CBR Towing LLC JunkYard in North Charleston (SC)

The issue I have that I have has nothing to do with me being towed,the BIG issue I have with is when you are being told there is people at the address and you get there and no one is their and we you have food that can go bad and you have to wait over a hour for someone to show up!! No where in my rating did I blame the company for being towed. But now you know the reason why I gave the low rating for such poor ass business practices!

We drove down to SC in a brand new 2020 Kia, no issues no problems at all. CBR Towing towed our car with no concern for the care of the car, when we went to pick it up from their office location the work place was run down and hazardous. When beginning the long drive home immediately leaving their office the entire wheel well came off on the highway at 70 mph, we are extremely thankful that everyone in the vehicle and the vehicles around us were unharmed. When we pulled off of the highway to call CBR Towing looking for a resolution to the damage and and risk they put us and others in they said, “ We’ll see you in small court” I cannot emphasize this enough, this business needs to be held accountable for all damage and risk they have caused. And I highly recommend you look up the owner Ron Black, there is an article showing record of him using racial slurs and discriminating against some of his customers.

your little costumes are ugly. really? knee length shorts? do better. ginger dude needs to get rid of the neck beard, that looks awful too. cant even look victims of this company in the eyes as he charges $250 just to drop a car like the unprofessional, childish, price-gouging, all-bark-no-bite, big, greedy, lazy skin sack he is. doesn’t look good on your company to threaten physical violence as you drive off either. how embarrassing! not to mention they are COMPLETELY unclear of parking rules and target tourists. parking lot was still FULL of SC residents while they made their rounds towing those that were from out of town. edit to respond to the super lame reply: y’all are a bunch of creeps. admit that you’re a business with low standards for your employees and a terrible owner with no self respect :) no numbers or flirtation was handed out but you definitely can wish that if it helps you sleep better at night!

The driver pretty much stole my car Someone called that had no right to have my car towed. Lied to the driver about who owned the car. The drive didn’t even look at a title. Had to call the police to file 2 reports against the company and other person involved Turns out very true and I have the video and police report.

Imagine having a 2.8 star rating. You’re rude bud. It may be a 2020 but she just bought it and worked hard for it. You’re rude to everyone that’s on here. You best believe if somethings not done about this. We will be making a trip back and taking you to court. We can obviously see the bumper came off of the forte. We also found an article about you being racist as is. Best believe if one of us guys would have been down there something would’ve been done. Instead you treat the girls like they’re stupid and know nothing. Just saying you want to be rude better have the money to back that mouth up my little buddy. I’ll make sure to update you with the damage you done as well. Maybe try to not hide your signs as well buddy! Talk that talk. Obviously everyone online has nothing to do with you. My cousin is black and let me guess that’s why you towed her because you obviously are the most racist guy we know. Take responsibility for your actions and grow up. Just because you got bullied in school doesn’t mean you gotta act big and bad

Arrived over an hour later than arrival time than was told to me with no communication from the company. I had to call them 3-4 times asking for interval updates, each time being told 10-20 more minutes. Overall impression was unprofessional. Having an accurate ETA communicated to me and being called with updates would have been sufficient. Once he arrived, he was efficient with the tow.

I want to first say that this is the most unprofessional company ever! If you get your car towed, please note, they do not have a receptionist that will process you and and get you your car. Instead, you have to keep calling to track and see where they are because you're waiting on a driver to get back and release your car to you. I waited for an hour, as I was quoted. Only to call back in an hour and they tell me I had to wait another hour because "they had something else to do." I spoke with the gentleman about 3 times. never did he mention that you cannot remit payment with a card. It's cash or zelle only. I asked why wasn't this communicated, the driver stated "I had a lot of stuff to do." After paying $201, I was granted access to my car, which I discovered had been broken into by the company without my permission. I opened my door to see that my seatbelt was tied up into my steering wheel. I was told they only tow from the back- my vehicle was backed in to a wall where they towed it from. So this let me know that not only did they pop my door open (without my consent) but they had to start it to move it in order to tow it from the back. When I asked the driver how they got into my car, he responded with "he didn't know and he didn't want any trouble." I had to ask countless times before he indeed told me how they got into my car. After a long night, I called back the next day to speak to a Jeremy- who was extremely rude. I asked what could be done to rectify the situation since I didn't give them permission and that is illegal to break into someone's car without their consent. I asked for some type of refund and he responded "absolutely not!" and proceeded to hang up the phone. I called the police to file a report and after speaking with an officer, they stated that they have never heard of a towing company having to go into your car (without your consent) in order to tow a car and they have heard a lot of horrible things about this company. I did not appreciate how they handled this situation or even trying to do something to rectify the situation (even $50 would've made some type of difference) as I felt totally violated when I received my car back.

