After a long thanksgiving evening I forgot to take the bins out this morning.Thank you to the driver that went out of their way to make the pick-up after I missed it. I appreciate you, my wife woulda been pissed.

Absolutely wonderful service! As first-time homeowners, setting up utilities felt overwhelming at first but Jan at Hoodview Disposal & Recycling made the entire process so easy and stress free. She was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful every step of the way. Jan took the time to clearly explain everything I needed to know, answered all my questions without rushing, and made sure we were completely set up with trash and recycling service. Terrible company, every Tuesday there is new trash and recycling strewn about along the side of our street. I’ve called them. I’ve called the county and it’s just piling up out there every Tuesday pick up day. More litter shows up on the side of the road. This company needs to take responsibility for their litter! Regular citizens get fined for littering, but this company litters all over the streets with no accountability.

Damascus Centennial Park, the little gem of a Park, tucked away in Damascus is open to the public, owned and operated by volunteers as a non-profit. The Park was created in 1959 during the Oregon Centennial. Hoodview Disposal & Recycling has graciously provided us with excellent service for many, many years.

Customer service (thanks Mary-Anne!) was friendly and helped me set up my service and understand all of the available options for bins, miscellaneous services, and potential fees (and how to avoid them). It remains to be seen if their actual disposal service will match their customer service quality, but I’ve had a positive experience so far.

I went out to my car to go to work this am only to see that the garbage man had dropped the diaper pail bag and smear it 5 feet down the road. There was poop all over the street and on my recycle bin. A diaper had been destroyed. So there was that and the diaper crystals all over the road. Not a good start to my am. They drop stuff almost every week but this was ridiculous!

We have lived in Sandy for over 7 years and they just started to charge us for the brown yard debri bags. They were full of leaves and charged us over $20.00 for 7 bags.

We have gone around and around with trying to work with this company. We had dumpster service, which was ideal for the size of our company. Until the day one of their employees let one of the dumpsters roll into one of our company vehicles. Their answer to this problem was to deliver multiple smaller cans, (one dozen to be exact) which have locks on each can. This is not only a logistical nightmare for our staff and usability... they have been very unresponsive in picking up not only the garbage on time (as in a regularly scheduled pick up date), but the recycling... which sits overflowing as I am writing this. We seem to get no where except in continuous un professional arguments, finger pointing and rotating excuses. It's pretty simple... provide the service your customers are paying you for. Unfortunately, due to city rules and covenants, we are limited to enlisting other garbage collection services. Don't be fooled, apparently - Hoodview Disposal operates under many names and DBA's. Very unhappy with this service.

UPDATD: 06/12/23 I have sold my home and was told last Thursday trash would be gone. My realtor and new resident have informed me otherwise.Very frustrating!I have called 4 times to request a simple missed pick up, all 4 times I have been told someone would be out. Yet here it sits still full. Highly unprofessional and doesn’t seem to value customers.

I'm not usually one to leave bad reviews, but I am absolutely FED UP with this company. We've lived in a townhouse community with little parking and tight streets for 5 years and have never once had an issue. Now there's a new driver on our route and he started about a month ago. He has had some sort of "safety hazard complaint" every single week. Where our bins are, where the cars are parked, how heavy the bins are, etc. We've called Hoodview 3 times in 2½ weeks with NO solution for us (or even our direct neighbors) and we have only been met with rude customer service agents that just repeat the same thing over and over and over, never actually acknowledging the issue. This week, our trash, and our neighbor's was skipped completely because there was a vehicle "blocking our bins." This is false, because we specifically have been moving our bins onto our neighbor's property, as requested by this new driver, so that even if someone in our neighborhood parked in front of our house, the bins would still be accessible. Let me say again, we have not had a single issue for FIVE YEARS until this new driver claims that everything is a safety hazard. We are SO close to canceling our trash service because this is just getting out of hand, and none of it is our fault or in our control, yet they want to charge us extra when they skip our bins. And to the lady I spoke to today, PAM, you were absolutely horrible, inconsiderate and unprofessional, and I hope I never have to deal with your condescending and careless attitude again. Really bad customer service. They sent me the wrong information and then wanted to charge me to come pick up my trash and recycling on my normal pickup day. Instead of honoring their word, they made up excuses to try and charge me extra. Do yourself a favor and go with a different waste management company.

Horrible customer service. Customer of 20 years and I ordered the wrong size dumpster. Have nothing in the dumpster for them to dispose of, and refuse to give me any sort of a credit back. I understand a pick up fee maybe, but no reason to keep all of my money when it was a honest mistake.

