I have used South side towing company for years personally and professionally. They have always been on point. Drivers are friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. They have empathy in trying stressful times.

South Side Towing & Recovery did a fantastic job getting to where I was at and towing my vehicle to the shop. Very good customer service and outstanding employees 10/10 experience will be using them every time I break down !!

I parked my truck at a subdivision for 1 week ... got permission from the home owner. I went back the next week and it was impounded because tires where flat. Did not have 4 flat tires before I parked it. Subdivision did not reach out to home owner ... just had it towed. 1 week equals 700 dollars. I know South Side was only doing their job. I understand this is their profession..but its a shame that we live in a world where a tow and 1 week storage is 700 dollars. A working man cannot win in today's society. No breaks. No understanding..no notice to come get my truck from the subdivision....just hold it for ransom or let them keep it.

The worker was extremely rude! Hung up the phone on me, claim they only take cash when they do indeed take other methods of payment, expected me as a woman to stand outside on a dark side street in the cold for about an hour or until whenever he returned as he said, once he told me they only took cash after i arrived, I stood there trying to figure out what to do and he says “are you going to get the cash” like hello! There’s no bank nearby and I have no car! These ppl are the absolute worse! They had my car less than 24hrs n charged me $275 which is ridiculous!! People like this who are also greedy never have good come to them!

Very disrespectful company. Was paying for my parking and your tow guy came by very upset he didn’t get me in time. Since he was mad about not catching me, he immediately started towing another tenant. She tried to stop him as she had her decal. He did not care. He was adamant about getting SOMEONE that evening. Yall are crooks! Little, sad men on an ego trip. Pathetic

I had an extremely frustrating experience with this company. It wasn't my vehicle that got towed but I was assisting a friend to retrieve their vehicle. They quote you the incorrect price and when it's time to pay, the charge bogus fees. They lie and tell you that you can come pick up your vehicle whenever but when you arrive, no one answers the phone. When we FINALLY entered the office, we weren't greeted or even acknowledged. The overall demeanor was unprofessional and dismissive. The lack of communication, inaccurate information, and poor customer service is BAD BUSINESS! I would strongly recommend businesses to reconsider using this company.

I'll start by saying I didn't get towed and the person that did i didn't know. But this place and it's employees are real trash...a neighbor of mine's vehicle was towed from an apt complex last night (separate review) for not having tag that's paid for in the window.FINE THATS IN THE LEASE. WHAT WASN'T FINE was the fact that when advised her drop fee would be paid the tow driver became angry..continued to hook her car, slammed the girls car door ON her..and then drove off ( with the door open since he couldn't close it with a body in it. And there's several other people that can attest to all of whats in this post. Gotta squeeze every dollar tho...and your driver definitely beats his wife the way he slammed that door on that girl

Very disappointed in this towing service. Our neighborhood is constantly harassed for quick cash grabs preying on the members and guests of our community . We have owned our home in this private community for over two years .... our parking sticker expired and without any notice was towed with a 400$ fee. My husband parks his very noticeable work van in the same spot for over 2 years... so this was a clear attempt of exploitation . Would be wary of using them woth any other service as its clear they are dishonest and will do anything for a quick profit. A report has be made to bbb and I encourage all others to make reports as well after issues with this company.

Homer and Amanda made sure that my son's car was safely towed! They made a stressful situation be less of one! I appreciate their kindness, promptness and communication!

I had a very disappointing experience with this tow company. Communication was poor, and I was left without clear answers or timely help when I needed assistance. The situation felt unorganized and stressful, especially given how vulnerable you already are when your car needs to be towed. Customer service lacked professionalism and urgency. I expected much better support in a situation that already causes enough frustration on its own. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for reliable and responsive service.

Got a quote from them and after the car was picked up got a call from dispatch trying to give me a higher price. But the driver was great.

The customer service here is unbelievable — and NOT IN A GOOD WAY!!!. From the moment I called, it felt like they were annoyed to even speak to me. Every question I asked was met with attitude, short answers, and zero effort to help. Once I arrived in person, things didn’t improve. No greeting, no explanation of the process, and no sense of urgency. I’ve had smoother experiences returning a phone charger at a gas station. There was no professionalism, no courtesy, and absolutely no concern for the customer experience. If basic respect and communication matter to you, look somewhere else I never wanna bring down on a business But this was unacceptable and I don’t want my experience others to go through

Southside Towing is hands-down the most chaotic, unorganized, and customer-unfriendly business I have ever dealt with. They act like they’re doing you a personal favor by simply answering the phone—and that’s if they even bother to pick up. When they finally showed up, they were hours late, rude on arrival, and acted annoyed that they actually had to do their job. The driver spoke to me like I was inconveniencing him, even though I’m literally the paying customer stranded on the side of the road. Their pricing? A mystery. It felt like they made numbers up on the spot. No explanation, no breakdown, nothing professional—just “that’s what it is.”

To pull over and help a truck driver out that’s trying to get home to see his family for Thanksgiving is commendable. John, you’re a stand up guy to help me out when I was in a rough position. I broke my 5 speed shifter in my ‘66 Chevy 2 on a backroad in northern Davidson county. I was able to pull into someone’s driveway and managed to flag down John with South Side as he was driving by. He assisted me in getting the wheels chocked and allowed me to use his tools to get the console open to access the broken shift lever on the transmission. I did not have to be towed thanks to the kindness that John showed. He gave me his own vice grips to use as a make shift shifter, which got he home. These guys care and are very professional in my experience. They will be the first ones I call anytime I need a tow from now on. Thanks South Side Towing!

Horrible experience. Apparently parked in a tow zone. Which is my fault. However they charged $500 to tow 3 miles and keep car for 3 hours. Then when you got to pick it up the customer service is terrible. They treat you like a prisoner that has committed a crime.

I can’t thank this towing company enough! They went above and beyond to help me get my car out of the impound when I didn’t have all the money upfront. Instead of turning me away, they worked with me and showed real understanding of my situation. The driver was professional, on time, and kind, and the whole process was way less stressful than I expected. Most places just see you as a number, but these guys actually care about people. If you ever need towing or help with an impound, I 100% recommend them. They truly look out for their customers.

The team at CML Truck & Trailer Repair recommended Southside Towing for speedy service, and we were shocked by how fast Elmer showed up. He arrived faster than I I could get it ready for takeoff. He arrived around 10 am and listened to my concerns about the possibility of further damage. Elmer made sure to remove the wheel and secure it safely before transport. He knew right away my axel hadn't been damaged, and his careful attention to that detail provided me such relief. He navigated our glamper through the bumpy roads and safely delivered it to the repair shop. I hope you never need a tow, but if you do, go ahead and call Southside Towing. I would highly recommend their speedy service.