I watched one of the drivers circle through the Walmart parking lot for a good 15 minutes while I was waiting for a pickup order (that i ended up having to go inside to get). The driver ended up towing the car that was parked next to mine. Sad thing is when you call the number posted on the pickup sign it said you have to go inside to pick up your order due to the inclement weather. You would think its acceptable to park in the pickup section since you are picking up an online order but apparently not. The owner of the car that was towed came out looking for his car, I asked what type of car and he confirmed it was the same one I seen towed. He said he was inside picking up his order and thought it was okay to leave his car in the pickup parking area. The gentleman didn't speak much English so I called CBR which of course they fed me the "we tow unattended cars that are parked in the pickup area and that I needed to take it up with corporate" I explained to him that we had to go inside to pick up our order due to the weather (the walmart employee also said we were fine parking there) he said it didn't matter and the gentleman wouldn't be able to get his car until the next day for $175. This company is definitely predatory, this economy has the best of us and you got people like CBR ripping people off......

Quick on time service! Our driver Anthony’s customer service actually made my day! He was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. What I thought would be a horrible experience turned out to be smooth and reassuring thanks to CBR. Great company!!

Be careful the owner is on site towing people all day every day. No life..... sad

The owner and his entire staff were all extremely communicative, professional and provided a very timely tow for me! I would absolutely use them again and recommend to anyone that needs a car towed off of their property! Well done, y'all!

My car was towed last night. Today I called to make sure there would be someone onsite when I arrived to retrieve my vehicle. I wanted to make sure I had all the correct documents as well and appropriate payment. I was told the office was open until 6pm when I spoke to the agent who let me know it was cash only and I needed proof of registration, ID, and insurance. I left work early and took a costly Uber to get there in time. I arrived at 5pm. There was a small window that was closed and a phone number that said to call to let someone know you had arrived. I heard the phone ringing inside. I called ten times. I waited until 530. I knocked on every door I could find. I now have to take another Uber to my home and I am sure I will be charged additional fees for my car being held another day. Where is the disconnect here? Was I given the wrong time of a 6pm close?

If I could give this place negative stars I totally would. Just pray to your high heaven that your vehicle doesn't get towed by them. The two men who work there are extremely disgusting, dirty, and just flat out rude! We had the window shut in our faces twice, called stupid, and also informed "I'm ready to go home, I have p****" waiting for me, they also do not show you the fine print of a release form, just shove a phone on your face!

So much love for these guys my car broke down across the street from them and the city was trying to get it impounded and they found a way to get in contact with me and unfortunately I had no money to get it towed to my house and I asked them if I can hold it in the back until payday and they said no but we can tow it to your house for you!! The staff was able to lookout and put me in a much better situation if I ever needed towing assistance I would highly recommend this company and all thanks to them that I can keep my car wonderful staff:) thanks guys you rock!!

This place is a joke. Yes, I take accountability for my car being illegally parked, and I happily paid the price for my crime !! My biggest issue is not them towing my vehicle. It is them damaging my vehicle. I spoke to a guy named Jeremy Who is not only rude, unprofessional, but also aggressive. He insinuated that my car already had those damages prior to them towing my vehicle, which is a lie because coincidentally I took a picture of my car the day before they towed it!!! When I asked him to show me the pictures of my car before they towed it and after they took it off of their machine, he refused. The guy who works there Jeremy is a joke A grown man, 20 years older than me being rude, unprofessional, and argumentative. It was to the point to where I literally had to get the police involved being that it is a civil suit they couldn’t do much. He even refused to show the photos and videos of my vehicle to the two lovely officers who did show up. So I literally had to take the time out of my day to file a civil suit against these monsters. Towing someone’s car, and then damaging it is so wrong in so many ways. See you guys in court. I guess since he figured I’m an out of towner that I wasn’t going to do anything about the situation.

