do, it's like they know me. Whatever I buy, they put it on, full it, whatever for me! As a 57 yo grandma, I appreciate it greatly! The stores always clean, stocked and well organized.
Been here a few times. Never really had a stand out experience. Haven’t been in a year or so cause of how rude the manager is. Employees seemed to not know very much about what they are selling. There are plenty of other more knowledgeable parts stores within a rocks throw.
There is quite a few Auto parts stores that dot the landscape in Barre and Montpelier.
Advanced, Napa, oReillies, etc.
At first I thought these stores were all alike but earlier in 2018 I experienced an unfortunate customer experience at a competitor.
AutoZone has this far proven to be very reliable, stands by their product (unlike competitors) and are very friendly
Charlie and his manager were exceptionally helpful today. I had a slow parasitic drain on my battery. They went above and beyond when both the Chevy and GMC dealers in town turned me away because their computers were down. Specifically calling those dealers on my behalf and seeing if my vehicle would be safe to drive home for repairs. Neither dealer would bother. Even a few customers joined in the conversation until we had some theories on the problem. I came back later for parts which were ready for pickup promptly and was wished well in getting things fixed up and home safely. I get the sense this is the norm for the crew that day, going above and beyond. I will certainly head back to Autozone again next time the need arises. I did get on my way again thanks to their help!
The young man at the counter was not interested in his job, was very distracted, and slightly rude. Not service oriented. He got me the wrong parts, and when I called 3 times to ask about it they never answer the phone, I let it ring for 8 minutes on speaker..... there so busy? Doubt that!
Staff is helpful. Store is clean. They have all the things a typical AutoZone has and then some. Audio. Oils. Paints. Decals and accessories. Prices arent super cheap. But they are competitive
Steve and Calvin knew exactly what I needed and provided a tremendous amount of customer service for the vehicle dilemma I was in. They were both very knowledgeable and patient with any and all questions. I now have a new favorite part store in the Barre/Montpelier area!! Thank you both and thank you AutoZone for having such a caliber of staff available.
Starter motor was defective out of the box. Someone had obviously dropped it before packaging as the box it self was fine. Positive post was loose and the relay connector was cracked. Won't be shopping here again.
