I had a horrible experience with Jim towing especially with William. My car was stolen over the weekend and it was recovered by North Charleston police they did not call me to recover my car, but instead they called the tow company to tow my car so when I was informed on Sunday that my car was recovered , Goose Creek Police Department told me I did not have to pay for the tow so I called Jim towing to retrieve my car and I spoke with William. He was nasty. He had no empathy. He even told me he has to get paid people get their cars stolen all the time. I understand that everybody has a business to run, but please when you are running a business have some type of empathy, especially when somebody is in a situation where their car is stolen. I did not have $185 to retrieve my car so I had to beg and borrow to get that money to get my car because Jim’s Tow company, especially William had no empathy or any compassion for me as the victim. I will never use this place. I had to tow my car from here and I did not use them. I called AAA. I will not give them any of my money ever again. Reading the other reviews it seems like it’s a color thing. If you are a certain color, you get treated like a regular human being! UPDATE!!!! I received a call from Jims Tow asking that I remove my review, and I was told that legal action may be taken if I do not. I want to be clear that my review reflects my personal experience and feelings about the situation. I respect that businesses may not always agree with feedback, but as a consumer I also have the right to share my honest experience. My intention is not to create conflict, but simply to express how the situation affected me.

My car died on 26 in pretty heavy traffic. Called Jim's and they said it would be 30-45 min. Austin showed up and was loading my car up in 20 min. Driver was super nice and brought me and my dead car home. He also helped push my car in the yard to a spot out of the way. Cost was very reasonable. Definitely call if you need a quick tow. Ask for Austin.

The very compassionate person who released the car to us was very caring and did everything possible to assist us. Hope to never go again if you know what I mean. Car was impounded due to a police matter and they were great to work with.

Had a great experience with Jim's Towing. I had to tow a box truck, and they did an excellent job. Malik, the driver, was extremely careful and methodical in setting the tow. I understood why when I later learned that he was a U.S. Army veteran which also explained his careful and respectful attitude as he answered every question I had. Their management team should be proud to have him on board.

I had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience with this towing company on New Year’s Day. My vehicle was towed from a location where it had been parked with permission. The company falsely claimed that I had parked without authorization, that I was intoxicated, and that both the fire station and hotel management requested the tow—all blatant lies. It was clear this wasn’t a routine tow but an act of retaliation. My former employer contacted and falsely alleged I had parked drunk and without permission. During my time working at Homewood Suites, I know for a fact we never towed vehicles because it was considered “too much of a headache.” The company’s actions were directly tied to my past association with my ex-employer, making this an obvious case of retaliation. The tow itself caused significant damage to my vehicle. My car was dragged over a curb to load it onto the truck, which resulted in a popped tire and a scraped rim. When I contacted the towing company, they initially denied responsibility and claimed they didn’t know anything about the damage. However, when I arrived to retrieve my vehicle, I caught them actively working on it, trying to repair the damage without notifying me. They repeatedly tried to gaslight me, insisting the tire was already damaged, despite my photographic evidence proving otherwise. It wasn’t until I threatened to involve the authorities and file a report for destruction of private property that they finally offered a solution. The two options were: 1. Pay $210 for the tow, and they would replace my tire and rim at their expense. 2. Pay $125 and keep the replacement tire they had already installed. Under pressure and with limited options, I chose the second option. In hindsight, this was a mistake, as the replacement tire wasn’t properly aligned, leaving my car unsafe to drive. This company’s actions were unethical and unprofessional. If you see the name Robert or Homewood Suites associated with a tow request, proceed with extreme caution—this is likely retaliation, as it was in my case. This entire experience was avoidable. I strongly urge anyone dealing with this company to document everything and be prepared to involve law enforcement or legal counsel. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Happy New Years everyone!

We contracted Jim's Towing for our HOA and almost every time we call it goes directly to voice mail. I have messaged the Facebook page and get the oh we must be on the other line. That excuse works for a few times but when I call for 24 hours and it goes directly to voice mail and never get a call back to my countless messages it's ridiculous.

The lady working there was sooo nice. Offered my pop and water and because I was injured she helped my friend lift a giant box out of my car and some other large items. Thank you

The lady we spoke to was nice but after my boyfriend's wreck, several hundred dollars was missing from his glove compartment when we arrived at their lot after leaving the hospital. Talk about adding insult to injury.

Wait 4 hours for AAA, then I called Jim’s after being turned away by several other towing companies, and they got to me in under 30 minutes from when I called. It was a saving grace and they’re service was not only fast but the driver was so nice and made sure I was getting home safely. Give them a call I know I will be!
