Went to Milwaukee location and the employee got all over my case because he said I dumped it in the wrong dumpster???. They weren’t numbered. Asked for his managers name, said he didn’t know his name, asked for his and he gave me somebody else’s name. He’s a heavy guy and sure didn’t like coming out of his “office”.

I came here to drop off a small batch of branches from my yard, I normally have a good experiance at this location but today something strange happened. The employee told me to drop off the branches behind the designated dumpster which I already thought was strange but I did what he said. I went to the dumpster he pointed to and dropped the branches behind the dumpster as instructed. Shortly after dropping the branches off he drove by in his buggy and immediately began to scold me like a child saying this isnt the dumpster he pointed to, and insinuating that I was an idiot of some kind. He then forced me to pick up the branches and place them back in my trunk and put them at a different dumpster, but as I began to do so he scolded me again saying to hurry up and to make sure I get all of them, again scolding me like a child. I chose not to argue with the man as that isnt something I like to do, but I packed my branches and left the facility completely. I dont often leave reviews but this experiance was uncalled for and very rude. I urge people to use other recycling facilities as to avoid interactions like the one I had today. I apologize for others who have had a similar experiance at this location.

I called and asked if I could drop off my old fence panels. They asked what size my trailer was. I told them it was 6' × 20'. They asked me how many panels there were. I said 16 but they are cut in half. They said no problem, bring it over. We get there, on a Saturday, and the guy at the gate, Robert, says that the trailer is too big and they don't and never have accepted trailers that big. I have to take his word for it because the office people apparently went home at noon and it was 12:05.

It's great place to get rid of all the things you don't need anymore and stuff we don't want in the landfill

Good experience. I had 4 burnt out long florescent light bulbs to dispose of. I drove up to the gate, and a guy came out of his guard booth to my car. I asked if I could drop bulbs off here. He said yes and took them from me, so I didn't even need to go inside.

Love being able to go there I wish that there was a way to recycle glass!

The first time I went here it was ok. The second time the cardboard bin was full on a Friday afternoon and had to drive 5 miles to another center. The third time, I learned it was closed on Sunday. You’ve gotta be kidding me. Overall recycling in Lubbock is a total joke, but then I get the impression that no one in Texas cares at all about the environment.

Employee saw me pull up 5 mins before closing and shut the gate on me while lying to my face about the time. Rude and lazy

The recycling center on Milwaukee is one of the only spots that takes cardboard and the staff usually decides to leave early so its almost impossible to make it if you work until 5pm

I stop by the recycling center maybe once Month. It's always clean and organized! Great service

Wow…just wow. Our tax dollars go to the Keep Lubbock Beautiful campaign, and the staff here is absolutely awful. We were treated like convicts because we wanted to recycle some cardboard, already collapsed and ready to be recycled. Never again. Will do my part to keep Lubbock looking like Mars…

During the transition from a 9 digit to a 10 digit my account was mixed up. Ladies at city of Lubbock office were able to get it straight. Thanks.

Limited recycling service. Hopefully it can expand and accept more items in the future.

The staff women was awful! Never had to show bill just license. She even threatened to call the cops on when I asked why, she said I had attitude.

Has turned me and others away numerous times despite being a convenience center to dump trash. City of Lubbock is pathetic.

In and out in less than 10 mins. Pulled up and the attendant checked my drivers license then told me what dumpster to place my old couch into. Very satisfied

Clean and easy to haul off large items like couches and appliances. I cannot tell you how much better it is than driving to the garbage landfill north of Lubbock. The only reason I didn't give all 5 stars is because when I asked, in my sweetest how--could-they-say-no voice if I could "pretty please take an exercise bike that had been thrown out home"? Not only did I get a no for an answer but was told I would get a ticket from the City of Lubbock in the mail charging me with theft! Other than that... Great place

Great place to recycle. They take almost everything even old oil , tvs , furniture ,and tree limbs.

Punctuality must be a hard trait to find in employees. I've been sitting here for 15min waiting for the place to open at 8am on a Thursday.

Show your driver's license or proof of address to the worker at the gate. They will direct you to a bin for disposal. There are containers for appliances, furniture, landscaping, and recyclable materials. Oil drop-off is also provided and there are some specialty material drops I couldn't make out. Easy in, easy out and sure beats going out to the dump like we used to.

Rude guy working the gate. Said the only trash I could throw has to be bigger than a dumpster. Went to another dump and didn't have any issues.

Had an old couch to get rid of. Pulled up the attendant told us what dumpster to place it into and we did and were gone. Less than five minutes in and out. Great place clean and easy to use. Would rather just load up big items and bring them here than to put it in dumpster in alley and fill it up.

They lock this place up 2 minutes early every day just in case you were wondering!