My car got stuck in a muddy ditch during a bad rain storm, they pulled me right out no problem.

Very professional during this storm..on time and seemed very experienced in what he was doing.. thanks again to cbr towing and the driver Tony for taking great care of me and my car!!!!! 10/10 will be using here on out!

Tony was an Excellent Trainer to me he made sure I understood the tasks at hand and provided a very good insight on what to expect from CBR towing I recommend him training all the new hires!!

Not only is this place soooo ghetto, The front desk lady is a jerk…. We tried to be polite and at ask questions but no , they don’t even wanna hear that. for them to charge as much as they do, they need to have someone who can at least communicate like a decent human being, instead of just slamming the window. geez, like Yall aren’t the people who should be getting mad, Your the ones who are being greedy.

These people are so annoying they will drive through your neighborhood and look for any and every reason to tow your car, like who does that. They think they are slick by keeping the trucks quiet and the engine low I’m always catching them towing someone car especially in middle of night. Like people please go and get some durn rest instead of being money hungry to tow cars. Everyone in the whole Charleston know that CBR is mad annoying!! Please get a life and find something better to do y’all are annoying don’t argue with me because I will go back and forth with yall annoying self! Leave people alone!

My car was towed by this company even though I paid $50 to park in the lot it was towed from. My family and I were visiting and came back to leave from eating lunch/shopping and my vehicle was gone…(not the towing company’s fault, it was the owner of the parking lots fault) Regardless. The management of CBR is definitely lacking in communication skills and obviously just by reading the owners responses to the other reviews tells you more about this company than I care to… SO. If you’re reading this and in a similar situation, I’m so sorry. I really hope that this establishment makes the necessary changes to operate appropriately, and fairly for their future customers. ** adding that this company states that they’re open 24 hours. Not true… we waited 2.5 hours in the parking lot of this business for someone to come open up on a SATURDAY and had to pay $200 to get it out.**

Since you won't answer your phone. Your truck came in my yard in walterboro last night around 4am. I have your guy ,your truck on camera in my back yard. I have no trespassing signs in my yard. All my cars are paid for. If you are your truck comes in my yard again. I will involve law enforcement.You can't come in my yard to look into the back of my neighbors yard. Just checked with my family in law enforcement. No trespassing means no trespassing. Stay out of my yard.

They towed a car that was allowed on the parking lot Lmao your call center told the resident of the apartments to call again at 5pm so you could collect an over night fee you crooks

Price gauging to the tenth power. Tow and 1 night storage 1100.00 (Greed is an understatement for this business!!!) Update: I found out why buddy charge so much, he has know trucks to tow so he uses elite towing and double the price....wow what type of fraudulent buisness is this guy running??? Laugh and insult now but I promise one day you will give account and stand in front of God who will judge you for all your deeds. "Warning comes before destruction, repent while you yet have time!!!!"

Dangerous driving on this heavy rainy day 3/9/2024. Whipping in & out of lanes on Hwy 52 causing several cars to swerve and/or slam on brakes. I didn't see a truck number on the purple & white tow truck. **Edit** The owner's reply to this is surprisingly fowl- Not at all concerned that your company members drive erratic. Hopefully no one is severely injured by one of your drivers.

Great experience. My car was overheating and the owner was kind enough to tow my vehicle back to his shop. Once there, he noticed it was a simple fix and replaced a part at no charge for labor. Great customer service!!!!

My vehicle was towed from my apartment complex earlier today because my expiration sticker fell off (been off for months). I contacted the company advised him my tag/sticker is valid (proof inside the car). The person answering the phone was extremely rude and unprofessional. Advised me they finally caught me and the only way I could get my car back was to pay the $250 fee and bring my DL. Told me I could speak to the owner if I called back on Monday but I'd have to pay the storage fee also. Thank goodness conversation was recorded and a witness was on 3way. Its one thing to make things up but totally unnecessary to LIE about what was said during the conversation to try to make you/your business sound good. Owner was not available to speak with me on the phone about my car but very quick to respond to reviews online.
