Will definitely be coming back. Joel literally took the time to remove my tire n physically show me the brake pads n its condition. This makes so much difference! I was able to see the problem myself. Plus he was honest about my other brakes as well and showed me the difference between the two.

Great service, doesn't try to up charge. Very professional, highly recommend him to anybody that needs a mechanic. The picture is not his auto shop, just a great view outside the shop.

I had an outstanding experience with Cortez Automotive Service and wanted to share my appreciation. I brought in my family’s 2018 Chevy Traverse because the brakes were shaking pretty badly, and I needed it fixed on the same day before a trip. After some disappointing calls with bigger chains who couldn’t give me a clear price or timeline, I found Joel and his team through their great Google reviews. Joel was fantastic. He got me in that same morning, assured me they’d have it done quickly, and offered a very reasonable price. He even sent me videos during the repair process to show me what was being fixed and explain everything in detail. The shop itself might look a little old-school, but don’t let that fool you—this is a real, honest mechanic shop with top-notch service. They had me back on the road safely in just a couple of hours. I was referred to Cortez Automotive by the dealership I bought my car from. I own a 2019 Nissan Altima and I was having trouble with acceleration. I paid 2 mechanics prior to him to 1. Replaced the mass air flow sensor (but they did not clean the throttle body or reprogram) 2. Mechanic just put it on the computer and told me that it was the mass air flow sensor even though I had already replaced it. I am so thankful I reached out to the dealership and they referred me to Mr. Cortez. He found a leak from my transmission and replaced the seal, cleaned, and refilled the oil. Cleaned the throttle body and reprogrammed the car. My car now runs smooth without hesitation! His whole team were very respectful and knowledgeable and Mr. Cortez walked me through the whole process sending me pictures and calling me with updates! I will definitely be recommending him to others.

Had my car for over a month for an oil leak. Finally got it back and it’s still leaking. Took it back and he charged me again to do something else to fix leak. Promised me warranty this time but the car is still leaking oil. Now I’m trying to take car back to use warranty and he’s changed days he’s told me to bring the car 3 times now.

Highly recommend. He is very knowledgeable and professional. Most mechanics are only looking to make fast cash. That’s not the case with Joel. He fixes the issue from the root. He fixed the mess another mechanic had done. It’s been months and my car hasn’t given me any issues. He’s the only person I recommend to friends and family. Highly recommended. Joel and his team of mechanics are the best. When I spoke to Joel to inquire if he changes brake pads, he said yes and went through the details of what he's going to do and he told me the cost. It's free check up and if he finds that I need to change it, he'll call me and up to me if I want it to be done. He send me pictures of my brake pads and rotors that's need to be resurface. He send me a small video while they are doing the resurfacing of my rotors, too. It's very black and white on how he deals with clients.

100% recommend. Joel and his Team of mechanics are excellent. They are very knowledgeable, affordable, thorough, honest and professional. I took my 2003 Pontiac Bonneville to them because water from the AC was leaking into the cabin due to clogged water drain. They fixed the problem quickly by unclogging the water drains and drained all the water out of the cabin. They even went above and beyond by offering me a ride to and from my home. Thank you so much. I will definitely be returning.

Cortez Automotive Service is my go to mechanic!! My car needed new breaks and he came to my house the day after I called and I had new breaks in 3 hours. Pricing was fair and he has the best customer service. After that, two of my wheels popped and he got my rim repaired and replaced my two tires. The owner and his mechanics are constantly good with their service. I’ll be going back to this mechanic for every service I need.

Joel and his crew have done it again! I was driving and my vehicle started losing all power and left me stranded during rush hour. I called up Mr. Cortez and within 20 minutes he had someone towing my car to his shop. It only took a full day to replace my bad alternator and at a decent price considering the quick turnaround. His crew has helped me before and I really don't have anything negative to say. Highly recommended!

From the first phone call, service was good. My son's VW Jetta had an issue with the key and the ignition/anti-theft cluster, and it wasn't long before we were given an estimate of the cost and completion date. The car was ready in a timely manner and working properly. We were given a 3-months warranty on their work. Staff was courteous.

I was very impressed with the service that Mr. Cortez did to my vehicle. The vehicle that Mr. Cortez worked on was a 2014 Cadillac CTS. The issues of the Cadillac had was a short also I had sensor problems Mr. Cortez found the problem accurately and attended mean promptly I do recommend his services for future references.
