This place feels very sketchy and unprofessional. I went multiple times to retrieve my car and was treated rudely each time. I also experienced discriminatory behavior from staff, which made the situation even worse.
I was charged nearly $1,000 in fees for my car being in their lot for only four days. When I tried to pay with a credit card to get my car released, I was told they only accept cash. I then asked about paying by check and was told no, even though they later admitted they do accept checks. The lack of transparency and inconsistent information was extremely frustrating.
Between the excessive fees, refusal to accept standard payment methods, and poor treatment, this business appears to take advantage of customers. I strongly recommend avoiding this place and not having your vehicle towed here.At all costs

I can’t say enough good things about Blalock's After dealing with several of the big chain shops in the area—and even getting ripped off at one of them—I finally found a place that treats customers the right way. Every visit here has been a pleasure. The team is professional, straightforward, and most importantly, honest!!
Unlike the larger chains Blalock's doesn’t try to upsell or push unnecessary work. They take the time to explain what’s going on, give fair pricing, and deliver quality service you can trust. It’s refreshing to know there’s still a shop that values integrity and customer care.
If you’re tired of the runaround at the big names, this is the place to go. Blalock's has earned my business for good, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, honest automotive service in the area.
Lorrie is amazing. She helped me with an issue I had with a title. I can tell she is super experienced, and fixed the problem right away. I've been going to her ever since.
How is it possible that someone i know bought a car gets it inspected by this shady tree mechanic shop & the same day the car breaks down, how does it pass inspection? ?. 0 stars for this place. Places like this is why I go to the dealership. I know it's expensive but I know it will get done right & if I have an issue it's on the dealer & not joe shomo that doesn't work there no more. Come on you got to do better.

Had to get brakes checked out and was referred over to Blalock's. The guys are professional and very courteous. I'll bring my car back for maintenance and service whenever in the area. Thanks guys!
I have to say that this place is probably the ONLY place that I have EVER been to that didn't try to sell me a service that I didn't need!
They even took care of a screw in my window that fell out and didn't charge me. They didn't have to do that.
It's still their time & labor.
My friend has been going there for over 30 years and sent me to Blalocks. What a Godsend!

Over all very poor experience. Shoddy work and being yelled at, called a liar and an extortionist by the owner is not a great way to do business!
I grew up in Levittown but now live in Lancaster. My mother recently passed and I took over her Jeep. It needed brakes and rotors all the way around. Took it to Blalocks hoping to get the work done and bring the jeep back to Lancaster where I live.
Blalocks changed the break pads, rotors, and inspect and register the vehicle. I drive it home to Lancaster and within one day of driving, I ALMOST REAR-END SOMEONE! My breaks start grinding and stuttering and just not operating correctly. I get it home safely to find that one of my rear break assemblies is smoking hot and the entire caliper is falling off!
I called Blalocks to let them know what happened and they agreed to come tow the car back out to their garage and check it out. The next day they called and said, that it was the caliper and that one of their guys accidentally didn't tighten a caliper bolt well enough and that it fell off. He replaced the bolt and we were done. I was NOT HAPPY to say the least.
I was put on the phone with Ray Blalock and I insisted that the entire assembly (pads, rotor and caliper) on that wheel all be replaced on their dime. He reluctantly agreed. They had my car for 5 days! After the work was done Ray told me I would have to pick my car up, that he would not tow it back out to me (remember I live in Lancaster and they have my car).
When I told Ray that I was almost in an accident due to their poor work he called me a liar and said that never happened. Additionally, I suggested that due to the poor work already done, and now the inconvenience of not having my vehicle for 5 days, that I be refunded the money I paid for the work in the first place. At this point Ray called me an extortionist and said that I was just trying to get money out of him.
Will never do business with them again nor will I recommend them.

Blalock’s is a scam. Had an org help me pay for car repairs. Blalock’s charged them $800 for an alternator bracket to be replaced. JUST a bracket. Car breaks down again. Blalock’s charges ANOTHER $800 to replace the ACTUAL alternator. My car breaks down AGAIN. At this point the org and I together have put $1600 into my car. I take it to another mechanic and they said Blalock’s messed up my power steering pump while putting in my alternator. Shame on you for taking advantage of nonprofits and young women. I will definitely be looking into reporting to the better business bureau.
if i could rate more ✨️ i would. even though having your car towed is an inconvient expensive aggrevating event, the staff at blalocks was extremly understanding, helpful, and friendly. They went above and beyond to help me which unfortunately in the world we live in is few and far between to put it lightly,
Had a alternator replaced and they broke the pigtail clip off and zip tied it on. Payed $400 for my car to run a day and lose out on 5 days of work because of the trashy job they did. Basically told me I was burnt. Highly recommend you don’t use their services. Communication in that business is horrible.
Excellent work done in a timely manner (they don't have your car sitting for days until they get to it) and fair, reasonable pricing. There are many other garages that try to take advantage of people who are not familiar with the cost of repairs, but at Blalock's, I trust Jeff completely with the price I'm quoted for a repair.
Went in for stripped lug nuts and mechanic noticed a drip, turned out my trans pan was rusting through. Thank you guys for catching the issue and saving me tons of money! Honest, courteous, quick service. You just gotta appreciate when something gets found before it's too late! Thank you all!!!
Took my car there after reedman Chevrolet told me it would cost almost 1500 for my car to pass inspection and emissions. And reedmans also broke my clamp on my cold air intake causing it to stall many times in traffic .took car to blalocks auto in Bristol and car passed emissions and inspection for a total of 75 bucks .thank you bill and bob for doing a great job and being honest .stay away from reedman toll Chevrolet. They work off commission and they try to rib you off ..
What can I say? It's difficult to trust mechanics, between the jokes you hear and the experiences we've all had, we are all wary of the people we trust with our cars. But after 7 years, I can say, without a doubt, Blalocks is honest, timely and very well priced. I've trusted all my vehicles (5 at least) with Blalocks and never had a complaint. When they tell you it will be done, it's done. When they give you a price, it either beats everyone else or it's so close that it's not worth risking a shop you don't know or a place you dont trust. Blalocks will take care of you, they've always taken care of us.
I needed a tow truck on the interstate...they arrived within 10 minsutes ! On News year's Eve, Ray had his team fix my truck within the hour!!

Took 40 minutes to transfer a title,tags and registration!!! But at least they were nice to me! I would use them again if I was to be in the area again!!!
Horrible customer service talked to me like I was less of a human I'm guessing cuz of my age different but I'll never bring anything to this shop had something impounded here and they gave me a hard time getting it back they held me stuff extra days to get more money and I had to have the police handle it so dont trust this place they tryna steal ur money !
Great repair place, get your vehicle inspected ,get registration done ,buy your lottery tickets, a good conversation. Nice owners the guys get along well.
Car was hit then towed to police station by blalock's I was charged $125.00 (approx 4 miles) then blalock's towed car from police station to blalock's lot (approx 2 miles) an charged $125.00 again. Then I got Rob's Auto to tow car from blalock's lot to my home and I was charged $55.00 (approx 5 miles). Did blalock's over charged me you decide. blalocks also refused to give me my keys so I had to call police to receive them.