They need to be investigated for fraud! My recycling bin is missing again and they want to charge for a new one each time! And it is only recycle that I have to take out 500yards from my house down the driveway because their recycle truck refusing to do curb pickup next to my house. Garbage disposal truck however has no problem doing the roundabout and picking up. Neighbors don't know anything about this they all have their own but mine keeps getting stolen! Its a great scam they are running since they know i don't have cameras next to my house to catch them so why not and take it and charge once every couple months! And why is one driver can do curb pickup and the other one can't just think about this for a moment!

trash service lol. Each driver is extremely lazy. When trash spills from their trucks they will never get out of the driver seat. I had a TV box for curbside pick up. Driver left it on the sidewalk. You know why? Lazy and never get out of the driver seat smh.

Negative comments below don't lie...Staffing has no respect or good customer service not pleasant to deal with one bit after waiting for 45 minute hold to talk to billing which they don't handle to begin with... They outsource it to another company and if you were already set up for automatic payment previously they don't care about the fees you occurred after they switched to a new company... All around terrible company to deal with. Dealing with this company for the last 3 years they hardly ever pick up glass recycling and do nothing with yard debris where we live but charge top rates that have consistently gone up for no reason.

Overpriced monopoly service in the area and refused to provide credit for a week of service not provided due to weather. Update - don't waste time calling EVERY TIME in over a year now there's an automated message informing delays due to high call volume. Translation, they don't want to hire adequate customer service staff. I left a message with my account number, service address and name and they just don't call back over a billing issue. Add that on top of missed service and how they wanted to make it up drop from a two to a one star. What happened to this place? They used to be fantastic up to a couple years ago.

One of the worst company ever. I would go with another company if you have a choice. When you call, long hold time. Over 45 minutes or more. Staffs are rude and unprofessional. They are quick to pinpoint the problem on you. When you have inquires, they are not helpful. The customer is always wrong moto. It’s not us but a you problem. They changed payment system 2-3 times since I’ve been with them (6 years). Each time there’s a payment system change, the payment increases significantly or is flat out incorrect (the customer is over charged) even though I pay on time. I mean how hard is it to provide service, be transparent on what cycle you are charging customers for, and actually billing them correctly. And if there are snow days, weather problems and they missed trash pickup for 2 weeks straight. Shouldn’t you credit the customer and not charge them? Very frustrated with this company.

I've had a great experience with this company for the past 3 years plus. Their drivers are very friendly and have gone out of their way many times when I didn't have my bin out early enough. They grab it on their way out and have come back out after I called to ask for a pickup when I flat out forgot about garbage day. People in the office have always been very nice and understanding when we call. So thank you and keep up the good work!

If I could give zero stars i would. They bought our old company and the only thing that’s better is you can at least pay online now. They screw up almost weekly and have left broken glass and trash in front of cans after pick up almost every week.

Customer service is very nice. I pay for my rental houses garbage pick up and ordered a large can about six months ago. I have been paying for the bigger garbage can that whole time but they did not deliver the larger can until now. I had to call them to change my home address and customer service picked up on the mistake. I am getting a credit for the amount paid and they are delivering the large can.

I guess when you have a franchise your customer service can be terrible. I initially inquired about a drop box on behalf of deceased homeowner. I could not order a box under her account even though she has had garbage service FOREVER! A dropbox requires a $500 deposit (which is charged immediately, not pending, like a hotel reservation) and the difference between that and the actual charges can be refunded only by check - NOT as a chargeback to your card. A week after the box has been picked up, customer service can not tell me what the final charges are and that "processing" the refund can take up to 30 fricking days! They probably have 30 days to pay their transfer fees, so they get to keep your monies on their books for over a month. Who can do business this way except that residential clients are required to use you?

Most difficult to work with Garbage/Disposal company I've ever had to use. They are incredibly stingy about the types of recycling they will accept. Getting them to take my used motor oil is such a pain in the butt that I've started taking it to my local transfer station. Their billing system is also a major pain. They due bi-monthly billing and even though I was setup on autopay, my bill is somehow always 30 days late, every single time. I recently setup my bank to send payments monthly because Hoodview just can't get their billing straight. If you have another Disposal option (which most don't), I strongly recommend against Hoodview. They give Waste Management a good name.

Had automatic billing get cancelled on their end. Without notifying me . While I was out of town. Then they stopped service. Paperless billing backfired big time. I took care of it and was told they would pick up that day so I'm still waiting 6 days later for pick up.
