So I went down here today and everyone was friendly to the face but when I left I noticed I had something I didn’t when I arrived there a bolt in my tire so I called to let them know thinking maybe we could figure something out but no he proceeded to hang up if he doesn’t want words he can tell me to come him but I’m never going to that damn lot again costing me $60 for a tire plug because yall can’t keep your lot clean is bs if I could do 0 stars that’s what it would be
The employees at Wilks Steel are very friendly and helpful. I bought i beams here for my bridge. They was very nice about keeping them for me until I could pick them up....thank you Wilks Steel!!!
They have literally had everything I've ever asked for plus some extra like cast iron got some beautiful cast iron pieces from there and any and everything I've ever looked for they've had for me
Horrible experience today and last time I will go there. We normally go there to take cans and items but never again. I had called before I came to make them aware the item I was bringing would be difficult to get off truck and due to what seemed to be an angry rude employee, the mower (my item) was inconsiderately scrapped, beaten and banged across my truck and tailgate. When I confronted the person in the office, understandably upset, I was met with an attitude and "we cant help it, tough" attitude. I was told that the lift was discovered to be leaking fluid right after I called. When I asked why I couldn't have been told that there was no way to carefully remove mower, i was met with a hateful attitude and not given a direct answer. I initially told the man at the desk that I was going to send my mother in law there to take her mower but now I won't because she would rip that guy a new one if he damaged her truck. My truck is a '90 model and body isn't in best shape, but that doesn't justify beating it up. If I knew what wasn't damaged before incident, I would press charges for destruction of property. They need to be held accountable so here you go. Don't recommend this place as you don't know when they are having a bad day.
I give it 4 stars only because only one person the whole time my husband and I was there had spoken to us! That may be because we had a truck load of different things that’s took about an hour to unload. They definitely paid us really good for all of the metal, aluminum, bare bright, dirty copper, dirty brass and brass that we had taken to them! Would definitely recommend for the price wise!!
Decided to give this place a 3rd shot. Never again. Rules change without notice. Was treated like I was trying to pull something over on them. Nope. I will go nextdoor and not have to bring things back because thay won't take it the way you was told to do it last time you was there and be treated like I was. I'm done. I come not very often but you want to go through everything that I bring carefully even bags of bolts whenever a dump bed truck can just dump a load and go no questions.
My last two experiences we're very disappointing. I sat on the scales for almost right at 15min and 2 cars had pulled up and unloaded some cans as i sat there waiting i wasnt ever weighed so i just left.
Most recently if you post you are closing at 4:30 and tell people you close at 4:30 why have your gate closed 4:13 and tell me your closed and i asked so do yall close early now or somthing i was ignored. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.
